INFLUENCE OF ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS ON THE CONDITION OF ADOLESCENT DENTAL HARD TISSUES: CLINICAL AND PHYSICOCHEMICAL ANALYSES
The aim of the work was to investigate the peculiarities of the influence of environmental factors on the state of the dento-mandibular system in 15-year-old adolescents. Patients were examined in a dental chair using standard sets of examination instruments: mirror, forceps, and probe. Visual assessment of the state of oral organs and tissues was carried out using standardized indices. In male subjects, the index value of the calculated microbiological activity index living in Aidarken, Sumsar and Shakaftar were significantly worse compared to controls. The concentration of different minerals in saliva in this group was 1.5E-07±2E-08, which is an essential indicator to assess the mineral balance and remineralization potential of tooth enamel. The value of the lesion index ratio in this group was 4.211±0.397, which is a statistically significant deviation (p<0.005). This increase can be explained by the chemical influence on the population due to the activity of plastic factories, which negatively affects the oral health of adolescents and increases the risk of caries development. This result emphasizes the importance of considering environmental factors when assessing dental health in different regions. Importantly, significant differences were found between groups depending on the dominant unfavourable factor. This means that different environmental and chemical factors may have different effects on the caries-forming activity of dental plaque, which requires an individualized approach to caries prevention and treatment in different settings
PENGARUH PEMBERIAN KOMPOS PELEPAH KELAPA SAWIT DAN PUPUK NPKMg TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT KELAPA SAWIT (Eaeis guineensis Jacq.) DI PEMBIBITAN UTAMA
Oil palm is a plantation commodity that plays an important role in advancing the country's economy. Jambi Province is one of the centers of oil palm plantations in Indonesia. dominated by smallholder plantations which are generally managed in an inaccurate way, causing Jambi Province's oil palm productivity (3,506 kg/ha) to be lower than the National productivity (3,873 kg/ha) and resulting in the expansion of the TTM/TR area. The purpose of this study was to study the effect of applying and obtaining the best dose of palm frond compost and NPKMg fertilizer on the growth of oil palm seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.). This research was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi and lasted for months, starting from July-October 2022. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 6 treatments, namely: p0 = 100% NPKMg (recommendation), p1 = 20% palm frond compost + 80% NPKMg (R), p2 = 40% palm frond compost + 60% NPKMg (R), p3 = 60% palm frond compost + 40% NPKMg (R), p4 = 80% palm frond compost + 20% NPKMg (R), p5 = 100% palm frond compost. Variables observed included height increase (cm), increase in tuber diameter (mm), increase in the number of leaves (strands), shoot dry weight (g), root dry weight (g) and root crown ratio. The results showed that the application of palm frond compost and NPKMg fertilizer was able to increase growth in the variable increase in weevil diameter and increase in the number of leaves. However, it has not been able to increase the increase in seedling height, shoot dry weight and root dry weight and obtain a good root canopy ratio. Dosage of 60% palm frond compost + 40% NPKMg gave the best average growth of 6 months old oil palm seedlings in the main nursery. In addition, applying palm frond compost can reduce the use of NPKMg fertilizer by 60% or 30 g/seed.

Improving Students’ Speaking Skill Through Role Play Technique of a Vocational High School in Sungai Penuh
In international relations, English language skills are very important to be able to participate in the wider world of work. Speaking skills are measured by the ability to carry out conversations in the language. This fact makes teachers think that speaking skills must be mastered by their students. This research was designed in classroom action research. This aimed to improve students' speaking skills among vocational school students in Sungai Penuh. A total of twenty-eight (28) participants were involved and carried out through two cycles. Each cycle consists of three meetings. The first and second meetings of each cycle were used to implement role-play techniques. Meanwhile, the last meeting of each cycle is for the speaking test. During this research, the researcher was assisted by a collaborator. Collaborator is a teacher who teaches English at a vocational school in Sungai Banyak. The instruments of this research are questionnaires and speaking tests. The results of this study showed that students' speaking skills improved significantly. This is proven by the average student scores. In cycle I, student achievement was 70.14, cycle II 82.28. Before researchers conducted this research, the average student score was 60.78. These results indicate that role playing techniques can improve students' speaking skills. Improving students' speaking skills is influenced by several factors. Namely: components of effective learning, classroom management and student awareness themselves
UJI ANGKA LEMPENG TOTAL DAN ANGKA KAPANG KHAMIR PADA Pleurotus ostreatus DAN Ganoderma lucidum
Mushrooms are a source of antioxidants. Mushrooms can be processed into various products. Both raw materials and finished products from mushrooms must comply with established standards. The aim of this research was to determine the total plate count and total fungal count in Ganoderma lucidum and Pleurotus ostreatus samples. The method used is the Total Plate Count (TPC) and Total Fungal Count (TFC). The TPC value in G. lucidum was 6.4 x 106 CFU/g and TFC was 3.9 x 105 CFU/g. This value exceeds the BPOM maximum standard for tea products or herbal brews. The TPC value in P. ostreatus was 1.2 x 105 CFU/g and TFC was 4.9 x 105 CFU/g. The TPC value for P. ostreatus is less than the maximum standard set by BPOM, while the TFC value exceeds the maximum standard for powder or mixture of soup and broth. The conclusion of this research is that the TPC and TFC in the G. lucidum and P. ostreatus samples exceed the standards set by BPOM No. 13 of 2019 except for the TPC in the P. ostreatus sample.Jamur adalah salah satu sumber antioksidan. Jamur dapat diolah menjadi berbagai macam produk. Baik bahan baku maupun produk jadi dari jamur harus sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai angka lempeng total dan angka kapang khamir pada sampel serbuk Ganoderma lucidum dan Pleurotus ostreatus. Metode yang digunakan adalah uji Angka Lempeng Total (ALT) dan Angka Kapang Khamir (AKK). Nilai ALT pada G. lucidum sebesar 6,4 x 106 CFU/g dan AKK sebesar 3,9 x 105 CFU/g. Nilai tersebut melebihi standar maksimum BPOM untuk produk teh atau seduhan herbal. Nilai ALT pada P. ostreatus sebesar 1,2 x 105 CFU/g dan AKK sebesar 4,9 x 105 CFU/g. Nilai ALT pada P. ostreatus kurang dari standar maksimum yang ditetapkan oleh BPOM, sedangkan nilai AKK melebihi standar maksimum untuk bubuk atau campuran sup dan kaldu. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah nilai angka lempeng total dan angka kapang khamir pada sampel serbuk G. lucidum dan P. ostreatus melebihi standar yang telah ditetapkan oleh BPOM No. 13 tahun 2019 kecuali nilai angka lempeng total pada sampel serbuk P. ostreatus
Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains Siswa Kelas VIII Materi Pesawat Sederhana: The Influence of the Guided Inquiry Learning Model on the Science Process Skills of Class VIII Students with Simple Plane Material
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 4 Karanganyar pada materi pesawat sederhana. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen menerapkan model inkuiri terbimbing dan kelas VIII H sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes pilihan ganda keterampilan proses sains dengan indikator yang meliputi aspek mengamati, mengelompokkan, menafsirkan, meramalkan, mengajukan pertanyaan dan aspek merumuskan hipotesis untuk keterampilan proses sains dasar, merencanakan percobaan, menggunakan alat/bahan, menerapkan konsep dan berkomunikasi untuk keterampilan proses sains terpadu. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji t. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas VIII SMP. Didapatkan nilai Sig. 0,000 kurang dari 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak yang artinya terdapat pengaruh model inkuiri terbimbing dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Selain itu dilihat dari perbedaan nilai n-gain, dimana kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai n-gain sebesar 0,56 dengan kategori sedang. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas VIII SMP. Oleh karena itu, penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat dijadikan alternatif yang baik dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran sains di sekolah, terutama dalam mengembangkan keterampilan proses sains yang penting bagi siswa. Diharapkan temuan ini dapat mendorong guru untuk lebih mengoptimalkan penggunaan model ini dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas
ENHANCING LEARNING EFFECTIVENESS THROUGH ADAPTIVE LEARNING PLATFORMS AND EMERGING COMPUTER TECHNOLOGIES IN EDUCATION
The integration of adaptive learning platforms and emerging computer technologies has transformed education by personalizing learning experiences and increasing accessibility. However, challenges such as uneven access, inadequate teacher training, and technical limitations hinder their full potential. This study examines the impact of major educational platforms (Coursera, Khan Academy, edX) and adaptive technologies on the learning process, aiming to assess their effectiveness in diverse educational contexts. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining qualitative content analysis of educational platforms such as Coursera, Khan Academy, and edX with quantitative assessment of their features, engagement levels, and effectiveness. The study analyzed data from educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan, focusing on the role of analytics, interactive elements, and gamification in enhancing learning outcomes. Findings indicate that adaptive platforms enhance accessibility and flexibility in learning while offering real-time analytics for personalized feedback. Virtual labs, such as those utilizing the Quanser QNET DC Motor Control Board, demonstrated the feasibility of remote practical training. However, successful implementation depends on comprehensive planning, infrastructure readiness, and continuous professional development for educators. The study contributes to understanding the role of adaptive learning in addressing educational disparities. It highlights the necessity of institutional support and teacher training for the effective use of these technologies. Novel insights include the potential of integrating AI-driven analytics to optimize personalized learning experiences. Future research should explore long-term impacts on student engagement and academic performance, particularly in under-resourced educational settings
Analisis Wacana Kritis Norman Fairclough terhadap Representasi Bahasa Masyarakat dalam Pemberitaan Geng Motor
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi bahasa masyarakat sebagai ungkapan keresahan dan harapan dalam pemberitaan geng motor di Jambi dengan menggunakan kerangka Analisis Wacana Kritis Norman Fairclough. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana media lokal menggambarkan geng motor melalui bahasa yang mencerminkan kekhawatiran masyarakat sekaligus menyuarakan harapan untuk perubahan, terutama terkait dengan keamanan dan ketertiban sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data diperoleh dari teks berita yang diterbitkan oleh media lokal di Kota Jambi dalam periode tertentu, serta wawancara dengan masyarakat yang terlibat dalam wacana tersebut. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi studi dokumen, wawancara, dan observasi, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan tiga dimensi analisis Norman Fairclough: analisis teks, praktik diskursif, dan praktik sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberitaan geng motor di Kota Jambi menampilkan bahasa yang sarat dengan ungkapan keresahan masyarakat, yang tercermin dalam pilihan kata yang negatif seperti "ancaman," "kerusuhan," dan "kejahatan." Namun, dalam beberapa kasus, pemberitaan juga mencerminkan harapan akan solusi melalui penegakan hukum dan peran pemerintah dalam meredakan kekhawatiran tersebut. Analisis praktik diskursif mengungkapkan bagaimana media berperan sebagai agen pembentuk wacana yang berfungsi untuk mengkonstruksi realitas sosial, sementara praktik sosial menunjukkan bahwa pemberitaan ini berhubungan erat dengan persepsi masyarakat yang cemas terhadap meningkatnya kejahatan di kota tersebut. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa bahasa yang digunakan dalam pemberitaan geng motor tidak hanya mencerminkan keresahan masyarakat, tetapi juga mengandung harapan untuk perbaikan dan penanganan masalah sosial tersebut. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami dinamika bahasa media sebagai refleksi dari kepentingan sosial dan ideologi yang mendasarinya, sekaligus mendorong masyarakat untuk lebih kritis dalam mengkonsumsi berita dan memahami representasi sosial yang dibangun oleh media
MARKETING MIX STRATEGY OF TOFU PRODUCTS IN TOFU AGROINDUSTRY IN JAMBI CITY
This research aims to (1) Describe the general picture of the tofu agroindustry in Jambi City, (2) Analyze aspects of the marketing mix that has been implemented by the tofu agroindustry in Jambi City. The selection of the research location was carried out purposively by considering production capacity and number of workers. Respondents in this research are agro-industry owners. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative by providing assessments using a Likert scale (4,3,2,1). The results of this research show that, (1) the Tofu Koni, Tagor Kuring, and Ghaizan Alfarizi agro-industry is an industry that produces wet tofu and dry tofu located in Jambi City with different numbers of workers, namely 9 people, 6 people, and 3 people. . Production activities are carried out every day and use grinding machine technology. Products are distributed to market distributors in Jambi City. The selling price of the product is different for each agro-industry starting from Rp. 600 – Rp. 11,000, (2) The overall implementation of the 7P marketing mix strategy implemented by Tahu Koni Agroindustry, Tagor Kuring Agroindustry, and Ghaizan Alfarizi Agroindustry is in the good category. The three agro-industries can maintain aspects of the marketing mix that are in the good category and improve and improve aspects of the marketing mix that are still in the poor category. Aspects that need to be improved are the promotion aspect, the people aspect and the physical evidence aspect
Tingkat Produktivitas Usahatani Padi Sawah di Wilayah Kerja Penyuluh Pertanian (WKPP) Kecamatan Trimurjo Kabupaten Lampung Tengah
Padi merupakan komoditas utama dalam sektor pertanian yang memiliki peran strategis sebagai sumber pangan pokok bagi sebagian besar penduduk di Indonesia. Namun, produktivitas padi sawah di berbagai wilayah masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan yang mempengaruhi tingkat hasil panen dan keberlanjutan usaha tani. penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktor-faktor apa saja yang memengaruhi tingkat produktivitas padi sawah di Kecamata Trimurjo Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Penelitian ini akan dilakukan di WKPP (Wilayah Kerja Penyuluh Pertanian) Kecamatan Trimurjo, Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Waktu pelaksanaan penelitian adalah Januari 2023 – Februari 2023. Jumlah sampel yang diperoleh adalah sebanyak 98 petani. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dan kemudian data dianalisis dengan analisis deksriptif dan Analisis Regresi Linier Berganda. hasil penelitian yaitu umur responden berkisar pada kelompok umur antara 15 – 64 tahun sebanyak 53 orang atau dalam kategori produktif. tingkat pendidikan formal sebagian besar atau sebanyak 62 orang petani padi sawah (63,26%) telah menempuh tingkat pendidikan formal sampai ke jenjang sekolah menengah, yaitu SMP. Luas lahan garapan yang dimiliki petani padi sawah di Kecamatan Trimurjo berkisar 0,19 – 1,13 ha atau termasuk kategori sempit. luas lahan garapan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat produktivitas padi sawah sedangkan umur petani dan pendidikan formal tidak berpengaruh signifikan
