Tamura (Satō) Toshiko's Shanghai period : focusing on the activities in The Third Greater East Asia Writers’ Conference and Chinese-Japanese cultural association
論文Tamura (Satō) Toshiko’s Shanghai period (1942.5 ~ 1945.4) was the last three years in her life. In previous studies, when mentioning Toshiko’s Shanghai period, only her periodical Nü-Sheng was discussed. However, Nü-Sheng alone cannot fully interpretate the whole image of Toshiko in Shanghai period. From the newspapers and magazines of both China and Japan during the period, we find that Toshiko also took part in the Third Greater East Asia Writers’ Conference and Chinese-Japanese cultural association, which has not been discussed before. This paper provides the detailed activities of Toshiko in the Third Greater East Asia Writers’ Conference and Chinese-Japanese cultural association. In addition, we combine her articles written in her Shanghai period and compare with her previous thought to analyze her image of Shanghai period. We can see that Toshiko had words and actions in public to support Greater East Asia Coprosperity Sphere. On the other hand, taking part in these public organization and conference extended Toshiko’s network for keeping up her periodical Nü-Sheng. Together, this paper complements Toshiko’s activities in Shanghai period, reflecting the complicated aspects of Toshiko.departmental bulletin pape

Investigating tourism promotion effects and issues of YouTube livestreaming of Iwami Kagura
論文This study sought to investigate whether livestreaming of a local performing art could positively promote inbound tourism. Taking advantage of the features of new media and based on the theory that promotion of local performing arts must include measures to educate consumers, the author experimented with three Iwami kagura livestreaming shows whose programs contained educational contents and components to maximize the audience experiences. Using the data from surveys of 49 respondents, the author found that the YouTube livestreaming shows increased the number of potential tourists and positively influenced the viewers’ willingness to watch Iwami kagura. Discussing the benefits and issues of livestreaming, the author suggested that inbound tourism promotors could consider livestreams as an option of inbound tourism promotion during the COVID−19 pandemic.departmental bulletin pape
