    No full text

    No full text
The rapid expansion of Indonesia’s financial technology sector has brought innovation as well as ethical challenges. Key problems include excessive interest rates, lack of transparency, misuse of personal data, and exclusion of marginalized groups. This study examines how the integration of religious moderation values and Islamic economic principles can offer an ethical framework for digital Islamic finance. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method based on literature analysis to explore five core values of moderation, namely i’tidal, tawassuth, tasamuh, ishlah, and i’tiraf bil 'urf (recognition of local wisdom). These are aligned with key Islamic economic principles such as tauhid, maslahah, justice, morality, freedom with responsibility, and wasatiyah. The findings indicate that moderation provides a macro-social ethical orientation, while Islamic economic values offer micro-level transactional guidance. Together, they support the development of a just, inclusive, and accountable digital financial ecosystem grounded in Islamic ethics

Recently, cases of crimes against children are increasingly widespread, often occurring in families committed by parents to children. This event when juxtaposed with the verses of the Qur'an which are very protective of children, will be very inversely proportional to the verses of the Qur'an. The existence of children in Islam is very protected and strengthened by verses of the Qur'an. The purpose of this research is expected to be an understanding for Muslims that children are noble creatures of God and have the same rights and opportunities as other humans. To compile this writing the author uses a library research approach, his research uses data sources of books, manuscripts, photos, and other documents. While the analysis uses a comparative descriptive method, descriptive to explain the terms related to the research and comparative to compare the two interpretations of Buya Hamka and Quraish Shihab. To study it, the author uses several verses to study the role of children in the Qur'an, including QS. (3):14, QS. (18):46, QS. (64):14, and QS. (25):74. Some of these verses are used to analyse the role of children which will later be analysed with the interpretation of the two mufassirs. This paper is expected to be a complement to previous knowledge, because there is no writing that examines the role of children by comparing two interpretations

    No full text
Religious discussions among previous socio-religious scholars used to focus more on authority, righteousness, commodification efforts, and the pursuit of financial gains by religious figures. However, this seems less relevant in today's digital age, where people can access and share religious knowledge from various sources. This article aims to explore this phenomenon by examining the approach of a da'wah influencer, Ayu Momalula. She presents counseling da'wah content as a form of self-expression, creating an ideal Muslim woman figure for her social media followers. Using an exploratory qualitative method and online ethnographic approach, primary data was obtained from interviews via WhatsApp and Zoom, as well as from observation of content on her Instagram accounts and books. The study argues that Ayu Momalula's counseling da'wah activities aim to establish herself as an ideal Muslim woman, supporting her authority as a religious micro-celebrity. The article analyzes her subjectivity as a Muslim women micro-celebrity, highlighting her representation of a pious wife and modern mompreneur through content visualization on social media. This study suggests that Ayu Momalula actively promotes productivity in both work and preaching to her specific target audience

Examining the Influence of Religious Awareness on the Level of Religious and Virtual Islamic Da’wah Content

    No full text
The research aimed to examine how religious awareness affects the level of religiosity, with virtual Islamic da’wah content as an intervening variable. Data was collected from respondents using a survey method, and path analysis was used to test the relationship between these variables. The results indicate that religious awareness does not have a direct significant influence on the level of religiosity, with a path coefficient of 0.363. However, religious awareness does significantly influence the content of virtual Islamic da’wah, with a path coefficient of 0.012. Interestingly, the content of virtual Islamic da’wah itself does not significantly affect the level of religiosity, with a path coefficient of 0.880. The analysis of the coefficient of determination (R Square) revealed that the religious awareness model could only explain 1.5% of the variation in the level of religiosity, while the model for virtual Islamic da’wah content could only explain 1.2% of the variation in the da’wah content itself. Additionally, the results of the Sobell test show that virtual Islamic da’wah content is not an intervening variable that significantly mediates the influence of religious awareness on the level of religiosity. The conclusion drawn from this research is that there are likely other factors outside the model that have a greater influence on a person’s level of religiosity. These findings suggest the need for further studies to explore other factors that can influence an individual’s level of religiosity, as well as the role of virtual Islamic da’wah content in different contexts

Religious Moderation in Digital Media Discourse: A Study of the nu.or.id Portal from the Perspective of Communicative Rationality

    No full text
The rise of popular Islamic media in the digital age has shifted the influence from traditional to popular religion, impacting society's mindset. Interestingly, the digital space is predominantly occupied by conservative and radical forms of Islam. In response, this study examines the strategies employed by moderate groups to promote religious moderation, particularly through the Islamic portal nu.or.id. This portal aims to provide reliable information about Nu-an and Islam. The study analyzes articles, concepts, and viewpoints published on the portal to evaluate their promotion of moderation. Jürgen Habermas' theory of communicative rationality is used to assess moderate tendencies, while essays on nu.or.id are evaluated based on truth, accuracy, and honesty. The study concludes that nu.or.id's efforts to promote religious moderation have a significant impact on filtering news content or thoughts that do not align with Islamic values. Writers consistently use logical and religious arguments to challenge the conservative-radical narrative of Islam. The strategy implemented by portals such as nu.or.id appears to resonate with middle-class Muslims, who are often targeted by fundamentalist groups. Therefore, targeting a general audience through nu.or.id is seen as a positive step

The low interest in student learning makes chemistry challenging to understand and affects expected student learning results. This research aims to develop an e-module based on a digital flipbook maker loaded with Chemo-Entrepreneurship (CEP) chemical bond material. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) type using a 4D development model. Product quality is evaluated using student responses and product quality assessment sheets. The results of the e-module assessment by material experts get an ideal percentage of 91.4% with a very good category, media experts 92% with a very good category, reviewers 91.3% with a very good category, and a positive response from students with a percentage of 93.3%. In light of the assessment results, the e-module developed can be utilized as another learning medium on chemical bond material to increase student learning interest. The results of this study imply that it can provide references for education in choosing learning media and strategies for delivering learning materials that are effective in increasing student interest. Furthermore, this can be used as a basis for further development to produce effective media and learning approaches

    No full text
The lack of religious education among students can influence their behavior and negatively impact the quality of their Qur’an recitation. Therefore, this study aims to explore the implementation of the Tilawati method in Qur’an learning for students. The research was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Asy'ari Keras Diwek, Jombang, using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The learning process focuses on two primary outcomes: enhancing students' character and improving their Qur’an reading skills. Over time, the madrasa aspires to equip students with essential life skills through Qur’an learning using the Tilawati method, recognizing it as a relevant and effective approach in 21st-century education. The findings reveal that Qur’an instruction using the Tilawati method follows several key stages. It begins with opening activities, such as reciting a prayer before the lesson. This is followed by the core learning activities, which include classical techniques such as the use of teaching aids, and the application of the rost rhythmic style. The session concludes with closing activities involving evaluation and the recitation of kafaratul majlis (closing prayer). The implication of this study underscores the importance of applying appropriate methods for teaching the Qur’an in madrasas to achieve both spiritual and educational development

    No full text
This article aims to answer about the role and obstacles faced by students in preventing and handling sexual violence in universities in Lampung. By using qualitative methods and a philosophical approach and cultural approach, it is known that Article 24 paragraph 3 and Article 27 (Permendikbud Number 30 of 2021 stipulate strict rules governing student participation in the prevention and handling of sexual violence (PPKS) in public universities. In religious universities, the involvement of students in the prevention and handling of sexual violence is regulated in the Decree of the Director General of Pendis Number 1143 of 2024 concerning PPKS Technical Guidelines at PTKI, chapter III letter B. Based on the interview techniques carried out, it is known about the obstacles faced in mainstreaming the role of students in PPKS. The implementation of student involvement in preventing and handling sexual violence in higher education is still limited to the process and mechanism of socialization and education. This means that legal awareness of the role mandated by legal regulations is only at the level of growing knowledge. On the other hand, university facilities and infrastructure also contribute to reducing the role of students in PPKS So that universities must continue to strive to optimize student involvement in various programs that support the mechanism for preventing and handling sexual violence and continue to fight for the presence of PPKS facilities and infrastructure to realize a college without sexual violence

    No full text
The issue related to the Massau’ Tradition is the lack of coordination between the regional government and the village government, resulting in the failure to socialize regional regulations on river management and utilization to the public. As a result, the Mandar people do not understand their rights, obligations, and prohibitions regarding river use, even though the Massau’ Tradition is closely linked to Islam, culture, and customs. Furthermore, the village government has not taken firm action against those who damage the environment around the river. This study aims to answer two questions: 1) How is the local wisdom of the Massau’ Tradition manifested by the Mandar Tribe? 2) What is the role of regional regulations in protecting the local wisdom of the Massau’ Tradition of the Mandar Tribe? The methods used are a legislative approach and legal sociology. The research results show that the local wisdom of the Massau’ Tradition in the Mandar Tribe is manifested through Panggaukang Ma’guna, Siola-ola, Pau Macoa, and Manjagai. The role of regional regulations in protecting this local wisdom is reflected in several aspects, such as the protection and management of the river environment, the Coastal Area and Small Island Zoning Plan, and the implementation of public order and tranquility by prioritizing customary and social norms, especially those that apply to the Mandar Tribe
