ENTREPRENEURSHIP ORIENTATION AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE: THE ROLE OF GOVERNMENT SUPPORT AS MODERATION (In Gen Z as Culinary Serving MSME Actors in Padang City)
No full textThis study aims to empirically prove the effect of entrepreneurial orientation and government support on culinary MSME business performance in Padang City. In addition, this research also aims to prove the role of government support to strengthen the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and culinary MSME business performance in Padang City. In this research, as many as 120 culinary actors managed by gen Z or business actors aged between 16 and 23 years were used at this time. Data collection was carried out through distributing questionnaires. The data analysis method used is quantitative by using path analysis. The results of testing the hypothesis found that entrepreneurial orientation will encourage increased culinary MSME business performance managed by gen Z in Padang City. The research results obtained also found that government support in the form of financial or non-financial has a strong influence on the performance of micro business businesses managed by gen Z in Padang City. Another finding obtained through our research is that government support moderates the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and business performance. These findings show that the implementation of an entrepreneurial orientation will be carried out and on target if it gets financial or non-financial support from the government so that it can encourage increased business performance

One of them is the education sector in guidance and counseling services. This research aims to analyze the role of Guidance and Counseling teachers in improving services for students who provide guidance. The type of research carried out was field research, using a qualitative approach. In this research, researchers collected data using interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research reveal the role of Guidance and Counseling teachers in improving services to students, by providing services or providing information regarding assertiveness, and supervising or monitoring students in the field, providing encouragement and encouragement to students, as well as directing students to stay on track to increase assertive behavior. The inhibiting factors are the difficulty of students being open to the Guidance and Counseling teacher, the limited time factor for conducting counseling, as well as the child's character which often changes during the counseling process
PENGEMBNAGAN E-LKPD BERBASIS PROJECT BASED LEARNING (PJBL) PADA KURIKULUM MERDEKA PEMBELAJARAN FISIKA MATERI HUKUM NEWTON
No full textThe education curriculum in Indonesia continues to develop. Currently, the 2013 Curriculum has been replaced by the Independent Curriculum with the aim of improving the quality of education so that it is on par with developed countries. This type of research is development research (Research And Development/R&D) with a 4-D model. This research was conducted at SMAN 3 Padang consisting of 36 students from class XI Science F.7. The instrument used in this research was validation, practicality and effectiveness sheets. The results of this research show that the E-LKPD validation results obtained an average of 88.57% with very valid criteria. In addition, the practicality results obtained an average percentage as big as 92.86% with very practical criteria , while the results of the hypothesis carried out by the statistical test used were the Mann Whitney test , namely Z_hitung=67,88> Z_(tabel= )1.65 there is an influence on student learning outcomes using E-LKPD. The effectiveness results obtained were that E-LKPD was effective with an N-gain value of 0.62. It can be concluded that he E-LKPD learning media based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) is valid, practical and effective in improving student learning outcomes at SMAN 3 Padang

No full textPemanfaatan tempurung kelapa dan ampas tebu sebagai bahan baku utama pembuatan briket memiliki potensi besar sebagai bahan bakar alternatif. Briket merupakan arang dengan bentuk tertentu yang dihasilkan melalui proses pemampatan dengan penambahan sejumlah perekat tertentu. Pemanfaatan briket sebagai bahan bakar mampu menghasilkan kalor dengan sedikit asap yang ramah lingkungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi arang ampas tebu dan arang tempurung kelapa serta jenis perekat terhadap karakteristik briket. Variabel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu rasio massa arang tempurung kelapa terhadap arang ampas tebu (90:10, 80:20, 70:30, 60:40 dan 50: 50) dengan jenis perekat briket berupa tepung tapioka. Tahapan penelitian pembuatan briket ini meliputi persiapan bahan baku, karbonisasi, pembriketan dan analisa produk. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik briket terbaik terdapat pada briket dengan perekat tepung tapioka dan komposisi arang ampas tebu terhadap arang tempurung kelapa. Karakteristik briket yang terbaik yaitu untuk nilai kalor terbesar terdapat pada perbandingan 60:40 yaitu sebesar 5.663 kal/gr sedangkan untuk ketahanan pada saat pembakaran terdapat pada perbandingan 90:10 yaitu 2 jam 15 menit.Kata kunci : Tempurung kelapa, ampas tebu, briket, karbonisas
META ANALYSIS: APPLICATION OF PROBLEM BASSED LEARNING MODEL ASSISTED BY PHYSICS LEARNING MEDIA
No full textTujuan meta analisis ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan Model Problem Bassed Learning (PBL) berbantuan media pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa di Indonesia. Metode penelitian menggunakan meta-analisis yang terdiri dari merumuskan masalah, mengunpulkan, mengkode, menganalisis, dan menafsirkan data. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai penelitian terdahulu untuk menentukan efektivitas model PBL dengan media pembelajaran seperti animasi, modul interaktif, dan alat peraga membantu siswa belajar lebih baik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL berbantuan media pembelajaran Fisika memiliki efek positif yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa, dengan nilai rata-rata effect size 1,2 dan termaasuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan interpretasi sebesar 88%. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai rekomendasi guru fisika untuk menerapkan model PBL dengan media pembelajaran secara efektif guna meningkatkan hasil belajar fisika siswa
EFL Students’ Learning Styles on Basic Reading in Higher Education
No full textThis research aims at finding students’ learning styles on Basic Reading. Difficulties that arise at learning Basic Reading are often due to differences in learning styles. It has been proposed that the lecturers should assess the learning styles of their students and adapt their classroom activities and assessment to best suit of student’s learning style. The data were collected in form of a survey using questionnaire. The samples were 55 students who enrolled in the first semester of higher education that selected randomly. It was found that in perceptual learning styles the students preferred having a visual style (3.79), followed by auditory (3.48), kinesthetic (3.47), reading/writing style (3.42), and tactile (3.40). Meanwhile, in sociological learning styles, the students preferred to study in a group (3.73) and an individual learning style (3.29). The findings show that the awareness on students’ preference in learning styles can help the lectures to design learning activities and task to them. By considering the students’ learning styles, we can achieve better pedagogical outcomes in Basic Reading classroom later

No full text AbstrakUntuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata pada siswa kelas satu di Tunas Bangsa pada tahun akademik 2022–2023, penelitian ini menerapkan penggunaan PowToon, sebuah platform video animasi sebagai media pengajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama dua siklus dengan melibatkan 18 siswa, dan menunjukkan dampak positif terhadap penguasaan kosakata siswa menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Video PowToon memunculkan rasa ingin tahu, keterlibatan, dan antusiasme yang lebih besar, terutama ketika mengenali tempat umum di Indonesia. Sementara hasil kuantitatif menunjukkan peningkatan skor yang memuaskan dari siklus pertama hingga siklus kedua, temuan kualitatif menyoroti peningkatan dalam perilaku, keterlibatan, dan pemahaman. Penelitian ini menyoroti potensi PowToon sebagai alat yang menarik untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata siswa dan memberikan data yang berguna bagi guru serta penelitian di masa depan dalam bidang terkait AbstractTo improve vocabulary mastery among primary one students at Tunas Bangsa in the academic year 2022–2023, this study implemented the of using PowToon, an animated video platform as a teaching media. The study, carried out over two cycles with 18 students, revealed a positive impact on students' vocabulary acquisition using both qualitative and quantitative methods. PowToon videos generated more curiosity, engagement, and enthusiasm, especially when recognizing Indonesian public places. While quantitative results demonstrated a satisfying scores from the first to the second cycle, qualitative findings highlighted improvements in behavior, engagement, and comprehension. This study highlights PowToon's potential as an engaging tool for improving students' vocabulary mastery and offers useful data for teachers and future research in related fields.
VIDEO PROJECT ACTIVITY AND FRESHMEN'S LEARNING AUTONOMY IN INTERMEDIATE SPEAKING COURSE
No full textThe availability of technological learning media offers easiness in determining relevant learning activities. Moreover, this can also be integrated into the principle of a student-centered learning system which would promote students to be more independent in managing their study. This study investigated the relationship between the video project activity and freshmen’s learning autonomy in the Intermediate Speaking course. Nine students of the English Language Education Study Program of the 2022/2023 batch were involved as the participants of this correlational study. To gather the data, a learner autonomy questionnaire and the result of students’ speaking video project were used. The Pearson Product Moment formula was used to analyze the correlation of the two variables. The findings of this study confirmed possible implications between the correlational of “learning autonomy” and “learning achievement”
Semiotic Analysis of Masculine Representation in “Padman”: Exploring Denotation, Connotation, and Myth
No full textThis study employs a qualitative research design to examine the representation of masculinity in the film "Padman" through a semiotic analysis. Utilizing Barthes' semiotic framework, the research explores how denotative, connotative, and mythic elements construct the character of Lakshminkant, played by Akshay Kumar. The analysis reveals that Lakshminkant embodies a form of masculinity that diverges from traditional portrayals, emphasizing empathy, resilience, and innovation over physical strength and aggression. Visual cues such as his traditional attire and confident yet humble body language, alongside his engagement in physical labor, highlight his connection to rural roots and industrious nature. His focus on menstrual hygiene, a taboo subject in many parts of India, challenges patriarchal norms and promotes gender equality. The study finds that Lakshminkant's character redefines heroism by aligning it with perseverance, moral courage, and social innovation. This redefinition challenges hegemonic masculinity and offers a progressive model of manhood that values emotional and social intelligence. Additionally, the film's portrayal of Lakshminkant as a benevolent innovator underscores the potential of individuals to drive social change, suggesting that modernity can coexist with traditional values. Theoretical application of Barthes' semiotic framework proved effective in uncovering the layers of meaning within the film, providing a comprehensive understanding of its portrayal of masculinity. This research contributes to the discourse on gender roles in Indian cinema and highlights the importance of inclusive representations in promoting societal change
SYSTEMIC FUNCTIONAL GRAMMAR OF THEME-RHEME USED IN FOLKATIVE INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT
No full textSocial media has become part of people’s lives which enables people to communicate, interact, or look for the information. Instagram often used as a platform which upload the latest news, all the news can get on instagram easily. One of the news platforms on instagram is Folkative. This study aims to find out the types of theme-rheme and the most frequently used of theme-rheme in folkative instagram account by Gerot and Wignell (1994). A qualitative descriptive design was applied in this study. The results showed the analysis of 40 captions containing several types of themes, there are 37 topical themes, 1 textual theme, and 2 interpersonal themes found in folkative instagram account. In topical themes, the unmarked topical theme is found 25 themes, and the marked topical theme are 12 themes. The most frequently used of theme-rheme in folkative instagram account is topical theme. Hopefully, the results will inform people about the analysis of theme-rheme
