Smart Data Recognition System For Seven Segment LED Display

    Get PDF
The automatic data capturing system provides an alternative and effective way of data collection instead of manual data collection in the laboratory, especially for experiments that need to be carried out for a long period. It can solve common mistakes made by humans, like misreading or mistyping data. Thus, a new smart data recognition system for a seven-segment LED display is developed to sort the whole process of data collection to become more systematic and accurate. An image is captured and saved automatically in an image file, and then it is processed through MATLAB software to identify the digits displayed on the LED display. Once the image is preprocessed, analyzed, and recognized, the final output values obtained are transferred to an existing Excel file for a further process according to the user’s requirement. From the results obtained, it was proven that binary thresholding is the best preprocessing method, and the brightness of the image should be set to ‘0’ for better recognition output

Abstract— This article meant to find out the possibility of certain sites to be the next tourist attractions after the end of this pandemic Covid-19. Since this article is likely a predicament stance then the methodology of this research is basically the qualitative basis. The main idea will cover three aspects; the curiosity attitude among tourist toward this Covid-19 issue, the example of successful dark tourism and the opportunities taken by the government to regain their economy. The best hypothesis of next tourist attractions would be the wet market of Wuhan, in Hubei province where the pandemic started or the fastest ever built hospital in history. Some tourist loves the brand of dark tourism or historical disaster such as the nuclear leakage Chernobyl city or Transylvania of Romania where vampire originated. Lastly, the recession of economy after pandemic is the next calamity and the government will take these opportunities to offer the pandemic memorial product based when promoting tourism.    Keywords: Expected Tourist attractions and Covid-1

The Efficiency of Dyes Sensitized Solar Cells Using Different Sensitized Dyes

    Get PDF
Manufacturing techniques of solar cell have been developed rapidly since their first appearance. Dyes sensitized solar cell (DSSC) is a modern technique of solar cell .It optimized by their low manufacturing cost and the high power conversion. In this paper three of DSSC were fabricated using three different sensitized dyes Cumarin 500 , Alcian Blue 8GX and Bangal Ross B Sodium Salt. The absorbance of each DSSC was determined by Ultraviolet- visible spectrometer. The short circuit voltage and current were measured for each sample to determine which of the dyes has the best efficiency of power conversion. The results also obtained the fill factor for each of DSSCS. The results showed the fill factor and the bandgap of each sample. The voltage and current results reflect that  Bangal Ross has the highest efficient of the other dyes

Machine Learning Shrewd Approach For An Imbalanced Dataset Conversion Samples

    Get PDF
The imbalance data applies to at least one of the classes, which are typically exceeded by the other ones. The Machine Learning Algorithm (Classifier) trained with an imbalance dataset predicts the majority class (frequently occurring) ‎more than the other minority classes (rarely occurring). Training with an imbalance dataset poses challenges for classifiers; ‎however, applying suitable techniques for reducing class imbalance issues can enhance the classifier’s performance. We take an ‎imbalanced dataset from an educational context. Initially, all shortcomings regarding classification of imbalanced dataset have ‎been examined. After that, we apply data-level algorithms for class balancing and compare the performance of classifiers. The ‎performance of the classifier is measured using the underlying information in their confusion matrices such as accuracy, ‎precision, recall, and f-measure. It shows that classification with an imbalance dataset may produce higher accuracy but low ‎precision and recall for the minority class. The analysis confirms that both undersampling and oversampling are effective for ‎balancing datasets, however, oversampling dominates.

Design of a Broadband Microstrip Array Antenna for 5G Application

    Get PDF
This paper presented a study that analyses the enhancement of high gain microstrip array antenna for 5G applications operating at 28 GHz designed to meet the ETSI standardization. It is expected that the gain must be high at high operating frequency so that it can compensate the propagation path loss. The objective of this study was to design a 16-element microstrip array antenna located at the top of antenna as a rectangular patch. Aiming to achieve low loss and high antenna efficiency, the material used for the proposed design was Roger 5880 materials with the permittivity of 2.2 and thickness of 0.25. Initially, a rectangular microstrip array antenna with 4 elements was designed. After analyzing the outcomes of antenna features such as reflected loss, efficiency and antenna gain, the 4 elements array were transformed into 8 elements array. To achieve high gain, it was then transformed into 16 elements array. Based on EM analysis using CST software, it was found that the proposed antenna has high efficiencies and high gain of 18.5 at 28 GHz operating frequency

    FPGA-Assisted Assertion-Based Verification Platform

    Get PDF
In this paper, field programmable gate array (FPGA)-assisted verification platform is devised to enhance the assertion-based verification methodology to address the issues of high demand of integrated circuit with the advanced features to be delivered to market within tight Time-To-Market. The concept of SystemVerilog Assertion (SVA) checker generator is introduced to translate non-synthesizable verification coding into hardware so-called assertion checker in Verilog. A lookup table, which comprises of SVA operators mapped to their corresponding synthesizable Verilog coding was developed to generate assertion checker, which produces a single bit 1 when the assertion fails. Collection module implemented using a memory block and an arbiter was devised to be simple and fast enough to collect assertion results from the assertion checker. Since assertion checker can produce assertion result at any time, an arbiter is required to act as an interface between assertion checker and collection module. Case studies have been conducted on the proof-of-concept designs, which are the firstin-first-out (FIFO), up-down counter and Context Adaptive Variable Length Coding (CAVLC) to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed FPGA-assisted verification platform. In the case studies, we have shown that the proposed FPGA-assisted verification platform works correctly. Besides, we also evaluated the method in area utilizations (ALMs). It has been proven that simulation-based verification time can be reduced for as much as 50% for complexity of VLSI design. Thus, implementing assertions using hardware such as FPGA becomes a solution to alleviate issue of long simulation time

Steering Angle Control of Rack Steering Vehicle using Antiwindup-PI-Control

    Get PDF
The precision of the steering in a vehicle is one of the issues that need to be tackled for safety and energy efficiencies, especially in the motion at the cornering or turning. The issue is crucial especially for vehicles with a non-holonomic system such as rack steering vehicles, as it is more prone towards high collisions to the peer walls or off-road incidents due to the inertia factor. Therefore, this has taken the initiative to propose a steering precision control strategy using the proportional and integral (PI) control that considers the Rack Steering Vehicle (RSV) dynamics and its friction as well as aerodynamics disturbances. The control objective is emphasized on steering input precision in which steering feedback response is derived from the vehicle dynamics with disturbances. The RSV model and the antiwindup-PI control are model and simulated in order to verify the proposed control strategy for the RSV system. The results show that with small fine tunes on the antiwindup-PI controller, the steering input is controlled precisely with a very minor steady-state error if compare to the single PI controller. Regarding vehicle axial velocities, both horizontal (X-axis) and vertical (Y-axis) velocities are controllable without radical fluctuated as well as oscillation speed if compare to the RSV with PI controller

The overload vehicles are the basic challenge of the road users because they caused many harms for roads in addition to increasing  the accidents ratio on the roads. There are many peoples are dead every day due to collapsing of roads. Automatic monitoring system became necessary and highly demand to overcome this problem. This paper presented a  design of wireless monitoring system based on Raspberry Pi model and used camera for monitoring any case of  breaking the law. The design in this paper is a low cost design because it has simple structure. The system established a database to archive all the cases of infirming the allowed legal weight limit of the road. The camera will captures an image when the vehicle's weight is out of allowed limit, the data is sent directly to the database which includes the date ,time, weight and the path of the captured image. A web page is used to provide an easy monitoring of the system. The system is experimentally tested several times and the obtained results show that the system has good performance and accurate results..
