Characteristic concerns about sleep during the menstrual cycle: Findings from descriptions of the luteal and menstrual phases
Full text link【目的】成人女性の月経周期における睡眠で気になることの特徴を明らかにすることである。【方法】調査期間は2015年４月から2020年３月で，調査対象は月経周期が規則的（28～35日周期）な成人女性28名（18歳から32歳）とした。月経と睡眠に関する自己記入式質問紙調査を行った。【結果】対象者の平均年齢22.0±3.0歳であった。黄体期と月経期のMDQ 下位項目で有意差が見られた（p＜0.001～＝0.026）。30％前後の女性が睡眠について気になることが示された。記述の分析より睡眠の特徴は黄体期は３つのサブグラフが示された。１つ目は日中に眠たくなる，２つ目は睡眠が不足していて眠い，３つ目は悩みがあり夜間目が覚めると特徴づけることができた。月経期は５つのサブグラフが示された。１つ目は不快感を意識し上の空である，２つ目はナプキンを替えることが気になり熟睡できない，３つ目は経血が漏れることに不安がある，４つ目に朝の目覚めが悪く眠気が起こる，５つ目は腰痛で目が覚めると特徴づけることができた。【考察】黄体期は日中の眠気と夜間の覚醒（浅い睡眠）が特徴であり，典型的なPMS の症状を呈していた。月経期は，夜間睡眠中の経血の漏れが心配であることが示された。今後，月経周期に伴う睡眠の特徴から女性のQOL向上に向けた生活指導や健康支援対策の構築が必要である。departmental bulletin pape
Characteristics and Issues in the Public Health Nurse Education at A Nursing University: Considering Students’ Self-Evaluation for Seven Years Related to “Practical Competency for Public Health Nurses and Students’ Achievement Levels at Graduation”
Full text linkA 大学の学部選択制による保健師教育の特徴と課題を明らかにし，今後の保健師教育の充実について検討することを目的として，学生が４年次の公衆衛生看護学実習終了後に「保健師に求められる実践能力と卒業時の到達目標と到達度」を自己評価したデータ７年分を分析した。５つの実践能力のうち，実践能力Ⅰ・Ⅱ・Ⅲにおいて目標到達レベルへの到達者割合が80％以上の小項目数は，個人や家族を対象とした場合，2012 カリキュラム群 16.7％，2016 カリキュラム群 18.8％，集団や地域を対象とした場合では両群とも 26.5％であった。目標到達レベルが高く設定されている項目の到達者割合が低く，個人や家族を対象とした小項目「訪問・相談による支援を行う」は到達者割合が 10％未満であった。実践能力Ⅳ・Ⅴでは，社会資源の管理・活用に関する小項目の到達者割合はすべて 50％未満，施策化に関する評価も低く，到達者割合が 10％未満の項目があった。到達状況は全国的な傾向と同様と言えた。個人や家族を対象とした支援ならびに地域診断にもとづく保健活動の展開と施策化に関する能力を身につけるための教育の工夫がカリキュラム改正後も引き続いての課題であり，家庭訪問実習の前後の指導の工夫や，実習と講義・演習の科目を連動させた教育の展開が必要であると考えられる。departmental bulletin pape

Action research : designing, implementing, and measuring virtual exchange to increase students’ intercultural competence
Full text link研究ノートThis paper explains a small-scale Action Research project, following Benson’s five-step 2011 model, which began by considering our “ideal interculturally competent student”, blending ideas from Byram’s model of Intercultural Communicative Competence (ICC), and from research carried out by NAFSA, the Council of Europe, and the OECD. The twin goals of this project were to identify our most impactful Virtual Exchange (VE), and also to offer multiple chances to work with overseas peers to students who are not able to take specific VE courses. Through qualitative and quantitative analysis of data from five modes of VE, we were able to show the effects that even short-term VE has on students. This project also identified the strengths and weaknesses of various modes of VE mainly through qualitative data in the form of guided reflections for students and faculty. The different types of exchanges were evaluated both quantitatively and qualitatively, using BEVI-j and short semi-structured interviews with focus groups.
