Development of Islamic Education: The Multidisciplinary, Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Approaches
In the ideal level, Islamic education must touch on 3 (three) aspects. "Knowing" realm understanding value Islamic religion, "doing" realm practicing the values Islamic religion, "being" go through a period of life following values Islamic religion. However, the development of the 21-st Century, which provides open access to all information from cyberspace, has not been fully implemented in the field of Islamic education so that it gives a challenge for the world of Islamic education in implementing the concept of "being" optimally in the process of learning. This article aims to describe and analyze the development of the Islamic education curriculum through 3 (three) approaches: multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary. This article uses a qualitative approach to the type of literature study research. A literature study that is in line with the research theme leads this research to the conclusion. First, the Common Core State Standards (Kurikulum Inti) emerge as a form of balance standardization between the aspects of ideal learning and skills needs in the 21st-century. Second, the difference between multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches lies in the "starting point" of each approach. Multidisciplinary emerge as the form of concepts and skills desired by each discipline (explicitly), interdisciplinary in the form of shared concepts and skills, as long as a scientific discipline (implicitly) and transdisciplinary in the form of real reality in life where students being both subject and object in gaining that knowledge. Third, the similarity between multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches lies to balance between accountability, relevance, and development of the 21st-century; all three are integral parts of the Core Curriculum; all three involve more than one scientific discipline in discussing a theme/issue and; all three have aspects of evaluation/assessment during the learning process
Internalization of Islamic Values for Students with Special Needs in Special School Education Institutions (SLB)
This research is based on the assumption that the need to internalize Islamic religious education is more effective in knowing how much students absorb in learning Islamic religious education. Internalization of Islamic education can be used as a reference as a better learning process. The purpose of this study was to describe the concepts, constraints and solutions to the internalization of Islamic religious education for children with special needs at the Extraordinary Middle School Kemala Bhayangkari, Trenggalek, East Java, Indonesia. The research method uses a qualitative approach. Data collection is done using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Check the validity of the data with confirmation techniques and peer discussions. Data analysis using interactive analysis, namely conceptualization, categorization, then reduced, the presentation of the data then held conclusions. The results of the study: 1) The concept of internalization starts from learning planning tailored to the conditions of students so that they can receive the planting of religious values well. 2) Constraints on internalizing Islamic values for students with special needs, namely the difficulty of the teacher in determining indicators of student success in absorbing the material that has been taught, lack of teacher knowledge about the nature of students with special needs (in this case mental retardation) and the psychology of child development in general, not yet available and supporting infrastructure to the fullest. 3) Solution to the internalization of Islamic values for children with special needs: Islamic religious education teachers to always improve the quality of learning and teaching experience consciously and independently through the MGMP forum and also with efforts by the leadership of institutions that always encourage teachers to improve quality of teacher resources by including in trainings or seminars, workshops, FGD (forum group discussions), etc. relating to children with special needs (mental retardation).
Penelitian ini didasarkan pada anggapan perlunya internalisasi pendidikan agama Islam yang lebih efektif untuk mengetahui seberapa besar penyerapan siswa dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam. Internalisasi Pendidikan agama Islam dapat dijadikan acuan sebagai proses pembelajaran yang lebih baik lagi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan konsep, kendala dan solusi internalisasi pendidikan agama Islam anak berkebutuhan khusus di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Luar Biasa Kemala Bhayangkari, Trenggalek, Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data dengan teknik konfirmasi dan diskusi teman sejawat. Analisis data menggunakan analisis interaktif yaitu konseptualisasi, kategorisasi, kemudian direduksi, penyajian data selanjutnya diadakan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian: 1) Konsep internalisasi dimulai dari perencanaan pembelajaran disesuaikan dengan kondisi siswa agar mereka dapat menerima dengan baik penanaman nilai religius. 2) Kendala internalisasi nilai Islami bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus yaitu kesulitan guru dalam menentukan indikator keberhasilan siswa dalam menyerap materi yang telah diajarkan, minimnya pengetahuan guru tentang hakekat siswa berkebutuhan khusus (dalam hal ini tunagrahita) dan tentang psikologi perkembangan anak secara umum, belum tersedia sarana dan prasarana pendukung secara maksimal. 3) Solusi internalisasi nilai Islami bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus: guru pendidikan agama Islam agar selalu meningkatkan kualitas belajar dan pengalaman mengajar secara sadar dan mandiri melalui forum Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) dan juga dengan upaya oleh pimpinan lembaga yang selalu mendorong para guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya guru dengan mengikut sertakan dalam pelatihan-pelatihan atau seminar, workshop, FGD (forum group discussion), dll yang berkaitan dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus (tunagrahita)
Implementation of The Sima'i Method in Improving Memory of Daily Prayers
In religious learning, students are expected to be able to understand the daily prayers taught in class. To achieve these goals, the right method is needed so students can follow these prayers. One way that can be used to prepare daily prayers is the sima'i method. This type of research is classroom action research. The results in this study are students can memorize correctly and both on the accuracy of speech, fluency, and attitude. This study concludes that the sima'i method has a positive influence on increasing the ability to memorize daily prayers on the subject. The results are taken based on the comparison of data between before and after being given treatment in the form of applying the sima'i method to the topic.
Dalam pembelajaran agama, siswa diharapkan mampu mamahami doa-doa harian yang diajarkan di kelas. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, diperlukan metode yang tepat agar siswa dapat memahami doa-doa tersebut. Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk mengajarkan doa-doa harian adalah metode sima’i. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswa dapat menghafal dengan benar dan baik pada ketepatan ucapan, kelancaran dan sikap. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah metode sima’i memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan menghafal doa-doa harian pada subjek. Hasil tersebut diambil berdasarkan perbandingan data antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan berupa penerapan metode sima’i pada subjek
Effectiveness of Educational Objectives: Advancing the Quality of Education in Indonesia
In the contents of the Republic of Indonesia Constitution no. 20 of 2003 concerning National Education System is the realization of an education system as a strong and authoritative social institution to empower all Indonesians to develop into quality maneuvers that are capable and proactive in responding to the challenges of an ever-changing era. However, along with the rapid development of the times, with the emergence of various kinds of problems, especially in the field of education, which makes the goals of education contained in the law tend to be difficult to realize. So, to facilitate the development of educational goals with the aim of advancing the quality of education in Indonesia, there are three things that must be done, namely : 1) developing the quality of human resources, 2) building a Strong Educational Foundation and Clear Vision, 3) developing a noble moral based curriculum.Dalam undang-undang RI No. 20 tahun 2003 tentang Sisdiknas adalah terwujudnya sistem pendidikan sebagai pranata sosial yang kuat dan berwibawa untuk memberdayakan semua warga Indonesia berkembang menjadi manusia yang berkualitas sehingga mampu dan proaktif menjawab tantangan zaman yang selalu berubah. Akan tetapi, seiring dengan cepatnya perkembangan zaman, dengan munculnya berbagai macam permasalahan terutama dalam bidang pendidikan, yang membuat tujuan dari pendidikan yang tertuang dalam undang-undang tersebut cenderung sulit terwujudkan. Maka, untuk memudahkan pengembangan tujuan pendidikan dengan maksud memajukan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia, ada tiga hal yang mesti dilakukan yaitu; 1) mengembangkan kualitas sumber daya manusia, 2) Membangun landasan pendidikan yang kuat dan visi yang jelas, 3) mengembangkan kurikulum berbasis akhlak mulia
Devotionalism in Diversity: The Islamic Paradigm in Multiculturalism in Langsa-Aceh Indonesia
Artikel ini hasil dari penelitian yang membahas tentang paradigma ulama Langsa Aceh (cendekiawan Islam) untuk mengatasi multikulturalisme. Studi ini juga mengungkapkan konsistensi dari kesepakatan para cendekiawan Islam tentang eksklusivitas dan inklusivitas; mencegah munculnya radikalisme dalam komunitas Islam, khususnya daerah perkotaan Langsa di Aceh. Ini membahas fenomena rekrutmen baru-baru ini dengan "cuci otak" pada siswa yang lebih muda, karena mereka dipenuhi dengan ideologi radikalistik tertentu. Ajaran pendidikan Islam lebih pada mengklaim kebenaran agama itu sendiri dan menganggap agama sebagai satu-satunya meraih keselamatan (menekankan klaim kebenaran diri dan keselamatan). Penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan penerapan deskriptif-analitis. Data primer diperoleh dari wawancara mendalam dengan sumber tokoh agama, dosen Perguruan Tinggi Islam, guru, siswa non-muslim, dan elemen masyarakat. Keandalan kesalehan dalam keragaman dan paradigma multikulturalisme dikonversi ke persamaan statistik. Persamaan matematika diterapkan Koefisien Cohen Kappa (ukuran reliabiltas). Ini diukur antar eksklusivitas dan inklusivitas dengan klaim kebenaran diri dan paradigma keselamatan Cendekiawan Islam. Kesepakatan tingkat antara instrumen yang dinilai menggambarkan reliabilitas antar penilai -IRR- hasil wawancara informan tingkat konsensus di identifikasi antara keamanan hasil konsistensi kontrak antara kesalehan dan eksklusifitas-inklusivitas, karena klaim diri menunjukkan "kurang" (kappa, 0,20-0,41), sementara kesepakatan antara pengabdian dan keselamatan adalah "sangat baik" (kappa 0,81-0,90). Dengan reliabilitas antar penilai, K=0,89 dengan kategori luar biasa.This article is the result of a study that discusses the paradigm of Langsa Aceh scholars (Islamic scholars) to overcome multiculturalism. This study also reveals the consistency of the agreement of Islamic scholars regarding exclusivity and inclusiveness; prevent the emergence of radicalism in the Islamic community, especially the urban areas of Langsa in Aceh. It discusses the phenomenon of recent recruitment by "brainwashing" in younger students because they filled with certain radicalistic ideologies. The teachings of Islamic education are more about claiming the truth of the religion itself and consider religion as the only one to achieve salvation (emphasizing claims of self-truth and safety). This research is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical application. Primary data obtained from in-depth interviews with sources of religious leaders, lecturers of Islamic Higher Education, teachers, non-Muslim students, and community elements. Reliability of piety in diversity and the paradigm of multiculturalism converted to statistical equations. Mathematical equations applied to the Cohen Kappa coefficient (a measure of authenticity) and measured between exclusivity and inclusiveness with the claims of self-righteousness and the safety paradigm of Islamic scholars. The level of agreement between the instruments assessed illustrates the reliability between assessors -IRR- the results of the informant's interview level of consensus are identified between the safety of the results of the consistency of the contract between piety and exclusivity, because self-claims show "lack" (kappa, 0.20-0.41) , while the agreement between service and safety is "very good" (kappa 0.81-0.90). Islamic Education in The Theological Perspective
There is a differentiation between both Islamic and Western education. Western education has no conception of the will of God, the good pleasure of God, the design of human servitude to God, and let alone the understanding about life after death. Western view more striking on social interests alone (Humancentris) without trying to relate it to the Supreme Reality intervention. Education in Islamic perspective, mainly supported by theology, gave enlightenment to issues such as education. Islamic does not mean do not look optimal human capability, but in spite of this achievement of social progress as a result of the educational process remain in the corridor and the involvement of God's relationship. Islamic education, with a theological perspective presents an alternative conception of the development of an educational standpoint.
Terdapat perbedaan antara pendidikan Islam dan Barat. Pendidikan Barat tidak memiliki konsepsi kehendak Tuhan, kesenangan baik Tuhan, konsepsi perbudakan manusia kepada Tuhan, dan apalagi konsepsi tentang kehidupan setelah mati. Pandangan Barat lebih mengena pada kepentingan manusia saja (Humancentris) tanpa berusaha menghubungkannya dengan intervensi Realitas Tertinggi. Pendidikan dalam pandangan Islam terutama didukung oleh teologi memberi pencerahan untuk masalah-masalah pendidikan tersebut. Islam tidak berarti tidak melihat kemampuan manusia yang optimal, tetapi terlepas dari pencapaian kemajuan manusia ini sebagai hasil dari proses pendidikan tetap berada di koridor dan keterlibatan hubungan Tuhan. Contemporary Issues of Islamic Religious Education in The Scope of Delegate Vocational High School (SMK) Muhammadiyah
Pendidikan Agama Islam di Indonesia hingga saat ini masih menghadapi berbagai persoalan dan tantangan serta kritikan dari berbagai pihak, baik dalam lingkup internal maupun eksternal. Sekolah harus mempunyai eksistensi dalam kualitas dan memiliki ciri khas. Problematika yang ada di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Muhammadiyah Delanggu, Klaten, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia meliputi: problem kualitas baik sarana prasarana dan output lulusan, problem lembaga pendidikan swasta yang secara sosial masih di anggap nomor dua setelah lembaga pendidikan negeri, problem sistem dua jalur zonasi dan prestasi. Dengan adanya problem tersebut, maka solusinya antara lain: selalu meningkatkan sarana prasarana dengan melibatkan banyak pihak yayasan dan stakeholder sekitar sekolah dengan tidak berpangku tangan kepada pemerintah semata, membuat pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, penambahan kurikulum agama yang menjadi khas sekolah, guru membuat terobosan dalam pembelajaran, dan evaluasi dalam setiap kegiatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma interpretif melalui pendekatan kualitatif, jenis studi kasus. Hasil penelitian guru pendidikan agama Islam dikatakan berhasil dalam mendidik ialah yang dapat mengintegrasikan antara konsep yang ada di al-qur'an dan al-hadist dengan keseharian para peserta didik utamanya di sekolah dan dapat diterapkan juga keseharian di luar sekolah, guru juga di tuntut profesional dengan memahami dan mengaplikasikan kode etik guru dengan kinerja guru dalam kehidupan sosialnya.Islamic Religious Education in Indonesia is still facing various problems and challenges as well as criticism from multiple parties, both internal and external. Schools must have an existence in quality and have characteristics. Issues in the Muhammadiyah Delanggu Vocational School (SMK) Delanggu, Klaten, Central Java, Indonesia include problems of good quality infrastructure and output of graduates, matters of private educational institutions which are socially still considered number two after state education institutions, system problems two zoning paths and achievements. With this problem, the solution includes: always improving infrastructure by involving many foundations and stakeholders around the school by not merely standing by the government, making learning fun, adding to the religious curriculum that is typical of schools, teachers making inroads in learning, and evaluation in each activity. This study uses an interpretive paradigm through a qualitative approach, a type of case study. The research results of Islamic religious education teachers are said to be successful in educating those who can integrate the concepts in the Qur'an and Al-Hadith with the daily lives of the primary students at school and can also be applied daily outside the school, teachers are also required by professionals by understanding and using the teacher's code of ethics with the teacher's performance in his social life
Knowledge and Learning Teachers Toward The Implementation of Guided Inquiry Approach in Aqidah Curriculum
Pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing adalah kegiatan inkuiri di mana masalah dan berbagai pertanyaan diajukan oleh guru sementara siswa perlu memprakarsai temuan item. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengelola guru Pendidikan Agama Islam terhadap penerapan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing berdasarkan Aqidah di Sekolah Menengah. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi hubungan antara dua aspek. Metodologi penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dalam survei terhadap 108 guru Pendidikan Agama Islam. Analisis deskriptif dilakukan bahwa kedua elemen pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengelola guru berada pada tingkat tinggi. Analisis inferensi korelasi spearman juga menemukan bahwa kekuatan hubungan antara kedua aspek tersebut berada pada tingkat positif sedang. Implikasi dari penelitian guru perlu menekankan secara khusus pada masalah pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam implementasi pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing sehingga mereka dapat memiliki dampak positif dan efektif pada siswa seperti membantu siswa untuk memahami isi pelajaran agar lebih baik, mendorong proses kognitif dan budaya berpikir kritis serta memperkuat aqidah para siswa yang semakin mengkhawatirkan.The guided inquiry approach is an inquiry activity where problems and various questions are raised by the teacher while the student needs to initiate the findings of the item. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to know the level of knowledge and skill of managing the Islamic Education teacher towards the implementation of guided inquiry approach based on Aqidah in high school. Also, this study also identifies the relationship between the two aspects. The methodology of this study is quantitative in the survey of 108 Islamic Education teachers. The descriptive analysis was carried out that both elements of knowledge and skills in managing teachers were at high levels. Spearman's correlation inference analysis also found that the strength of the relation between the two aspects was at a moderate positive level. Furthermore, the implication of the study found that teachers need to emphasize specifically on issues of knowledge and skills in managing the implementation of guided inquiry approaches so that they can have a positive and effective impact on students such as helping students to understand the content of the lesson in better, encourage critical cultural cognitive processes of critical thinking as well as reinforcing aqidah in the students who are increasingly worrying about the day
Development of Android Based Learning Media in Qissah Qur'ani and Prophet Materials to Improve the Noble Achievement of Students
Penguatan karakter merupakan salah satu agenda besar dalam pendidikan bangsa Indonesia. Akhlak mulia merupakan salah satu bagian dari tujuan pendidikan nasional. Salah satu metode penanaman akhlak mulia yaitu terdapat metode qissah qur’ani dan nabawi. Sayangnya metode tersebut sebagian besar masih berlangsung di wilayah lembaga pendidikan saja. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya media yang bisa memfasilitasi pembelajaran peserta didik di manapun ia berada. Salah satunya adalah perangkat smartphone dengan sistem operasi Android. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengembangkan media pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) berbasis Android pada materi qissah qur’ani dan nabawi; (2) menguji tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan; serta (3) menguji pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan terhadap akhlak mulia peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian research and development. Subjek penelitian yang dipilih adalah mahasiswa Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Cirebon. Peneliti membatasi subjek yang diteliti adalah mahasiswa yang mengontrak mata kuliah PAI. Berdasarkan angket penilaian oleh ahli materi didapatkan presentase kelayakan tiap aspek (%) yaitu sebesar 91,25 % dan angket penilaian oleh ahli media pembelajaran sebesar 78,25 % sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran aplikasi android Akhlaq Mulia bisa dikatakan sangat layak digunakan, serta berdasarkan uji coba pemakaian melalui desain eksperimen Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, terdapat perbedaan perkembangan akhlak mulia mahasiswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dengan kata lain peningkatan akhlak mulia mahasiswa yang memperoleh perlakuan melalui media pembelajaran android (kelas eksperimen) berpengaruh positif signifikan.Strengthening character is one of the major agendas in the education of the Indonesian people. A noble character is one part of the goal of national culture. One method of planting lofty morals is the qissah qur'ani and nabawi methods. Unfortunately, these methods are still mostly in the area of educational institutions. Therefore, there is a need for media that can facilitate the learning of students wherever they are. One of them is a smartphone device with the Android operating system. This study aims to (1) develop Android-based Islamic Education (PAI) learning media on qissah qur'ani and nabawi material; (2) testing the feasibility of the learning media developed; and (3) testing the effect of the use of learning media developed on the students' noble morals. This research is a Research and Development study. The chosen research subjects were students of the University of August 17, 1945, Cirebon. Researchers limit the topics studied are students who contract PAI courses. Based on the assessment questionnaire by material experts, it was found that the percentage of each aspect (%) was equal to 91.25% and the assessment questionnaire by learning media experts was 78.25% so that it could be concluded that the learning media of the Android application Akhlaq Mulia could be said to be very feasible to use, and based on trial of usage through the pretest-posttest control group design experimental design, there are differences in the development of the noble character of the innovative class and control class students. In other words, the increase in the noble morals of students who received treatment through the android learning media (experimental class) had a significant positive effect
Management of Active Learning Strategies in Learning Fiqh in General Department Students
Keberhasilan pembelajaran pada suatu lembaga pendidikan tergantung pada kreatifitas dalam pembelajaranya dari usaha guru. Karena dia sebagai Guru, maka ia harus membawa pembelajaranya kearah tujuan yang telah ditetapkan. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan bagaimana perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi strategi active learning dalam pembelajaran fiqih (hukum Islam) pada peserta didik jurusan Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (MIPA) di Madrasah Aliyah Nahdlatul 'Ulama (MA-NU) Mojosari, Loceret, Nganjuk, Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma interpretif melalui pendekatan kualitatif, jenis penelitian studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ditemukan beberapa terkait perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi active learning dalam pembelajaran fiqih yang dilaksanakan di lokasi penelitian, semua telah sesuai dengan konsep teori walaupun masih ada penyempurnaan dalam hal implementasi yang otomatis akan mempengaruhi hasilnya, sehingga guru harus ekstra bekerja keras untuk kesempurnaan tersebut melalui evaluasi terus menerus.The success of learning in an educational institution depends on creativity in learning from the teacher's business. Because he is a teacher, he must bring the learner towards the goals he has set. This study describes how the planning, implementation, evaluation of active learning strategies in learning jurisprudence (Islamic law) in students majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) in Madrasah Aliyah Nahdlatul 'Ulama (MA-NU) Mojosari, Loceret, Nganjuk, East Java, Indonesia. This study uses an interpretive paradigm through a qualitative approach, a type of case study research. The results of the study found several related to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of active learning in fiqh learning carried out at the study site, all by the concept of the theory although there are still improvements in terms of implementation that will automatically affect the results, so the teacher must work extra hard to perfection through continuous evaluation
