    Get PDF
A study of the surface of the fabrication process using the fused deposition modeling (FDM) technique is needed to determine the suitability of the process parameters with the use of the product to be made. Products that have special characteristics that take advantage of the surface properties of fabricated using FDM are often encountered in technical applications involving fluids. This research is a preliminary study of the Water Contat Angle (WCA) study on polymer filaments made of PLA. In this study, the effect of printing speed on the width of polymer deposition and the gap distance between one deposit and another polymer deposit on the sample surface was observed and analyzed using image processing techniques. The printing speed is made to vary from 30 mm/s, 60 mm/s, and 90 mm/s. The relationship between printing speed and polymer deposition width produces a linear equation y = 0.0008 x + 0.28 and the gap width between filament deposition on the sample surface shows a linear equation relationship y = -0.0002 x + 0.0833

This research was conducted to design packaging for typical Yogyakarta food products, Gudeg Jogja. Gudeg is known as a special food from the Special Region of Yogyakarta which is made from jackfruit cooked in coconut milk. As a typical food, Gudeg is often used as gift. Along with the need for Gudeg for souvenirs, various kinds of Gudeg packaging appeared on the market. The Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method is used to bring together what consumers want and then what producers can do to fulfill consumer desires. This method is used to design Gudeg packaging according to the needs of consumers. This product design development research uses a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The data is obtained from consumers and then processed. After knowing the results of data processing from the data that has been collected then a House of Quality is created. The result of this research is the design of Gudeg Jogja packaging that suits consumer needs

Waste has become a serious problem, especially in big cities, not only in Indonesia but also around the world. Waste production continues to increase along with population growth, and changes in consumption patterns and people\u27s lifestyles have increased the amount of waste, the type, and the diversity of waste characteristics. Waste bins are infrastructure available in every city park that makes it easier for park visitors to dispose of waste. make it easier for park visitors to dispose of waste. In some places, There are no bins based on the basic material of the waste, namely metal bins and non-metal bins that can be monitored in real-time. So a smart trash can is made that can sort metal or non-metal waste that can be monitored in real-time with the Internet of Things. The hardware used is Metal Proximity Sensor, Infrared Sensor, Servo Motor, Ultrasonic Sensor, MQ135 Gas Sensor, and ESP32 Microcontroller. The capacity in the trash can be monitored through the Blynk application, which will provide notification when the trash can is full. Based on the test results of the volume reading of the trash can, the success of the sensor to open and close is 99.26%. To sort non-metal waste and metal waste using proximity sensors with the results of testing the reading of waste objects obtained success in non-metal waste by 95% and metal waste by 100%

To increase the number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia, Peradaban University began to change the patterns of education, so the students not only have high scores in academics but they also have entrepreneurial skills. Despite this subject, entry of students into the field of entrepreneurship has always been faced with many barriers and most of them have not been able to analyze the barriers. This study uses a mixed method of quantitative and qualitative methods. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to analyze the dominant factors of the barriers. While the interview method was used as a qualitative method to find out the solution to the barriers. Respondents in this study were students at Peradaban University that have been entrepreneurs for at least one month. Data were obtained by spreading questionnaires to 32 students and interviewing four students. The result of the analysis shows that the dominant factors are environment of campus barriers (25.79%) followed by financial barriers (24.84%), character barriers (18.48%), educational barriers (17.03%) and family barriers (13.85%). And some solutions provided are learning time management, making the priority scale, approaching the lecturer, looking for investors, and inviting other friends to run the business together

The location of Indonesia, which is located between three major tectonic plates, has an advantage in the field of alternative energy, namely geothermal heat. This research was conducted in order to facilitate the government and the community in North Sumatra Province regarding the existing geothermal potential. Geothermal energy or can be called geothermal is heat energy contained in water fluid or in the form of steam, liquid, or a mixture of both which is at a depth of more than 1 kilometer below the earth\u27s surface. Indonesia has a geothermal potential of 40% of the total geothermal potential in the world, Indonesia is in second place, which is 23.76 GigaWatt (GW). One example is in North Sumatra in the Sarulla (330 MW) and Sibayak (120 MW) and Dolok Marawa (38 MW) areas. This study aims to create a mapping of geothermal potential in the province of North Sumatra using Quantum GIS by conducting literature studies, data collection, data management, and map visualization on Quantum GIS. reduce the use of fossil energy that is not friendly to the environment. The results show that the largest Geothermal Working Capacity Area (WKP) in North Sumatera is in South Tepanuli Regency with a total of 1,046 MW in Sibual Buali WKP and the second highest is Mandailing Regency of 240 MW
