Lead Compensator Design for Single-Phase Quasi Z-Source Inverter
This paper presents a new control method for single-phase quasi-Z-source inverter (qZSI). At present, trial and error, as well as tuning of traditional proportional integral (PI) controller techniques, are utilized at the aforementioned topology to achieve system stability. Nevertheless, drawbacks of PI controlled based converter/inverter topologies are realized which include slow response speed and poor robust performance compared with the systems uncertainties and exogenous disturbances. In this work, lead compensator in control of the unipolar sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) qZSI is demonstrated to show its superiority against traditional PI control based on the derived qZSI’s small signal model. The methods to obtain the controllers’ parameters of the lead compensator is also documented in this paper. The effectiveness and the theoretical analysis of the proposed approach are verified through simulation studies for different loading conditions. The simulation demonstrates the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed control method in providing fast dynamic and transient response through frequency response analysis
Evaluating Conditional and Unconditional Correlations Capturing Strategies in Multi Label Classification
In the last few years, multi label classification has attracted many scholars and researchers; due to the increasing number of modern domains that are applicable to this general type of classification. Recently, it has been believed by many researchers that the best way to handle the problem of multi label classification is by exploiting the correlations among labels. Two main strategies have been utilized to capture these correlations: conditional correlations and unconditional correlations capturing strategies. In this paper, an extensive evaluation of both strategies has been conducted, to determine the best strategy to handle multi label classification, with respect to the size of the data set and the optimized loss function. Results showed that the unconditional correlations capturing strategy overcomes the conditional correlations capturing strategy in all multi label data sets that have been used in this experiment
Torque Studies of 6 Slot-7 Pole Motor for Hybrid Motor
Hybrid excitation machines (HEMs) that consist of permanent magnet (PM) and field excitation coil (FEC) as their main flux sources has several attractive features compared to interior permanent magnet synchronous machines (IPMSM) conventionally employed in hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). Hybrid excitation flux switching machines (HEFSM) is one type of HEMs. This is to decrease the PM size in a HEFSM so that the cost of the machine can be reduced. By reducing the size of PM, the torque and the power of the machine will be slightly different from the original PM size. The torque is almost the same as the original sized PM but the size is successfully reduced
Implementation of EEDC for Trailer Segment in Enhanced FPGA-based FlexRay Controller

Fault Analysis of the KTANTAN Family Block Ciphers: A Revisited Work of Fault Analysis of the KATAN Family Block Ciphers
This paper investigates the security of the KTANTAN block cipher against differential fault analysis. This attack is considered to be first side channel analysis of KTANTAN in the literature. KTANTAN is a relative to the KATAN block cipher. Therefore, the previous fault analysis on KATAN family of block cipher is revisited. Similar to KATAN, KTANTAN has three variants namely KTANTAN32, KTANTAN48 and KTANTAN64. The inner structure of KTANTAN is similar to KATAN except the key schedule algorithms. KATAN has been practically broken by using fault analysis, employing a transient single-bit fault model, with the assumption is that the attacker is able to inject faults randomly into the internal state of the cipher. The attack is empowerd by extended cube method similarly as applied on KATAN. The complexity of this attack is 274 for KTANTAN32 and 276 for both KTANTAN48 and KTANTAN64. Furthermore, based on the obtained results, this paper concludes that KTANTAN is more robust against fault analysis compared to KATAN
SAW-TOPSIS Implementation To Determine An Appropriate DBMS Software
Selection an appropriate Database Management Software, is a crucial part to ensure operational excellence businesses firm. Database management software used to organize and manage the company’s data so that they can be efficiently accessed and used to improve operational and decision quality. However, a senior manager as decision maker sometimes lacks the comprehensive knowledge to choose a suitable database management software which meets with business needs. Then, The manager determines a database management software based on a consultant or vendor offer. On the other hand, a consultant or vendor has an interest in to sell their product, so they tend to lead manager to choose their product even though it is not fulfilling business needs. We present a decision support application to help the manager to select an appropriate database management software (DBM) for their company, using Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method. We observe SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, DB2, and PostgreSQL as five top database management software and investigate the detail about cost, storage capacity, security, supported the operating system and supported programming language as key criteria to select best database management software from their official website. Then, we combining SAW and TOPSIS method to choose the best appropriate DBM software based on user requirement through computation program and validate our application performance includes the user interface, usability and accuracy result to 50 database engineers expert as respondent. The results are as follows; 1) 86 % of respondents are satisfied with application user interface, 2) 94% are happy with application usability and 3) 86% are pleased with the accuracy of the computation. Overall, this study provides a decision support application to determine an appropriate database management software based on business needs by combining SAW and TOPSIS methods
Modelling of a Cable-driven Ankle Rehabilitation Robot
Ankle injury is one of physical injury that commonly occurs in sports or domestic-related activities. Presently, there are various established treatments for ankle rehabilitation in hospital or rehabilitation clinic. This involves a range of motion treatment exercise and endurance treatment exercise. However, current treatment requires patients to frequently visit to the hospital which is tedious and also repetitive. One of the solutions to deal with the repetitiveness of the treatment is to introduce an automated device such as a robot that can help the therapist to perform this repetitive task on the patients. A concept design for a cable driven ankle rehabilitation robot has been proposed for this task. The reason for selecting cable-based design is the design is lighter than a rigidly based robot. This adds up its potential for mobility and portability which allows convenience to the users. The focus of this paper is to present inverse kinematics analysis and modelling of the proposed concept design of the robot which aimed to determine the feasibility of the concept design. Overall, the modelling of the cable-based ankle rehabilitation robot using inverse kinematics is feasible to project or to predict the trajectory paths of the moving platform of the robot. This will be useful for planning suitable dimension for fabrication of the robot
