    A team of 14 from Gardner-Webb University spent their fall break scooping ice cream, serving food, and giving hugs and high fives at Give Kids the World Village (GKTW) in Orlando, Fla. This 84-acre, non-profit resort serves children with a critical illness and their families.     Gardner-Webb Mission Team Provides Medical Care for Refugees in Athens, Greece

    A team consisting of two Gardner-Webb University faculty members and seven students traveled to Athens, Greece, to provide medical care for refugees from the surrounding area. For eight days in May 2023, the GWU mission team collaborated with local missionaries to help and encourage the people in need of care.     Students Invited to Participate in Mission Trips Across the U.S. and in Southern Africa

    The five mission trips planned by the Office of Christian Life and Service for 2023-2024 offer a variety of opportunities from construction and medical assistance to making children with a critical illness smile. Students can also choose from trips in the United States or travel to Eswatini (Swaziland) in Southern Africa. Costs are estimates only and may be adjusted if lower rates become available.
