Design for Manufacture And Assembly Analysis of Baby Stroller
This paper presents the study design analysis for manufacture and assembly (DFMA) of a baby stroller (Sweet Cherry SCR8 Series) in the aspect of part for manufacturing, assembly process and also handling and insertion difficulties. The problem identified in this study is on the features of the stroller that show a lot of fastener being used and also the usage of both hands in moving the fold latch to fold the stroller. The study has proven to save assembly time by 452.29s which is 23% more efficient than the original design. The number of parts reduced from 179 parts to be 149 parts. The DFA index is also improved from 9.6 to 12.6. The advantages of using DFMA method has been proved in the redesign of the baby stroller. Lastly, the analyzed results are discussed at the end of this research
PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION ON THE PHYSICAL PROPERTIES AND MORPHOLOGICAL OF SINTERED COCKLE SHELL/RECYCLED SODA LIME SILICATE COMPOSITE
The effect of treatment condition cockle shell (CS) on physical properties, phases and morphology behaviour of CS filler/recycled soda lime silicate glass (rSLSG) composite were investigated. The CS filler was prepared at drying condition and calcined at temperature of 800 °C and 1000 °C before subjected to the direct sintering process. The crystalline phases present in the treated samples of CS fller and composite were identified by X-ray diffraction (RIGAKU MINIFLEX II) and was observed that CaO fully precipitated when the calcination temperature was increased to 1000 °C and quartz phases predominate at high volume glass content. The tested samples were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and confirmed hydrogen bond affected densification of CS/rSLSG composite. This composite was tested using physical testing and results revealed that the average of porosity, water absorption, and bulk density was a function of calcination temperatures. Scanning electron microscope shows observation on CS filler revealed that the treatment condition led the phase separation of the cluster interconnected before the skeleton crystals shape formed at 1000 °C. The findings concluded that the suitable composition for CS filler loading was 30 wt.% and can be controlled for building material applications
Precision Joining of Steel-Aluminum Hybrid Structure by Clinching Process
Clinching joining has become an alternative technique to conventional spot welding. This innovative joining technology can reduce the production costs and cycle times, and also offers a great prospective for a new product design and manufacturing. Without a better understanding on physical phenomena associated with the clinching process, the correcting unacceptable clinched joint is extremely costly and impossible for some cases. In this study, the overlap joining of low carbon steel and aluminum alloy in clinching process was experimentally and numerically investigated. The tensile-shear strength of overlap-clinched joints was evaluated by tensile-shear test. This test also was used to study the deformation and failure of clinched joints under tensile-shear loading. The results showed that the higher press load has a great influence for achieving better interlocking between steel-aluminum hybrid structures. Insufficient interlocking and thin neck thickness lead to the failure of clinched joints. It also was confirmed that the most critical region of the clinching tool located at the radius corner of punch and die. Development of simplified engineering approaches based on numerical simulation and correlations with experimental data could be very beneficial to industrial applications
Tensile Properties of Ternary Blends for HDPE/PP/Recycle HDPE in Blow Moulding Process
Increasing the environmental concern among peoples have increased the recycling activities, especially for high-density polyethylene (HDPE) bottles. Therefore, recycled HDPE needs to be mixed with other plastic materials to improve their mechanical properties. In this study, recycled HDPE was mixed with virgin HDPE and polypropylene (PP). The ratio of virgin HDPE and PP were set at 10/90, 30/70 and 50/50, meanwhile recycled HDPE was set at 20%, 35% and 50%. The blended materials were extruded into the parison and was blown using extruded blow-moulding machine to produce a 5-litre bottle. The tensile strength and elongation at break of the blended materials were measured using universal testing machine (UTM). Miscibility of the blended materials was also evaluated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The result shows that decreasing the recycled HDPE in the blended materials increases the tensile strength. Meanwhile, increasing the recycled HDPE content in the blended materials increases the elongation at break of the blended materials. DSC curve shows that blended materials are immiscible
IMPACT OF SINGLE AND DOUBLE ZINCATING TREATMENT ON ADHESION OF ELECTRODEPOSITED NICKEL COATING ON ALUMINIUM ALLOY 7075
The purpose of this investigation is to explore the relationship between various zincating treatments and coating adhesion. A modification on the conventional single zincating process has been made by extending the duration, with an objective to enhance the non-homogeneous deposition of zinc particles on the aluminium alloy 7075 (AA7075) substrate. To compare the impact of various zincating treatments on the coating adhesion, a double zincating process at various durations were also applied in this study. A scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and energy dispersive analysis of x-rays (EDX) were used to characterize the microstructural changes and composition of AA7075 during various zincating treatments at various durations. A scratch tester was used to investigate the coating adhesion of nickel deposits. A strong relationship between zincating duration and surface morphology of the zincated substrate has been observed in SEM results. The adhesion between the coating and substrate was improved at a longer single zincating duration, compared to conventional single and double zincating process. This finding suggests that the homogenous distribution and good coverage of zinc particles on the substrate have contributed to the improvement of the coating adhesion
Investigation of a New Earthquake and Flood Alert System
Earthquake is a type of natural disaster which is difficult to predict while flooding is one of the common natural disasters in South East Asia. The effect of these disasters varies from death to property damage. People who engage in their daily activities sometimes panic and are clueless on the current situation around them when disasters happen. At this critical time, information on the disaster needs to be conveyed correctly and effectively in the area of the disaster as well as the neighbouring vicinity. To address this concern, authors devised an intelligent disaster alert system for earthquake and floods. The system detects the level of water and earthquake by using ultrasonic sensor and accelerometer and when a disaster occurs, sends alert and images of the disaster to a defined Telegram account which is accessible to anyone who installs the application in their mobile phone or Personal Computer. This is controlled by an embedded controller, Raspberry Pi which decides on the alert message to be sent based on the level of danger. Evaluations were done on the success rate of message delivery within a defined distance range. In the tests conducted in close vicinity (less than 1km distance between sender and receiver) and more than 5km distance, results showed that message reception from the sender was received an average of less than 2 seconds for text alert and less than 13 seconds for the image
Machine Learning for HTTP Botnet Detection Using Classifier Algorithms
Recently, HTTP based Botnet threat has become a serious problem for computer security experts as bots can infect victim’s computer quick and stealthily. By using HTTP protocol, Bots are able to hide their communication flow within normal HTTP communications. In addition, since HTTP protocol is widely used by internet application, it is not easy to block this service as a precautionary approach. Thus, it is needed for expert finding ways to detect the HTTP Botnet in network traffic effectively. In this paper, we propose to implement machine learning classifiers, to detect HTTP Botnets. Network traffic dataset used in this research is extracted based on TCP packet feature. We also able to find the best machine learning classifier in our experiment. The proposed method is able to classify HTTP Botnet in network traffic using the best classifier in the experiment with an average accuracy of 92.93%
4G LTE Evolved Packet Core Planning with Call Switch Fallback Technology
Long Term Evolution (LTE) is a 4 Generation (4G) technology that supports high-speed data services. Currently, 4G LTE have yet covers all regions in Indonesia. Since 4G LTE is the latest technology in Indonesia, therefore it needs LTE Network Planning, which is consists of E-UTRAN (EvolvedUniversal Terrestrial Radio Access Networks) and Evolved Packet Core (EPC). EPC is the major part in 4G LTE. In order to support LTE Network Planning in Indonesia, this paper develops 4G LTE which is focused on EPC Planning in City X. The implementation of 4G LTE network uses Call Switch Fallback (CSFB) technology. Based on the planning, it needs minimum 6 pieces of MSC (Mobile Switching Center) Server (MSS) that are 1 pieces HSS, 2 pieces MME and minimum 2 pieces SGW-PGW. In this planning, the interfaces can be divided by two parts, control plane interface and user plane interface. The control plane interface such as S6A, S11, S10, S1- MME requires minimum bandwidth of 0.355 Gbps. For user interface plane S5 / S8, S1-U and SGI requires a minimum bandwidth of 17.75 Gbps up to 127.80 Gbps
Business Process Evaluation of Outpatient Services Using Process Mining
A business needs an evaluation to increase its services and adaptability to the environment changes. Business process evaluation is one of the several ways for business development. This paper reports an assessment of outpatient service process at RSUD Sukoharjo for BPJS Health insurance’s patient using process mining to get an objective process model. We implement the Inductive Miner infrequent approach and analyze the process model with conformance checking and performance analysis. Stakeholders can utilize the results of the evaluation to understand the real service condition and plan an action to improve their services. We can conclude that there is a bottleneck in the waiting time of the registration process with an average of 1.5-2 hours, a polyclinic treatment process with an average of 1-2 hours and pharmacy process with an average of 0.5-1 hours

This paper discusses the development of a Geographic Information Retrieval for Surakarta City in Indonesia. Surakarta City was chosen as the location of the place in the system because Surakarta got an award for the best tourist spot in Indonesia. In this case, Geographic Information Retrieval is a system that can handle geographic data by analyzing existing text data and generate output that can be used as decision-making on problems related to geographical. The method used in processing the information is Query Aware Document Ranking.
