The importance of new media in the information management processThe shape of modern PR, beyond social and organizational networking and hypertextuality, is also influenced by new new media. A specialist in public relations, when conducting discourse with the environment in a professional manner, not only cannot ignore the new new media, but must exist in it and also earn favor and trust of the users. It is these users that make the new media community. Membership to this community allows the individuality of its members to be saved. The ability to expose opinions and personality is an important feature of new new media, which a public relations specialist can skillfully use in the information management process. A contemporary PR specialist open to technological progress takes part in the creation of new new media. In this area, discourse has a dynamic character and the engagement of interlocutors does not allow for passivity. Passivity, however, may cause exclusion from the new media community. Existence and survival in new new media requires constant activity from an entity. The reward for this effort and also for the care for the course of dialogue is the effective management of the selected “crowd” within communication competence

The purpose of this paper is to present an analysis of certain episodes and motifs of Dante’s Purgatory which were partly inspired by the idea of the Otherworld and the category of space in the Book VI of Virgil’s Aeneid. In particular we examine the episode which takes place in the Valley of the Rulers (Pg. VII) and the concept of Dante’s Earthly Paradise to confront them with the idea of Virgilian Elysium. The intertextual dialogue of the Italian poet with the author of the Aeneid is sometimes polemical and based on aemulatio rather than on imitatio

This article presents and confronts two views concerning the link between modernity and romanticism. On the one hand, the view proposed by the Nobel Prize winner, the Mexican Octavio Paz in his book Los hijos del limo. Del romanticismo a la vanguardia, and, on the other hand, the one put forward by the prolific Spanish writer Rafael Argullol in his El Héroe y el Único. El espíritu trágico del romanticismo. While for O. Paz the romantic movement as a child of modernity has inspired partially the modern search for the new in itself, for R. Argullol the romantic spirit is expression above all of a tragic-heroic mood of dissatisfaction with modernity. Both writers see the paradoxical nature of romanticism –sometimes longing for the past, sometimes dreaming about the future– as a complex expression of modernity’s self-awareness and self-criticism

The article presents Wolfgang Welsch’s original idea of transculturality, the shifting attitude towards Weltliteratur and Anders Pettersson’s proposal of a transcultural view on literary history. All of these ideas can be sum up as attempts to find a new, global approach to literature, one that would be free of previous eurocentric thinking and open towards other cultures and literary traditions

Forgotten revolution? No and yes.Agata Araszkiewicz’s book is a very interesting collection of possible ways of reading same novels from interwar period, novels written by women. By using tools mainly taken from feminist criticism such as écriture féminine or gynocriticism she builds interpretation of prose written by Aniela Gruszecka, Irena Krzywicka, Pola Gojawiczyńska, Wanda Melcer and Maria Kuncewiczowa. Araszkiewicz emphasizes it uniqueness, and by that she brings them back to history of polish literature. What is important to see, is that she focuses not only on poetics, but also on problems, themes, and, what is the most significant, on it’s aesthetic, what helps her to reveal revolutionary potential. Seen by Araszkiewicz, women’s novels from interwar period appeared not only as continuations of Young Poland poetic, but an innovative, multidimensional, autonomous space of literature with women’s signature
