The Influence of Animated Video Educational Media on Increasing Knowledge about Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Immunization among School-Aged Children
Cervical cancer, the leading cause of death for women in developing countries, is now threatening adolescents aged 21-22 years due to HPV infection and lack of knowledge about prevention through vaccination. In Indonesia, cases and deaths from cervical cancer are relatively high, although the prevalence in NTB is lower. HPV immunization coverage in NTB is still 38,99% of the target of 90%, especially at the elementary school level such as MI Nurul Islam, where low student understanding and parental rejection are obstacles. This research seeks to determine the influence of Animated Video Education Media on HPV knowledge among children aged 10-11 years in MI Nurul Islam, which is in the working area of Karang Pule Health Center. The research is a pre-experimental type with a pretest-posttest design; the total sampling approach determined that the research sample consisted of 40 individuals. By comparing students' knowledge before and after the intervention, the Wilcoxon test with α = 0,05 is used to examine how well video increases knowledge regarding HPV vaccination. The study's findings demonstrated that respondents' knowledge of HPV vaccination was 65% in the poor category prior to receiving the video, and 92.5% in the good category following the video. This was demonstrated by an average increase from 49.25 to 91 with a P-Value (0,000 <0,05). This means that there is an effective video about HPV towards the Level of Knowledge of Children Aged 10-11 Years in MI Nurul Islam, Karang Pule Health Center, Working Area. The results of the study are expected to provide benefits for respondents, future researchers, educational institutions, and research sites

In today's digital era, ICT infrastructure and networks are key in facilitating communication and collaboration, managing data, optimizing operational efficiency, and increasing organizational innovation capabilities. Therefore, investment in ICT infrastructure and networks is significant in strengthening the competitiveness and sustainability of organizations in the current digital era. This investment may be related to routine maintenance and training for related human resources. To support academic and operational activities at the Faculty of Science and Technology and Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM) Universitas Jambi, it is necessary to carry out comprehensive computer and internet network maintenance activities at these two locations. Then, it is also necessary to carry out more intensive training for the assigned Engineer on-site to handle basic computer network problems (troubleshooting)
PENGARUH CORPORATE ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE DAN ENVIRONMENTAL COST TERHADAP CORPORATE VALUE DENGAN FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING (STUDI EMPIRIS PADA PERUSAHAAN SEKTOR PERTAMBANGAN YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA TAHUN 2022-202
Environmental damage caused by mining activities has increased attention to environmental performance and costs. This study aims to analyze the effect of Corporate Environmental Performance and Environmental Cost on Corporate Value, with Financial Performance as an Intervening Variable, in mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2022 to 2024. The data analysis method used in this study is Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) run using SmartPLS4 software. Based on the analysis results, only Corporate Environmental Performance has a positive and significant effect on Corporate Value. Environmental Cost and Financial Performance do not significantly influence Corporate Value. Financial Performance is unable to mediate the relationship between Corporate Environmental Performance and Environmental Cost on Corporate Value. These results confirm that the Indonesian capital market values environmental commitment as a signal of legitimacy and reputation, but the financial benefits of environmental expenditures are not visible in the short term. Companies need to make environmental management a sustainable strategy to strengthen long-term value.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh Corporate Environmental Performance dan Environmental Cost terhadap Corporate Value dengan Financial Performance sebagai Variabel Intervening pada Perusahaan Pertambangan yang terdaftar di bursa efek indonesia (BEI) tahun 2022-2024. PENGARUH KINERJA ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL, AND GOVERNANCE (ESG) TERHADAP KINERJA KEUANGAN PERUSAHAAN DENGAN KEKUATAN CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO) SEBAGAI VARIABEL MODERASI DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA
This study aims to analyze the influence of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance on corporate financial performance, with CEO characteristics as a moderating variable on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. The sample used in this study were companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2020-2022 that had ESG distribution scores in the Revinitif Eikon database. Using a purposive sampling method, a sample of 17 companies was obtained. This study employed moderated regression analysis (MRA) tested using Eviews12. The results showed that environmental and social performance did not significantly influence corporate financial performance, while corporate governance performance did significantly influence corporate financial performance. Meanwhile, the CEO power variable was unable to moderate (strengthen) the relationship between environmental, social, and governance performance and corporate financial performance.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kinerja environmental, social, governance (ESG) terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan dengan karakteristik CEO sebagai variabel moderasi di bursa efek Indoneisa. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2020-2022 yang memiliki skor pengungkapan ESG pada database Revinitif Eikon. Dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling, diperoleh sampel sebanyak 17 perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan moderated regression analysis (MRA) yang diuji menggunakan Eviews12. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja environmental dan social tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan, sementara itu kinerja governance berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan. Adapun variabel kekuatan CEO tidak mampu memoderasi (memperkuat) hubungan antara kinerja environmental, social, maupun governance dengan kinerja keuangan perusahaan.

THE INFLUENCE OF PARENTS' DEMOCRATIC COMMUNICATION PATTERNS ON STUDENT LEARNING MOTIVATION IN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL N 6 JAMBI CITY
Motivation is an essential factor that drives individuals to achieve their goals. For students, learning motivation plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of learning to reach academic success and future aspirations. One of the key factors influencing learning motivation is the communication pattern applied within the family. Each family has different communication dynamics, which may lead to variations in students’ learning motivation. This study aims to examine the influence of parents’ democratic communication patterns on students’ learning motivation at SMA Negeri 6 Jambi City. The research employed a quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the t-test assisted by SPSS software. The results show a significance value of 0.002 (<0.05) and a t-count of 3.251 (>2.000). Therefore, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, indicating a significant influence of parents’ democratic communication patterns on students’ learning motivation
ANALISIS WACANA KRITIS PADA BERITA MENGGUNAKAN THEO VAN LEEUWEN (SOCIAL ACTORS APPROACH/SAA)
Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk menganalisis berita “Pembongkaran sindikat kasus prostitusi online” dengan menggunakan teori Theo Van Leeuwen. Metode yang digunakan ialah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulann data menggunakan tiga tahapan. Tahapan pertama ialah membaca dan memahami dengan tema Prostitusi Online di website IMCNEWS.ID dan iNews.id . Tahap kedua yaitu menandai bagian-bagian dari website berita tersebut, kemudian menghubungkan dengan teori dari Theo Van Leeuwen. Tahap ketiga ialah melakukan penelaah data mengenai cara kerja dari teori Theo Van Leeuwen, yang di mana ada lima teori yaitu objektivasi-abstraksi, nominasi-kategorisasi, nominasi-identifikasi, determinasi-indeterminasi dan asimilasi-individualisasi. Keempat, terakhir menarik menyimpulkan hasil deskripsi data dengan dari hasil peneliti. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan dalam menulis berita kriminal dengan tema pembongkaran sindikat kasus prostitusi online. Dalam berita tersebut tetap menyembunyikan dalang dan actor yang berperan dalam berita tersebut, hal ini sejalan dengan kutipan dari (Dalam et al., n.d.) Proses eksklusi dan inklusi adalah cara menampilkan aktor sosial di dalam wacana dengan memanfaatkan permainan kata atau diksi, kalimat, gaya bahasa, dan cara bercerita tertentu untuk menampilkan aktor sosial yang diinginkan ke dalam sebuah wacana
Kebakaran di Mendalo Indah dalam Analisis Wacana Kritis Teori Teun A. Van Dijk
Analisis wacana kritis dapat diartikan sebagai upaya atau proses penguraian untuk menjelaskan suatu teks atau realitas sosial yang akan atau sedang dipelajari oleh seseorang atau kelompok dominan yang cenderung mempunyai tujuan tertentu untuk memperoleh apa yang diinginkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Metode ini berfungsi untuk menafsirkan dan mendeskripsikan suatu objek dengan menggunakan kata atau kalimat yang terdiri dari (1) identifikasi, (2) klasifikasi, dan (3) Struktur Makro Interpretasi merupakan suatu struktur yang bersifat tematik dengan unsur topik yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan topik berita yang membahas tentang kilas balik atau evaluasi penerapan kebijakan dari pembelajaran jarak jauh yang disinari oleh Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia. Setiap berita diawali dengan judul sebagai ringkasannya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang ada setelah melalui analisis wacana dimensional pada teks berita Teun A. Van Dijk dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembahasan struktur makro secara tematik atau topik yang dibahas dalam teks tersebut adalah membahas tentang kebakaran perumahan di Mendalo Indah yang menghanguskan 3 rumah dan memakan 2 korban jiwa. Enhancing students’ pronunciation skills through the use of english songs at a public Senior High School in Batang Hari
This study aims to enhance students’ pronunciation skills through the integration of English songs as a learning medium. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was implemented in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants were third-grade students of a public senior high school in Batang Hari. Data were collected using pronunciation tests, classroom observations, and documentation. The pronunciation tests measured students’ progress, while observations were conducted to monitor the teaching learning process and students’ engagement. Documentation supported the analysis by providing additional information about classroom activities and materials. The findings revealed that the use of English songs significantly improved students’ pronunciation performance and fostered active participation in learning activities. The improvement was reflected in the increase of students’ average scores from 61.81 in the pre-test, to 68.24 in post-test 1, and 76.42 in post-test 2. These results indicate a steady and meaningful enhancement in pronunciation ability throughout the research cycles. In conclusion, the incorporation of English songs into classroom activities proved to be an effective and enjoyable method for improving students’ pronunciation skills while promoting a more dynamic and motivating learning atmosphere
FACTORS AND STRATEGIES TO DEVELOP CRITICAL THINKING IN ACADEMIC WRITING: A CASE OF EFL STUDENTS AT ONE UNIVERSITY IN JAMBI
At the university level, critical thinking is an essential yet challenging skill for EFL students. EFL students often face various barriers to developing this skill. The purpose of this study is to explore the factors that influence EFL students' abilities and to investigate the strategies they employ to develop critical thinking skills in academic writing. This study used a qualitative research design with a case study approach while the data was collected through semi-structured interviews with ten participants, specifically eighth-semester students majoring in English at a public University in Jambi. The researcher used purposive sampling to select participants based on specific criteria. The researcher used thematic analysis as a method to examine and interpret the collected data. The findings show that EFL students face several factors that affect their ability to develop critical thinking in academic writing including personal competence factors (lack of topical knowledge), linguistic factors (grammar and vocabulary), and psychological factors (low motivation, lack of self-confidence, and anxiety in supervision),. However, despite these influencing factors, EFL students also apply strategies to overcome challenges when developing critical thinking in academic writing, specifically self-management, technology support, learning atmosphere, support system, and mentorship schedule management. It can be concluded that this research is expected to be useful as suggestions and recommendations aimed to develop critical thinking in academic writing, especially for Indonesian students at the undergraduate level
Family Influence, Perceived Digital Competence, and Attitudes on Sustainable Student Engagement: A Study at Sinar Bijaksana Guang Ming School
This study examines the relationship between family digital experience, perceived digital competence, and student attitudes toward technology in fostering sustainable student engagement at Sinar Bijaksana Guang Ming Secondary and Senior High School, Jambi. Using a quantitative research approach, data were collected through online questionnaires completed by 205 students out of a population of 248. Analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results show that digital experiences within the family significantly influence students’ attitudes toward technology (p = 0.000) and their perceived digital competence (p = 0.012). Both perceived digital competence (p = 0.000) and attitudes toward technology (p = 0.025) were found to positively impact student engagement. These findings highlight the importance of family support, self-assessed digital skills, and attitudinal orientation as interconnected factors that shape students’ active participation in digital learning. In today’s digital era, where technology plays a pivotal role in education, student readiness to utilize digital tools is increasingly essential. Family involvement provides early exposure and guidance that builds foundational digital literacy. Additionally, internal factors such as confidence in using technology and a positive attitude toward it significantly affect learning engagement. This study contributes to the growing discourse on digital education by emphasizing how both external and internal influences collectively support meaningful, sustained engagement in digital learning environments
