    No full text
This study examines the phenomenon of domestic husbands in marriage in Singapore using the perspective of maqasid al-shari'ah, to understand the dilemma of the role of husbands in modern families. The main objective of this study is to explore the reasons behind the change in the role of the husband, who was previously the main breadwinner, to be the husband of the household, as well as how this relates to Islamic principles that emphasize family welfare. Through a quantitative and qualitative approach, this study analyzed interviews with several part-time and full-time working domestic husbands, as well as a survey that explored the social, economic, and cultural factors that influence these changes. The results of the study show that the role of the husband in the household not only includes financial responsibility, but also social, emotional, and spiritual aspects in shaping family well-being. In the perspective of maqasid al-shari'ah, the husband's responsibility is more than just financial support, but also includes the maintenance and protection of the family in various dimensions of life. This study provides new insights into understanding the role of domestic husbands in the context of modern families in Singapore, as well as the relevance of the application of maqasid al-shari'ah in the face of evolving social dynamics

    No full text
This research examines students' mistakes in solving mathematics story problems, especially algebraic arithmetic operation story problems, based on Kastolan theory and examines what factors cause students to make these mistakes. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The place where the research was carried out was SMP Negeri 6 Palu. The subjects taken in this research were class VII students at SMP Negeri 6 Palu, consisting of 1 student with several considerations obtained as students with low MH abilities. Before analyzing the data obtained, it is validated first using member check. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that subject MH made 3 types of errors based on Kastolan's theory, namely: Conceptual Errors in the form of the subject not being able to apply the formula, classifying the form of variables in solving the problem when using the formula that has been obtained, the subject not writing completely the information known in the problem and errors in substituting known information into the question. Procedural errors in the form of irregularity in the solution steps used by the subject, there are several steps that are skipped so that the solution becomes wrong until the final stage of solving the problem. Technical error in the form of Subject MH making an error in calculating the value in the arithmetic operation shown in the subject only dividing by 2 each solution to get the result of the question in the problem because the subject did not understand the formula to be used and was not correct in substituting the value in the problem into problem solving. The factors that cause errors made by students are divided into two, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors include low basic knowledge regarding the form of arithmetic operations, solving steps for story questions and low knowledge of algebraic material. Lack of practice working on questions in the form of story problems and students' lack of accuracy in solving story problems. The external factor is that students are in a hurry when completing story problems because they want to finish them immediately and go to do other activities with their friends

    No full text
Functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs) are disorders of the gastrointestinal tract without a clear structural or biochemical cause. FGIDs can interfere with a person's daily life. Several psychological conditions can cause FGIDs as psychosomatic disorders. Five factors are thought to affect a person's FGID condition, namely Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), life satisfaction, perceived stress, perceived social support, and religiosity. This study aims to analyze the determinants of FGID conditions and the role of religiosity as a moderator variable. This study used a quantitative approach with correlation methods. A total of 383 Indonesian Muslim students participated as respondents in this study. The instruments used in this study were the life satisfaction scale, perceived stress-10 scale, perceived social support multidimensional scale, GAD-7, Duke University Religion Index, and FGID scale. Research data were collected online from research respondents. Furthermore, the research data analysis technique used was partial structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of this study indicate that GAD, life satisfaction, and perceived stress are determinants of FGID conditions in Indonesian Muslim students. The results also show that religiosity acts as a moderator variable in the influence of GAD conditions on a person's FGID condition

The Dynamics of The Relationship between Religious Identity and Fundamentalism in Predicting Muslim Prejudice against Christian in Indonesia

    No full text
Many empirical studies have explored the relationship between religious identity, fundamentalism, and prejudice. However, very few investigations have been conducted into whether the relationship between fundamentalism and religious identity generates prejudice; this is because fundamentalism is often seen as a particular form of religious identity. This research positions religious identity and fundamentalism as two separate things, stemming from an awareness of contemporary developments that a fundamentalist does not always display “hard” or “extreme” expressions of religious identity. This study also analyzes the two within the context of a mutually explanative relationship (Religious identity → Fundamentalism, and Fundamentalism → Religious identity). 639 Islamic college students (372 males, 267 females) recruited with convenience sampling method participated in this study. Using a correlational design, the data were analyzed using hierarchical regression analysis to determine the role of gender, age, and religious fundamentalism in predicting prejudice. Furthermore, mediation analysis was carried out twice, by placing fundamentalism and religious identity, exchangeably, as mediating variables to predict prejudice. Results showed that (1) Age and gender did not significantly contribute to the prejudice. However, the prejudice can be predicted by religious identity and fundamentalism, (2) Fundamentalism is a mediator between religious identity and prejudice, (3) Religious identity is a mediator between fundamentalism and prejudice. This finding indicates that inter-religious prejudice can emerge as a reflection of both (1) fundamentalism through religious identity, as well as (2) religious identity through fundamentalism. The use of mediation analysis in this research sheds light on the complex interplay between religious identity, fundamentalism, and prejudice. It reveals that both fundamentalism and religious identity can mediate the relationship between each other and prejudice. This insight into the mediation processes can help researchers and policymakers better understand the mechanisms behind inter-religious prejudice

The development of prosocial behavior in early childhood is crucial as it shapes future character and social interactions. This study explores the influence of socio-economic status, parenting patterns, and self-control on children’s prosocial behavior based on the Pancasila student profile at PAUD institutions in Lampung Province. Employing an associative quantitative approach with path analysis, the study involved 400 group B students. Data was collected through questionnaires, with socio-economic and parenting sections completed by parents, and prosocial behavior assessed by teachers. The instrument was tested for validity and reliability empirically, with valid items further evaluated using Cronbach's Alpha. Analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential techniques with SmartPLS version 4. The findings reveal: (1) socio-economic status significantly affects parenting patterns, (2) socio-economic status directly influences self-control, (3) socio-economic status positively impacts prosocial behavior, (4) parenting patterns influence self-control, (5) parenting patterns directly affect prosocial behavior, and (6) self-control significantly impacts prosocial behavior. The study concludes that socio-economic status, parenting patterns, and self-control positively and directly shape prosocial behavior in alignment with the Pancasila student profile. Additionally, the indirect effect of socio-economic status on prosocial behavior through parenting patterns was found to be even more significant. These findings highlight the importance of fostering a supportive socio-economic environment, effective parenting, and strong self-control to nurture prosocial behavior in early childhood, contributing to the development of children who embody the values of the Pancasila student profile

Analysis of question items is very important in learning evaluation because it determines the quality of the evaluation tool used. The aim of this research is to analyze the results of the final semester Arabic evaluation at the Al-Ma’arif Junior High School. The researchers conducted a series of tests consisting of measurements of validity, reliability, differential strength, difficulty level, and debilitating power. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method.  The population of the study was 25 students of the 7th grade in the IT High School Building Amal School Year 2022/2023. As for the sample used, the final evaluation of the Arabic semester of the teaching year 2022/2023 was documentation and observation. The result of this study is; in the validity test found 30% of questions can be said to be valid. Then the remaining 70% is declared invalid because it has a significance value <0,05 and the value of R count is smaller than R Table. Then in the reliability test found using Cronbach's Alpha method, and the element of this question is worth 0.625 with the number of questions (N of items) amounting to 40. Difference shows 6 questions in the category "Bad once in distinction, 25 questions in category "badly once in differentiation", 6 issues in the categories "Sufficient enough in distinguishment", 3 questions with category "Good once in distinctness" whereas with the question of category "good once in discrimination" was not found. Difficulty level there are 25 questions with very easy questions category, 14 questions with easy categories, 1 questions with difficult categories. The fractional strength of the answer option A indicates that the question is not working well with the student as the data indicates more fractionals of the question are rejected than accepted. The same applies to options B, C, and D. Thus, a question that does not meet the revised criteria can be concluded or a new question created and tested again. This research can be used as evaluation material for teachers to create quality evaluation tools. Further research can focus on discussing the development of superior evaluation instruments
