    DISTILASI AIR LAUT TENAGA SURYA DENGAN KONSENTRATOR LENSA FRESNEL

    Water supply is a basic need for life. Water management that requires a large amount of cost and energy is needed alternative solutions to produce a cheap process. Research on the distillation process was carried out to find solutions to these problems. The research was carried out by a experiment method to produce a distillation process for water purification.The experiment use an effective fresnel lens of 0.785 m2 and the receiver volume was 200 mL The results of the study explained that using a fresnel lens concentrator was able to generate steam. The steam can be condensed to produce fresh water. Data from calculation obtained average direct solar radiation is 531.98 Watts/m2 and the power received by the receiver is 346.61 Watt. The average normal solar radiation in tests is 515,7 W/m. The average temperature of the focus point on the cone receiver is 520,4OC.The wet steam generation process is obtained when the water temperature in the receiver shows 95OC. Experiments of distillation for 200mL sea water needed 10 minutes to reach 4 bar of pressure.     The pulverization of cassava sago is one of the main of traditional aruk rice.To get a chewy and very chewy level of sago requiresto pulverize ± 50 minutesfor 1 kg cassava sago. To speed up the pulverization process, it was designed a sagopulverization machine with a 0.5 HP electric motor power. The design method uses the French method, with the pulley and v-belt as atransmission system to actuate the eccentric shaft so that the pounder will move up and down. The fixed variable is time and it will set for 10 minutes and 12 minutes with result analysis using visualization method to 10 respondents. The force that generated by eccentric shaft and transmitted to the pounder of 1.010 N produce the chewy level of sago at 10 minutes to pulverization process  with capacity 6 kg / hour and the very chewy level at time 12 minutes with capacity 5 kg / hour.This machine will  reduce time of pulverization process until 76-80% compared to the manual process. Keywords: Aruk rice, grinding machines, electric motors, elasticit

    PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN SERAT BUAH PINANG TERHADAP KUAT TEKAN DAN KUAT TARIK BELAH BETON

    Beton adalah suatu campuran yang terdiri dari pasir, kerikil, batu pecah atau agregat-agregat lain yang dicampur menjadi satu dengan suatu pasta yang terbuat dari semen dan air sehingga membentuk suatu massa mirip batuan. Beton adalah material yang rumit. Beton dapat dibuat dengan mudah bahkan oleh mereka yang tidak punya pengertian sama sekali tentang teknologi beton, Beton mempunyai kuat tekan yang sangat besar, tetapi kuat tarik beton sangat rendah.Salah satu usaha untuk memecahkan masalah tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan serat sebagai bahan pengisi dalam campuran beton. Benda uji untuk pengujian kuat tekan digunakan kubus 15 x 15 x 15 cm dan kuat tarik belah digunakan silinder diameter 15 cm dan tinggi 30 cm. Persentase penambahan sera buah pinang adalah 1 %, 1,5 %, 2 % terhadap berat jenis beton dengan mutu beton K.225 dan dilakukan pengujian kuat tekan dan tarik belah. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapat hasil uji kuat tekan mengalami peningkatan pada persentase 1 % sebesar 6.50 % dan mengalami penurunan pada persentase 1,5 % dan 2 % sebesar 3.88 % dan 17.80 % dibandingkan beton normal, untuk hasil pengujian kuat tarik belah beton mengalami peningkatan pada persentase 1 %, 1,5 % sebesar 6.50% , 10.4 % dan mengalami penurunan pada persentase 2 % sebesar 7.07 % dibandingkan dengan beton normal.Kata kunci: serat buah pinang, kuat tekan beton dan tarik belah beto

    EVALUASI KINERJA FUNGSIONAL - STRUKTURAL DARI CAMPURAN HOTROLLED SHEET - WEARING COURSE (HRS-WC) YANG MENGGUNAKAN ASPAL PEN 60/70 DAN POLIMER ELVALOY

    Campuran Hot Rolled Sheet (HRS-WC) dianggap mempunyai kelebihan dibandingkan dengan jenis perkerasan lainnya karena HRS-WC mempunyai sifat fleksibilitas dan durabilitas tinggi. Pada penelitian ini digunakan campuran HRS-WC sesuai spesifikasi Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum 2010 memakai aspal Pen 60/70 dan aspal modifikasi polimer Elvaloy yang dihasilkan dari aspal Pen 60/70 yang diblending polimer Elvaloy sebesar 0%, 1,5% dan 2%. Hasil uji Marshall campuran HRS-WC dengan Elvaloy 1,5% menunjukkan nilai Stabilitas Marshall tertinggi sebesar 1.580,3 kg dan hasil uji Wheel Tracking memberikan nilai Stabilitas Dinamis tertinggi sebesar 21.000 lintasan/mm pada temperatur 45°C. Dan hasil kedalaman tekstur menunjukkan nilai tertinggi pada campuran HRS-WC dengan Elvaloy 2% sebesar 0,061 mm pada temperatur 60°C. Secara umum, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas campuran HRS-WC yang menggunakan aspal modifikasi Elvaloy dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam perbaikan kinerja fungsional dan struktural perkerasan jalan. Hal ini disebabkan karena campuran dengan Elvaloy 2% mempunyai nilai makrotekstur yang baik, sedangkan nilai stabilitas dinamis  yang paling baik terdapat pada campuran Elvaloy 1,5%.Kata kunci: Hot Rolled Sheet-Wearing Course (HRS-WC), elvaloy, wheel tracking, tahanan gelincir, kedalaman tekstu

    Kesejahteraan masyarakat Indonesia dalam bidang industri khususnya industri kecil seperti aneka makanan ringan yang digoreng perlu di tingkatkan sebagai contoh adalah keripik pisang, keripik ubi, keripik kentang dan kerupuk, makanan ringan ini memiliki keterbatasan yaitu umur konsumsi yang terhitung kurang panjang karena adanya minyak yang terkandung di dalamnya. Maka dilakukan perancangan dan pembuatan alat peniris, untuk usaha memperpanjang umur konsumsi. Oleh sebab itu , penulis melakukan pengujian mesin peniris minyak ini dengan variasi pully berdiameter 16 cm, 19 cm dan 21,5 cm dan mendapatakan hasil penirisan yang paling optimal dari mesin yaitu dangan pully yang berdiameter 21,5 cm dengan berat ubi untuk keripik 1000 gram dan lama waktu penirisan 10 menit dan minyak yang tertiriskan sebanyak 110 gram dan berat keripik setelah ditiriskan 775 gram.Kata kunci: peniris, keripik, pull

    This study examined the design and analysis of the strength of the trash bin frame using the finite element method. The analysis was carried out using Autodesk Inventor Professional 2017. The frame material used was Aluminum 5052 with ISO 10799-2 (Square) standard with the size of 25 x 25 x 2 mm. Variable load of trash bin was 55 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, and 70 kg.     Modern Water Purifier uses the main drive, namely a water pump with a power of 15-30 watts, a voltage of 220 volts AC, a frequency of 60 hertz with an absolute pressure from the pump 10-100 psi (Pond Square In). The working principle of this equipment is the water pump as the main water drive or diverter that is connected with filters which then will flow through the hose which then comes out through holes (pores) that are on the sides of the filter. From the water that comes out it will go to the Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane and then it will flow towards Bio Ceramics which will last through Post Carbon so that the water that comes out after the process will become water that can be consumed by humans.     ANALISA RANGKA LOAD-FRAME DARI ALAT TRIAXIAL DIGITAL 50 KN

    An analysis of the strength of the material on the framework of the digital triaxial apparatus to increase the maximum working capability to 50 kN has been performed. A digital triaxial device is a test machine used to determine the properties of a soil sample. Analysis of the framework of this tool is needed to see the character of the material used so as to obtain maximum performance to support the performance of the digital triaxial device. The frame in question consists of a bottom base, two poles, and a beam rod positioned at the top of the pole. The analysis performed using 3D Solidworks software utilizes structural analysis features. Pressures of 50 kN are given in a vertical direction so as to press the midpoint of the bottom base and the beam rod, both of which are attached to the pole using a nut as anchoring.     PENGARUH KOMPENSASI, MOTIVASI DAN DISIPLIN KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN UNIVERSITAS TRIDINANTI PALEMBANG

    This study aims to determine the effect of Compensation, Motivation and Work Discipline on Employee Performance at the University of Tridinanti Palembang. Both partially and jointly. In this study the total population was 70 people, with details of 35 trial samples and 35 research samples. From the results of the study obtained the variable Compensation regression coefficient (X1) of 0.147, Motivation (X2) 0.135, Work Discipline (X3) 0.155 and also produces a constant value of 38.496 so the Multiple Linear Regression equation is as follows: Y = 38.496 + 0.147 X1 + 0.135 X2 + 0.155 X3, while the correlation coefficient results are 0.6343 which means it has a very strong relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable, also the determination coefficient (R2) of 0.320 This value can be interpreted that the percentage effect of Compensation, Motivation and Work Discipline on Performance is 32% while the remaining 78% is influenced by other variables not included in this study.Keywords: compensation, motivation, work discipline, and employee performanc
