This study addresses the urgent concern in contemporary education regarding the weakening of student character due to the influence of external cultures and the growing tide of modernity that misaligns with Islamic values. In this context, the role of the murabbi becomes pivotal. The aim of this research is to analyze how teachers at SD Persatuan Islam (Persis) Karawang implement their role as murabbi in shaping students’ character based on Islamic educational philosophy. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving homeroom teachers, Islamic religious education teachers, principals, and purposively selected students. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model and verified through triangulation and credibility measures. The findings reveal that teachers consistently integrate Islamic values into the learning process and school life through exemplary conduct, value habituation, and spiritual mentoring. In conclusion, the holistic implementation of the murabbi role proves effective in fostering Islamic character among students and offers a replicable model for Islamic-based character education at the elementary level. This study contributes by offering a conceptual framework of the murabbi role rooted in Islamic educational philosophy and grounded in empirical findings from elementary school settings
The Relationship Between Outing Class Activities and Socio-Emotional Development in Early Childhood
Social-emotional development in early childhood is crucial for building interpersonal skills and emotional regulation. However, classroom activities often do not provide sufficient opportunities for children to effectively develop social skills. This study aims to explore the impact of outing class activities on the social-emotional development of early childhood children at TK IT Sakinah Sungai Rumbai. A qualitative approach was used with direct observations and interviews with teachers and the principal. The findings show that outing class activities have a positive impact on the development of self-awareness, responsibility, and prosocial behavior in children. Children showed improvement in emotion regulation, conflict resolution, and peer interactions. Although some negative emotions, such as impatience and conflicts, were observed, these activities provided opportunities for children to learn how to manage these challenges. This study recommends that outing class activities be an integral part of early childhood education curricula to support comprehensive social-emotional development

Traditional Practice of Bapanteh in Marriage in Traditional Society of Kerinci Dictrict: Victor Turners Symbolic Analysis
The Bapanteh tradition is a pre-wedding ritual practiced by the Hiang Village community in Sitinjau Laut District, Kerinci Regency. This tradition is not merely ceremonial, but reflects deep cultural values such as kinship, solidarity, and cultural preservation. This study seeks to investigate the symbolic meanings embedded in the Bapanteh tradition, explore the actual practices involved, and understand the reasons behind its preservation amidst modernization. Utilizing a qualitative research approach with Victor Turner’s symbolic analysis as the theoretical lens, data were collected through in-depth interviews with local elders, community members, and traditional leaders, as well as through participatory observation. Findings reveal that Bapanteh serves as a social mechanism to reinforce communal ties and express collective identity. It involves community cooperation in borrowing long batik cloths as symbolic offerings, which are then used to decorate the bride’s home, symbolizing interconnectedness among families. Although contemporary influences have led to adaptations such as reduced collective participation and the use of modern decorations, the symbolic essence of Bapanteh remains resilient. This study highlights the importance of preserving such traditions as they carry profound cultural meaning and serve as a unifying force in society. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the function of ritual and symbolism in maintaining cultural identity in an era of rapid social change.
The Practice of Nusyuz Among Tanjungbalai Tni from the Perspective of the Indonesian Ulama Council of Tanjungbalai (Case Study at Tni Lumba-Lumba Complex Tanjung Balai)
This study aims to examine the forms of behavior and factors that cause nusyuz among the TNI in the review of Islamic law as well as how the TNI Council's settlement mechanism for nusyuz behavior. The urgency of this problem lies in the complexity of TNI household relationships that often face challenges due to heavy military duties and have an impact on family harmony. Based on this background, this research uses a qualitative method with a legal sociology approach, where primary data is obtained through interviews while secondary data comes from Islamic legal literature and previous research results. The results show that the wife's disobedience in the TNI household does not necessarily make the wife immediately blamed, but it is necessary to first investigate the causes, including the possibility of the husband's actions triggering the disobedience. In the legal process, the wife's rights are still protected until the official divorce decision is issued. This research emphasizes that the concept of nusyuz in the context of the TNI requires a fair legal approach and clear procedures
Islamic Legal Review on Granting a Surname to an Illegitimate Child (Case Study in Pangururan Village, Sumbul District)
This study aims to examine the Islamic legal perspective on the practice of granting clan names to children born out of wedlock in Pangururan Village, Sumbul District. This phenomenon is noteworthy because the granting of a clan name is part of the Batak Toba tradition, which holds social, kinship, and identity values, while in Islamic law, the lineage of a child born out of wedlock is subject to specific regulations. The study employs a qualitative method with a case study approach, using in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the granting of a clan name to children born out of wedlock in Pangururan Village is carried out to preserve family dignity, strengthen social relations, and prevent discrimination against the child. However, from an Islamic legal perspective, the lineage of a child born out of wedlock can only be attributed to the mother and her family, not to the biological father or his family. Therefore, granting a clan name that implies lineage to the biological father is not in accordance with the principles of lineage in Islamic law. The study recommends dialogue between traditional leaders and local scholars to find solutions that respect cultural values while adhering to the provisions of Islamic law
Living Law and the Digitalization of Communal Intellectual Property: The Dialectic of Customary Law and the National Data Center
The digitization of Communal Intellectual Property (KIK) through the National Data Center is a strategic policy to prevent biopiracy and strengthen legal protection. However, this step presents a dilemma: providing formal legal certainty, but potentially shifting the living law that grows in the socio-cultural practices of indigenous communities. The objective and problem formulation are to analyze the interaction between the digitization of KIK and customary law, and to find solutions so that formal legal certainty can go hand in hand with the sustainability of living law. The theory and method used are Eugen Ehrlich's theory of living law, which emphasizes law as something alive in social interactions. The research method is a normative-critical approach with socio-legal analysis. The results show that the digitization of KIK is important for documentation and strengthening the legal position at the international level. However, there are risks of bureaucratization, homogenization, and state domination. Recommendations: build a community-based participatory system supported by blockchain technology, smart contracts, and recognition of customary law in national regulations
Reinterpreting Ikhtilat in Generation Z: A Review of Islamic Law on Pre-Wedding Photo Poses
The phenomenon of pre-wedding photography has now become a widespread social trend among Generation Z. However, this practice has sparked religious debate because it is considered to contain elements of ikhtilat, tabarruj, and khalwat which are prohibited in Islamic law. In relation to this, there has been no study on Gen Z's understanding of ikhtilat in the context of digital visual culture. This study aims to analyze Generation Z's understanding of the meaning of ikhtilat in pre-wedding photo poses and review the practice from an Islamic legal perspective and propose a form of reinterpretation of ikhtilat values that are relevant to the development of contemporary visual culture. The study used a qualitative method with a case approach and a conceptual approach, through interviews with five informants who had taken pre-wedding photos, and used social change theory and social fiqh theory as an analytical basis. The results show that Generation Z's understanding of ikhtilat varies, some understand it normatively as a form of violation of sharia, while others interpret it contextually as a negotiation of religious and cultural values. Recommendations for poses that do not ignore Islamic law, such as not being close to each other, holding hands, wearing modest clothing/covering the private parts, not looking at each other, and not showing other forms of intimacy
Jurimetric Analysis of Child Support Determination in Indonesian Islamic Family Courts
This study examines the judicial considerations in Decision Number 806/Pdt.G/2022/PA.Gdt regarding child support after divorce. Generally, court rulings in Indonesia have tended to stipulate a fixed amount of child support. However, in this decision, the judge implemented a progressive scheme for child support. The primary focus of this research is a jurimetric analysis of the judge’s reasoning in Decision Number 806/Pdt.G/2022/PA.Gdt. The objective of this study is to understand and analyze the jurimetric theory applied to the judge’s considerations in this decision concerning post-divorce child support. This research is a library study that applies jurimetric theory to analyze judicial decisions, with the primary data being the decision from the Gedong Tataan Religious Court, Decision Number 806/Pdt.G/2022/PA.Gdt. The data was analyzed to draw conclusions. The study concluded that the judicial reasoning in this case reflected a progressive approach to post-divorce child support, in line with jurimetric theory. The child support ordered in this decision increased annually, in accordance with the child’s age and evolving needs. This determination highlighted the importance of ensuring the child’s reasonable welfare, which needed to be carefully calculated based on both the father’s financial capacity and the child’s developmental needs. The recommendation of this study is for judges to use jurimetric theory when analyzing child support amounts post-divorce in order to achieve a just decision
Legal Protection for Consumers in the Pre-Order System in the Marketplace Related to Defaults Based on Indonesian Law Provisions
The development of e-commerce in Indonesia has changed people's shopping patterns to online, including a pre-order system that offers convenience for consumers without physical meetings. However, this convenience also poses risks, such as product non-conformity, fraud, and default from the seller. This study aims to analyze the form of legal protection for consumers in pre-order transactions in the marketplace based on the provisions of Indonesian law. The method used is normative juridical with a literature study approach, analyzing laws and regulations, legal literature, and court decisions related to electronic transactions and consumer protection. The results of the study show that electronic contracts on the marketplace are subject to the principle of pacta sunt servanda and the principle of engagement in the Civil Code, especially Articles 1320, 1338, 1457, and 1243 concerning default. The seller is obliged to fulfill the obligation to deliver the goods according to the agreement, and the consumer has the right to claim compensation in the form of costs, losses, and interest in the event of default. Consumer legal protection is strengthened by Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection, the ITE Law, and Government Regulation No. 71 of 2019. Thus, the electronic contract mechanism and existing legal regulations are the basis for enforcing consumer rights and ensuring the responsibility of business actors in online transactions. This research emphasizes the importance of consumer digital literacy as well as the fulfillment of sellers' obligations to minimize disputes and risks in online commerce
