AWARENESS OF MUSLIM CONSUMERS TOWARDS FOOD SAFETY OF HOME-BASED PRODUCERS DURING PANDEMIC COVID-19 AT BANDAR BARU BANGI, SELANGOR, MALAYSIA
ABSTRACTThe COVID-19 Pandemic that happened in our country and worldwide caused an increase in the number of home-based food producers and operators for the local consumers where the food is been marketed directly or online. This phenomenon fairly gives impacts the important aspect of food safety that is crucial for customers’ health and able to avoid any foodborne deceased which can bring fatal to man health. The food preparation practice that does not keep the hygiene and quality during the food production process will cause the food to be contaminated and thus not safe for consumption. Besides, the food producer does not understand the requirements specified in the regulated law such as Food Act 1983 that need to have complied. Thus, this study aimed to examine the awareness level among Muslim consumers towards the practices of food safety, hygiene, and quality from the preparation and production, and sale of the food that has been conducted among home-based producers and operators. This study adopted a quantitative method where the data is collected from a survey online using Google Forms. The respondents are randomly selected from customers aged above 18 who stay in the area of Bandar Baru Bangi. The data is analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis by using Statistical Package for The Social Science (SPPS) tool version 21. This study shows that the awareness and knowledge of consumers towards the safety, quality, and hygiene of food is likely high. Thus, this study would like to recommend that the safe food practice should be taken seriously by the government and the food operator on the other hand should have indefinite integrity in the business conducted by putting the customer’s health as a priority in dealing with the food provided. IDEAL CYCLE THERMODYNAMIC ANALYSIS FOR GAMMA-TYPE STIRLING ENGINE
The first-generation gamma-type Stirling engine prototype, intended for micro combined heat and power applications, was manufactured and tested in 2018. Still, the findings were not promising due to its low performance. The goal of this research is to improve the performance of the gamma-type Stirling engine by using the ideal cycle thermodynamic analysis approach to plan more comprehensively. The research approach employed in this study is an experiment that begins with the design, fabrication, testing, and evaluation of the Stirling engine's components. With air as the working fluid, the second-generation gamma-type Stirling engine was created and tested. The maximal volume of this engine is 0.000201 m3. The heat source employed in the test had an average temperature of 674oC. The results showed that, while not dramatically, the performance engine improved. The value of thermal efficiency, engine speed, and power output all increased. The average thermal efficiency is 24.6%. Meanwhile, the engine speed and power generated averaged 415 rpm and 37.9 W. This increase in performance is a compelling reason to continue to develop the gamma-type Stirling engine in the future
ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK PREDICTION OF PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF BIOFUEL PRODUCED FROM SWEET POTATOE (IPOMOEA BATATA)
Fossil fuel depletion and the harm it causes to the environment has led to the development of alternative fuels. In this research, biofuel (ethanol) was produced and characterized from sweat potatoes. Blends of premium motor spirit with 0% (E0), 2% (E2), 4% (E4), and 10% (E10) of the produced biofuel at various percentages were separately used to power a four-stroke, single-cylinder SI engine on an engine test bed, and data of the engine performance - brake power, brake torque, brake mean effective pressure (BMEP), and the exhaust gas temperature reported in each test. The results of the physicochemical analysis revealed that the physical state of the biofuel is colorless, the viscosity at 300C, density, calorific value, and pH level are 0.9834 mPa.s, 0.85 g/cm3,19 kJ/kg, and 1.82, respectively. It was observed that an increase in ethanol in the blend increases the performance of the engine, although the BMEP at E0 gave the highest value of 0.3 bar compared to other blends. An artificial neural network (ANN) model for predicting engine performance characteristics was developed, trained, validated, and tested using the reported data. The result of the ANN model revealed that the Levenberg-Marquardt training algorithm (LMTA) with 10 hidden layer neurons offers the best fit for the features for both training, validation, testing, and overall. With the R for training equal 1, validation equal to 0.99468, testing equal to 0.90103, and overall R equal to 0.93842 as compared to the rest in terms of the number of neurons and training algorithms.
Inverse Kinematics Solution for a 6-Degree-of-Freedom Robotic Manipulator Based on FABRIK
This paper aims to present a novel algorithm to solve the inverse kinematics (IK) problem of a 6 Degree-of-Freedom (DOF) industrial robotic manipulator based on FABRIK (Forward And Backward Reaching Inverse Kinematics). The algorithm calculates and locates the joint position for every joint of the robotic manipulator in Cartesian space to bring the end-effector to the desired target position. Based on the obtained joint positions, the rotational angle for each joint is then calculated to complete the IK solutions. The algorithm is tested for its feasibility and accuracy in MATLAB Robotic Toolbox. The results show that with an average of 13 iterations of computing, the joint positions are obtained with an average error of 0.001256 mm in Cartesian space. The algorithm presented in this paper yields high accuracy with fewer iterations of computing thus offering a new way to solve the IK problem of industrial robotic manipulators

In the present study materials like pebbles, gravels and charcoal were used to store energy in the solar still. It was seen that there was an improvement in the performance of the solar still when materials are used compared to no usage of materials. Further among pebbles, gravels and charcoal it was seen that charcoal had higher yield of 2250ml/m2/day whereas for pebble and gravel yield were 1210 ml/m2/day, 1620 ml/m2/day
Chili Crop Segregation System Design and Development Strategies
An automation process is a need in the agricultural industry specifically chili crop, that implemented image processing technique and classification of chili crop usually based on their color, shape, and texture. The goal of this study was to review the development of a portable sorting machine that will be able to segregate chili based on their color. The Digital Image Processing (DIP), which is a crucial part to perform the Feature Extraction process was discussed with the elaboration of steps to execute the DIP process. Besides, the analysis of different methods to extract the chili color based on the RGB color component was included. This paper focused more Machine Learning (ML) technique, which is a main component of Artificial Intelligence. The image data taken from chili samples can be trained by using Learning Algorithm in the MATLAB program. The performance of the trained network then can be evaluated by using the Confusion Matrix technique. The methods that have been reviewed in this paper were general enough to be used in the agricultural industry that requires a high volume of chili crops and with other differentiating features to be processed at the same time. Improvements can be made to the sorting system but will come at a higher price
Closed-Loop Systems of Line Follower Robot Using Camera Vision
Computer vision of robotic applications has given a lot of benefits to robotic advancement. This study aims to design a robot that can follow a dark line path using a camera vision. A vision-based is a new technology that uses an image processing technique instead of using a sensor. An effective closed-loop control system is used to overcome the robot's problems, moving out from the track by using a line searching mechanism. This project used NI-myRIO as an embedded platform for image processing and robot motion. The NI-myRIO is connected to LabVIEW on PC wirelessly for broader processing capability while providing maximum mobility to the robot to move freely on the designated track. Aiming for the guided line to always be at the center of the region viewing window, each tire's speed on the left and right part of the mobile robot is controlled accordingly. The result shows that using a line searching algorithm with a camera vision line follower robot improves an overall mobile robot performance to follow the line without failure with faster speed

The Conceptualisation of Strategic Talent Management for Oil and Gas Companies in the UAE
Issues concerning the workforce have been a concern in the Oil & Gas sector, in which the UAE is one of the leading global players. Most local companies heavily depend on foreign experts' knowledge and skills for their competitive advantage. In this case, job roles localisation (Emiratization) has become imperative, and efforts need to be made to lure the local workforce to be part of the local companies. Therefore, there is a need to propose a Strategic Talent Management (STM) so that the local employees can contribute productively to the country's economic growth. This study aims to address the issues of the shortage of the skilled domestic workforce by proposing an STM practice to enhance job performance among local employees in Oil & Gas companies of the UAE. In the initial investigation stage, this paper presents the conceptualisation of strategic talent management and its relationship to job performance. Drawn from the analysis of the existing literature, dimensions of strategic talent management that have a relationship with job performance have been identified, namely, career development, talent attraction and selection, talent acquisition, talent recruitment and mentoring and coaching. The conceptualisation of strategic talent management will be used as the construct for further investigation of the role of strategic talent management that can enhance the job performance of the local employees in the oil and gas companies in the UAE
