Situational Leadership Leadership Maturity: Managing People to Perform and Building Commitments
Situational Leadership focuses on an individual's ability to identify and hen select work team strategies that, in their opinion, are most effective when pplied to each unique situation or task. Hersey and Balanchard also stated in their book Edgar H. Schein stated that a successful manager must have a good diagnostician who can assess the patient's emotional state. If a person's behavior and characteristics vary greatly, then he or she must have a high level of sensitivity and diagnostic ability in order to recognize and understand the behavior in question. But even with strong diagnostic abilities, managers frequently lack effectiveness unless they can modify their management approach to better suit the demands of their surroundings.
Like Hersey and Blanchar, heads of state must have the personal integrity and skills necessary to adapt to situations. If the needs and motive background are different, then it is necessary to do it in a different way. Situational emulation is based on the following: The degree of relationship behaviors (or socio-emotional support) and task behaviors (or guidance and direction) that the leadership provides. the degree of obedience participants saw in completing particular duties, obligations, or objectives.
The influence of situational leadership is felt in the team leader's interactions with team members. Participant safety is paramount in every situation. Not only because they individually like and respect the leader, but also because as a group they are very aware of the personal power that the leader has. The goal of this study is to ascertain how situational leadership is applied at the Branch Office of the Cabang Dinas Pendidikan Wilayah VIII Mentawai Islands Regency to motivate employees to work and foster a work-commitment culture. This study uses a case study as its foundation. In this study, methods for gathering data included interviewing, documenting, and participatory observation. Utilizing source triangulation techniques, data was processed. The study's conclusions indicate that 1) The maturity of members is the basis for leaders in taking managerial action and decision making. 2) The maturity of leaders in leading also influences the maturity of members. 3) Mature leaders are able to manage the maturity of their members so that they have good performance, 4) Mature leaders are also able to build the maturity of their members so that they have strong work commitment
Earthquake Vulnerability Assessment in Sanma Island, Republic of Vanuatu
The purpose of this assessment is to identify which councils on Sanma Island are vulnerable to earthquake hazards. To measure vulnerability, it is necessary to identify certain contributing components, including exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity. Exposure and sensitivity contribute to increasing the vulnerability, while adaptive capacity contributes to decreasing the vulnerability. Using this scheme, we identify specific variables for each component. These variables are called vulnerability variables. Next, we employ the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to obtain scores for each variable. Following the vulnerability assessment, five councils are categorized as areas with high vulnerability scores, including Canal-Fanafo, East Malo, East Santo, West Malo, and West Santo. This is because these areas are relatively close to the source of the threat (earthquake hazard). Moreover, these councils have a limited number of public facilities

Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles and Huberman.
Machine Learning to Identify Slum Settlements Based on Satellite Imagery Case Study: Padang City
Mapping of slums in Indonesia uses a survey-based mapping method. This method requires a lot of time and money, especially when updating data, especially during the current pandemic, it will be risky. Based on the Minister of PUPR Number 14/PRT/M/2020. Over the last 6 years (2014-2020), the mapping of slums cost 382 billion. In addition, the main disadvantage of the survey method is the inconsistency of the results due to the interpretation of surveyors in different fields. To overcome this problem, remote sensing-based slum identification with a machine learning approach with the help of High-Resolution Satellite Imagery (CSRT) and support vector machine (SVM) features can quickly and cheaply calculate slum areas. Therefore, the objectives of this study are (1) Identifying the distribution of slums using machine learning methods based on Satellite Imagery in Padang City. Based on the description above, it can be concluded that the level of slums in the identified areas of slum settlements in Padang City is predominantly light category. There is only one ward, Teluk Kabung Selatan, which is at the medium category. Slums not always squatter which is proven by the ownership status of the land certificate. Pasar Ambacang Ward has the most families in slum settlements (1.112 families). Meanwhile, Tarantang Ward has the smallest slum families in the identified slum area (25 families). Based on the results of the analysis using support vector machine and field verification, slums were identified in 45 (forty-five) villages spread across 11 sub-districts with a total area of 129.16 hectares. This condition is supported by the centralization of activities in the core village of Padang City, which creates a development gap with the hinterland area

Application of an assisted discovery learning Model e-lkpd to improve geography learning outcomes class x at sman 2 sungai rumbai dharmasraya regency
ABSTRACT
This research aims to, 1) determine students' learning activities in geography learning by applying the discovery learning model assisted by E-LKPD class E-LKPD class X at SMAN 2 Sungai Rumbai. The research carried out is classroom action research (Class-room Action Research). This classroom action research (PTK) was carried out in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The research was carried out in three cycles. The subjects in this research were class X science students with a total of 14 students. Data collection techniques use observation, learning motivation observation sheets, tests, and documentation. Data were analyzed using percentages and data reduction. The research results show that, 1) students' learning activities by implementing the Discovery Learning model assisted by E-LKPD in each cycle have succeeded in increasing. This can be seen from the increase in the grades of class X Science students at SMAN 2 Sungai Rumbai from cycle to cycle. In cycle I the level of student activity was in the sufficient category, then in cycle II it was in the good category, and increased in cycle III, namely in the very good category, 2) learning by applying the discovery learning model assisted by E-LKPD can improve Learning outcomes of class In cycle I, there were 6 students who completed it or 43%, then it increased in cycle II to 9 people or 64%, and 12 people or 86% reached the completion criteria set in cycle III. This means that there is an increase in each cycle of student learning outcomes in Geography learning by implementing the Discovery Learning learning model assisted by E-LKPD.
