    The Power of Sholawat: Music, Devotion, and Islamic Authority in Indonesia

    This article examines the interplay between religious authority and culture through the lens of sholawat in Indonesia—an event characterized by a fusion of musical and oratorical performances among devout Muslims. Drawing on fieldwork conducted in Yogyakarta, Central Java, I demonstrate how institutions and individuals strategically employ artistic expression to mediate both contemporary and historical religious discourses in public life. By exploring sholawat, one gains insight into a facet of modern Islam that is highly accessible, festive, and inclusive of a broad and diverse audience. Within these performances, religious authority is subtly legitimized through what I term a “religious culture of play” embedded in everyday life. Employing Paul Ricoeur’s analysis of enunciative and institutional authority alongside Hans-Georg Gadamer's concept of play, I examine how and why Indonesia’s distinctive Islamic tradition—commonly known as Islam Nusantara—offers a compelling model for the contemporary Islamic world. The article begins by outlining the structure of a sholawat event and the key individuals and institutions involved in its organization. It then engages with theoretical perspectives on religious authority, considering their relevance within Indonesia’s internal Islamic dynamics.     Local content in an education unit is a set of plans and arrangements regarding the objectives, content and learning materials prepared by the education unit by considering the surrounding potential so that the vision and mission of the education unit can be achieved. So in this case, an education unit is required to plan, organize, carry out matters related to local content and evaluate so that the achievement of learning can be maximized. Through the learning of local content of work skills, it is expected that students not only gain global academic knowledge, but also have concern for the social and cultural values that exist around them. In addition, the purpose of this learning is to equip the generation with life skills, so that students can adapt to society and compete in the world of work.   This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, which aims to describe, explain, and reveal the results regarding the management of new student admissions. The data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. The techniques used are 1) observation 2) triangulation and 3) data checking. The results of research by researchers related to the application of work skills-based local content curriculum at MA Al - Ihsan Kalikejambon Tembelang Jombang are: 1) Planning local content curriculum work skills in accordance with the vision, mission, and objectives of the madrasah. 2) Curriculum organization which begins with curriculum mapping, schedule preparation based on the academic calendar, division of teaching duties, and arrangement of teaching hours through the selection process. 3) Implementation of the curriculum for the work skills program at MA Al-Ihsan emphasizes more on direct practical activities after the delivery of material. 4) Curriculum evaluation activities include evaluation of students and educators

    This article discusses the influence of constitutional law in the formation of state policy, with a focus on the application of values ​​contained in the Qur'an. This study examines how the principles of the Qur'an, such as amanah, justice, and deliberation, can be integrated into the framework of modern constitutional law to create public policies that are fair and beneficial to society. The principle of amanah teaches that power must be used with full responsibility and trust from the people, while the principle of justice demands policies that serve all levels of society equally and without discrimination. In addition, the application of deliberation, as taught in QS. Ash-Shura: 38, reinforces the importance of people's participation in the decision-making process. This article also highlights the challenges in implementing these principles, such as political pressure and conflicts of interest, as well as the importance of maintaining integrity and transparency in public policy. By integrating the values ​​of the Qur'an, it is hoped that leaders can make policies that are not only legally valid, but also ethical and reflect social justice. Through this study, it is hoped that a deeper understanding of the relationship between constitutional law, public policy, and the values ​​of the Qur'an can encourage the creation of a more trustworthy, just, and welfare-oriented government. This article aims to provide guidance for policy makers in formulating policies that are in line with Islamic moral and legal principles

    This research aims to explore and analyze the integration of Andragogy principles in the development of maharah qiro'ah at LPBA MASA Surabaya. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a focus on innovative approaches to learning Arabic. Research participants consisted of students and lecturers who were involved in developing maharah qiro'ah at LPBA. Data was collected through classroom observations, interviews with instructors, and student questionnaires. Research findings show that integrating the principles of Andragogy in the development of maharah qiro'ah makes a significant contribution in creating relevant and effective learning experiences for students. The use of Andragogy principles allows teachers to pay more attention to the independence, experience and learning needs of adult students in developing the ability to read Arabic texts. Challenges in integrating the principles of Andragogy include a lack of appropriate resources and a paradigm shift in learning approaches. However, the potential and benefits are enormous, including improving the quality of Arabic language learning and student motivation in deepening maharah qiro'ah. Recommendations include training and professional development for faculty, increasing access to resources, and developing curricula that are oriented to the learning needs of adult students. This research provides valuable insights for the development of Arabic language learning practices in similar educational institutions.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan menganalisis pengintegrasian asas Andragogi dalam pengembangan maharah qiro'ah di LPBA MASA Surabaya. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan fokus pada pendekatan inovatif pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari mahasiswa dan pengajar yang terlibat dalam pengembangan maharah qiro'ah di LPBA. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas, wawancara dengan pengajar, dan kuesioner mahasiswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengintegrasian asas Andragogi dalam pengembangan maharah qiro'ah memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam menciptakan pengalaman pembelajaran yang relevan dan efektif bagi mahasiswa. Penggunaan prinsip-prinsip Andragogi memungkinkan pengajar untuk lebih memperhatikan kemandirian, pengalaman, dan kebutuhan belajar mahasiswa dewasa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan membaca teks bahasa Arab. Tantangan dalam pengintegrasian asas Andragogi meliputi kurangnya sumber daya yang sesuai dan perubahan paradigma dalam pendekatan pembelajaran. Namun, potensi dan manfaatnya sangatlah besar, termasuk peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran bahasa Arab dan motivasi mahasiswa dalam memperdalam maharah qiro'ah. Rekomendasi meliputi pelatihan dan pengembangan profesional bagi pengajar, peningkatan akses terhadap sumber daya, dan pengembangan kurikulum yang berorientasi pada kebutuhan belajar mahasiswa dewasa. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga untuk pengembangan praktik pembelajaran bahasa Arab di lembaga pendidikan serupa

    The Effectiveness of The Application Wordwall Learning Media In Improving The Ability of Writing Official Letters In Indonesian Learning For Students VII Class SMP Negeri 13 Kota Bengkulu

    This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application wordwall media in improving the ability to write official letters in Indonesian language learning for seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 13 Kota Bengkulu. This research uses quantitative research with a quasi-experiment method. The population in this study were all seventh-grade students, while the samples were from VII A and VII B classes consisting of control and experimental classes. Techniques for collecting data are observation, instrument tests, and documentation. The results of the study The ability to write official letters of VII grade students at SMP Negeri 13 Bengkulu City from the results of the study is the average percentage of the experimental class 79.48%. Meanwhile, the average percentage of the control class is 69.64%. Judging from the posttest value for each indicator varies where there are four indicators. For the effectiveness of the application of Wordwall learning media in improving the ability to write official letters from the data value sign. 0.05 (0.000<0.05), then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.

    Social Criticism in The Novel “Teruslah Bodoh, Jangan Pintar” by Tere Liye (Sociological Study of Literature)

    This study aims to analyze social criticism in the novel "Teruslah Bodoh Jangan Pintar" by Tere Liye. Specifically, this study attempts to (1) identify the forms of social criticism contained in the novel, (2) understand the process of social criticism in the context of the story, and (3) examine the benefits of social criticism for society, as reflected in the novel. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a sociological literary approach and Abrams' mimetic theory to analyze social criticism in the novel "Teruslah Bodoh Jangan Pintar" by Tere Liye. Research data in the form of quotations and dialogues in the novel are analyzed repeatedly to identify the forms of social criticism contained therein. The results of the study show that this novel contains 54 quotations of social criticism covering various aspects of people's lives, such as economics (17 quotations), politics (14 quotations), the environment (11 quotations), and human rights (12 quotations). This social criticism aims to reveal injustice and inequality in society, as well as encourage change for the better. This study concludes that the novel "Teruslah Bodoh Jangan Pintar" by Tere Liye provides benefits for readers to think critically, develop empathy, and be inspired to make social changes

    This study aims to identify the strategies used by Indonesian language teachers in the learning process to enhance the interest in learning Indonesian among eighth-grade students at SMP IT As Syakur, Bengkulu City, and how the interest of eighth-grade students at SMP IT As Syakur, Bengkulu City, in learning Indonesian. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. The location of this research is at SMP IT As Syakur in Bengkulu City. Using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research results, the strategy for teaching Indonesian to increase students' interest in learning at SMP IT As Syakur in Bengkulu City is by using discussion methods, providing motivation, learning evaluations, and quizzes. The interest of eighth-grade students at SMP IT As Syakur in Bengkulu City towards learning Indonesian is quite high, as evidenced by four indicators of interest: feelings of happiness, student interest, student attention, and student involvement in learning activities

    The Impact of Hate Speech on The Halilintar Family's Self-Concept on Instagram Comment Section

    Hate speech is commonly found in social media comment sections. For recipients of hate speech, it has an impact in the form of a response known as self-concept. The aim of this study is to describe (1) the form of hate speech and (2) the self-concept of the Halilintar family after receiving hate speech in the instagram comment section. This research approach is descriptive qualitative. The data source of this research is the Halilintar family's instagram comment column. The data are in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences in the Halilintar family's instagram comment section that contain hate speech and self-concept. Data collection uses documentation, download, and observation techniques. Data analysis uses descriptive techniques. The data analysis procedure consists of data reduction, data presentation, interpretation, and conclusions. Data validity uses triangulation of theory and method. The results of this study include (1) forms of hate speech in the comment section of the Halilintar family's Instagram, in the form of false or fake news (hoaxes), incitement, threats, defamation, slander, and insults; (2) self-concept in the form of positive self-concept and negative self-concept

    Language is the main means of communication in human life in this world, whether in writing, orally, or only in the form of certain symbols. Language acquisition takes place in the brain when acquiring the first language or mother tongue. People can experience difficulties in acquiring language due to several things, one of which is in children with special needs, namely autism. This study aims to obtain the results of language acquisition by using pop-up books as media for autistic children in SLB Mutiara Kasih Plehaman Kediri. The benefit of this research is to find out the language acquisition spoken by autistic children using pop-up book media. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to identify the speech acquisition of autistic childrenusing pop-up books. The source of data in this study is mild autistic students at SLB Mutiara Kasih Plemahan Kediri. Data collection was done by observation, object determination, recording, data transcription, data identification, and codification.     PT. XYZ merupakan salah satu produsen gula yang beroperasi di tanah air. Hasil pengamatan terhadap mesin-mesin di perusahaan ini menunjukkan adanya penurunan performa pada mesin reverse osmosis (RO) yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan air bersih yang diperlukan dalam berbagai tahap proses produksi gula dan boiler. Hal ini dapat mengganggu proses pembuatan energi dan menghentikan produksi gula. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai kinerja dan efisiensi mesin reverse osmosis tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) melalui pengukuran nilai Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan pada bulan Juli sampai Desember 2024, untuk nilai Availability Rate = 99,8%, Performance Rate = 80% dan Quality Rate = 99,5%, maka diketahu presentase nilai Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) mesin Reverse Osmosis memiliki rata-rata sebesar 80%, masih dibawah standart Word Class yaitu 85%, dari hasil tersebut menunjukan Performance Rate menjadi factor terbesar penyebab menurunya kinerja mesin reverse osmosis
