Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus Secondary Infection as a Comorbid in Crusted Scabies Patient
Get PDFIntroduction: Crusted scabies (CS) is characterized by uncontrolled proliferation of mites up to thousands. Complications include glomerulonephritis, rheumatic fever, and secondary infection which can cause bacteremia and sepsis. This case report describes a case of CS that was hospitalized with secondary complications of MRSA infection. Case Presentation: A 44-year-old woman complained of thick scales and itching all over her body for 6 months. Complaints begin with reddish bumps between the fingers, toes, body, genitals, and scalp, accompanied by itching, especially at night. The patient took self-purchased corticosteroids for this complaint for 6 months. Dermatology status all over the body showed erythematous papules plaques with greenish-yellow scales, blackish crusts, hyperkeratosis, and excoriation, also erythematous base erosions and blackish crusts in the right thoracic region. Ectoparasite scrapping examination showed large amounts of Sarcoptes scabiei, eggs, and scybala, so the patient was diagnosed with Crusted scabies. A wound culture and nasal swab showed MRSA. The patient died of septic shock on day 12 of treatment. Discussion: Crusted scabies is a highly contagious form of scabies, characterized by thickening of the skin layer and crusts. Long-term corticosteroid consumption in this case caused a compromised immune response so that the number of mites multiplied rapidly and increased the risk of MRSA infection. MRSA mortality rates range from 5-60%. Conclusion: Ignored cases of scabies can develop into crusted scabies which have a high risk of secondary infection, such as MRSA which can cause serious morbidity and even mortality
The Effect of Compensation on Container Driver Discipline: The Mediating Role of Work Motivation
Get PDFContainer drivers often face problems related to work discipline, including punctuality, performance, consistent attendance, and financial difficulties. These problems include on-time arrival, schedule efficiency, the effect of fatigue and stress on performance, disruption to attendance due to health factors, and financial difficulties that require company assistance through a good funding system. Container drivers in the export-import trade have a large contribution to the punctuality of delivery, therefore truck driver work discipline is the main factor that influences the productivity and performance of container drivers. Container drivers who work with full work discipline have a good impact on the development of transportation service companies, therefore this research aims to analyze the influence of compensation and work motivation on container driver discipline. This research uses quantitative methods, where the population in this study is PT container drivers. Multi Trans Surabaya. A total of 63 people met the criteria to become respondents in this research. The incoming data was processed using SEM_PLS. The results of this research are that compensation has a significant positive effect on the work discipline of container drivers, compensation has a significant positive effect on the work motivation of container drivers, work motivation has a significant positive effect on the work discipline of container drivers and work motivation mediates the effect of compensation on the work discipline of container drivers
Jalan Panjang Menuju Inklusi Digital bagi Penyandang Disabilitas di Indonesia
Get PDFCurrently, the trend of internet use continues to increase, including in Indonesia. The internet is believed to be able to support community empowerment and improve welfare. For this reason, digital technology is required to be able to reflect the needs of all levels of society, including people with disabilities. This is a great opportunity for people with disabilities to benefit from digital information, products and services to live more independent lives. This article discusses how digital technology, especially the internet, is used by people with disabilities, including the obstacles that accompany it. This research uses a literature review method by collecting data through observation and literature study. The research results show that there is a digital gap between people with disabilities and non-disabled people in Indonesia. The main obstacles in creating an inclusive digital space are awareness, motivation, access to ownership, access to use, access to affordability of digital technology, digital skills, adaptive technology, certainty of digital protection & security as well as policy and regulatory support. However, efforts were also found to implement good digital inclusion practices by reducing the digital divide through policy support, infrastructure improvements, empowerment activities and increasing public awareness.Keywords: people with disabilities; digital inclusion; digital divide; digital technology
Benefits of SQ4R Method in Reading Comprehension to Improve Student Literacy

This article aims to discover the benefits of applying the SQ4R method in understanding reading to improve student skills and knowledge. Methods. The method used in this article is library research. Result. Bibliometric Mapping of Academic Library Research: Trends and Influences in the Journal of Academic Librarianship

This study uses bibliometric analysis to review and analyze research articles published in the Journal of Academic Librarianship. Analysis Data. Quantitative data analysis in this study involves a combination of descriptive statistics, citation analysis, and conceptual structure analysis. Bibliographic data of documents used in this study were processed using Biblioshiny software. Results. The analysis revealed several dominant themes. Inclusion and diversity, emphasizing the importance of creating an inclusive library environment and supporting cultural and social diversity. Professional development, focusing on professional development and library management to meet the demands of technology and improve services. Instructional Design and Library Instruction, highlighting instructional design and information literacy, including learning strategies and information skills assessment. Higher Education and Collaboration, describing the relationship between libraries and higher education institutions, with an emphasis on collaboration to support education and research. Digital libraries, open access and scholarly communication, demonstrate the importance of digital technology and open access in supporting research and scholarly communication. Conclusions. The study concludes that the academic library research landscape is dynamic and multifaceted, with significant emphasis on inclusion and diversity, professional development, instructional design and collaboration. Furthermore, the exploration of the evolving role of academic libraries in supporting open access and scholarly communication is a promising avenue for further investigation. Women's Literacy in Using Digital Media Information

Indonesian women have low digital literacy skills, and data from 2022 shows that only 34.7% have good literacy skills. 54.6% of Indonesian women receive hoax messages compared to men, while cyberbullying shows 39.2% occurs in women. This causes women to be less confident in accessing the internet. This research aims to analyze women's literacy levels in utilizing digital information media, identify the challenges they face, and explore the impact of cyberbullying on women to formulate strategies for increasing digital literacy that are safer and more inclusive. Research Method. The research combines qualitative and quantitative methods with data collection through in-depth interviews, online surveys, and social media content analysis. Data Analysis. The research sample consisted of women with various social, economic, and educational backgrounds who actively use social media. Results. The results of the study are expected to provide insight into the level of social media literacy among women, the challenges they face, and effective strategies to improve this literacy. In addition, this study also aims to identify the role of social media in strengthening or inhibiting women's empowerment in various sectors of life. Conclusions. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more inclusive and gender-sensitive social media literacy education programs and provide policy recommendations to support more active and critical involvement of women in the digital world. Along with technological advances and developments, digital technology is currently rapidly influencing society in supporting business activities, both large and small, so that they can be recognized globally. The main aim of this research is to examine how the use of cutting-edge technology contributes to increasing the income of MSMEs in Serut area. The system used combines different repetitive inspection procedures with the help of the SPSS 16.0 variation program. The information used is important and additional information. Research information is collected. by the scientists themselves with a selection procedure as a perception by utilizing observation polls using a questionnaire list. The results of the research show that the use of digital technology has a positive and significant effect on increasing the income of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Serut area. From this research the use of digital technology can increase the amount of production, increase income and increase the marketing area, while the obstacles that the problem faced is that technology mastery has not been maximized and there is no understanding of well-structured management

Sepasang suami istri yang hidup sederhana disebuah kampung, dimana istrinya yang bernama siti, sedang hamil tua, saat itu siti sedang mengidam martabak, suami yang bernama junet ini seorang pekerja keras, syukurnya junet mendapat mendapat upah hasil kerja kerasnya, dan mereka berencana membeli martabak, namun sesaat hendak pergi siti mencuim aroma sedap ditetangganya, tak disangka setelah datang kerumah tetangganya itu, ternyata makanan yang dimasak, makanan yang tidak layak, jadilah siti dan junet memberikan seluruh uangnya kepada tetangganya dengan hati ikhlas. Pesan moral islami merujuk pada akhlak yang merupakan beberapa sifat terpuji yang diisyaratkan sesuai Hadist dan Al-Qur’an dan Sunnah Rosul. Secara keseluruhan film “ikhlas†kaya akan simbol dan makna tentang berbagai ajaran Islam. Karena hal inilah penulis tertarik untuk meneliti film “ikhlasâ€. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginterpretasi pesan moral islami yang terkandung pada Film â€ikhlasâ€. Teori Semiotika Model Triadic Charles Sanders Peirce digunakan sebagai pendekatan sekaligus metode analisis dalam penelitian ini. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi dan observasi dengan menonton film secara keseluruhan. Berdasarkan analisis menggunakan Model Triadic hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa pesan moral islami yang terkandung dalam Film â€ikhlasâ€, yakni: etika seorang muslim, sikap sopan, ramah, ikhlas dan tawakal. Saran yang ingin disampaikan oleh peneliti yaitu hendaknya kita memahami pesan moral apa saja yang terdapat pada film sehingga mampu dan dapat diterapkan ke kehidupan sehari-hari. Get PDFPenelitian ini menganalisis kesalahan berbahasa dalam berita rubrik "Kabar Persyarikatan" pada situs Pimpinan Pusat Muhammadiyah dengan menggunakan metode simak dan teknik sadap. Fokus penelitian adalah pada kesalahan morfologi, meliputi penggunaan prefiks, pemilihan kata, dan ejaan yang salah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya berbagai kesalahan morfologi seperti penggunaan prefiks yang tidak sesuai, pemilihan kata yang kurang tepat, dan kesalahan dalam ejaan kata. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam pemahaman dan perbaikan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia yang benar dalam media daring
