The research employed a quasi-experimental method by administering treatment to one group. The treatment of one of the groups was used to compare the results of the experiments. In this case, the control class is a class that is treated with expository learning, while the experimental class itself is treated with a sex education approach. The research results indicate that the provision of sex education modules is both excellent and effective, serving as a crucial first step in enhancing students' understanding of sex education, as evidenced by an increase in their knowledge. Schools, in particular, can accept the implemented modules. There is a significant difference in the average use of sex education modules for the pre-test of the experimental group (implementation of the sex education module) and the post-test of the experimental group (implementation of the sex education module). However, the significance value is greater than 0.05

The validation results show that the assessment is highly feasible, scoring 88.5 (media) and 89.7 (material). The effectiveness of the assessment is evidenced by an increase in the average pre-test score from 37.69 to 86.19 in the post-test and student completeness from 0% to 100%. Statistical tests showed significant differences before and after using the assessment, with an N-Gain score of 0.827908 (high category), proving their effectiveness in improving students' reading comprehension. This assessment is an evaluation tool that encourages active student involvement

    Get PDF
This research investigates how the Program Pengenalan Lapangan or PLP (the School Field Experience Program) influences English teacher candidates’ preparedness. Using a 22-item questionnaire, data were collected from 41 participants through a quantitative descriptive method. Results show that 78.71% believe the school field experience program enhanced their readiness, particularly in instructional planning, classroom management, communication, and character development. The high percentage of positive responses suggests that the school field experience program effectively bridges theory and practice. However, lower parental communication and administrative task scores indicate aspects needing improvement. The research highlights the value of experiential learning in teacher education and suggests enhancing the program through reflective teaching and stronger mentorship

Information literacy and Gen Z oversharing on Instagram

    Get PDF
Abstract This study examined the relationship between information literacy and the oversharing behavior of Gen Z students’ outpourings on Instagram. The research was qualitative with an intrinsic case study approach, which allows for a holistic exploration of the experiences of the research subjects. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews, online observations (netnography), and documentation of digital uploads of ten middle-level student informants who actively used Instagram. The thematic analysis results showed that low information literacy and unclear understanding of digital ethics made students vulnerable to impulsively sharing personal content. The need for social validation influenced this practice, as did social media cultural pressures and weak education about digital privacy, both in the family environment and educational institutions. This study highlighted the urgency of strengthening ethics-based digital literacy as a technical skill and a reflective competency to build wise and responsible digital behavior. These findings provide us with theoretical and practical contributions in developing contextual digital literacy education policies oriented towards the formation of the digital character of the young generation.

    Get PDF
Democracy can thrive well in societies where individuals practice democratic values in their daily lives. Such democratic attitudes can be obtained through education that applies democratic principles. This study aims to explore how students in Indonesian high schools perceived the democratic attitudes exhibited by their teachers during instruction. Guided by a quantitative research design, the study involved 180 respondents conveniently chosen from 12 high schools in West Sumatra, South Kalimantan, DI Yogyakarta, and DKI Jakarta provinces. Data were elicited through a survey questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The study findings indicated that participants viewed teachers in provinces with a high democracy index as demonstrating democratic attitudes on most survey items, in contrast to those in areas with a low democracy index. The participants noted that teachers' democratic attitudes in teaching enhance their motivation to study and elevate their academic achievement. This study underscores the necessity of fostering teachers’ democratic attitudes in teaching through teacher professional development programs
