Get PDFTujuan dari penelitian yaitu mendeskripsikan dan membandingkan perbedaan dan persamaan pada cerpen “Ayahku yang Terbaik†Karya Khairina Dwi Rivani dan “Atas Nama Ayah†Karya Uswatun Hasannah. Dalam membandingkan kedua cerpen penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dari penelitian yaitu cerpen “Ayahku yang Terbaik†Karya Khairina Dwi Rivani dan “Atas Nama Ayah†Karya Uswatun Hasannah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat persamaan dan perbedaan pada kedua cerpen tersebut. Persamaannya terdapat judul, topik, tema, penokohan, dan sudut pandang sedangkan perbedaannya terdapat pada alur, latar, amanat, dan analisis pesan moral. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat diperoleh kesimpulan meskipun memiliki unsur cerpen yang sama tetapi penerapan pada setiap cerpen berbeda.Kata-kata kunci: Perbandingan, Cerpen, Struktura
REPRESENTATIF KOLONIALISME DALAM NOVEL CANTIK ITU LUKA KARYA EKA KURNIAWAN (PENDEKATAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA)
Get PDFThe aim of this research is to describe the representation of colonialism in the beautiful novel Luka using postcolonial theory with a literary sociology approach. The research method used in this research uses a qualitative descriptive research method with text content analysis techniques. The data source in this research is the novel text, namely the novel "Beautiful is a Luka" by Eka Kurniawan, which was reprinted with its twentieth printing in 2020. Based on the results of the analysis of the novel "Beautiful is a Luka" by Eka Kurniawan, the results are: 1. Representation of the Issue of Colonialism in Social Structure of Society in the Novel "Beauty is a Wound" by Eka Kurniawan, and 2. Messages and Criticisms Reflected in the Novel "Beauty is a Wound" by Eka Kurniawan. The conclusion is that this novel is full of depictions of colonialism which was very cruel for the Indonesian population and contains historical stories in Indonesia
Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Menggunakan Model PBL Terintegrasi Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi Dan Pembelajaran Sosial Emosional
Get PDFThis research was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 19/IV Jambi. The aim of this study is to improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes by using a problem-based learning (PBL) model integrated with differentiated and social-emotional learning. The research method employed was classroom action research focused on improving the quality of the learning process by following these steps: (1) planning, (2) action implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. Data collection techniques used were observation and written tests with rubric instruments, multiple-choice, and short answer questions. The data analysis technique used was descriptive qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of this study indicate an improvement in students’ learning outcomes after the application of the problem-based learning model integrated with differentiated and social-emotional learning. The average pre-cycle learning outcome score was only 56.19 with a learning objective achievement percentage of 28.57%, while in cycle I after the intervention, the average learning outcome score was 71.9 with a learning objective achievement percentage of 66.66%, and in cycle II there was an increase in the average learning outcome score to 80, with a learning objective achievement percentage of 90.47%. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the problem-based learning model integrated with differentiated and social-emotional learning can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students
Integrasi Green Accounting Dalam Strategi Pemasaran Membentuk Citra Merek Sustainability Pada Konsumen Gen-Z
Get PDFThis research aims to explore how Generation Z responds to green accounting practices and its impact on brand image, as well as to formulate appropriate marketing strategies based on these findings. The research method employed is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, and data analysis was conducted using a thematic approach to identify thematic patterns emerging from interviews and observations. The results of the study indicate that Generation Z responds positively to green accounting practices, considering it a key differentiator in brand selection. The implementation of green accounting has a positive impact on brand image, with respondents perceiving companies adopting green accounting practices as pioneers and leaders in conducting business responsibly. Subsequently, based on the research findings, formulating marketing strategies that consider sustainability values becomes crucial in meeting the preferences and expectations of Generation Z
Effect of Ginger Extract in Lowering Blood Pressure in The Elderly with Hypertension
No full textBackground: Hypertension is a cardiovascular disease that is common to find in elderly. Its prevalence reached to 22% throughout the world in 2020. Pharmacological treatment to hypertension involves lifetime commitment to drug adherence. Ginger extract as complementary therapy has been widely common in Indonesia to reduce common flu symptoms and indigestion. It acts as a therapeutic effect that boosts immune system, improving the cardiovascular system by reducing the level of low-density lipoproteins and cholesterol. Prior studies showed its effect in lowering blood pressure in hypertension patients, while several other said the effect was stronger in less than 50 years old people. The aim of the study was to analyze red ginger extract as main therapy in hypertension in elderly. Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental with one group pretest-posttest without control group. Participants were 45-65 years old hypertension patients in Semper Barat II Primary Health Care. Intervention was 4 grams of minced ginger then added by 2 spoons of honey in 100 ml of water. The drink was consumed in 5 days. Results: Average age of participants were 62,9 (60-65) years old. Before intervention, mean blood pressure was 156,8 (140-180) / 98,03 (85-115) mmHg and lowered to 148,6 (125-170) / 92,57 (80-110) mmHg after 5 days of intervention (p=0,0001). Conclusion: We recommend ginger extract as an alternative to reduce blood pressure in elderly with hypertension. We hoped the results will become a new approach to treat hypertension
The Effectiveness of 4% Niacinamide in A Case of Cutaneous Lupus
Get PDFBackground: Niacinamide, also called nicotinamide, is the active form of niacin (nicotinic acid, vitamin B3). Niacinamide’s role in medicine continues to be studied due to its extensive effects and low toxicity. Various studies also suggest that niacinamide offers anti-inflammatory effects, improves the skin barrier, and acts as an anti-aging, brightening, and anticancer agent. Cutaneous lupus (CL) is a general term for a group of autoimmune connective tissue disorders affecting the skin that may be associated with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). There are plenty of treatment modalities for patients with CL, each with varying efficacy. Therapeutic options for CL can range from topical agents, including corticosteroids and calcineurin inhibitors, to systemic therapy, such as antimalarials, immunosuppressants, retinoids, thalidomide, and biological agents. Niacinamide is a topical agent widely used in various cases, one of which is CL. Objective: This case report aims to discuss the effectiveness of niacinamide as an adjuvant therapy in CL. Case Presentation: A 48-year-old woman with SLE and CL received systemic therapy consisting of methylprednisolone, hydroxychloroquine, and 4% niacinamide gel for 8 weeks. Results: Observations showed clinical improvement in CL lesions without any significant side effects. Conclusion: Therefore, 4% niacinamide gel therapy can be used as an adjuvant therapy
Nicotine in Vapor Exposure Decreases Hippocampal Neurons in Rats
Get PDFBackground: Recently, many people have considered electronic cigarettes to be a safer alternative to conventional tobacco cigarettes, even though they still contain harmful substances such as nicotine, which is associated with a decrease in hippocampal neurons. Objective: This study aimed to examine the effect of exposure to e-cigarettes on hippocampal neurons in rats. Methods: An experimental study was performed using 26 tissue samples obtained from Wistar rats. The rats were randomly assigned to four groups and treated over an eight-week period as follows: the control group (K) (n=7) had no vapor exposure; the V0 group (n=6) received vapor without nicotine (0 mg/ml); the V6 group (n=7) was exposed to vapor and 6 mg/ml nicotine; and the V12 group (n=6) was exposed to vapor and 12 mg/ml nicotine. Hippocampal neurons were examined using hematoxylin-eosin staining at 400x magnification across 7 fields of view. Data were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test with the Mann-Whitney post-hoc. Results: The number of hippocampal neurons was significantly reduced in both the V12 and V0 groups compared to that in the control group (p<0.05). The lowest number of hippocampal neurons was observed in the V0 group (0 mg/ml nicotine), followed by the V12 group (12 mg/ml), and then the V6 group (6 mg/ml).Conclusion: The present study showed that the variation of nicotine in vapor exposure decreases hippocampal neurons in rats

No full textThis study aims to analyze consumer preferences for cement/ceciwis vegetables, see the most preferred attributes of cement/ceciwis vegetables and the most dominant attributes to be developed in cement/ceciwis vegetables. The method used in this study is the descriptive survey method. The sample withdrawal method in this study is by using the Accidental Sampling method of 50 respondents with primary data from interviews using a questionnaire tool. The data were analyzed using the konjoin analysis method with SPSS 25. The results of this study show that the consumer utility value for semen/ceciwis vegetables in a clean condition is (0.255), has an even freshness level of (0.195), price <= Rp. 8,000 is (0.195), durability > from 5 days is (0.025), and easy to obtain is (0.075). Importance Score) used as a consideration material for respondents/consumers of Semen/Ceciwis vegetables in order from the highest to the lowest are Cleanliness Level of 26,613, Price and Freshness of 21,496, Durability of 17,342 and Availability of 13,513 The cleanliness level of Semen/Ceciwis Vegetables is one of the attributes that is highly considered by consumers in making a purchase decision, this can be seen from the usability value of 0.255 and the importance of by 26,613 which is higher than other attributes. The marketing strategy that can be used to increase the sales of semen/ceciwis vegetables is to use a marketing strategy, namely the marketing mix or often called the 4P because it consists of a mix of products, prices (price), places (place), and finally a promotion mix (promotion). No full textGedung Apartemen Rahayu direncanakan 10 lantai dengan tinggi 40 meter, panjang 49 meter, dan lebar 35 meter. Lokasi gedung berada di Yogyakarta yang memiliki intensitas gempa dengan getaran tinggi. Gedung struktur baja tersebut didesain agar mampu menahan gaya akibat gempa menggunakan Sistem Rangka Bresing Eksentrik (SRBE) yang memiliki kemampuan dalam memikul momen yang terjadi akibat beban gravitasi serta gaya geser akibat beban lateral. SRBE adalah komponen struktur tambahan berupa balok link yang memiliki fungsi sebagai sendi plastis pada struktur bresingnya. Struktur bresing menggunakan tipe V. Peraturan yang digunakan pada perencanaan gedung struktur baja adalah SNI 1729:2020, pembebanan gempa dan beban gravitasi berturut-turut mengacu pada SNI 1726:2019, dan SNI 1727:2020. Mutu baja digunakan BJ 41 dengan nilai Fu adalah 410 MPa dan Fy adalah 250 MPa. Mutu beton digunakan f’c adalah 35 MPa. Hasil analisis dari komponen struktur gedung Apartemen Rahayu diperoleh balok anak atap dan lantai menggunakan profil WF 450.300.11.18, balok induk atap dan lantai menggunakan profil WF 800.300.14.26, bresing menggunakan profil WF 300.300.9.14, kolom menggunakan profil HC 90.538.477.90.90 dan panjang komponen link 100 cm dengan menggunakan profil WF 800.300.14.26. Pondasi pada satu titik kolom menggunakan tiang pancang beton dimensi 45 cm x 45 cm sebanyak 6 buah dengan kedalaman 17 meter. Diperoleh nilai simpangan horisontal yang terjadi 32,20 mm, dan nilai tersebut lebih kecil dari batas simpangan ijin sebesar 80 mm, menunjukkan bahwa struktur gedung yang direncanakan mampu menahan beban gempa.KATA KUNCI : Gedung Struktur Baja, Gempa Tinggi, Kota Yogyakarta, Sistem Rangka Bresing Eksentrik, V – Brace
Representation of the Librarian in the Character of Urano Motosu in the Anime Ascendance af a Bookworm
Get PDFPurpose Research. The librarian profession has often been underestimated. Several studies regarding the media that represents librarians depict the profession negatively. Positive representation is needed to depict the ideal figure of a librarian to reduce the developing negative stereotypes of librarians. This research aims to identify the representation of librarians in the character Myne (Urano Motosu), the main character with a high librarian spirit who carries out her duties as a church librarian. Research Methods. The research method used is Roland Barthes' semiotics. Result. This research shows that Myne's appearance as a librarian uses a vintage style, no glasses, and half-space bun hair. Myne is described as having a superior character as a librarian and can represent the ideal librarian figure. Myne's librarian's weakness is that she has low social experience. However, over time, he was able to adapt and finally eliminate these shortcomings. Conclusions. Myne represents the ideal librarian so that librarians and librarian professional organizations can use her as a role model. Keywords: Representation; librarian; semiotics; anim
