Latinoamérica, en las fronteras del arte
Formulating a definition of Latin American art often involves distinguishing it from "Art," which seems to encompass only what is produced in Europe.
A possible answer to what Latin American art is can be found in its relationship with the social sphere, with history, and with the search for an original identity in tension with both European and local traditions.
A paradigm shift would be to think about art from this perspective, highlighting the extraordinary variety of symbolic production on the continent, overcoming the colonial mark, embracing the present mixtures, and thus crossing and erasing (or not) the boundary of what we believe we should call Art.Enunciar una definición de arte latinoamericano, muchas veces lleva a diferenciarlo del “Arte” el cual pareciera comprender solo el producido en Europa.
Una posible respuesta a lo que es arte latinoamericano podemos encontrarla en su relación con lo social, con la historia, con esa búsqueda de identidad originaria en tensión con tradiciones europeas y propias.
Un cambio de paradigma sería pensar el arte desde aquí, resaltando la variedad extraordinaria de la producción simbólica del continente, superando la marca colonizadora, asumiendo las mixturas presentes y así cruzar y borrar (o no), la frontera de lo que creemos que debemos llamar Arte
Escuelas agrarias y agroecología. Significados, apropiaciones y coproducción de saberes
This article investigates the contributions of agricultural schools to the agroecological transition. The objective was to observe the characteristics of this issue based on fieldwork carried out in two educational institutions within the horticultural belt of the city of La Plata (Argentina). The tensions between agroecology and conventional vegetable production are evident in curriculum designs from different periods, in teaching practices, and in the interventions of school agents. These questions led us to inquire about the ways in which students applied their knowledge at home or in family production units.El artículo indaga en los aportes de las escuelas agrarias a la transición agroecológica. Se propuso observar las características de esta problemática a partir del trabajo de campo realizado en dos instituciones educativas del cinturón hortícola de la ciudad de La Plata (Argentina). Las tensiones entre la agroecología y la producción convencional de hortalizas se evidencian en diseños curriculares de diferentes épocas, en las prácticas docentes y en las intervenciones de los agentes escolares. Estos interrogantes llevaron a preguntarnos por las apropiaciones que hacían los estudiantes en sus domicilios o en unidades productivas familiares
Los movimientos indígenas y su incidencia en los derechos lingüísticos de los grupos étnicos en Colombia
The struggles of indigenous movements in Colombia have achieved recognition and legislation on native languages in the national territory. Initially, through regional and local processes in which the recognition and appreciation of native languages led to the issuance of mandates that gradually transcended their incorporation into Colombian law. This required a series of social conditions that promoted the formation of indigenous organizations and, with this, their influence on national legislation, from their participation in the 1991 constitution, which recognizes the country as multi-ethnic and multicultural, to the creation of the 2010 language law, which stipulates the official status of indigenous languages in their territories and the inclusion of their teaching in schools and universities.Las luchas de los movimientos indígenas en Colombia han logrado el reconocimiento y la legislación sobre las lenguas nativas en el territorio nacional, en principio, mediante procesos zonales y locales en los que el reconocimiento y valoración de los idiomas nativos creó la emisión de mandatos que trascendieron paulatinamente a su incorporación en las leyes colombianas. Para ello, fueron necesarias, una serie de condiciones sociales que impulsaron la conformación de las organizaciones indígenas, y con esto, su incidencia en la legislación nacional, desde su participación en la constitución de 1991 en la que se reconoce al país como pluriétnico y multicultural, hasta la creación de la ley de lenguas de 2010, en la que se estipula la oficialidad de los idiomas indígenas en sus territorios y la inclusión su enseñanza en colegios y universidades
Detenidas en el susto. Prácticas de resistencia en la frontera-territorio
This paper assumes and shares previous inquiries that organize and systematize the feminisms of the South to enter, in a partial and fragmented way, into their ancestral knowledge weavings. From Gloria Anzaldúa and Moira Millán it goes through Luz en lo oscuro (2021) and Terricidio (2024) to weave a spiritual activism as a practice of resistance to patriarchy, colonialism, capitalism and speciesist anthropocentrism. In it we rehearse a healing reading practice to rewrite and conjure the scare in the border-territory we inhabit.Este escrito supone y comparte indagaciones previas que organizan y sistematizan los feminismos del Sur para ingresar, de manera parcial y fragmentada, a sus tejidos de conocimiento ancestral. Desde Gloria Anzaldúa y Moira Millán recorre Luz en lo oscuro (2021) y Terricidio (2024) para tramar un activismo espiritual como práctica de resistencia al patriarcado, al colonialismo, al capitalismo y al antropocentrismo especista. En él ensayamos una práctica de lectura sanadora para reescribir y conjurar el susto en la frontera-territorio que habitamos.  
Nepantleras. Artivismo espiritual en la obra de Gloria E. Anzaldúa
This article addresses the last phase of Anzalduana's work, focusing on the concept of Napantla and nepantleras as the collective healing power of feminism. The drama of the exile of nomadism on a planetary scale, which I define as “Necro-frontiers,” is present in his mestizo thinking and in his embodied writing, challenging transdisciplinary approaches. La Llorona and the imperative Coyolxauhqui, as new identities, are mutations located between the human, non-human, and supernatural worlds, which connect at the suture point of the scars as traces of the common. The mutating forms of spiritual artivism are the legacy for the new feminist, Chicana, leather generations of the “mundo zurdo”.Este artículo aborda la última fase de la obra anzalduana, enfocándose en los conceptos de Napantla y nepantleras como la fuerza del poder de sanación colectiva del feminismo. El dramatismo del exilio del nomadismo a escala planetaria, que defino como “Necro-fronteras” está presente en su pensamiento mestizo y en su escritura encarnada desafiando las formas de abordaje transdisciplinarias. La Llorona y la Coyolxauhqui imperativa, como nuevas identidades, son mutaciones situadas entre los mundos humanos, no-humanos, sobrenaturales, que se conectan en el punto de sutura de las cicatrices como trazos de lo común. Las formas mutantes del artivismo espiritual son el legado para las nuevas generaciones feministas, chicanas, cuir, del “mundo zurdo”
Indagar el Antropoceno a través de las escalas
The problem of scales is naturally and directly connected to certain current discussions in the philosophy of technology and, at the same time, to other political, ontological, epistemological, and methodological problems. In this paper, we attempt to briefly map three dimensions of the problem of scales: methodological/epistemological, ontological, and political. Finally, we offer some reflections on the implications of this approach to scales for philosophical anthropology.El problema de las escalas se conecta de manera natural y directa con ciertas discusiones actuales de filosofía de la tecnología y, a la vez, con otros problemas políticos, ontológicos, epistemológicos y metodológicos. En este trabajo intentamos realizar un breve mapeo de tres dimensiones del problema de las escalas: metodológica/epistemológica, ontológica y política. En último término ofrecemos algunas reflexiones sobre las implicaciones de este abordaje de las escalas para la antropología filosófica.O problema da escala conecta-se natural e diretamente com certas discussões atuais na filosofia da tecnologia e, ao mesmo tempo, com outros problemas políticos, ontológicos, epistemológicos e metodológicos. Neste artigo, tentamos mapear brevemente três dimensões do problema da escala: metodológica/epistemológica, ontológica e política. Por fim, oferecemos algumas reflexões sobre as implicações dessa abordagem da escala para a antropologia filosófica
Foxtail Millet (Setaria italica L.) Performance under Irrigation. Sowing Dates and Cultivars in the Northern Oasis of Mendoza
Foxtail millet is a short-season, summer annual forage crop primarily used for haymaking in Argentina. Valued for its efficient water use, it provides effective fiber for various milk and meat production systems. This trial evaluated two sowing dates (mid-November and mid-December) for the three commercially available foxtail millet cultivars in Argentina (Yaguané Plus INTA, Carapé Plus INTA, and Nará INTA) across two production cycles (2022/2023 and 2023/2024). The experiment was conducted at the Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias, Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, in Mendoza (33°00’38” S and 68°52’28” W). Yields of up to 14,000 kg DM/ha were obtained in the northern oasis of Mendoza. Significant differences in yield were observed between sowing dates, with December sowing yielding more than November. Additionally, Nará INTA was the highest-yielding cultivar.

Impact of Ozone-Based Postharvest Treatment on the Quality and Shelf Life of Radish (Raphanus sativus L.) Microgreens
Microgreens are young vegetable seedlings that have garnered significant attention due to their high concentrations of health-promoting phytochemicals. However, their highly perishable nature presents a significant challenge for postharvest storage. Among the various preservation technologies available, ozone treatment applied to microgreens-an innovative and environmentally sustainable method-has not been extensively studied. This study evaluated the effect of ozone-based sanitization on the shelf life and quality of radish microgreens. Conventional washing treatments using chlorinated water and tap water were compared to ozonated water. During refrigerated storage, key quality parameters were systematically monitored, including fresh weight loss, electrolyte leakage, color changes, and microbial counts. Ozonated water effectively reduced the initial aerobic mesophilic bacterial populations, with no statistically significant differences compared to conventional chlorine treatment. Furthermore, ozone treatment had minimal impact on color, and the weight loss remained below 1%. Although tissue wilting was observed, it was significantly less severe than that associated with chlorine treatment. These findings suggest that ozonated water is a promising alternative to conventional postharvest treatments for enhancing the shelf life and microbiological safety of ready-to-eat microgreens.

Guava Leaf Meal (Psidium guajava L.) in Broiler Diets: Effects on Performance, Nutrient digestibilty, and Intestinal Morphology
This study investigated the effect of guava leaf meal (GLM) as a phytobiotic in broilers, focusing on its chemical properties and potential physiological benefits. 135 one-day-old male Cobb broilers were randomly allocated to five treatments (nine replicates per treatment and three birds per replicate): a basal diet with regulated commercial antibiotic (T1), without regulated commercial antibiotic or growth promoters (T2), 1% GLM (T3), 1.5% GLM (T4), and 2% GLM (T5) for 38 d. T2, T3, T4, and T5 reduced feed intake (FI) during the finishing phase (days 20–38, P < 0.0001), but there were no statistical differences in accumulated feed intake (AFI) between treatments. GLM groups had lower ADG during the starter phase (days 3-20, P < 0.05), but there were no statistical differences in accumulated gain. Accumulated feed conversión rate (FCR) was better in T2 to T5 compared to T1 (P < 0.05). GLM groups (T3, T4 and T5) showed significantly higher values of nutrient digestibility (P < 0.05). Duodenum morphology showed that number of villi (P=0.02) and the villus height (P= 0.03) increased with GLM supplementation with respect to control groups (T1 and T2). In conclusion, GLM-based diets enhanced nutrient digestibility and improved intestinal architecture, thereby supporting their inclusion in broiler chicken diets to optimize production efficiency.
