Eksplorasi Etnomatematika Pada Motif Kain Tenun Nosu (Kabupaten Mamasa) Dengan Konsep Geometri Bangun Datar
Get PDFPenelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengeksplor etnomatematika pada motif kain tenun Nosu (Kabupaten Mamasa) dengan konsep geometri bangun datar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi dan desain penelitian kualitatif interaktif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah penenun, tokoh adat, budayawan, masyarakat dan guru matematika di kecamatan Nosu, kabupaten Mamasa. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama tiga minggu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data model interaktif yang dikemukakan oleh Miles dan Huberman, yaitu reduksi data, display data (penyajian data), dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penggunaan konsep geometri bangun datar motif kain tenun Nosu menggunakan konsep geometri bangun datar seperti segitiga, persegi, belah ketupat, persegi panjang dan segi enam. Penggunaan konsep geometri bangun datar tersebut digunakan pada motif pa’ lulun paku, sora-sora, bunga, pamaling, deppa-deppa, lola, dan doke. Makna penggunaan motif kain tenun Nosu memiliki makna yang terinspirasi dari kehidupan, kepercayaan, harapan, kebiasaan dan pandangan masyarakat Nosu.

ANALISIS PENGARUH KETERSEDIAAN FASILITAS PEMBELAJARAN TERHADAP MOTIVASI DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV DI UPT SD NEGERI 17 SA’DAN KABUPATEN TORAJA UTARA
Get PDFPenelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ketersediaan fasilitas pembelajaran terhadap motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas IV di UPT SD Negeri 17 Sa’dan Kabupaten Toraja Utara. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasi dengan desain penelitian yang menggambarkan hubungan antara variabel atau beberapa variabel yaitu variabel bebas dan variabel terikat. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV sebanyak 16 orang. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 4 hari. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi, Angket, dan dokumentasi yang dianalisis dengan mengunakan SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian untuk hipotesis pertama menunjukkan bahwa tidak tidak terdapat pengaruh ketersediaan fasilitias pembelajaran terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas IV di UPT SD Negeri 17 Sa’dan Kabupaten Toraja Utara. Hal ini dapat dilihat berdasarkan hasil analisis uji korelasi pearson yang diperoleh 0,234 dan menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,384. Sedangkan untuk hipotesis yang kedua menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh ketersediaan fasilitas pembelajaran terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas IV di UPT SD Negeri 17 Sa’dan Kabupaten Toraja Utara. Hal ini dapat dilihat berdasarkan hasil analisis uji korelasi pearson yang diperoleh sebesar 0,531 dan menunjukkan hasil signifikansi sebesar 0,034
UNVEILING THE EFFICACY OF VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON PRESENTATIONS IN DELIVERING TEACHING MATERIAL: AN ANALYSIS ACROSS TRADITIONAL CLASSROOM AND ONLINE LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS
Get PDFThis study discusses the perspectives of lecturers in the Mandarin for Business Communication and Professional Department at Bosowa University on the effectiveness of both virtual and in-person presentations in the context of online and traditional classroom environments. The research explores their perceptions, experiences, and strategies as they integrate virtual presentations into their teaching methods during the start of the semester in 2023, while also investigating their readiness to adapt to different instructional approaches, including the potential transition to fully offline classes. Findings highlight the advantages of virtual presentations, such as the use of multimedia tools and digital resources to enhance the learning experience and accommodate diverse learning styles, as well as the convenience of recorded lectures for self-paced learning. Conversely, the study underscores the benefits of face-to-face interactions, fostering dynamic and spontaneous engagement, particularly in facilitating hands-on learning experiences and group activities. Technical challenges in virtual presentations and assessing student comprehension were identified as areas requiring attention. The study emphasizes the need for educators to adapt teaching strategies to capitalize on the unique strengths of each method and proposes instructional approaches, such as flipped learning, to optimize student engagement and participation in both virtual and traditional presentations. SCHOOL LIBRARY SERVICES AT UPT SMA NEGERI 5 ENREKANG DURING THE PANDEMIC PERIOD
Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to determine library services in this case circulation services, reference services, on-site reading services and ICT-based services as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in school library services. This research approach is qualitative with a type of description. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview, observation and documentations. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data is done by trianggulation technique. The reserch results showed that : 1) the circulation service has a collection of 19,839 books, but does not yet have a non-book collection such as tape recorders, sound slides, video cassettes, sound films and many more. The system used in this library is an open service system. 2) The reference service has 587 collections consisting of dictionaries, encyclopedias, maps and others. In this service, users can obtain information and assistance regarding the existence of the collection needed. 3) on-site reading services, in this service the library provides 6 reading tebles placed in several corners of the room so that students get good lighting and air circulation. Howefer, this service is currently unvailable because students rarely use it. 4) ICT-based services, in the SMA Negeri 5 Enrekang library this service is not yet available because officers are still in the stage of entering library materials into the library application. While the supporting factors for library services are the personnel or the staff themselves, staff commitment and adequate books. While the inhibiting factors are the library collections which are still in hard copy form, lack of student interest and limited staff/librarians
THE ANALYSIS OF SYNTACTIC ERRORS IN STUDENTS’ EXPOSITION WRITING OF CLASS X AT SMA YAPIP SUNGGUMINASA IN GOWA REGENCY
Get PDFThe research objectives are: (i) to describe phrase errors found in students’ expository writing of class X at SMA YAPIP Sungguminasa in Gowa Regency; and (ii) to describe sentence errors found in students’ expository writing of class X at SMA YAPIP Sungguminasa in Gowa Regency. The study used a qualitative descriptive design. Data collection techniques are techniques to read, take notes, and interview teachers and students. Data were analyzed by identifying, classifying, explaining, and evaluating. Penggunaan Sistem Poin Partisipasi untuk Kemampuan Berbicara Siswa pada Siswa Kelas Delapan SMPN 8 Makassar

This research aimed at finding out the students’ speaking ability before and after using participation point system method in teaching speaking. The independent variable was using participation point system method and the dependent variable was students’ speaking achievement. The sample of the research were 36 students of class VIII6 at SMPN 8 Makassar in the second semester academic year 2021/2022. The design of this research was quantitative design and the method used in this research was pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest research.The result of the research showed that there was a difference between pre-test and post-test score of the students. Theaverage score of pre-test was 48,78 and the average score of post-test was 86,11. Based on the result can be seen that after the researcher gave treatment in post-test was higher than pre-test. Therefore, participation point system becomes an appropriate method in teaching speaking of class VIII6 at SMPN 8 Makassar.

USING JEOPARDY GAME TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION OF THE EIGHTH GRADE IN UPT SPF SMP NEGERI 35 MAKASSAR
Get PDFThis research aimed to determine the use of Jeopardy Game learning media on Reading Comprehension Skills of Narrative Text by Eighth Grade students of UPT SPF SMP Negeri 35 Makassar. This research focused on quantitative experimental research. The population of this research was students of class VIII UPT SPF SMP Negeri 35 Makassar, totaling 282 students. Random Sampling technique was used to one class as research sample, which consisted of 28 students. The data were obtained from written tests related to reading comprehension on narrative text. The results of this study used inferential analysis of the t-test by SPSS v.16 which showed a significant effect on the students’ mean score of Reading Comprehension skill between the pretest and post-test. The mean score of the students’ Reading Comprehension on Nrrative Text enhanced from 3.39 in the pretest to 6.46 in the posttest. The significance value calculated 0.000 is smaller than 0.05 (P-value = 0.000 < 0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that Jeopardy Game learning media is effect applied to students’ Reading Comprehension skill on Narrative Text in class VIII at UPT SPF SMP Negeri 35 Makassar.
 
PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN ROLE PLAYING DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA UPT SPF SD INPRES LAE-LAE I KOTA MAKASSAR
Get PDFPenelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran role playing dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa UPT SPF SD Inpres Lae-Lae I Kota Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain penelitian One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, yaitu memberikan tes sebelum adanya perlakuan, kemudian memberikan tes setelah adanya perlakuan dengan menggunakan model Role Playing. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V sebanyak 35 orang. Penelitian dilaksanakan sebanyak tiga kali pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dan tes yang dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran role playing dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa UPT SPF SD Inpres Lae-Lae I Kota Makassar. Hal ini dapat dilihat berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh rata-rata nilai sebelum diberi perlakuan role playing soal pretest rendah dan setelah diberi perlakuan role playing soal posttest meningkat. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran role playing dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa UPT SPF SD Inpres Lae-Lae I Kota Makassar
PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROJECT BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENULIS SISWA KELAS III UPT SPF SD INPRES PACCERAKANG KOTA MAKASSAR
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran project based learning terhadap keterampilan menulis siswa kelas III UPT SPF SD Inpres Paccerakkang Kota Makassar. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, sedangkan jenis penilitian adalah pra-eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Variabel terikat yaitu keterampilan menulis dan variabel bebas yaitu project based learning. Sampel penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas III.C SD Inpres Paccerakkang yang berjumlah 25 siswa. Instrument yang digunakan adalah tes dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis inferensial pada uji t. hasil penelitian ditunjukkan dengan nilai mean pretest keterampilan menulis sebesar 36,8 dan mean posttest sebesar 82,4. Berdasarkan analisis inferensial pada uji t menunjukkan nilai thitung ttabel atau 13,94 1,711 sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan menggunakan project based learning terhadap keterampilan menulis siswa kelas III UPT SPF SD Inpres Paccerakkang
