EFL Learners’ Perception on The English Reading Instruction with Non Fiction English Texts: English
No full textThe present investigation was about to highlight whether the EFL learners had positive perception or not on English reading instruction with non fiction English texts. A design of experimental research which chiefly focused on the descritpive analysis was utilized. The sample was chosen purposively which it comprised of 17 male students and 15 female students of junior high school in Palembang. 10 question items were accordingly designed as a primary instrument in a close-ended questionnaire. However, there were twenty participants of which consisted of 5 male students and 15 female students filled out the questionnaire based on the time given. The research findings showcased that mostly the participants had positive responses (strongly agree and agree) due to the use of non fiction English text in English reading instruction. Thus, it could be concluded that the there was positive perception on the participants’ reading comprehension with integration of non fiction English text in English reading class

No full textstudy aims to investigate students' perceptions of YouTube on their speaking performance. The survey was used as a r This esearch methodology and qualitative approach to conduct a comprehensive and detailed investigation regarding the use of social media in students' speaking processes. This research involved 20 students registered in the English education study program at Muhammadiyah University, North Sumatra. The survey was designed using Google forms and then distributed via WhatsApp groups. Observable behavior and written or verbal statements from individuals provide descriptive data (Moleong, 2004). The themes raised are how speaking skills improve after using social media, preferences for social media for learning to speak, advantages and disadvantages of using social media for learning to speak. Research findings can be concluded from research findings on how students view the use of YouTube in speaking sessions. In the opinion of some students, networking is the main issue in using YouTube for academic purposes. Students can improve their speaking skills, especially those related to vocabulary and pronunciation, by watching YouTube.
 
Analyzing Grammatical Problems Faced by The Seventh Semester Students of Economic and Bussiness Faculty in Writing Abstract of Research: English
No full textThis paper analyzes grammatical problems that the Economic and Business Faculty's seventh-semester students run across. By using a descriptive qualitative methodology, the study concentrates on abstract texts taken from eight articles that are part of the JUMAD journal, a well-known publication among the faculty members of economics and business. By careful analysis, typical grammatical problems seen in these abstracts are found and examined. The results illuminated a number of linguistic flaws, including misspellings, inconsistent verb tenses, repetition, ambiguity, and poor word choice. For students, these grammatical problems are major obstacles to both academic writing proficiency and effective communication. Although verb tense irregularities throw off the flow of ideas, spelling mistakes diminish the professionalism and credibility of the texts. Readers find the material hard to understand because of repetitions and unclear meanings. Furthermore, poor word selections can cause confusion and information misinterpretation. In general, knowing the linguistic difficulties students encounter in academic writing situations depends on the recognition and examination of these grammatical issues
The Influence of Traditional Game Engklek on the Development of Numeracy Literacy in Batam Early Childhood Education Institutions
No full textThis research was conducted to significantly compare the ability to recognize numeracy literacy in children, between the group that learned with the traditional engklek game and the group that did not use engklek game, in group B at RA Miftahul Jannah Batam City during the 2023-2024 school year. Research Methods this is quantitative with an experimental approach. The population of this study was all group B children at RA Miftahul Jannah, Batam City, totaling 26 students. The sample was determined using random sampling. The sample in this study was group B1 children, totaling 13 children as the experiment group whose learning used the traditional game of engklek, and group B2 children totaling 13 children as the Kontrol group with conventional learning. Data on children's abilities in numeracy literacy were collected using observation techniques. Data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing are carried out in data analysis. Based on the research results, it is revealed that there is a significant influence of the traditional engklek game on the development of numeracy literacy in group B children at RA Miftahul Jannah, Batam City, which can be seen from group B1 children who learn using the traditional engklek game more quickly grasping the development of numeracy literacy compared to group B1 children. Experimental Learning Management to Improve Cognitive Aspects of Early Children with Kinesthetic Learning Style
No full textThis research aims to explore the management of experimental learning methods based on kinesthetic learning styles in early childhood at RA Raudhatul Ummah, Bekasi City. The research method used is qualitative, with the research object focusing on learning practices at the institution. The research results show that learning management is a necessity that requires the application of management principles, including planning, organizing, implementing and supervising. In addition, the experimental method has proven to be very effective in improving cognitive aspects for children with a kinesthetic learning style. Research recommendations include suggestions to the Head of RA Raudhatul Ummah to carry out assessments from parents through questionnaires regarding experimental method learning activities and ensuring children's comfort. Apart from that, it is recommended that teachers continue to innovate in creating more varied learning methods, especially for children with learning styles other than kinesthetic. This research contributes to a further understanding of the importance of managing experimental learning and adapting learning methods to kinesthetic learning styles to improve the cognitive aspects of early childhood. Hopefully, these findings can become the basis for developing more effective learning approaches in similar educational institutions
The Effect of Self-Efficacy on Digital Reading Platforms on Early Childhood English Language Development
No full textEarly childhood education is crucial in laying a solid foundation for children's language and literacy development. In an era where digital technology is increasingly pervasive in daily life, it is important to understand how digital reading platforms can influence young children's language development. This study aims to explore the relationship between children's self-efficacy in using digital reading platforms and their English language development. Qualitative research methods were employed, collecting data through participatory observation and interviews with parents and early childhood educators. The research sample consisted of 30 children (aged 4-6 years) who regularly use digital reading platforms in formal and informal learning environments. The results indicate a positive correlation between children's self-efficacy levels in digital reading platforms and their progress in understanding and using English. The practical implications of this research emphasize the importance of strengthening children's self-efficacy and selecting appropriate digital reading platforms to support young children's language and literacy development. This study provides valuable insights for educators, parents, and educational technology developers in designing effective learning strategies for young children in the digital age
The Influence of Technology and Parent Participation on Early Childhood Learning at Sirajul Ulum Kindergarten
No full textIn this digital era, the use of technology has become a significant topic in early childhood education, significantly impacting the learning process. This study analyzes the influence of technology and parental participation on early childhood education at RA Sirajul Ulum. Through a quantitative approach, this research explores the relationship between the use of technology, such as interactive learning applications, and the role of parents in guiding early childhood learning. The study population includes all early childhood students enrolled at RA Sirajul Ulum, with a sample taken from two groups: the intensive technology use group and the less intensive technology use group. The results of the study show that intensive use of technology among early childhood students is positively associated with increased motivation and participation in the learning process. Additionally, parental involvement in guiding technology use has enhanced children's understanding of the learning material. These findings provide deeper insights into how technology and parental participation can influence early childhood education at this institution, highlighting the importance of collaboration between technology and parental involvement to achieve optimal learning outcomes
Implementation of Working Mother Parenting in Shaping Early Childhood Independence
No full textEach parent certainly has a different application of parenting patterns in fostering independent behavior in children. The parenting patterns of working mothers and non-working mothers will certainly be different. One of the results of parenting patterns will be seen from children's independence when participating in school activities. This study was conducted to observe working mothers' parenting patterns in forming an attitude of independence in children at an early age. This research method uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The study was conducted at the RA Al-Istiqomah Institution, GSI, and involved five informants who were working mothers and guardians of children aged between 4 and 6 years. The results of this study indicate that the application of parenting patterns carried out by working mothers in forming the independence of early childhood children, namely: parents/working mothers are wise in implementing rules and appreciating good behavior, involving children in certain things, always being responsive to children's attitudes, always appreciating and respecting children's thoughts, feelings, involving children in decision making. Meanwhile, the independence reflected in children left by their mothers outside the home includes, the child's physical independence ability, the child's self-confidence, the child's sense of responsibility, the child's ability to be disciplined, ability to be good at socializing, being able to share, the child's emotional control develops very well and develops according to expectations

No full textIslamic education in its journey has experienced a lot of maturation and development until now. This is because it is heavily influenced by the thoughts of figures in implementing the existing learning systems in the educational institutions they develop. The thinking of educational figures is driven by the intersection between the sociocultural realities faced by these figures and the religious thoughts they adhere to, especially Islam. By using literary research methods, this research aims to identify tendencies in Islamic educational philosophy. The aim of this research is to explore the ideological construction of Muslim figures, especially Muslim philosophers, regarding education, because we know that education is the path to human development. The results of this research indicate that the influence of Islamic educational philosophy on the Islamic education model lies in the formation of subjects taught to students. Apart from that, Islamic educational philosophy also helps education find its identity, whether the educational institution adheres to a conservative mindset or a pragmatic and progressive mindset. This study can then also be used as a philosophical basis for every educational practitioner

This research aims to discuss hadiths that explain inclusive attitudes.The formal object in this research is the science of hadith, while the material object is the hadith about openness or tolerance narrated by Imam Muslim. Results of this researchis that the status of the hadith regarding an inclusive attitude of ṣahih quality with the qualification maqbul ma'mul bih for the experience of religious communities as a form of closeness. The conclusion of this research isMuslim historical hadiths are relevant to be used as a reference for the world of education in Indonesia towards inclusive and tolerant education.
