2021 Distinguished Alumni Award and Cougar Hall of Fame Banquet
Each year, the University of Minnesota, Morris Alumni Association (UMMAA) recognizes alumni who have distinguished themselves in their personal or professional life. Nominations are accepted throughout the year and the recipients are determined by the UMMAA Board of Directors. In 2021, John Driscoll \u2771 and Peter Falkum \u2780 were honored.

Historical Trauma and Healing
Dr. Darryl Tonemah also has a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and Cultural Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a masters degree in Community Counseling, and three bachelor degrees in Psychology, Sociology and Gerontology. He currently travels to indigenous communities around the world teaching behavioral methods of change, and health and wellness. He has sat on numerous state and national boards addressing disparities in education and health care among the Native community. A singer/songwriter in the purest sense, Tonemah\u27s performances combine the energy of rock, the intelligence of folk and the heart of country, to create a musical niche he calls, Native Americana. Recent Advances in Smartphone Computational Photography
Smartphone cameras present many challenges, most of which come from the need for them to be physically small. Their small size puts a fundamental limit on their ability to resolve detail and collect light, which makes low-light photography and zooming difficult. This paper presents two approaches to improve smartphone photography through software techniques. The first is handheld super-resolution which uses natural hand movement to improve the resolution smartphone images, especially when zoomed. The second approach is a system which improves low light photography in smartphones
