Pengaturan Kecepatan Spindle Mesin Bubut Retrofit Menggunakan VSD (Variable Speed Drive)
Retrofitted milling machines are usually not equipped with a gear box to control spindle rotation, so they will experience difficulties if varied spindle shaft rotation is desired. The commonly used way to adjust the rotation of the spindle shaft so that it can vary is by adjusting the rotation of the spindle drive induction motor using a Variable Speed Drive (VSD). The research started by removing the old single phase induction motor and replacing it with a three phase induction motor, then creating a control circuit so that the VSD could work automatically with commands from the breakout board. The rotation adjustment is carried out using a potentiometer installed on the VSD. Spindle shaft rotation is detected using a pulse meter which gets a signal from an inductive proximity sensor and is installed on the spindle shaft. Experiments during the research showed that the spindle rotation could be adjusted using VSD properly, starting from a speed of 0 rpm to 2000 rpm. The spindle experiences a decrease in speed when subjected to a load, most likely due to slippage that occurs from the drive pulley which is rotated by the drive induction motor to the spindle pulley because it uses a belt transmission

Analisis Kekuatan Struktur Pada Desain Traction Rod Lokomotif Kereta Api Dengan Metode Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
The structural strength of locomotive bogies is crucial for bearing operational loads and absorbing engine vibrations to efficiently transmit torque to the train wheels. The traction rod, a critical component in this system, plays a key role in transferring power from the main engine to the locomotive wheels. With the CC300 locomotive engine producing 2.200 hp, the traction rod experiences significant loads, necessitating regular maintenance. Given that this component is currently imported, the company is striving to redesign the traction rod to ensure strong structural integrity for local production, reducing dependency on imports and optimizing maintenance costs. The redesign involves adding structures to the existing design to even out stress distribution and enhance safety factors. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is utilized to compare the structural strength between the original and redesigned designs, resulting in significant improvements in load-bearing capacity and deformation reduction. Simulation results show variations in stress, deformation, and safety factors among the original design, the redesign by the company, and the redesign by the researchers. The original design exhibits a stress of 194,64 MPa, deformation of 4,2817 mm, and a safety factor of 1,2844. The company\u27s redesign achieves a stress of 438,37 MPa, deformation of 3.4356 mm, with a safety factor of 0,5703. Meanwhile, the researchers\u27 redesign shows a stress of 154,05 MPa, deformation of 4,4812 mm, and a safety factor of 1,6288
Literature Review : How to Examine the Mediating Factor of Government Role in Renewable Energy Adoption
Indonesia is a blessed country with abundant renewable resources and the potential to manufacture up to 419 GWh of clean electricity for its people. The government plays a crucial role in shaping and nurturing the proper environment to support RE adoption and transition toward a sustainable economy. Various tools and dimensions are available to observe the government\u27s role in accelerating RE adoption. However, studies show that the metrics used to examine Indonesia’s government regarding RE adoption are lacking. This provides an opportunity to improve the metrics by referring to countries worldwide that show success in the particular research field. The current study aims to address the challenge by presenting a literature review of studies on the government\u27s role in RE adoption and extracting insight to develop improved metrics for examining Indonesia’s government\u27s role in RE adoption. Furthermore, we use data mining to visualize the research map of the current topic to provide an understanding of which areas are underexplored. Thus, future studies can refer to the results to contribute further to the literature

Evaluation of Solar-Powered Street Lighting Performance at Kamijoro Bridge, Yogyakarta
Indonesia\u27s fossil fuel dependence has led to significant environmental problems, including greenhouse gas emissions, climate change, and ecosystem degradation. Given its location along the equator, Indonesia has enormous potential for harnessing solar energy. This research evaluates the solar insolation potential of solar-powered street lighting (PJU-TS) installed at Kamijoro Bridge, Yogyakarta. Solar radiation data were obtained from NASA POWER, while light intensity was measured in the field using a Lux Meter. Results show that average solar radiation intensity at the site was 251.87 W/m², equivalent to a theoretical energy yield of 163.77 kWh/day under ideal conditions with a 17% PV efficiency. Field measurements demonstrated that PJU-TS 3 achieved the highest illumination (589 Lux at 18:00 WIB), although the intensity declined throughout the night. Luminance calculations confirmed compliance with the Indonesian quality standard SKh 1.9.7. These findings demonstrate the viability of solar street lighting for public infrastructure and provide recommendations for improving system stability, monitoring, and maintenance
