THE CORRELATION AMONG RELIGIOUS TOURISM, FOREIGN LANGUAGE USAGE, AND TOURIST MOTIVATION AT BUNDA BEACH AND RESORTÂ
This research examines the correlation among religious tourism, the use of foreign languages, and tourist motivation at Bunda Beach and Resort. The background of this research highlights the importance of information in foreign languages in religious tourism destinations which can influence tourists' experiences and motivation. The aim of this research is to understand the dynamics and factors that influence religious tourism, especially the use of Latin at Bunda Beach and Resort. The research method used is a mixed method, with data collection through questionnaires and interviews. The research results show that the use of Latin at Bunda Beach and Resort is not the main factor that attracts tourists. The main motivation of tourists to visit this place is to freshen up, pray and enjoy the religious atmosphere offered by the resort. The conclusion of this study is that although the use of Latin provides a strong religious overtone, this does not significantly influence tourist motivation. Bunda Beach and Resort management can consider adding other elements that are more attractive to general tourists
The Impact of Using Gadget in Increasing Students' Reading Comprehension in Eleventh Grade at SMA Negeri 4 Makassar
Nowadays, there are many schools, especially high schools, which allow their students bring gadget to school. Therefore, it is crusial for students to know how to use gadget as possible as they can as a helping tool especially to increase their academic skills including their reading comprehension in English lesson. The purpose of this study was to find out the use of gadget in increasing students’ reading comprehension in eleventh grade at SMA Negeri 4 Makassar in academic year 2023/2024. The sample of this study were 20 students from class XI-8. The method that was used in this study was a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design that use three steps, namely pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The findings revealed that there is an increase of students’ score in pre-test to post-test. The mean of students’ score in pre-test was 41,960 and post-test was 68,295. The t-tes was used SPSS 18 and the result is 0,000 (<0,50) which means that there is a significant difference between students’ score in pre-test to post-test. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of gadget can increase students’ reading comprehension in eleventh grade at SMA Negeri 4 Makassar
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SCIENTIFIC APPROACH ON SPEAKING SKILL AT SMA NEGERI 18 MAKASSAR
The aim of this research was to find out how the implement scientific approach to improve ability on speaking skill at SMA Negeri 18 Makassar. The method used in this research was quantitave experimental research with one group pre-test post-test research design. Speaking test was used as the instruments of collecting the data. The sample of this research were the second grade with 20 students. The result of data analysis showed that there was an enhancement speaking skills of fluency and pronunciation through the implementation scientific approach. The mean score of the students increased from 44.75 and the pre test to 76,25 on the post test. Based on the result of data analysis, the writer concludes that there was an enhancement after implementing the scientifict approach on speaking skill in second grade at SMA Negeri 18 Makassar
Analisis Aktivitas Game Online Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas VI UPT SPF SD INPRES Lae-lae I

Skripsi Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan dan Sastra, Universitas Bososwa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh game online terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas VI UPT SPF SD Inpres Lae-lae I. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui fenomena tentang apa yang dialami oleh subjek penelitian misalnya perilaku, persepsi, motivasi, Tindakan secara holistic dan cara deskripsi dalam bentuk kata-kata dan Bahasa, pada suatu konteks khusus yang alamiah dan dengan memanfaatkan berbagai metode alamiah, penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian studi kasus, Karena penelitian kualitatif itu luas, maka penelitian ini difokuskan pada lima anak kelas VI UPT SPF SD Inpres Lae-lae 1. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan sesuatu yang berkaitan dengan dampak game online terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik. Maka secara metodologi, penelitian ini kategori penelitian kualitatif, yaitu prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data berupa kata-kata tertulis atau lisan orang-orang dan perilaku yang dapat diamati. Adapun beberapa upaya yang dapat dilakukan dalam pengumpulan data agar memperoleh data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan hasil penelitian tentang analisis aktivitas game online terhadap motivasi belajar siswa UPT SPF SD Inpres Lae-lae, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bermain game memiliki tingkat kecanduan yang berbeda-beda bagi pemain, yaitu: rendah, sedang, dan tinggi. Tingkat kecanduan game online dapat dilihat dari intensitas anak bermain game. frekuensi bermain game online yang semakin lama, maka semakin banyak pula dampak game online pada hasil belajar anak.

The Impact of Literature in English Language Teaching - Challenges and Opportunities: A Literature Review
The integration of literature into English language teaching (ELT) is increasingly recognized for its ability to enhance linguistic skills and cultural awareness. This literature review aims to provide valuable insights and recommendations for best practices in applying literature within ELT across various educational contexts. Employing a literature review methodology, the study examines both primary and secondary sources, including recent articles, conference papers, and other relevant documents obtained from academic databases and online search engines such as Google Scholar and ERIC. The review process involves selecting pertinent publications, collecting and analyzing data, discussing related topics, integrating supporting information, and drawing conclusions. The findings reveal that while integrating literature into ELT presents certain challenges, such as selecting appropriate texts and addressing varied student proficiency levels, it also offers significant opportunities for enriching language instruction. Additionally, various effective strategies for integrating literature into ELT across different countries are identified. The study highlights the potential of literature to improve English language teaching and provides recommendations for leveraging literary resources to maximize educational benefits.
 
THE INFLUENCE OF PARENTING PATTERNS ON STUDENTS' LEARNING OUTCOMES OF GRADE II UPT SPF SDN TIDUNG MAKASSAR
This study aims to (1) Identify and analyze the influence of parenting patterns on the learning achievement of class II students at UPT SPF SD Negeri Tidung, Makassar City (2) Identify and analyze the influence of social interaction on the learning achievement of class II students at SD Negeri Tidung, Makassar City (3) Determine and analyze the influence of parenting patterns on learning outcomes of class II at UPT SPF SD Negeri Tidung, Makassar City. This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 30 students—data collection techniques include questionnaire techniques and documentation. Data analysis techniques include descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, and f-test. The results of the study indicate that the parenting pattern used by parents at UPT SPF SD Negeri Tidung, Makassar City, namely democratic parenting, has a positive effect on student learning outcomes
UNVEILING THE COMMUNICATION SKILLS DYNAMICS OF INDONESIAN STUDENTS IN INTERNATIONAL CREDIT TRANSFER PROGRAM: A PHENOMENOLOGICAL INQUIRY INTO ACADEMIC LIVED EXPERIENCES IN THE PHILIPPINES
This study aims to explore the dynamics of communication skills of Indonesian students’ lived experiences during the International Credit Transfer (ICT) program in the Philippines. We apply the phenomenology method with a stimulated-recall interview to find out students' lived experiences to recall the communication skill dynamics while studying at Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology in the Philippines for one semester. 3 students (1 female and 2 male students) as participants were selected purposively. Data was analyzed thematically following six phases, 1) become familiar with the data, 2) generate initial codes, 3) search for themes, 4) review themes, 5) define themes, and 6) write-up. The result of the research demonstrated that after taking part in the ICT program, Indonesian students' communication abilities increased in three areas: verbal, written, and social communication skills. Verbal communication skills involve idea presentation, overcoming language barriers, collaborative presentation, and teamwork. While written communication skills include aspects of using social media for collaboration, assignment models, and active communication involvement. Besides, social communication skills include reaching a consensus, body language communication, cultural sensitivity, and language learning. All these information provides a significant communication skills impact enhancement that offers Indonesian students a valuable opportunity to enhance their communication skills verbally, written, and social through various classroom activities and interactions in the ICT program
THE ROLE OF CHARACTER EDUCATION IN REDUCING THE RECIDIVISM RATE
This research explores the role of character education in reducing recidivism among former inmates, with a focus on the Class II Penitentiary in Polewali Mandar. The issue of recidivism reflects weaknesses in the rehabilitation and social reintegration of inmates, which can be addressed through character education. Character education aims to develop moral and ethical values, as well as the ability to adapt in new social environments, helping former inmates recognize and correct past mistakes. A qualitative method with a case study approach was used to collect data through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The results show that inmates who participate in character education programs exhibit positive changes in behavior and a decrease in the recidivism rate by 20-30%. The implementation of this program was successful through collaboration between correctional institutions, government, and non-governmental organizations. This research concludes that character education plays a significant role in reducing recidivism and recommends enhancing instructor training, psychosocial support, ongoing monitoring, and community collaboration for the success of the progra
STUDENTS’ PERCEPTION OF USING GRAMMARLY WEBSITE TO SUPPORT THEIR ENGLISH WRITING SKILL
This study seeks to reveal university students' perceptions towards Grammarly website which is becoming more popular to be used by them as a medium for writing English well. As we all know, in this modern era or the 21st century, technology developments especially websites or applications have growth rapidly, and it really eases students in performing English. Grammarly is recognized as one of platform that is intended to assist students’ writing of English correctly and precisely. So, this research is focused to expose the EFL student's perception about Grammarly website whether it is positive or negative. Online closed-ended questionnaire was used in this study, and it involved 100 students only on the small-scale context. The findings demonstrated that students believed that using Grammarly would have a positive impact on their English writing in context three aspects of easiness, motivation and satisfaction, and English competence with dominant respond of strongly agree and disagree
THE INVESTIGATION OF ANXIETY ON ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING IN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: A CASE STUDY IN GRADE ELEVENT
This research aims to investigate the impact of anxiety on English language learning achievements among high school students. It identifies anxiety as a significant emotional condition that can either hinder or motivate language acquisition. The study focuses on 11th-grade students at SMAN 106 Jakarta and examines various factors contributing to anxiety, including internal elements such as perception, personality, and intelligence, as well as external factors like motivation, classroom environment, and cognitive characteristics. The research highlights that anxiety can lead to feelings of restlessness, frustration, self-doubt, and tension. This emotional state often results in fear of negative evaluation, nervousness about making mistakes, and concerns about others' language abilities. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative research approach, the study employs questionnaires and in-depth interviews to collect data from students. Findings suggest that anxiety is a multifaceted issue, with students experiencing anxiety due to a range of factors including fear of criticism, judgment, and low grades. The research aims to provide valuable insights into the challenges faced by high school students and emphasize the need for tailored interventions and support mechanisms to help manage and alleviate anxiety. This understanding is intended to assist both teachers and students in addressing and overcoming the barriers posed by anxiety in language learning
