Attitudes of others toward dress in the working scenes
pdfThe purpose of this study is to clarify the attitudes of others toward dress in the working scenes. An online questionnaire survey was conducted for men and women over the age of 18(n=249). The question items are “Comparison of dress and other appearance factors” and “Attitudes of others toward dress in the working scenes.” The main results were as follows: 1 ) Dress and hairstyles are more impressive than other appearance factors. 2 ) As a result of factor analysis of the answers to “Attitudes of others toward dress in the working scenes” (Promax rotation / maximum likelihood method), 4 factors were extracted. The factor name was “Formal attire,” “Wearing a suit for formal occasions,” “Impression management by dress,” “Clothing functionality,” The average value of the subscale scores was “Clothing functionality,” “Impression management by dress,” “Wearing a suit for formal occasions,” and “Formal attire” in descending order.departmental bulletin pape
Current Status of Basic Word Processing Skills of First-year Undergraduate Occupational Therapy Students
pdf文部科学省が策定した教育の情報化に関する手引きの中で、情報活用能力は新学習指導要領における学習の基盤となる資質や能力と位置づけられている。情報活用能力の中でもとりわけ基礎的なパソコン(PC)操作スキルの実態について、本学の保健医療学部作業療法学科初年次学生を対象に、ミニレポート課題を用いた客観的評価と質問紙による自己評価を行った。その結果、客観的評価では、過半数の学生が期待された得点を満たさず所用時間も超過していた。また、PC操作スキル項目ごとの得点分布状況から、多くの学生が遂行可能なスキルと、個人差が大きく学生によっては遂行困難なスキルに分かれることが示された。また、基礎的なPC操作スキルにおける客観的評価と自己評価にある程度の関連性が示された。入学時及び入学前準備期間から基礎的なPC操作スキルを身につける必要性が示唆された。departmental bulletin pape
Reading and writing attainment of Korean(L1)─Japanese(L2)bilingual children in Japanese: Using STRAW-R
pdf《目的》STRAW-Rを用いて韓国語と日本語のバイリンガル児童の読み書き到達度を検討し、検査適用可能性と適用する場合の留意点を検討することを目的とした。
《方法》日本語が母語のモノリンガル児童と、韓国語(L1)-日本語(L2)のバイリンガル児童にSTRAW-Rを実施し、学年ごとに群平均した課題成績をSTRAW-Rの基準値と比較した。
《結果》多くの課題で、バイリンガル群の成績はSTRAW-Rの基準値の平均範囲内であった。また、一部の課題を除いてバイリンガル群とモノリンガル群の成績に有意差はみられなかった。
《結論》STRAW-Rは、韓国語をL1とするバイリンガル児童に適用可能と考えられた。しかし、言語環境要因によるものか、発達性読み書き障害なのかを判断することは難しく、検査結果を解釈する際には、言語環境要因や読み書きの習得に関わる認知機能を合わせて検討する必要があると考えられた。Objective:The purpose of this study was to examine the reading and writing attainment of Korean –Japanese bilingual children using STRAW-R which is a Japanese reading and writing test, and to examine the applicability of the test and points to keep in mind when applying it.
Methods:We conducted STRAW-R for monolingual children whose mother tongue Japanese and bilingual children whose mother tongue is Korean. Mean performance of each group per task and grade was compared with the standard performance of Japanese monolinguals which was obtained from STRAW-R.
Results:For many tasks in each grade, mean performance of the bilingual group was within the average range defined in STRAW-R. Also, the U test revealed no significant difference between performances of the bilingual group and those of the monolingual group on almost all tests.
Conclusion:Following the results, it is likely possible to apply STRAW-R to bilingual children whose L1 is Korean language. However, it is difficult to determine whether this low reading and writing attainment is due to language environmental factors or developmental dyslexia. Therefore, we suppose that it is necessary to interpret test results with the consideration of cognitive abilities relating to reading/writing acquisition as well as language environmental factors.departmental bulletin pape

Changes in the core flexibility and balance function of elderly individuals who have integrated the prone position into their daily lives for six months
pdf《目的》6か月間日常生活に腹臥位を取り入れた高齢者の体幹柔軟性・バランス機能の変化について明らかにする。
《方法》関東近郊のシルバー人材センターに登録している高齢者19名を対象に、1群事前事後テストを実施した。各自が自宅で週3回以上1日1回15~30分腹臥位を実施し、月1回同センター内の活動室で長座位体幹前屈とファンクショナルリーチテストを測定後、15分間腹臥位を実施し終了後再度測定した。腹臥位開始時と6か月後の腹臥位前後のデータをSPSS Ver20を用いてWilcoxon符号付順位検定を行い比較した。
《結果》腹臥位開始時と6か月後ともに、腹臥位前後の比較では長座位体幹前屈とファンクショナルリーチテストともに有意な増加がみられた。6か月の比較では統計学的な有意差はみられなかったが減少傾向はみられなかった。
《結論》高齢者の日常生活に腹臥位を継続的に組み込むことは、体幹柔軟性やバランス機能の維持・改善につながる可能性があることが示唆された。Objective:This study aimed to identify changes in the trunk flexibility and balance function of elderly individuals who have integrated the prone position into their daily lives for six months.
Methods:A pretest and posttest were conducted on one group of 19 elderly people registered at the Silver Human Resources Center in the Kanto area. Each person performed the prone position at home at least three times a week or more once daily for 15–30 min. The long seated forward bend and the Functional Reach Test score were measured in the activity room of the center once a month; then, the prone position was performed for 15 min, and measurements were obtained again. The data collected in the prone position at the initiation and after six months were compared by Wilcoxon’s signed rank test using SPSS version 20.
Results:The comparison before and after performing the prone position showed a significant increase in the long seated forward bend and the Functional Reach Test score when the prone position was initiated and after six months. The scores between the start of the prone position and after 6 months did not show statistically significant difference, and there was also no decreasing tendency.
Conclusion:The continuous integration of the prone position into the daily lives of elderly people may lead to the maintenance and improvement of trunk flexibility and balance function.departmental bulletin pape
