This article aims to enhance teachers' skills in creating interactive learning media and to improve teachers' understanding of pedagogical aspects that can be seen in the lesson planning process, especially in the selection of models or methods and learning media. This activity was conducted at Building B, Room 23302, Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Padang, using training methods, question and answer sessions, and practical exercises. Participants in this activity included Geography subject teachers from senior high schools in Padang City. The activity included training on how to design effective learning media and also provided training on creating interactive learning media on the topic of Lithosphere for high school geography teachers in Padang City. The training, conducted together with the Geography subject teachers, resulted in the creation of three-dimensional learning media and improved the teachers' skills in creating three-dimensional Lithosphere learning media. Through this training, teachers experienced an improvement in their understanding of pedagogical aspects, especially in lesson planning (RPP), particularly in the selection of models and learning media. Geography teachers also gained a better understanding of the competencies required to design and use media effectively, enabling them to create quality, efficient, and interactive learning experiences

The research results show that there are several programs at the Tajuk Renggali Cluster 1 Activity Center, namely; a) program for making learning tools, designing methods, teaching aids and creating learning media, b) road to school program which is held once a month, and c) best class competition

Strengthening the Resilience of The Northern Coastal Area of Sumbawa Island Through Earthquake and Tsunami Disaster Mitigation

This research aims to analyze efforts to strengthen the resilience of community areas on the north coast of Sumbawa and Satonda island, Nusa Tenggara Barat Province in efforts to mitigate natural disasters. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection was carried out using non-participatory observation methods, in-depth interviews and documentation aimed at people living on the north coast of Sumbawa Island and Satonda island which directly face the Flores Sea. The research results show that the resilience of the northern coastal area of Satonda Island is classified as vulnerable because the local community does not yet understand the potential for earthquakes and tsunamis and disaster mitigation aspects have not been a priority agenda for the local government. People who live on the coast do not receive socialization and knowledge about natural disaster mitigation. Thus, the resilience of the community area to face natural disasters is still relatively weak, so there is a high risk of negative impacts from these natural disaster

Spatial Determination of Earthquake Prone Zoning in Cugenang Sub-District

Indonesia is one of the countries prone to earthquakes due to the importance of geological processes. Plate interactions cause seismic phenomena that have an impact on human life. This research aims to identify the factors that influence earthquakes in Cugenang District and determine earthquake-prone zones located in Cugenang District. The data is processed using a weighting system and Spatial Multi Criteria Analysis (SMCA). This overlay technique uses four parameter maps, namely rock formation maps, slope slope maps, earthquake distribution and scale maps, and geological structure maps. Making maps using geographic information system analysis and remote sensing. The main factor in the damage that occurs is due to fault movement at fine depths and the type of lithology, causing damaging vibrations. The results of the research show that Cugenang District has areas that are very high, high, medium and low prone to earthquakes. High zoning is along the fault movement path, medium category division is in areas far from the epicenter and faults, and low earthquake prone areas are very far from the epicenter and fault alignment. Making a map of earthquake-prone zoning in Cugenang District can be a recommendation for development. The government needs to carry out building code management for buildings that will be built and place buildings in zones that are safe from fault movement

Zones of Terrestrial Coastal Issues and Development Communication Strategy in Padang Pariaman Regency

This research aims to explore distinctive zones of terrestrial coastal issues in Padang Pariaman Regency and identify communication strategies to address each zone. This research employs a literature research method by collecting secondary data and interpreting, integrating, and analyzing information. This research identifies five zones for coastal management, namely a) sandy beach zone used for shrimp pond operations, b) sandy beach for recreation activity, c) coastal abrasion-prone zones,  d) mangrove conservation zone, and e) sea turtle conservation zone. The government needs to empower and transform the community regarding knowledge, attitude, and practice through the development communication strategy. The important aspect of knowledge is information about coastal setback regulation and ecosystem processes with various impacts. Communication strategy for changing the attitude of people focused on avoiding causing harm to mangrove and turtle habitats and changing the habit of littering on the beach. Communities also have to be involved further in conserving mangroves and turtles

Policy Model of Degraded Land Control in the Anai Watershed West Sumatra Province - Indonesia

Increasing population growth has an impact on the need for land, giving rise to conflicts in its utilization. Land use conflicts lead to the growth of degraded land. The aim of this research is to determine the degraded land index and policy directions for controlling degraded land in the Anai watershed. To determine the degraded land index using a GIS approach with four indicators, namely: percentage of land cover, slope, soil depth, and land management. Next, to determine the direction of degraded land control policies using the AHP approach. The research results show that around 48% of the Anai watershed is degraded land. The results of the analysis of the AHP approach to policy strategies in controlling degraded land show that there are three priority directions, namely: 1) increasing community knowledge about forests; 2) increasing community skills regarding the added value of forest products; and 3) strengthening the institutions of indigenous community groups in forest areas. &nbsp
