Gen Z: Peduli Terhadap Ekosistem Mangrove di Kelurahan Lalowaru, Konawe selatan
Background: The problem of mangrove forest degradation in coastal areas is caused by various factors, including industrial activities, household activities, cultivation activities and land clearing for settlements. Previous research has stated that there needs to be concern from various parties so that mangrove forests in coastal areas are maintained. Until now, mangrove forest destruction, both natural and deliberate, is still quite high, making it a problem in most coastal areas. Situation Analysis: school students as the younger generation play an important role in disseminating knowledge about the importance of maintaining and preserving mangrove forests in coastal areas. Through this activity, it is hoped that a high level of love and concern for the environment can be created for school students in coastal areas. Approach Method: The approach stages carried out in this program consist of educating school students regarding the importance of maintaining mangrove forests in coastal areas. Results and Conclusions: When providing education to school students, they are first given an understanding of the importance of mangrove forests for the environment. After being given education and then practicing planting mangrove seeds directly, school students became enthusiastic about taking part in maintaining the mangrove ecosystem. Based on this, it can be concluded that education for the younger generation regarding the important function of mangrove forests needs to continue to be encouraged so that the younger generation is also involved in preserving coastal areas
Pemanfaatan Komoditas Tomat (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill) Guna Menciptakan Nilai Tambah Dengan Melakukan Sosialisasi Pembuatan Manisan Tomat Di Desa Paok Pampang Kecamatan Sukamulia Lombok Timur
Tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill) is a horticultural crop that has high economic value and is widely used as a commercial product. Abundant tomato harvests make the price of tomatoes in Paok Pampang Village cheap. It was recorded that in July 2023, tomatoes have decreased in price from IDR 12,000 – IDR 22,000, down to IDR 3000 – IDR 4000 per kilo. With this low price, farmers sometimes leave their tomatoes in their fields, causing tomatoes that are ready to be harvested to rot and waste. The method used in this activity is a method in the form of practice that is carried out with several stages, including Activity Planning, Activity Preparation, and Activity Implementation. Next is the socialization of candied tomato products. This socialization aims to educate the public that tomatoes can have added value if converted into new products such as processed into candied tomatoes. Pelatihan Penetapan Harga, Kelengkapan Fasilitas, Variasi Produk dan Kemampuan Manajerial Pada Pengelola Café di Kawasan Sembalun Lombok Timur
Cafe managers in Sembalun sub-district have weaknesess managerial skills, ownership of business facilities, pricing, product variations and marketing. Solving these problems is the main focus of this service activity. The solution to these problems is through training activities with materials that are in accordance with the problems faced and business assistance. The conclusion of this service activity is that the manager of the Cafe in the Sembalun area is still not professional; the managerial ability of the cafe business is low, not creative in product variations, pricing is not right, ownership of facilities is still limited, and generally does not have a coffee blending professional (barista). Important results of the community service is that the team provide suggestions as follows; (1) price issues; (a) Do cost classifications based on the main function in manufacturing companies, (b) Determine the cost of goods, namely the cost of production, cost of goods sold, and selling price. (2) The problem of product variation, it is necessary to develop product variations both in terms of product lines and product items by means of; (a) use raw materials from agricultural products in the Sembalun area which are relatively large for food or beverage products. (b) Add a variety of products other than the core product (3) Facility problems, to provide more facilities, (4) managerial skills problems, a cafe manager must have high spirit, and competences and (5) Need to form groups/associations as a means to develop promotion
Optimalisasi Pemanfaatan Lahan Pekarangan sebagai Upaya dalam Membantu Ketersediaan Pangan dan Pemenuhan Gizi Rumah Tangga di Desa Pemenang, Lombok Utara.
Kerawanan pangan merupakan kondisi tidak tercapainya ketahanan pangan di tingkat wilayah maupun rumah tangga secara berulang yang dapat terjadi karena terbatasnya akses untuk mendapatkan pangan atau akibat keadaan darurat seperti bencana alam maupun bencana sosial (transient). Kecamatan Pemenang, Kabupaten Lombok Utara termasuk salah satu kawasan yang berpotensi rawan pangan karena rendahnya aksesibilitas masyarakat terhadap pangan dan kondisi geografi yang rawan bencana, terutama gempa bumi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan cara untuk dapat mencapai ketahanan pangan yang tidak hanya untuk meningkatkan ketersediaan pangan, tetapi juga dapat diakses oleh rumah tangga dalam kondisi apapun, termasuk ketika bencana seperti gempa bumi. Salah satu alternatif yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan kembali memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan rumah. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Pemenang Barat, Kecamatan Pemenang, Kabupaten Lombok Utara. Metode pendekatan yang dilakukan pada kegiatan ini adalah metode Tindak Partisipatif (Participatory Action Program), yaitu melakukan pendampingan melalui diskusi dan kegiatan usaha tani secara langsung. Tahapan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, monitoring, dan evaluasi. Pengembangan potensi lahan pekarangan di Desa Pemenang Barat sangat didukung oleh keunggulan potensi lokal, seperti kepemilikan lahan pekarangan yang masih ada, keinginan dan peran aktif masyarakat dalam pengembangan potensi lahan pekarangan yang cukup tinggi, dan sumberdaya lainnya yang juga sangat mendukug. Namun, ada beberapa kendala dalam pengembangan lahan pekarangan tersebut, seperti ketersediaan benih yang terbatas dan masyarakat yang belum terbiasa memanfaatkan lahannya secara produktif karena kurangnya pengalaman dan pengetahuan tentang teknologi budidaya di lahan pekarangan. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan pendampingan dan pembuatan demplot atau pemberian contoh dalam memanfaatkan pekarangan baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui lembaga sosial masyarakat atau dalam bentuk kegiatan lainnya
Pengembangan Agroindustri Pengolahan Hasil Pertanian Kelompok Wanitatani di Kecamatan Kediri Kabupaten Lombok Barat
The income of farm households that rely on the cultivation subsystem has so far been relatively low, so it is necessary to look for additional income such as processing agricultural products such as chilies and tomatoes which are easily damaged. Montong Are Village, Kediri District, has the potential to produce chilies and tomatoes, which when the main harvest prices fall, so it requires yield processing technology that can be obtained from training activities which are part of community service activities. The objectives of this activity are to: (1) increase the knowledge, skills and attitudes of women farming in agricultural product processing activities through training, (2) increase the quantity and quality of processed agricultural products, and (3) produce scientific publications. The target group is a member of a women's group of 30 people from 3 groups in Montong Are Village, Kediri District. The method used in community service activities is participatory based training where women farmers will be actively involved in every activity. Implementation of activities includes: outreach, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), training, and practice of processing agricultural products. The results of the training showed that there was an increase in knowledge for training with chili processing material by 50.45% and for training with tomato processing material there was an increase of 52.25%. In general, there was an increase in the volume of processed chili (sambal clove) and tomato sauce production, although it was not significant because at the time of activity, the production of chili and tomatoes was not much and the price was still high enough that it was not urgent to process them into processed chili/sambal and tomato sauce products. Pengenalan Tehnik Ekstraksi Minyak non edible Berbasis Baku Lokal di SMKPP Negeri Mataram
Non-edible oils are not used as food, which comes from plants that are not used properly, but are very abundant and even become waste. These plants are able to produce high enough oil, which is around 30-80% with a composition that is almost similar to edible. The oil can be obtained by extraction. However, most people do not know how to extract these oils. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce and train on how to extract these non-edible oils, especially people who have the potential to be young entrepreneurs, one of which is SMK. SMKPP Negeri Mataram is one of the secondary schools that carries out the mission of education in the field of agriculture extensively and prepares capable and skilled human resources in agriculture. This service aims to increase the knowledge and understanding of SMKPP Negeri Mataram students about local plants that have the potential as non-edible and oil extraction training which can later become the provision of students after graduation by taking advantage of the potential and opportunities that exist around them. This service activity will be carried out in two stages, namely introduction/socialization activities about plants that have the potential as non-edible and simple oil extraction training. The results of service activities have provided additional knowledge and understanding of SMKPP Negeri Mataram students about local plants that have the potential to produce non-edible oil and simple oil extraction techniques
Teknologi Microbubble Pada Kolam Ikan Koi Untuk Meningkatkan Kualitas Air di Desa Sokong Kabupaten Lombok Utara
Koi fish cultivation activities are beginning to be developed in Sokong village, this is due to increasingly high demand, so it must be taken to improve the quality of koi fish production, one of which is by improving water quality. The availability of dissolved oxygen is one of the water quality parameters which is an indicator of good and bad water quality. So, to maintain the quality of dissolved oxygen, technology is needed that can maintain and meet oxygen needs. This community service activity aims to provide information regarding the application of microbubble technology to maintain dissolved oxygen in water so that it can increase the productivity of koi fish cultivation in Sokong village, North Lombok Regency. This service activity consists of several stages including location surveys, socialization and discussions, making and assembling microbubbles and testing microbubbles. Microbubble is a technology that functions to increase oxygen transfer through small water bubbles. The type of microbubble applied is the venturi type because it has a simple mechanism and the tools used are easy to obtain. This activity received a very good response as evidenced by the enthusiasm of partners participating in all stages. The benefit of this service is not only providing information on microbubble technology, but the use of this technology can provide solutions for managing and monitoring koi fish cultivation media in Sokong Village, North Lombok Regency.
Pengembangan Literasi di Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM) Sangkuriang, Kelurahan Rancaekek, Kabupaten Bandung
Introduction to literacy for children will impact the improvement of creativity, quality of life, competitiveness, and good thinking skills. Sangkuriang Reading Centre is a reading park located in Rancaekek Village, Bandung Regency. The existing book collection is not attractive enough to encourage children to engage in literacy activities. This community service activity aims to help provide information, knowledge, and facilities that can support the improvement of children's literacy interest in Sangkuriang Reading Centre. This community service activity is carried out offline. The team directly visited the location and conducted several stages of activities there. Some of the program activities carried out in this activity are book donation, book inventory, numbering, installation of bookshelves, banners, posters, and literacy and games to support the improvement of children's reading interest. After all community service activities were carried out at Sangkuriang Reading Centre, several changes were observed, including changes in knowledge, attitudes, and skill
Mental Toughness Atlet Remaja: Sebuah Penguatan Dukungan Implementasi Kebijakan dalam Olahraga Prestasi
In competitive sports, various factors influence the outcome of the game. It is believed that the mental toughness dimension is an aspect that contributes greatly to sports achievement in practice. However, unfortunately the condition of mental aspects of teenage athletes in Papua is limited explored. Therefore, the purpose of this community service was to provide assistance for the local government of Papua Province, especially the Sports and Youth Division, in providing information on the mental toughness conditions of adolescent athletes at PPLP/D Papua. The activity was carried out in three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and reporting. The results of the service found that the confidence dimension appeared to be greater than the other dimensions, while the commitment dimension was the dimension with the lowest value. For other dimensions such as positive cognition, constancy, and control were relatively in the middle. In general, the pattern of mental toughness of Papuan youth athletes appears disproportionate. Thus, mental coaching or training should provide to improve the mental quality of athlete
Gerakan Literasi Pertanian: Penyuluhan Berbasis Pemberdayaan Melalui Budidaya Sayuran di Pondok Pesantren Tuhfathul An-Fananiah, Lombok Tengah
Sampai saat ini, pertanian merupakan sektor utama yang menyerap SDM dengan jumlah yang cukup tinggi. Namun, jumlah angka tersebut masih di dominasi oleh usia yang lebih dari 55 tahun. Salah satu penyebab terjadinya fenomena ini adalah citra sektor pertanian yang kurang bergengsi, rendahnya daya beli dan tingkat kesejahteraan yang belum menjanjikan. Alasan lain adalah cara pandang anak muda terhadap sektor pertanian yang dipengaruhi oleh nilai-nilai yang berlaku pada keluarga dan masyarakat pertanian itu sendiri, diantaranya sudut pandang bahwa pertanian dekat dengan dunia laki-laki, kemiskinan dan rendahnya tingkat pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukannya gerakan literasi pertanian berupa penyuluhan berbasis pemberdayaan dalam meningkatkan minat generasi milenial terhadap pertanian. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Tuhfathul An-Fananiah NW Lombok Tengah pada April-Juni 2023. Metode yang dilakukan pada kegiatan ini adalah metode Tindak Partisipatif (Participatory Action Program) yang terdiri dari kegiatan penyuluhan melalui diskusi (ceramah) dan penanaman secara langsung di pekarangan pondok pesantren. Strategi penyuluhan yang dilakukan adalah komunikasi dua arah agar para santri dapat tertarik dan memahami peluang dan masalah yang ditemui di bidang pertanian. Para santri aktif terlibat baik dalam kegiatan penyuluhan maupun dalam proses penanaman. Dengan adanya kegiatan penanaman tersebut, para santri mendapatkan pengalaman secara langsung dalam memelihara dan memanen tanaman. Namun demikian, masih perlu dilakukan pendampingan dalam mengelola tanaman sayuran di halaman pondok agar dapat terus meningkatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan santri mengenai pertanian, khususnya budidaya sayuran sehingga muncul minat santri untuk bergerak di bidang pertanian
