Get PDFThis community service is intended to develop IPPNU members’ capacity in order to strengthen their function as social support networks among girls in Kecamatan Tutur, Kabupaten Pasuruan Jatim since the incidence rate of child marriage in this area has become higher due to covid-19 pandemic. The organization’s ability to function as a social support network becomes critical for enhancing self-agency among girls in rural areas regarding their decision to marry. In order to develop this function, a range of treatments had been accomplished to improve participants’ knowledge, skills, and ability to apply critical thinking in both exploring the causes and designing preventive measures for child marriage. By involving 11 IPPNU members as participants, this community service employed workshops as the main method. The results have shown that participants’ knowledge about child marriage has been improved, particularly by the use of participatory communication techniques to explore some issues through the victims’ lens. This activity also resulted in the enhancement of participants’ knowledge and concern to utilize an online application for designing and creating digital content. Another interesting finding is the fact that participants had performed critical thinking through their reflection on what would they contribute to their environment individually

Another target is the general public who want to know and need knowledge in the fermentation of corn tumpi in animal feed. This activity was carried out through counseling and discussion as well as short training through demonstrations and practices on the manufacture of fermented corn tumpi. This counseling involved more than 29 participants from the planned 20 participants and also involved 6 final semester students. Stunting cases also occur in Narmada District, West Lombok Regency, which has productive rice fields, livestock and poultry can develop well. The still high number of stunting cases is related to low nutritional intake, unequal gender roles in household food security and efforts to prevent stunting in the household. This community service activity (PKM) is aimed at raising awareness among men as part of society, religious leaders and community leaders regarding stunting and efforts to prevent it. Apart from that, this PKM activity is also aimed at optimizing the role of religious leaders, community leaders and youth leaders in carrying out stunting awareness outreach and prevention efforts to the community, especially men. The method for implementing extension activities is carried out in stages, namely the first stage at the village level and the second stage at the hamlet level. The method used is a participatory counseling method, namely brainstorming, participatory lectures, questions and answers, discussions and practice. The implementation of extension activities ran smoothly and effectively. There has been an increase in knowledge and a growing positive attitude towards extension materials. This is demonstrated by the compilation of a collection of outreach materials (Pocket Books), the enthusiastic attitude of local resource persons and the active feedback/participation of participants during the question and answer sessions and discussions

Get PDFThe journalist profession is one of the professions that are vulnerable to personal security and safety. In recent years, threats and attacks, even killing journalists, have increased, including in Sikka Regency. This community service aims to encourage the achievement of increasing the basic capacity of journalists, especially in building self-protection mechanisms on the Internet. The methods given are in the form of lectures, sharing experiences, simulations, practice, and discussions. This training was attended by 10 journalists in Sikka Regency. From this training, it is known that all training participants have experienced violence in carrying out their journalistic work, whether physical, verbal, psychosocial or digital violence. The perpetrators of this violence come from the government, the community, sources, fellow journalists, and even the media where journalists work. This is due to journalists' lack of understanding of security itself and is exacerbated by the absence of a Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) at work. This shows that journalists work without being equipped with self-protection capabilities and without protection from institutions. This training is important considering that press freedom is one of the benchmarks for the quality of democracy in a country. This training then initiated the formation of the Safe Sikka Journalist Group

Even though it has advantages in natural beauty, unfortunately Prabu Village is still lacking in management and public awareness of the importance of existing tourism potential. Therefore, Unram Thematic KKN participants carried out community service in Prabu village with the theme 'Tourism and the Environment'. The purpose of this service is to introduce the tourism potentials in Prabu Village to the wider community. One of the programs carried out was by making a promotional video for Prabu Village which explained all the potential that the village had. Videos that have been made are then published on various social media (Youtube, Instagram, etc.), websites, and video platforms. With an effective promotional video, Prabu Tourism Village is expected to become an attractive tourist destination for both local and international tourists

Socialization activities in the school environment of SMA Negeri 1 Gunung Sari are implementation activities aimed at improving plant quality by utilizing chicken manure as solid organic fertilizer. This activity takes place through several stages, namely the preparation stage and the preparation of material, implementation stage accompanied by workshop activities with Direct Instruction and Focus Group Discuss and demonstration stage of making and applying organic fertilizer chicken manure in the environment around the school. The output of this activity is expected to increase awareness for workshop participants to be able to protect the surrounding environment by processing chicken manure waste to be used as planting media that can trigger plant growth and development, so as to reduce the rate of use of inorganic fertilizers that can reduce land quality.

To save time and make serving easier, it is necessary to prepare local moringa-based food products that are easy to serve in instant form and have high nutritional content.
