Perbaikan Pertumbuhan Gmelina arborea Roxb dan Nauclea orientalis Linn dengan Pemangkasan Akar dan pemberian Biostimulan: Enhancement of Gmelina arborea Roxb and Nauclea orientalis Linn Growth with Root Pruning and Bio-Stimulants
ABSTRACT
A lack of seedling maintenance could lead to decreases in the quality of their growth. Stunted root systems could lead to future disruptions in nutrient absorption. In this research, the root system was improved by applying root pruning to improve the growth of new lateral roots. Furthermore, liquid fertilizer was added to further increase plant growth. This study aims to examine the influence of root pruning and bio-stimulants towards the growth of the saplings gmelina (Gmelina arborea Roxb) and canary wood (Nauclea orientalis Linn), both of which had stunted growth in their permanent nursery in Dramaga Bogor, Indonesia. Factorial design with two analysis factors was used in this study. These were root pruning (0% and 30%) and bio-stimulants (0% and 2%). The combination of 0% root pruning and 2% bio-stimulants increased G. arborea growth (diameter, total dry weight, and number of leaves) and N. orientalis growth (height, diameter, and total dry weight). The combination of 30% root pruning and 0% bio-stimulants showed a significant influence on the number of G. arborea leaves. The combination of 30% root pruning and 2% bio-stimulants affected the leaf colour change of G. arborea and increased both of the saplings root growth. In all treatments, G. arborea and N. orientalis saplings had a seedling quality index value in the range of 0.2 – 1.1.

Pengaruh Proses Bleaching Terhadap Finishing Kayu Pinus Dan Kayu Karet Terserang Blue Stain: The Effect of Bleaching Process on Finishing of Pine Wood and Rubber Wood Attacked by Blue Stain
ABSTRACT
One of the problems faced by the furniture industry is the attack of coloring fungi or what is commonly called blue stain. The attack of coloring fungi causes color changes so that the appearance of the wood decreases. The bleaching process is one way that can be done to overcome the attack of blue stain. The bleaching process in the industry uses the chemical white agent 250 (WA-250). However, research related to the effect of the bleaching process on the finishing of pine wood and rubber wood attacked by blue stain has not been carried out. This study aims to determine the effect of the bleaching process on the finishing of pine wood and rubber wood attacked by blue stain. Finishing tests include testing the adhesion of the finishing layer (cross cut test) referring to ASTM D 3359, flexibility testing is carried out with a coin test, and hardness testing refers to ASTM D 3363. The results of this study are that the bleaching process does not affect the finishing process on pine wood and rubber wood attacked by blue stain, both those treated with bleaching and those without bleaching treatment, which are included in the same finishing quality category. Based on the adhesion test, it is included in class 4B (Good) and its flexibility gets a value of 5 (very good), while the hardness of the finishing layer is in the less category.

Struktur Komunitas Estimasi Simpanan Karbon Tegakan Mangrove Di Pesisir Sungai Sambas Besar, Kecamatan Tekarang, Kabupaten Sambas: Community Structure and Estimation of Mangrove Stand Carbon Stock on the Coast of the Sambas Besar River, Tekarang Subdistrict, Sambas Regency
ABSTRACT
Mangrove ecosystems play an important role in coastal protection, habitat provision, and carbon storage (blue carbon). This study aimed to analyze mangrove community structure and to estimate carbon stocks and CO₂ sequestration along the Sambas Besar River, Tekarang Subdistrict, Sambas Regency. The research was conducted in September 2025 using an exploratory approach with purposive sampling near a bridge construction area. Vegetation data were collected using line transects and quadrats of 10×10 m, 5×5 m, and 2×2 m according to growth stages. Community structure was assessed using density, frequency, dominance, and the Importance Value Index (IVI). Biomass was estimated using allometric equations for Sonneratia caseolaris, Nypa fruticans, and a general mangrove model. Carbon stocks were calculated using a carbon fraction of 0.47, and CO₂ sequestration was estimated based on molecular ratios. Three mangrove species were identified (S. caseolaris, N. fruticans, and Acanthus ilicifolius), with S. caseolaris as the dominant species (mean IVI 226.026 at the tree level and 300 at the sapling level). The average stand biomass was 35.355 t/ha, mean carbon stock was 14.266 t/ha, and estimated CO₂ sequestration reached 111.302 t/ha. Measured water parameters (pH ≈ 6.9; DO ≈ 5.4 mg/L; temperature ≈ 30 °C; salinity ≈ 12 ppt) supported mangrove ecosystem functions. These results confirm the contribution of mangrove stands to carbon storage and emission mitigation and emphasize the need for conservation management, periodic monitoring, and targeted rehabilitation.

Effectiveness of principals’ supervision and the learning performance of high school teachers through digital-based PLC
Teachers' learning performance can be improved through the principal's supervision by implementing several strategies and supporting tools. One of the strategies in learning supervision can be carried out through digital-based Professional Learning Communication (PLC) activities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of learning supervision in improving teacher learning performance through digital-based PLC activities, using a quantitative method with a multiple-regression research design. The results showed that the adjusted R2 (determination coefficient) was 0.934, meaning that the supervision activity of digital-based PLC (X1), and the supervision outcome activity of digital-based PLC (X2) contributed 93.4%, to the improving the learning performance of high school teachers (Y), while the remaining 6.6% explained by other factors that are not described in this study. The result of F (418.635) > F-table (3.91) and the significance value of P = 0.001 < α 0.05, means that the test model is feasible. In other words, there is a significant simultaneous influence of both variables on the improvement of high school teachers' learning performance (Y)
The analysis of teacher’s perception of the integration of Kasepuhan local wisdom into school curriculum
The purpose of this study is to analyze teachers' perceptions of the integration of the Kasepuhan local wisdom into school curricula. Using a survey method, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to schoolteachers to evaluate their knowledge of the Kasepuhan cultural values, the extent of integrating these values into teaching practices, and the challenges encountered in implementing local wisdom-based education. The study also examined curriculum development, assessments, teacher competence, teaching materials, learning media, and community involvement. The results revealed that while 35% of teachers know Kasepuhan values, only 13.33% believe these values are applied in schools. A significant number (40%) indicated the need for curriculum adjustments to reflect local culture better, while 70% reported that local wisdom-based assessment criteria had not been optimally implemented. Furthermore, the study concludes that although teachers recognize the importance of integrating Kasepuhan wisdom, challenges such as insufficient resources, lack of training, and limited school facilities hinder its implementation

Analysis of teachers’ pedagogical competence in improving the quality of learning
This research aimed to assess the educational abilities of teachers in terms of planning learning activities, implementing the teaching process, and making efforts to increase student motivation in learning. The research employed a qualitative approach to gather data through interviews, observations, and document collection. The data analysis process encompassed information reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The subjects who became informants were the principal, his deputy, and educators. The results indicate that educators’ pedagogical expertise in compiling learning activities is evident in their preparation of the lesson plan. However, several teachers often do not bring it, so the learning objectives are not achieved optimally. When learning, teachers demonstrate an understanding of the material by studying the textbook’s contents. However, problems still exist in class management, and there is a lack of discipline regarding time usage. To increase students' enthusiasm for learning, teachers create opportunities for active participation by utilizing information and communication technology, establishing effective communication with them, and conducting reflection to enhance the quality of learning
