Development of a Practical Motorcycle Towing Device
Motorcycle to motorcycle towing device is not readily available in the Malaysian market. Most of the motorcycle towing service uses a pick-up truck to pick up the motorcycle. Such towing or on-site service fee can be too expensive anyway. In addition, some of the towing processes are done only using a foot to propel the towed motorcycle. The aim of this project to produce a product that can be commercialized and solve the problem. In this project, a prototype is produced after the fabrication process. The prototype seemed to function. The length of the sling successfully retracted for storing, thus the sling retractor is working as intended
A comprehensive review: Evaluation of AC Induced Voltage on Buried Pipeline Near Overhead Transmission Lines and Mitigation Techniques Comparison
Steel pipelines used to transport gas and other petroleum products are protected by insulating coatings as well as cathodic protection systems. These pipelines sometimes are passed near the power lines, causing induced AC voltage on them. Increasing the AC voltage amplitude on the buried pipelines will increase the risk of electric shock, electric sparking between the equipment connected to the pipeline and the ground or adjacent metal structures, increasing the rate of insulation damage to the pipelines, disrupting the functioning of the cathodic protection system as well as increasing the AC corrosion of pipelines. Therefore, it is necessary to study and evaluate the factors affecting the inductive AC voltage level and provide effective solutions to reduce its destructive effects. In this paper, the inductive voltage of overhead lines on buried metal pipeline has been investigated under normal conditions of power system. The amount of induced voltage on the pipelines depends on some factors such as the current of the transmission line, the number of transmission line circuits, the arrangement of the phases, and the distance between the transmission line and the underground pipeline

The evaluation results there is a radius of 150 m that has been previously designed to protect buildings that are scattered with high termination air of 30 m from the ground and the measurement results of earth resistance after adding 3 copper conductors with a diameter of ¾ inch with a length of 2 m, obtained measurement results of 1.55 ohm.
Designing a Fuzzy Logic Controller with a NonParametric Similarity-Based Clustering Algorithm
Clustering algorithms are used to produce powerful extension to design a three-term (proportional plus integral plus derivative—PID) fuzzy logic controller(FLC). They can be used to eliminate the presumption of the existence of expert information and extract rules that can satisfactorily represent the systems. In this paper, a non-parametric clustering algorithm based on data similarity, which is free of user-defined parameters is proposed. This algorithm is simple and fast. For comparison purposes, two methods of extracting the rules for a three-term FLC from the generated clusters were presented. These two methods entail on the use of the linguistictype model and the Takagi-Sugeno-Kang (TSK)-type model. Two applications representing second-order systems and thirdorder systems were used to analyze the performance of the proposed design methods and compared with other design methods. The analysis shows that the proposed design methods are efficient and superior to other design methods with respect to transient response, accuracy, and robustness to variation of defuzzification methods

Persons with physical injuries and disability are struggling to get through places using the conventional handwheelchair The needs of many people with disabilities can be overcome with powered wheelchair, but some portion of this community is finding it difficult to operate standard powered wheelchair due to its big in size and epensive.. This project developed a smatphone phone-controlled wheelchair along with three types of virtual controller which is Joystick control, D-pad control and Voice control through the wireless communication.. It is also equipped with obstacle (ultrasonic) avoidance notification and microcontroller controls the motor that moved the direction either FRONT, BACKWARD, LEFT and RIGHT. The main objective of this project is to facilitate and increase the movement of people who are handicapped and the ones who are not able to move freely with the implementation of IoT platform where this platform could provide data visualization and able to analyze the wheelchair maintenance management and movement. In additional, this project analyzes distinct IoT monitoring system features, including battery level remaining and temperature control. the concept succesfully developed with integration of microcontroller in which provide desired performance control of the system to desired output with the synchronization of Internet of Thing feature
Microcredit, Technology Adoption and Economic Development of Rural Household
The main objective of this study is to investigate either Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) microcredit has led to the technology adoption and increase of rural household economy, particularly in household monthly income among its participants. This study was conducted in Melaka based on a sample of 200 participants. The findings of the study show that the AIM microcredit had a significant impact on technology adoption and increased the participant household monthly income in Melaka. The findings suggest that AIM microcredit is still relevant and plays an important role in increasing rural household monthly income, inculcate entrepreneurship among women and reduced poverty. Therefore, the Malaysian government should enact the relevant policies and give supports to enhance the effectiveness and outreach of microcredit
An Invariable to Rotation Data Hiding Scheme for Semi-Fragile Blind Watermark
An invariant to rotation watermarking approach is proposed for the purpose of improving the security of digital images. The proposed digital watermark approach is invariable to rotation and guarantees the integrity of the inserted mark. The size of the resulting image is identical to the original image and the process guarantees acceptable transparency. This approach evolves both in the frequency and the spatial domain. Specifically, the proposed scheme processes the JPEG images by adapting its structure to the frequency domain by modifying the DCT coefficients of the image. This scheme is also adaptable to BMP images by adjusting these parameters for an LSB modification of the colorimetric values of the image. Moreover, during the extraction, the structure of our scheme organizes itself according to the orientation of the processed image. Based on the experiment conducting with eight substitution processes, we concluded that the substitution of four bits gives a great capacity of insertion, while guaranteeing an acceptable transparency for the insertion of text. However, a substitution of one bit only is recommended for the insertion of an image. This reduces the capacity, but guarantees transparency of the watermarking process
Energy-Aware Clustering in the Internet of Things by Using the Genetic Algorithm
Internet of things (IoT) uses a lot of key technologies to collect different types of data around the world to make an intelligent and integrated whole. This concept can be as simple as a connection between a smartphone and a smart TV, or can be complex communications between the urban infrastructure and traffic monitoring systems. One of the most challenging issues in the IoT environment is how to make it scalable and energy-efficient with regard to its growing dimensions. Object clustering is a mechanism that increases scalability and provides energy efficiency by minimizing communication energy consumption. Since IoT is a large scale dynamic environment, clustering of its objects is a NP-Complete problem. This paper formulates energy-aware clustering of things as an optimization problem targeting an optimum point in which, the total consumed energy and communication cost are minimal. Then. it employs the Genetic Algorithm (GA) to solve this optimization problem by extracting the optimal number of clusters as well as the members of each cluster. In this paper, a multi objective GA for clustering that has not premature convergence problem is used. In addition, for fast GA execution multiple implementation, considerations has been measured. Moreover, the consumed energy for received and sent data, node to node and node to BS distance have been considered as effective parameters in energy consumption formulation. Numerical simulation results show the efficiency of this method in terms of the consumed energy, network lifetime, the number of dead nodes and load balancing
Dual-Slope Percentage Bias Differential Relay (87) Protection Strategy for 11kV Underground Power Cable
The study focuses on the protection strategy for an underground power cable (transmission) for a medium voltage distribution network using dual slope percentage bias differential relay (ANSI 87). The underground cable is the bridge that connects the power supply from generator to distribution substations, it must be well protected from internal fault that may cause insulation breakdown and leads to electrical failure; while remain unaffected for external fault conditions. The fault simulation is done with PSCAD software, and the suitable protection settings for the applied differential relay is proposed. The study found that the relay is stable for external faults while allowing sensitive settings to pick up internal fault if the setting was carefully chosen
