Images of Palestina in the Poems Li-Bilādinā & Wa Lanā Bilād by Mahmoed Darwish
This research is motivated by the prolonged socio-political conflict experienced by the Palestinian people, which has resulted in displacement, loss of sovereignty, and humanitarian suffering. In this context, literature particularly poetry functions not only as an aesthetic expression but also as a medium of reflection and resistance against oppressive realities. This study aims to reveal the image of Palestine in the poems Li-Bilādinā and Wa Lanā Bilād by Mahmoed Darwish using Alan Swingewood’s sociological approach to literature. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a historical-sociological approach to examine the relationship between literary texts and the social, historical, and cultural contexts that underlie them. Data were collected through close reading and note-taking techniques, while data analysis was conducted through three stages: data reduction, comparison of poetic quotations and interpretations from relevant references, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Li-Bilādinā and Wa Lanā Bilād portray Palestine as a sacred yet oppressed land that has lost its sovereignty, identity, and living space due to colonization. In Li-Bilādinā, Palestine is depicted as a holy land marked by suffering, dispossession, and wounded identity, whereas Wa Lanā Bilād presents Palestine as an inner homeland and collective hope that survives in memory despite physical loss. Based on Alan Swingewood's sociological perspective on literature, these two poems reflect three main aspects of the socio-political reality of Palestine, namely territorial and sovereignty conflicts, humanitarian crises resulting from expulsion and violence, and economic crises as a result of structural colonization. Thus, this study confirms that Mahmoed Darwish's work is not merely an aesthetic expression, but a social document that raises awareness of the suffering and struggle of the Palestinian people and calls for the importance of global solidarity for justice and humanity. Therefore, this research contributes to the field of literary sociology by demonstrating the relevance of poetry as a medium for representing socio-political realities and by encouraging further studies on literary works from conflict zones using interdisciplinary perspectives

Overall, the program produced a significant positive impact and is expected to serve as a model for similar programs in other settings. Recommendations for program sustainability include continuous development, advanced training, community involvement, facility enhancement, and further research
Islamic Education Quality from an Islamic Perspective: An Analysis of Improvement Strategies
Global challenges and changes in social values require Islamic educational institutions to produce graduates with critical and creative thinking skills to compete amid the currents of modernization and digitalization. However, the quality of education is not measured solely by academic standards, but also by spiritual, moral, social, and managerial dimensions that reflect the unity of faith, knowledge, and charity. This study aims to analyze the concept of educational quality from an Islamic perspective and formulate a strategy for comprehensively improving the quality of Islamic educational institutions. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach based on library research, analyzing primary sources such as the Qur'an, hadith, and tafsir, as well as modern scientific literature on Islamic educational quality management. The results show that the quality of Islamic education is built on the principles of tauhid, amanah, adl, ihsan, and itqan, which guide all educational activities towards the formation of a perfect human being. Quality improvement strategies include strengthening teachers' competence and spirituality, curriculum innovation grounded in Islamic values and the needs of the times, implementing Islamic quality management, and the ethical use of digital technology. Thus, the quality of Islamic education is an integrative process that combines spiritual, professional, and adaptive dimensions to realize quality education, character, and global competitiveness
Post-Graduation Transitions of International Students in Taiwan: Barriers to Labour Market Integration
Taiwan has emerged as a regional education hub, drawing international students particularly from Southeast and South Asiathrough proactive recruitment and policy tools, such as the New Southbound Policy. After graduation, many of these students face substantial barriers to integrating into Taiwan’s labor market. This study particularly targets barriers to employment that international graduates face after completing their degrees, focusing on the prevailing work governance structures and systemic frameworks. This qualitative study, based on 20 in-depth interviews and policy analysis. Findings reveal that entrenched bureaucratic hurdles, racialized labor hierarchies, and structural discrimination inhibit international graduates’ access to meaningful employment. The study calls for policy realignments that reframe international graduates as long-term socio-economic assets, not transient learners
Mastering Arabic Grammar with Contemporary Learning Method on Mohamed Mekawy’s Channel
Learning nahwu (Arabic grammar) nowadays can be accessed on various digital platforms. One of them is Mohamed Mekawy's nahwu learning channel. Mohamed Mekawy provides nahwu learning materials and methods that anyone can master, from basic to advanced levels. Mekawy has an Arabic language learning institution called the Mekawy Academy, along with social media platform on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Telegram. This study aims to understand the learning activity and the method used in nahwu learning from Mohamed Mekawy's social media. This study uses the Krippendorf analysis method with a qualitative approach that includes 6 research steps, those are determining the research theme, determining data sampling, finding answers to the research questions, filtering the data, connecting the findings, and writing the research report. The results of the study show that Mekawy has a distinctive method in mastering nahwu, first is the choice of starting material by mu'rab and mabni or al-jumlah al-fi'liyyah and al-jumlah al-ismiyyah. Second are Maharah tafkīk which is the skill of breaking down a sentence into individual words and maharah taṣnif which is the skill of classifying words into isim, fi`il, or ḥarf. The last or third is the application of the analogy method. This research will provide new ideas in studying nahwu with new methods up to an advanced level. A recommended topic for future research is the creation of short videos to facilitate understanding of nahwu on social media, which can be studied using the research and development method to create the idea of using social media as media to learn nahwu
The Representation of Love in Nizar Qabbani's Poem "Uhibbuki Uhibbuki wal Baqiyatu Ta'ti": A Balāghah-Based Study of Kinayah
This study examines the use of indirect expressions in Nizar Qabbani’s poem “Uḥibbuki Uḥibbuki wal-Bāqiyātu Taʾtī” to uncover the multidimensional meanings of love conveyed through symbolic and figurative language. As a leading figure in modern Arabic poetry, Qabbani employs indirect expressions to represent emotional depth, psychological nuance, and humanistic values within the experience of love. This study aims to identify the types of indirect expressions used in the poem namely talwih, ta‘ridh, ramz, and ima’/isyarah and to analyze how these expressions articulate the dimensions of love proposed by Erich Fromm, including care, responsibility, respect, and knowledge. The scope of this study is limited to a stylistic and textual analysis of a single poem using the framework of balaghah and humanistic psychology. This research uses a qualitative content analysis method. The primary data consist of Qabbani’s poetic text, while the secondary data are drawn from scholarly works on balaghah, modern Arabic poetry, and Erich Fromm’s theory of love. Data collection was conducted through close reading and systematic note-taking, followed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that Qabbani’s indirect expressions form layered meanings of love that reflect Fromm’s concept of productive love. These expressions enhance the poem’s aesthetic quality while simultaneously deepening its psychological and humanistic resonance. This study contributes to the field of modern Arabic literary studies by integrating rhetorical analysis with psychological theory. Future research is encouraged to examine a broader corpus of Qabbani’s poetry, apply comparative approaches, or employ interdisciplinary perspectives to further explore representations of love in modern Arabic literature
Fa'āliyyah al-Faṣl ad-Dirāsī al-Maqlūb fī Taḥsīn Mahārat al-Kalām lit-Ṭullāb fī Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamiyyah Hukumiyyah Level
This study investigates the effectiveness of the Flipped Classroom model in enhancing Arabic speaking skills among eleventh-grade students at State Islamic Senior High School 1 Semarang. Given the critical importance of Arabic speaking skills for academic and professional success, despite the common challenges in acquiring these skills at the Madrasah Aliyah level, the study aims to assess the model's impact on pronunciation, intonation, fluency, vocabulary, and grammar. Employing a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-test/post-test procedure, 36 students participated, with 32 completing the study. Data were collected through oral performance tests and structured observations. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' Arabic speaking abilities, with the average total score rising from 14.59 in the pre-test to 17.75 in the post-test. Notable gains were observed across all evaluated areas, including pronunciation and intonation, fluency, vocabulary, and grammar. These findings suggest that the Flipped Classroom model effectively enhances speaking proficiency by promoting independent learning outside the classroom and facilitating active classroom interaction, thus improving students' readiness and confidence. This research contributes to foreign language education by demonstrating the positive impact of the Flipped Classroom model on language acquisition and offers valuable insights for educators seeking innovative teaching methods. Future research could explore the long-term effects of this model on other language skills and investigate the role of technological tools and online platforms in further enhancing language learning outcomes
Analysis of Systemic Violence and Social Inequality in The Purge (2013): A Marxist Theoretical Lens: Analisis Kekerasan Sistemik dan Kesenjangan Sosial dalam The Purge (2013): Lensa Teori Marxis
This study analyzes systemic violence and social inequality represented in James DeMonaco's film The Purge (2013) using a Marxist theoretical lens. This study focuses on analyzing the three main pillars of Marxist theory: class domination, class struggle, and alienation, as represented in the visual elements, narrative, and characters in the film. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a focus on content analysis. This study interprets the film using Marxist concepts and compares the findings with contemporary academic studies on cinema and cases of social inequality. The results of this study show that The Purge depicts how capitalist ideology legitimizes violence, how resistance emerges symbolically, and how alienation destroys social and psychological structures. This study argues that The Purge functions not only as a dystopian horror film, but also as a symbol of ideological criticism of the capitalist system, which is relevant to both global and local conditions. These findings highlight the role of film as a cultural medium in social criticism and reinforce the relevance of Marxist theory in analyzing social inequality in modern society
The Use of Sequence to Improve Students’ Writing Ability Narrative Text (Quasi-Experimental Research on Class VIII Students of SMPN 3 Metro)
Many students still face difficulties in generating ideas, organizing story sequences, and applying appropriate language features. This problem was also identified among eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Metro, where students’ writing performance was relatively low due to the use of conventional teaching methods and limited visual learning media. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of using image sequence media in improving students’ narrative writing ability. The research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest–posttest model. The participants consisted of 28 eighth-grade students. Data were collected through writing tests and documentation, and analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test and the Paired Sample T-Test. The results revealed that the mean pretest score of 40.07 significantly increased to 79.75 in the posttest, with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05). These findings indicate that the use of image sequence media has a significant positive effect on students’ narrative writing ability. The study demonstrates that image sequence media effectively assists students in developing ideas, organizing storylines, and improving the overall quality of their writing. Therefore, it can be concluded that image sequence media is an effective instructional strategy for teaching narrative writing at the junior high school level
