    Ethics of Using Technology in Strengthening Students Religious Character

    In the current era of globalization, technology is increasing and offers many unstoppable conveniences. This is the biggest challenge for humans, so all parties must be jointly responsible for controlling the use of technology to be in harmony with human values. This study examines the ethics of using technology to strengthen students' religious character. This study uses a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach, namely research that focuses on individual experiences of a phenomenon by collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. Ten people became research subjects, including five lecturers and five students. The resulting data were analyzed through data reduction, presentation, verification, and conclusion. The use of technology brings positive impacts and ethical challenges. Studies show that religious beliefs influence students' religious character, and character strengthening can be done through religious education and the wise use of technology. Integrating ethics and strengthening religious character will create a society that is responsible, cultured and has a solid ethical awareness in the digital era. The findings from this study can provide students with an in-depth understanding of the importance of the ethical use of technology

    Measuring the Meaning of Islamic Education Curriculum Development

    Curriculum, as a soft component, is vital as a guiding tool to achieve the vision and mission determined by each educational institution. Therefore, curriculum development for an educational institution should consider aspects of student development, community needs and developments in science and technology. This research wants to see how the head of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and the teachers in the Ponorogo Ma'arif Education Institute interpret the development of the Islamic Education curriculum so that various subjects in the Islamic Education family can be achieved according to the goals formulated. This study uses an interpretive paradigm through a qualitative approach, a case study type. Data collection techniques use in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The analysis tool used is the qualitative analysis model of Miles and Huberman data reduction, data display and verification. I checked data validity using triangulation; credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. The study results show that the development of the Islamic Education curriculum is interpreted as a strategic activity to develop Madrasahs and link one component of the Islamic Education curriculum with other members. The development of the Islamic Education curriculum at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah within the Ponorogo Ma'arif Educational Institution follows the stages of curriculum development consisting of planning, organizing, implementing, human resources, control, and a comprehensive mechanism. &nbsp

    Examining Perceived Organizational Support and Teacher Empowerment

    This study aimed to investigate influence of perceived organizational support (POS) and teacher empowerment on teacher organizational commitment with job satisfaction as mediating construct. Study conducted on Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Pontianak, west Borneo, Indonesia. Participant are teacher student on professional education and training program/Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) at Institut Agama Islam Negeri Pontianak. Questionnaire used for collecting data. Findings reveal that the influence of perceived organizational suport (POS) on organizational commitment (OC) are not signifikan, but became positive significant while job satisfaction as mediating variable. perceived organizational suport (POS) positively predict job satisfaction. Islamic educational institutions are advised to increase teacher job satisfaction, because it relates to their organizational commitment to educational institutions

    Implementation of Religious Moderation Values in the Learning of Islamic Education

    This research is motivated by the need to teach the values of religious moderation at the senior secondary education level as a response to the phenomenon of spiritual understanding of some groups in Indonesian society, which tend to be extreme. Considering that at the senior secondary education level, entering an age vulnerable to influences both from within and outside education. Therefore, it is essential to internalize the purpose of this research, especially in the Madrasah Aliyah (MA) environment. Otherwise, a qualitative approach with a field study research design will gradually lead to national instability. Data were obtained through observation, interviews and documentation of actual conditions and facts that occurred in the field, supported by books, the latest journals and other sources in the form of related information. Data analysis was performed by condensation, presentation and verification. The implementation of religious moderation is pursued in 4 strategies, namely, First, insert moderation content in each lesson. It is second, optimizing the learning approach. Third, organizing specific programs, education, training and debriefing. Fourth, the teacher makes observations simultaneously. The implementation of religious moderation within Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Al-Huda has been running, realized in textbooks of integral and interconnected subjects, starting from regulation to the level of learning. &nbsp

    Strategy for the Development of Islamic Education Institutions in the Academic Sectors

    Realising the development of educational institutions that will produce competitive graduates, have good morals and impact increasing the quality of Islamic education that can compete and be competitive with other educational institutions by trying to focus on handling institutional management so that it is better by focusing on development in the academic sector. This study aims to identify and analyse institutional development strategies in the academic sector at MA Mambaul Ulum Jember. Qualitative research by looking at the problems and research objectives to be achieved. This research uses a type of phenomenological research. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis by condensing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of his research: Institutional development in the academic field is carried out by changing views on education, complying with Ministry of National Education policies, creating a good institutional culture, and changing the learning process. The institutional development strategy in the Academic Sector at MA Mambaul Ulum Jember is implemented by adjusting: The strategy for developing Islamic education institutions at MA Mambaul Ulum Jember is implemented by: 1) Forming students' competitive mindset through rewards, 2) Developing teacher creativity in the teaching and learning process, 3) Innovation in learning services, 4) curriculum innovation. In implementing education, the quality of academic services must be carried out in a directed, disciplined manner and guarantees the realisation of good quality education

    Implementation of Tajweed Learning with Jigsaw Strategy and Contextual Learning

    The purpose of this research is motivated by religious learning that uses more lectures or da'wah methods. In contrast, Islamic religious education, specifically in tajwid, should use more practice and contextual, including educators' need for more attention in providing motivation and innovation in the learning process. This study uses a qualitative method with a social, educational approach. This type of research is field research, so the data obtained comes from the practice of tajwid teacher learning using observation and interviews. The study results on implementing the Jigsaw and Contextual Learning strategies in Islamic learning, especially in tajwid learning at the Mandailing Natal State Islamic College, use the seven essential components of the Jigsaw strategy. Then later in its implementation, students study in groups with cooperative techniques and try to be responsible for the assignments given. Using the seven essential components of the Jigsaw strategy is an original contribution to learning the Islamic religion. In addition, the implementation of group learning using cooperative techniques and emphasizing student responsibility for the assignments given also provides added value in this research

    University and the Narrative of Ethno-Religious Relations in West Kalimantan

    The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze educational institutions' contribution to the study of Islam and ethnicity in West Kalimantan and to see the relationship between the two. The method used is qualitative, with a literature study approach and documentation of published or published materials. Data analysis by classifying thematically and qualitative description. Testing the validity of the data was carried out using triangulation. The analysis results concluded that educational institutions in West Kalimantan had significantly contributed to building ethnoreligious narratives in West Kalimantan. Through lecturers and students, educational institutions such as IAIN Pontianak, Tanjungpura University Pontianak, IAIN Sambas, Pontianak State Polytechnic have conducted studies on Islam and ethnicity. In particular, studies on Islam and Malay, Islam and Dayak, Islam and China (Chinese), Islam and Madura, and Islam and Bugis are carried out by lecturers and students studying in educational institutions and society. These studies also strengthen the ethnoreligious narrative that Islam is an inessential part of theconstructinghnic communities in West Kalimantan. The systematic research design presents important social engineering material for the future of religious and ethnic relations, especially Islam and ethnicity in this area

    Merdeka Curriculum: Encouraging Creativity and Innovation of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Madrasah

    The Merdeka Curriculum is a new curriculum in Indonesia that gives teachers the freedom to develop learning materials and methods that suit students' needs. This research aims to examine the influence of the Merdeka Curriculum on the quality of Islamic Education (PAI) learning. This research uses qualitative methods to understand how the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum encourages PAI teacher creativity and innovation in three different State Madrasah Aliyah (MAN) schools in the big cities of Medan, Padang and Bukittinggi. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and study of related documents. Merdeka Curriculum, data analysis was carried out using thematic, narrative and comparative analysis techniques. The research sample consisted of PAI teachers who had implemented the Merdeka Curriculum for more than one year and had sufficient teaching experience. The research results show that the Merdeka Curriculum has positive potential in improving the quality of PAI learning, including a more open and flexible learning approach, the relevance of learning to everyday life, as well as developing the character and ethics of students. However, the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in PAI learning also faces several challenges, such as teacher competency and readiness, support from each government and schools in each region, as well as the availability of resources. Comprehensive support from various parties, including government, schools and teachers, is needed to overcome these challenges

    Qur'anic Perspective on Social Religious Conflict Resolution Based on Culture of Togetherness and Rembugan in Indonesia

    This study described the resolution of religious and social conflicts in Bantarkawung, Central Java, Indoensia; its contributing factors and how they aligned with the Qur'an's perspective. This study employed a qualitative approach by conducting interviews with participants in conflict resolution. During the Covid-19 period from 2020 to 2021, we collected data. This study found that the local government and religious leaders resolved conflicts based on the culture of togetherness in religious rituals and social works, fostering interactions and adhering to consensus-based "rembugan" to accept differences in religious understanding, particularly regarding ?l?l-amr. In this region, conflicts were typically resolved through conciliation, with a conciliator initiating the process. Additionally, the conciliator actively devised and formulated resolution steps for the disputing parties. This resolution was a combination of ?ul? (reconciliation) and ta?k?m (arbitration), according to the Qur'an. However, this research had limitations; consequently, it is necessary to conduct similar studies in other regions of Indonesia with distinct characteristics from the research area. Comparative studies would also be useful with countries that share similarities with Indonesia, such as Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, and Singapore and those that differ, such as Middle Eastern, Australian, American, and European nations

    Utilization of Social Media as a Digital Publication Strategy at Nurul Ulum Islamic Boarding School

    Social media is essential for introducing Islamic educational institutions to the broader community. The presence of social media is beneficial and provides benefits for Islamic educational institutions in the digital publication of the educational services offered. This study aims to describe the use of social media as an effort for digital publications carried out by the Nurul Ulum Islamic boarding school Blitar City. This research uses a qualitative approach, and this type of research is descriptive. This study's data sources were Islamic boarding school caretakers, public relations schools, teaching boards, and administrative staff. This study used several data collection methods: participatory observation methods, in-depth interview methods, and documentation methods. The data analysis technique used is; data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The study's results stated that the types of social media users at the Nurul Ulum Islamic boarding school included Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. This research shows that YouTube is a social media often used as a digital publication.  The purpose of using social media at the Nurul Ulum Islamic boarding school is as a medium of communication, media for promotion, and media to build institutional brands. The real implication of using social media is that the wider community increasingly recognizes the Nurul Ulum Islamic boarding school, the number of students is increasing yearly and has received broad public trust
