Implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program as a Social Transformation in Islamic Education at Elementary Schools
This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) in elementary schools as a form of social transformation within the context of Islamic education. Using a documentation study and literature review method, this research examines national policies, government institutional reports, and relevant academic studies related to the implementation of the MBG program. The findings indicate that MBG functions not only as a program to fulfill children’s nutritional needs but also as a means to improve educational quality, promote social equity, and strengthen Islamic character formation. Data from the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs (Kemenko PMK, 2025) show that the program has reached more than 650,000 children across 31 provinces, with a target of 15 million children by the end of the year. From the perspective of Islamic education, MBG aligns with the principles of hifz al-nafs (protection of life), maslahah (public benefit), and al-‘adl (social justice), which affirm the state’s responsibility for public welfare. The practice of communal eating in Islamic schools also serves as a means of character formation through the values of ta’awun (mutual help), rahmah (compassion), and tazkiyat al-nafs (purification of the soul). This study concludes that MBG is a strategic policy integrating nutritional, social, economic, and spiritual dimensions to develop a generation that is healthy, intelligent, and guided by Qur’anic ethics
Pengembangan Media Flashcard Dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Peserta Didik Kelas I di MI Ma’arif 01 Punggur
Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Melalui Metode Problem Based Learning Mata Pelajaran IPA Di Mi Al-Hidayah Bangli

The Formation Process of Arabic Slang in Modern Islamic Boarding Schools
Slang is a linguistic phenomenon that is closely related to the creativity of young people in language, the more difficult it is created, the more secret the communication used. Slang often appears in a large group to small groups, no exception in a group of young people in Islamic educational institutions that use Arabic as the language of instruction in everyday life, of course this is a major influence on the emergence of slang among students. This study aims to describe the process of Arabic slang word formation found in speakers in modern Islamic boarding schools and explore the function of Arabic slang in the pesantren environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through interviews and direct observations of santri who are designated as informants. The informants used in this study have specific requirements such as: 1) Is a student at the Modern Islamic Boarding School, 2) The source of research data is daily speech used by students in modern Islamic boarding schools, while the specific data is in the form of words. Data analysis is done through three stages, namely: (1) data reduction, (2) data classification and presentation, and (3) conclusion drawing. The results of the analysis are presented using informal and formal methods. The results show that Arabic slang words used by modern boarding school students include ordinary slang, acronyms, and abbreviations, with the formation process in the form of phoneme deletion, syllable deletion, phoneme addition, reversal, and deletion. These slang words function to facilitate pronunciation, express curses, express emotions such as anger, confusion, and surprise. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the formation process of Arabic slang in modern Islamic boarding schools, contributing to the understanding of linguistic creativity among youth in educational settings. The study is limited to a specific demographic (students aged 13-17 in modern Islamic boarding schools), which may not represent the broader Arabic-speaking youth population. For future researchers, it is hoped that they can find new slangs in other educational institutions, so that there are many variations of linguistic phenomena that can be studied and can be learned by the general public, so as to reduce misunderstandings of communication between teenagers in modern boarding schools and the community
Tāhlīl āl-ʻAnāṣīr ād-Dākhiliyyāh fīī Qāṣīdāh “Rīṡā’ āl-Bāṣrāh” lī-Ibnī ār-Rūmīy: Dīrāsāh Bunyāwīyyāh
Ibn al-Rumi is one of the prominent poets in the tradition of classical Arabic literature whose his works reflect the beauty of language as well as profound emotional expression. The qasidah Riṡā’ Al-Baṣrah is one of his significant works because it illustrates the social, political, and emotional conditions faced by the people of Basrah at that time. This study, titled "The Intrinsic Elements in the Qasidah Riṡā’ Al-Baṣrah by Ibn al-Rumi: A Structuralist Study," aims to identify the intrinsic elements contained within the qasidah. The analysis of the intrinsic elements in this qasidah not only provides insight into the aesthetic beauty of the literary work but also reveals a deeper understanding of the meanings embedded within it. The method used in this research is the descriptive analytical method, where the researcher describes and analyzes the intrinsic elements found in the qasidah through a structuralist approach. The findings of this study are as follows: 1) Theme: Collapse or downfall, 2) Emotions: The emotions expressed in the qasidah include sadness, pain, anger, confusion, fear, distress, regret, and anxiety, 3) Imagery: Depictions of the severity of trials and similar experiences,4) Literary devices used by the poet include tibaq (antithesis), muqabalah (contrast), iqtibas (allusion to other texts), and saja’ (rhymed prose). Thus, this research can serve as an important reference for the development of Arabic literary studies, particularly in linking between the intrinsic elements of a literary work. This study still has limitations, such as the lack of analysis of extrinsic elements, including the historical, social, and political contexts that influenced this work, as well as the insufficient discussion of its impact on the development of Arabic literature. For future research, it is recommended that studies not only focus on intrinsic elements but also examine extrinsic elements and their influence on the understanding of meaning in literary works, thereby providing a more comprehensive insight into the development and relevance of classical poetry in modern literary studies
Exploring Project-Based Learning’s Role in the Development of Arabic Students’ Speaking Skills through Experiential Learning Theory
Students of Arabic Language Education at State Institute for Islamic Studies of Kerinci often face difficulties in developing speaking skills, mainly due to traditional, teacher-centered methods that limit active participation. Project-Based Learning offers a more engaging approach, while Experiential Learning Theory helps explain how real-world learning experiences can improve students’ communicative competence. This study aims to analyze the role of Project-Based Learning in enhancing the speaking skills of Arabic language students at Kerinci through the lens of Experiential Learning Theory as developed by David Kolb. Employing a qualitative method with a case study design, the research was conducted within the context of Arabic language instruction. The study involves data collection through interviews, observations, and document analysis, followed by thematic analysis to explore the integration of Project-Based Learning and Experiential Learning Theory. The findings are interpreted using Kolb’s learning cycle to explore its role in the development of students’ Arabic speaking skills. The results show that the implementation of Project-Based Learning fosters active student participation in oral communication by creating a collaborative and reflective learning environment. In this context, Kolb’s experiential learning cycle comprising concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation was found to be organically integrated into the dynamics of the project, rendering the learning experience not only cognitively meaningful but also affectively and socially transformative. A novel contribution of this study lies in its identification of how students’ sense of ownership over the project process directly stimulates intrinsic motivation, speaking confidence, and academic resilience in the face of linguistic challenges. Furthermore, the integration of Project-Based Learning and Experiential Learning Theory was shown to promote the development of heightened metalinguistic awareness and to accelerate students’ identity shift from passive language users to active and reflective communicators. This study recommends the systematic implementation of Kolb-based Project-Based Learning within Arabic language curricula to support pedagogical transformation geared toward authentic, participatory, and sustainable communication
Exploring Arabic Reading and Speaking Skills through Picture Storybooks: Study Literature Review
The low proficiency in Arabic reading and speaking among students is often attributed to monotonous teaching methods and a lack of visual learning media. This study explores the pedagogical potential of picture storybooks as a multimodal solution to support Arabic language learning at the elementary and secondary levels. The research aims to analyze how picture storybooks influence vocabulary acquisition, sentence structure comprehension, reading literacy, and speaking fluency. Using a qualitative library research approach, data were gathered from peer-reviewed journals, books, and academic reports published within the last five years. The findings indicate that integrating visual and verbal elements through picture storybooks helps students understand vocabulary in context, builds confidence in speaking, and increases motivation to engage with reading. This approach supports key theories in language learning, including Dual Coding Theory, Multimodal Learning, Krashen’s Input Hypothesis, and Vygotsky’s Sociocultural Theory. All of which emphasize language learning as a meaning-focused, context-rich, and socially mediated process. The study concludes that picture storybooks serve as an effective instructional tool for Arabic language education by bridging cognitive, affective, and linguistic domains. It recommends further empirical studies in real classroom settings to evaluate the long-term impact of this medium across different learner profiles and proficiency levels
