Pengaruh Penggunaan Teknologi Gadget Dalam Pembentukan Kedisiplinan Siswa Ekstrakurikuler Tapak Suci di MAN Palopo
This study was motivated by the phenomenon of increasingly widespread gadget use among students, but there is still a lack of research on its use as a means of character building, particularly discipline in extracurricular martial arts activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of gadget technology use on the character building of discipline among Tapak Suci extracurricular students at MAN Palopo. This study used a quantitative method with a correlation approach. The research population consisted of all Tapak Suci Muhammadiyah extracurricular students at MAN Palopo, with a sample of 20 students selected using purposive sampling based on specific criteria. The research instrument was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used Pearson's correlation test, simple linear regression, t-test, and F-test with the help of SPSS. The results showed that there was a strong and significant relationship between the use of technological gadgets and student discipline (r = 0.629; p < 0.05). The regression test results showed that the use of gadget technology had a positive and significant effect on the formation of students' disciplinary character with a contribution of 39.6%. This means that the more often students access Tapak Suci educational content through gadgets, the more their disciplinary character and responsibility as students will increase.This study aims to determine the effect of gadget technology use on the formation of discipline in extracurricular students at MAN Palopo. Technology, especially gadgets, has become the most popular tool among students and is used as a means of obtaining information. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlation approach. The population in this study is all Tapak Suci Muhammadiyah extracurricular students at MAN Palopo, with a sample of 20 students selected postposively based on certain criteria. Data analysis uses Pearson's correlation test, regression test, T-test, and F-test with the help of the SPSS application. The results of the study show that there is a very strong and significant relationship between the use of gadget technology and an increase in student discipline (r = 0.910, p<0.05). The regression test results also show that the use of gadget technology has a positive and significant effect on the formation of Tapak Suci students' discipline. This means that the more often students access educational Tapak Suci information on their gadgets, the more their positive discipline character and responsibility as students will increase. This study emphasizes that it is very important to use gadget technology educationally in supporting student character, especially in Tapak Suci Muhammadiyah extracurricular activities
Pendekatan Transformational Change Pasca Penyetaraan Jabatan Administrasi Ke Dalam Jabatan Fungsional di Ditjen Bina Pembangunan Daerah
Bureaucratic simplification in Indonesia is carried out to overcome the problem of a fat and hierarchical bureaucratic structure, which hampers the efficiency and effectiveness of public services. One of the strategic steps taken is to equalize echelon III and IV administrative positions into functional positions in accordance with Permenpan RB Number 17 of 2021. This study aims to analyze the impact of organizational changes after equalizing administrative positions into functional positions at the Directorate General of Regional Development using the Transformational Change approach. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design, utilizing primary data through in-depth interviews and direct observation, as well as secondary data from policy documents and academic literature. The results showed that this policy succeeded in creating a leaner organizational structure and accelerating decision-making. However, the implementation of this policy also presents a number of challenges, such as the mismatch of tasks and functions of functional officials, organizational culture resistance, and limited human resource competencies. In addition, although the work process has shifted from a hierarchical system to collaboration-based work, this transition has not been fully optimized due to technical constraints and lack of training. In conclusion, the Transformational Change approach can be an effective framework to support bureaucratic reform, provided that training, competency development, and technological support and adaptive leadership are strengthened. With the right strategy, the Directorate General of Regional Development can become a model for successful bureaucratic reform at the national level
Assessment of Tsunami Potential in Bali Using TOAST Modeling: Implications for Disaster Risk Reduction
This study aims to evaluate the tsunami hazard potential in the Bali region using multi-scenario numerical modeling to support disaster mitigation and early warning planning. Tsunami simulations were performed using the Tsunami Observation and Simulation Terminal (TOAST) with the EasyWave module. The model inputs were derived from the BMKG historical earthquake catalog and the 2017 Indonesian Seismic Hazard Map (PUSGEN), focusing on the Flores Back Arc Thrust segment north of Bali. Four earthquake magnitude scenarios (Mw 7.0, 7.2, 7.5, and 8.5) were simulated to estimate maximum wave heights and tsunami arrival times along the Bali coastline. The results indicate that nearly all coastal areas of Bali are vulnerable to tsunami impacts. In the worst-case scenario (Mw 8.5), maximum wave heights exceed 5 m in Sanur (Denpasar), Klungkung, and southern Karangasem, with short arrival times ranging from 5 to 22 minutes, corresponding to the highest warning level. Although moderate-magnitude scenarios (Mw 7.0–7.5) generate lower wave heights, tsunami arrival times remain rapid, indicating limited evacuation opportunities. These findings highlight the urgency of multi-scenario tsunami hazard assessment, enhancement of tsunami early warning systems, and improvement of evacuation preparedness to reduce tsunami risk in Bali
Analisis Potensi dan Permasalahan Wilayah Dataran Tinggi Dieng Sebagai Dasar Pengembangan Wilayah Perspektif Geografi Regional
Dataran Tinggi Dieng merupakan kawasan strategis di Jawa Tengah yang memiliki karakteristik biofisik dan sosial-budaya yang unik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi dan permasalahan wilayah Dieng sebagai dasar perumusan strategi pengembangan wilayah melalui pendekatan geografi regional. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan sintesis data sekunder dari berbagai literatur ilmiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa potensi utama Dieng terletak pada sektor pariwisata alam dan budaya, serta sektor pertanian hortikultura (kentang). Namun, pengembangan wilayah ini menghadapi tantangan serius berupa degradasi lingkungan, risiko bencana geologi (gas beracun dan gerakan tanah), serta alih fungsi lahan yang masif. Dari perspektif geografi regional, integrasi antara perlindungan ekosistem hulu dan peningkatan kesejahteraan ekonomi masyarakat lokal menjadi kunci keberlanjutan. Diperlukan penataan ruang yang berbasis mitigasi bencana dan diversifikasi ekonomi agar ketergantungan pada satu komoditas pertanian dapat dikurangi. Pengembangan infrastruktur pariwisata yang ramah lingkungan harus diprioritaskan untuk menjaga kelestarian geo-heritage Dieng
Pengaruh Lokasi Tumbuh terhadap Perbedaan Aktivitas Antioksidan Ekstrak Metanol Daging Buah Kepundung (Baccaurea racemosa (Reinw. ex Blume) Müll. Arg.)
Excessive exposure to free radicals can potentially trigger degenerative diseases in the body. Therefore, antioxidant compounds are required to inhibit free radical reactions. Several antioxidant compounds can be naturally obtained from plants. Kepundung fruit (Baccaurea racemosa (Reinw. ex Blume) Müll. Arg.) is one of the fruits reported to contain bioactive compounds with potential antioxidant properties. However, the study about the effect of different growing locations on the antioxidant activity of kepundung fruit pulp has never been conducted before. This study aimed to determine the influence of growing location on the antioxidant activity of kepundung fruit pulp from two regions, Lombok and Banyuwangi. Kepundung fruit samples from both locations were extracted with methanol p.a. using the maceration method. The antioxidant activity of each sample was evaluated using the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method, with quercetin as the positive control. The IC₅₀ values of quercetin and the samples from both locations were analyzed using One-Way ANOVA with a significance level of P < 0.05.The results showed that the IC₅₀ values of the methanol extract of kepundung fruit pulp from Lombok (EMBKL) and Banyuwangi (EMBKB) were 387.53 ± 2.67 µg/mL and 425.17 ± 16.98 µg/mL, respectively. A lower IC₅₀ value indicates higher antioxidant activity; thus, the extract from Lombok exhibited greater antioxidant activity. However, statistical analysis revealed that the antioxidant activity values of the two samples were not significantly different. Therefore, the growing locations of both samples likely share similar environmental conditions
Evaluasi Tablet Effervescent Curcuma longa dan Tamarindus indica: Sifat Fisik, Analgesik, dan Toksisitas Akut
Dysmenorrhea was a common complaint among adolescent women and was often treated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), although long-term NSAID use could cause adverse effects. Turmeric (Curcuma longa) and tamarind (Tamarindus indica) had traditionally been used in Indonesia as the “kunyit-asam” herbal preparation due to their anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities. However, traditional herbal drinks such as jamu godhog had several limitations, including inconsistent dosing and low stability, which supported the need for developing modern dosage forms like effervescent tablets. This study aimed to formulate and evaluate the physical quality and pharmacological activity of kunyit-asam effervescent tablets in three variations of turmeric extract concentrations, namely 250 mg, 500 mg, and 750 mg. The physical evaluations included organoleptic testing, weight uniformity, tablet hardness, and dissolution time, while pharmacological evaluations consisted of analgesic activity using the writhing test in male mice and acute toxicity testing to assess safety. The results showed that all three formulations met the required physical quality parameters. Analgesic testing indicated that doses of 2.6 mg/20 g BW and 3.9 mg/20 g BW produced analgesic effects comparable to paracetamol. Acute toxicity testing demonstrated that no mortality occurred in any treatment group. Overall, the developed kunyit-asam effervescent tablets exhibited good physical quality, were safe, and demonstrated potential as a modern herbal alternative for pain relief
Legal Protection of the Rights of Regional Athletes During the Post-Career Period: A Socio-Legal Study in East Kalimantan Province
Problems in this research: Despite being normatively guaranteed by Law Number 11 of 2022 concerning Sports, the implementation of legal protection for athletes' rights during the post-career period at the regional level still faces significant challenges. This study examines the gap between the legal framework and empirical reality in East Kalimantan Province, focusing on the effectiveness of social security and welfare for retired athletes. This study aims to analyze the implementation of legal protection for post-career athletes in East Kalimantan, identify inhibiting factors, and formulate contextual policy recommendations to strengthen the athlete social protection system. The research method uses a socio-legal approach with a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through analysis of legal documents (Law No. 11/2022, Law No. 24/2011, East Kalimantan Regional Regulation No. 5/2016), in-depth interviews with five retired athletes and eight institutional informants (Dispora, KONI, legal practitioners), and field observations. Data were analyzed thematically to integrate normative and empirical findings. The findings reveal systemic failures in implementation. The ambitious legal framework is not accompanied by operational mechanisms at the regional level. Institutional fragmentation between the Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora), the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI), and the Social Security Agency (BPJS) has created a vacuum of responsibility, shifting the legal rights paradigm to incidental charitable assistance. Low legal literacy among athletes and the absence of a unified database further exacerbate this situation. This study concludes that legal protection for post-career athletes in East Kalimantan remains theoretical and ineffective. Comprehensive reforms are needed, including revisions to regional regulations, the establishment of strong institutional coordination mechanisms, and legal empowerment programs for athletes to transform normative rights into accessible realities
Implementasi Sistem Monitoring Perangkat Rectifier dan AC Berbasis Jaringan VPN Menggunakan Mikrotik pada Ruang Server
Server rooms in the telecommunications sector require a reliable monitoring system to maintain service continuity, especially for supporting devices such as rectifiers and air conditioners (AC) which play an important role in power and temperature stability. A problem that often occurs is the limitation of monitoring that has not been integrated and cannot be accessed safely remotely, so it has the potential to cause delays in interference detection. This study aims to implement a monitoring system for rectifier devices and air conditioners based on the Virtual Private Network (VPN) network using MikroTik in the server room. The research methodology includes the stages of problem identification, literature study, system needs analysis, network topology design, VPN implementation and monitoring system, as well as testing and evaluating network performance. The VPN is configured on the MikroTik router to provide a secure communication path between the server room and the network administrator. The test was carried out by comparing the network conditions before and after implementation using connectivity parameters and monitoring access stability. The results of the study show that the proposed monitoring system is able to provide real-time monitoring of the condition of rectifiers and air conditioners with a better level of safety. MikroTik-based VPN implementations are proven to support stable and secure connectivity, thus speeding up the early detection process of interference and improving the operational reliability of server space. This system is expected to be a practical solution in managing server space infrastructure in telecommunication environments
Analisis Komparatif Support Vector Regression dan Decision Tree Regression untuk Peramalan Kasus HIV Jawa Barat
The increasing number of HIV cases in Indonesia, particularly in West Java, which ranks among the regions with the highest infection rates, highlights the need for forecasting models capable of producing accurate estimates to support health policy planning. This situation underscores the importance of analytical approaches that can capture the dynamic progression of cases over time. This study aims to develop a forecasting model for the number of HIV cases in West Java by applying the CRISP-DM framework and utilizing a dataset categorized by age group for the period 2019–2023. Two regression algorithms, Support Vector Regression (SVR) and Decision Tree Regression (DTR), were compared using three evaluation metrics: Coefficient of Determination (R²), Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The findings indicate that DTR delivers superior performance, achieving an R² of 83.62, RMSE of 32.29, and MAPE of 33.30. In contrast, SVR produced an R² of 36.33, RMSE of 84.01, and MAPE of 44.87. Based on these results, Decision Tree Regression is identified as the more effective model for forecasting the number of HIV cases in West Java, providing practical support for health policy decision-making, resource allocation, and prioritization of targeted prevention and intervention programs at the regional level
Correlation Between Screen Time and Levels of Physical Activity and Health Indicators Among Adolescents at SMAN 2 Palangka Raya
Introduction: The high ownership of smartphones among teenagers in Central Kalimantan, supported by increasingly widespread internet penetration, indicates the intense use of digital technology in everyday life. A national survey reveals that the majority of adolescents have a screen time of more than 3 hours per day, reflecting the dominance of screen-based activities. This condition has the potential to encourage a shift from healthy lifestyles towards sedentary lifestyles. Methods : This study is a correlational study with a cross-sectional approach in July-August 2025 involving 151 students from SMAN 2 Palangka Raya using simple random sampling. The inclusion criteria used were students of SMAN 2 Palangka Raya aged 14-17 years who had provided informed consent. Instruments used included the Screen Time Questionnaire, International Physical Activity Questionnaire, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Patient Health Questionnaire Adolescent, BMI measurement sheet, and blood pressure recording. Then, the type of data used was ordinal, which was analyzed using Somers' d, with SPSS version 25. Results: There was a significant relationship between sleep quality p (0.000 <0.05), d (-0.181), mental health p (0.003<0.05), d (0.199), and BMI p (0.032 < 0.05), d (0.161). Meanwhile, no significant relationship was found in other variables (p > 0.05). Conclusion: School-based interventions and school–parent collaboration are needed to promote balanced digital use, healthy sleep habits, and physical activity among students. This study is limited by its cross-sectional design, self-reported data, and small single-school sample, which restrict causal inference and generalizability
