Self-Regulation as a Determinant of Cognitive Ability in Technology-Based Mathematics Learning Media
This research aims to analyze at teachers' self-regulation as a factor that determines their cognitive abilities in technology-based mathematics learning media. Self-regulation is a process where individuals consistently organize and manage their thoughts, emotions, behavior and environment to achieve academic goals. This study used a explanatory survey method with a quantitative approach. The instrument used in this research was a observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaire. The research subjects used were 10 STKIP MBB elementary school teachers consisting of grade 1 to 6 teachers and major teachers. The data analysis technique in this research uses simple linear regression. The results of the research reveal that Teacher Self-Regulation is a Determinant of Cognitive Ability in Technology-Based Mathematics Learning Media. The simple linear regression equation for the hypothesized self-regulation variable as a determinant of teacher cognitive abilities is: Ŷ = -27.664 + 0.938(85). The positive sign (+) indicates that the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable goes in one direction, which means that every increase or decrease in one variable will be followed by an increase or decrease in another variable, so that the higher the self-regulation, the higher the determinant teacher's cognitive abilities in learning media and vice vers

Cirebon Coastal Adolescents' Use of Taboo Language and Its Relation to Parental Education
The prevalence of taboo language among adolescents, both at home and in school settings, is undeniable. Often, adolescents resort to using taboo words not only in moments of anger but also in non-angry contexts. This study endeavors to elucidate the patterns of taboo language usage among adolescents residing in the coastal area of Cirebon, taking into account the influence of parental education. Conducted at SMAN 1 Suranenggala and SMKN 1 Gunungjati, North Cirebon, the research involved a total sample of 195 respondents selected through cluster random sampling techniques. Findings indicate that a majority of adolescent boys and girls employ Javanese language at home, with taboo language predominantly falling within the low category of usage. Moreover, male adolescents exhibit a higher propensity for taboo language usage compared to their female counterparts, particularly in interactions with friends. Interestingly, the study discerns no significant correlation between the use of taboo language and parental education levels. Notably, taboo language predominantly revolves around animal-related terms, including dogs and their synonyms, pigs, and monkeys. Ultimately, the research underscores that the utilization of taboo language is contingent upon various factors such as situational contexts, environments, and conversational partners
EXAMINATION OF SOIL-TRANSMITTED HELMINTHS (STH) IN THE FINGERNAILS AND TOENAILS OF SCAVENGERS AT SUWUNG LANDFILL.
Scavengers are individuals who gather used items or specific waste for recycling. Scavenging work has resulted in the notion that the scavenger's way of life is an unhealthy lifestyle. The environment and workplace are not conducive and are unclean, so there is a high possibility that scavengers can contract various illnesses, such as coughing, itching, diarrhea, and others. Risk factors for STH worms entering the human body are poor personal hygiene, which can be caused by not being familiar with maintaining proper hand and nail hygiene. Fingernails become a place where worm eggs are attached and can be swallowed when eaten. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence of STH (Soil-Transmitted Helminth) eggs on the fingernails and toenails of scavengers in Suwung landfill. The research design was carried out with an observational study using the cross-sectional method and the results were analyzed with Chi-Square which was carried out by assessing the relationship between the presence of STH eggs and the use of PPE while working. A total of 10 respondents were sampled for their toenails and hands. The results revealed an incidence of STH egg infection in 20% of fingernails and 10% of toenails caused by Ascaris lumbricoides and Trichuris trichiura eggs. A Chi-Square test was performed to examine the correlation between the usage of PPE and the occurrence of STH infection, and a p-value> 0.05 was obtained. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no strong relationship between both of them.
