Writing procedural texts requires logical and systematic thinking skills, yet it remains challenging for elementary school students, who often struggle to sequence steps correctly and apply appropriate linguistic conventions. This study aimed to examine the significance of the effect of creative procedure card (KPK) media in improving elementary students’ procedural text writing skills. A quantitative approach was employed using a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design involving 21 students selected through random sampling. Data were collected through a performance test of procedural text writing administered as both pretest and posttest, then analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, ANOVA, and t-tests. The results showed that KPK media had a significant effect on procedural text writing skills, with F_value > F_critical (29.181 > 4.60), and that there was a difference in students’ abilities before and after the use of KPK media, as indicated by t_value > t_critical (54.529 > 1.753). KPK media contributed 67.6% to the improvement of procedural text writing skills, demonstrating that its use is effective in optimizing elementary school students’ ability to write procedural texts

    No full text
This study is motivated by the limited research on the simultaneous influence of self-efficacy and emotional intelligence on elementary students’ learning interest, despite their significant impact on academic engagement and holistic development. The study aims to examine the partial and simultaneous relationships between self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, and learning interest among upper-grade elementary students. Adopting a quantitative correlational design, the research involved a total sample of 63 students from Grades IV–VI selected through total sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using correlation, multiple regression, and first-order partial correlation techniques. The findings reveal significant positive relationships between self-efficacy and learning interest (r = 0.573, p < 0.05) and between emotional intelligence and learning interest (r = 0.565, p < 0.05), with both variables jointly explaining 39.6% of the variance in learning interest. These results indicate that self-efficacy and emotional intelligence play a synergistic role in fostering students’ learning interest. The implications encompass theoretical contributions to understanding cognitive and emotional determinants of student engagement and practical recommendations for teachers, schools, and parents to strengthen students’ self-confidence and emotional competencies. Future research is recommended to broaden sample diversity, include additional influencing factors, and employ longitudinal or mixed-method approaches to further elucidate the mechanisms shaping learning interest

    No full text
This study addresses the limited research on the implementation of Islamic Education Policy (IEP) for bullying prevention in pesantren (Islamic boarding schools), despite its critical role in shaping students’ moral development and institutional well-being. The research aims to analyze and compare the effectiveness of preventive, detective, and curative IEP models in three pesantren—Nujumul Huda, Darul Kamilin, and Al-Falah—while identifying key supporting and inhibiting factors and broader policy implications. Utilizing a qualitative multiple case study design, the study engaged 33 respondents selected through purposive and snowball sampling. Data were collected via in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and processed using Miles and Huberman’s thematic framework with support from NVivo 12 Plus software. Findings indicate that the integration of preventive, detective, and curative strategies rooted in Islamic moral teachings substantially reduces bullying incidents and promotes akhlaq al-karimah (noble character) among students. Among the cases studied, the Al-Falah model emerged as the most effective, due to its psycho-educational-religious approach that emphasizes participatory engagement and restorative practices. The study concludes that sustainable bullying prevention in pesantren requires contextual, holistic policy integration that aligns national education frameworks with the cultural and religious dynamics of Islamic boarding schools. Theoretically, the research advances the integration of Social-Emotional Learning, Human-Centered Learning, and the Critical Pedagogy of Care within Islamic educational contexts. Practically, it offers adaptive policy recommendations for pesantren leaders and government stakeholders to reinforce anti-bullying initiatives anchored in Islamic values and community participation

Religious moderation is an important value that needs to be instilled from an early age so that children are able to behave with tolerance, empathy, and responsibility in social interactions, and the habituation method is considered effective for cultivating character values through repeated direct experiences. This study aimed to instill the value of religious moderation in early childhood through the habituation method. The research employed Classroom Action Research (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, PTK) using the spiral cycle model developed by Kemmis and McTaggart, consisting of two cycles with the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 16 children aged 5–6 years at TK Daruttaqwa NW Aikmel Lombok Timur, comprising 6 boys and 10 girls. Data were collected through observation with direct monitoring, interviews, and documentation, and were analysed using descriptive statistics by calculating the percentage of achievement of success. The results showed an increase in the percentage of mastery of religious moderation, from an initial condition of 44% to 56% in cycle I and 86% in cycle II. These findings conclude that a consistently implemented habituation method, supported by teacher role modelling and parental cooperation, is effective in instilling the value of religious moderation in early childhood. The implications of this study underscore the importance of close collaboration between family and school so that children grow into individuals who are open, appreciative of differences, and able to live harmoniously in a plural society

    No full text
This study examines the concepts of Islam Nusantara and Islam Berkemajuan of Muhammadiyah as two strands of Islamic thought that have developed within Indonesia’s socio-cultural context amid the growing prominence of religious moderation discourse. The background of this research lies in the persistent misunderstanding that positions Islam Nusantara as a new school or sect, as well as the limited understanding of the strategic role of Muhammadiyah’s Islam Berkemajuan in national dynamics. The study aims to analyze the characteristics, intellectual foundations, and implications of these two concepts for Islamic and national life. The method used is a literature review with a qualitative–descriptive approach, involving the collection and analysis of relevant books, scholarly articles, official documents, and credible online sources. The findings show that Islam Nusantara is not a new school, sect, or denomination, but rather a typology of Islamic practice that is contextual, dynamic, and attuned to the cultural plurality of the Indonesian archipelago. Meanwhile, Muhammadiyah’s Islam Berkemajuan emphasizes the role of Islam as a reformist force that promotes enlightenment of the ummah, social progress, and civilizational development. The study concludes that both concepts make important contributions to strengthening Islamic moderation in Indonesia and provide normative and practical frameworks for the development of dakwah that is inclusive, dialogical, and oriented toward civilizational advancement

    No full text
Increasingly complex environmental problems, such as students’ low awareness and concern for the cleanliness and sustainability of the school environment, indicate that environmentally based character education has not been optimally internalized in educational practice, as reflected in behaviors such as littering, poor classroom maintenance, and limited participation in environmental activities. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Adiwiyata Program at SMA Negeri 1 Gending as an effort to build environmental awareness among students. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews with the principal, vice principal, teachers, and students; direct observation of student behavior across various areas of the school; and documentation in the form of activity reports, school policies, and program archives, and were analyzed descriptively. The results indicate that the Adiwiyata Program has been comprehensively implemented in learning, student activities, and school management, with the integration of environmental values into lesson materials, student council activities, and school policies encouraging observable changes in student behavior, such as properly disposing of trash, maintaining classroom cleanliness, caring for plants, using reusable food containers, and reminding peers to keep the school clean. Documentation further highlights supporting factors, including the commitment of school principals, the Adiwiyata organizational structure, and parental support, alongside obstacles such as budget constraints, low participation among some teachers, and limited ongoing training. The findings demonstrate that the synergy of policies, learning, school culture, and the participation of all school elements critically influences the success of environmental character building. The implications of this research underscore the importance of institutional strengthening, program sustainability, and the integration of environmental education into school policies and the national curriculum to cultivate ecological character in the next generation

    No full text
Strengthening parenting practices grounded in local wisdom within the traditions of the Sasambo communities in Nusa Tenggara Barat has become increasingly important amid the homogenizing influence of modern parenting models, while studies that specifically examine ethnoparenting perspectives in the aqiqah tradition across the three ethnic groups (Sasak, Samawa, and Mbojo) remain limited. This study aimed to describe the cultural practices and symbolic meanings of the aqiqah tradition as a form of locally rooted parenting among Sasambo communities. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed with participants comprising traditional leaders and community members from the three Sasambo ethnic groups. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and were then analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal differences in terminology and ritual practices in each ethnic group, such as Ngurisang (Sasak), Bekuris (Samawa), and Cafi Sari, Boru, and Dore (Mbojo). Despite these variations in practice, all traditions embody religious, social, and educational values that reinforce cultural identity and child-rearing patterns grounded in local wisdom. The study concludes that the aqiqah tradition in Sasambo communities is not only a religious ritual but also functions as a medium for the internalization of values in parenting. The implications of these findings provide a foundation for developing ethnoparenting models based on local culture in early childhood education
