THE CORRELATION BETWEEN TRANSLATION ABILITY AND READING HABIT TOWARD WRITING ABILITY
Get PDFThis research is aimed to find out the correlation between (1) translation ability and writing ability; (2) reading habit and writing ability; (3) translation ability and reading habit toward writing ability. The population of the study was the fourth semester in the academic year 2019/2020. The sampling technique used is convenience non random sampling. The researcher used test to obtain the data of students’ translation ability, then questionnaire to obtain the data of students’ reading habit level and test to obtain the data of students’ writing ability. Theresearcher used Product Moment formula to know the coefficient correlation and linear regression to find out the significance correlation. There three results of the study, fist hypothesis, showed that the coefficient of correlation between students’ translation ability (X1) and their writing ability (Y) is higher than 0 (0.9083>0) and linear regression showed that t obtain is higher than t table (10.415 > 2.069). Second hypothesis, showed that the coefficient of correlation between students’ reading habit (X2) and their writing ability (Y) is higher than 0 (0.6939>0) and linear regression showed that t obtain is higher than t table (4.621 > 2.069). Furthermore, the third hypothesis showed that the coefficient of correlation (ryx1x2) between students’ translation ability (X1) reading habit (X2) and their writing ability (Y) is higher than 0 (0.8304>0) and linear regression showed that t obtain is higher than t table (24.443 > 3.44). It means translation ability and reading habit is a good predictor for the students’ writing ability
RESPON PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN JAGUNG MANIS (Zea mays saccharat Sturt) AKIBAT PEMBERIAN BERBAGAI DOSIS PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR KOTORAN SAPI
Get PDFRespon Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Jagung Manis (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) akibat Pemberian berbagai Dosis Pupuk Organik Cair Kotoran Sapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian berbagai dosis pupuk organik cair kotoran sapi terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata Sturt). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Agro Techno Park (ATP) di Desa Bakung, Kecamatan Indralaya Utara, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir, Sumatera Selatan. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode percobaan dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non faktorial, dimana terdapat 5 perlakuan yaitu, P0 = Kontrol, P1 = 30 cc/l air, P2 = 40 cc/l air, P3 = 50 cc/l air, P4 = 60 cc/l air. Perlakuan tersebut diulang sebanyak 5 kali sehingga terdapat 25 satuan percobaan. Peubah yang diamati yaitu : luas daun (cm²), laju tumbuh tanaman (g/hari), umur berbunga (hst), diameter tongkol (cm), panjang tongkol (cm), berat tongkol per tongkol (g), dan berat tongkol berkelobot basah (g). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pemberian dosis pupuk cair kotoran sapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua peubah yang diamati. Hal ini diduga persentase kandungan unsur hara yang terdapat didalam pupuk cair kotoran sapi telah mencukupi kebutuhan yang diperlukan untuk pertumbuhan vegetatif dan generatif tanaman jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata Sturt). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, respon pemberian pupuk organik cair kotoran sapi dengan dosis P3 (50 cc poc per liter air) dapat menghasilkan luas daun minggu ke-4 dan minggu ke-5 berturut-turut sebesar (2478.20 cm²) dan (4284.99 cm²), serta laju tumbuh tanaman pada periode ke-4 dan periode ke-5 berturut-turut sebesar (1.73 g/hr) dan (1.73 g/hr), sedangkan umur berbunga (45.50 hst), diameter tongkol (4.11 cm), panjang tongkol (20.45 cm), berat tongkol per tongkol (258.00 g), dan berat tongkol berkelobot basah (340.00 g)

Get PDFABSTRACT This study basically discusses the influence of emotional intelligence and work ethic on employee performance at PT. Forward Palembang Exspres. The population and sample studied were 52 people. From the results of the study of emotional intelligence and work ethic simultaneously have a significant influence on the performance of employees where the equation obtained from the results of multiple linear regression is Y = 21,132 + 0.098 X1 + 0.583 X2 + e. The coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.564 or 56.4% which means that 56.4% of performance is influenced by emotional intelligence and work ethic. While the remaining 43.6% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Such as the work environment, work discipline, education, income, social security, employment opportunities, capacity building and production facilities. F test results indicate the influence of emotional intelligence and work ethic on the performance of employees of PT. Forward Palembang Exspres. ANALISIS PENGARUH PENDAPATAN PEKERJA WANITA TERHADAP PENDAPATAN KELUAGA (STUDI KASUS PEKERJA WANITA PENYAPU JALAN DI KOTA PALEMBANG)
Get PDFABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of income of female street sweeper workers on the welfare of their families. The research case study is street sweeper female workers in Palembang City. This study uses primary data through the method of collecting data using questionnaires, interviews and literature studies. The analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis using three regression models. The results showed that the Female Street Sweeper Income Ratio of Family Income had a significant and opposite effect on Family Income while the Variable Numbers of Family Members also had a significant but unidirectional effect on Total Family Income. More family members will increase total income. The regression results also show that the role of female street sweepers is quite important in generating additional income in the family so that it can support the amount of consumption needed by the family. The greater number of family members will make the consumption value increase. The number of family members also has a significant effect on the ratio of debt to family income. More and more family members will make consumption increase so that the burden of needs can cause debt to increase. Whereas female road sweeper income also has a significant effect but the direction is opposite to the family debt ratio. ANALISIS DEBIT MUATAN SEDIMEN DASAR PADA MUARA SUNGAI OGAN
Get PDFSungai Ogan merupakan salah satu sungai besar yang ada di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan yang juga melewati beberapa kabupaten, dengan hulu berada di Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu, melewati wilayah Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir, Ogan Ilir dan muara berada di Kota Palembang. Sungai Ogan memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi karena dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber air baku PDAM Tirta Musi, sumber air penduduk wilayah sungai, dan sebagai sarana transportasi sungai. Tingginya sedimentasi yang terjadi, dapat mengakibatkan pendangkalan di bagian muara Sungai Ogan, banjir pada saat air pasang dan terhambatnya lalu-lintas kapal pada saat air surut, serta mengganggu kinerja intake PDAM. Untuk penanggulangan masalah sedimentasi ini, maka perlu dilakukan penelitian mengenai besaran laju atau debit muatan sedimen dasar (bed load). Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode Meyer-Peter dan Muller yang merupakan salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk menganalisa atau menghitung debit muatansedimen dasar (bed load). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada 3 titik di muara Sungai Ogan, yang hasilnya akan dilakukan uji saringan dan ukuran sedimen di laboratorium. Selanjutnya untuk keperluan perhitungan debit muatan sedimen dasar ini, juga dilakukan pengumpulan data sekunder berupa data curah hujan selama 10 tahun yang didapat BMKG, data Catchmen Area yang akan dianalisis bersama hasil uji sampel. Dari hasil analisis debit puncak di Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Ogan bagian muara didapat sebesar 49,07 m3 /det. Perhitungan debit sedimen dasar digunakan metode meyerpeter dan muller didapat bahwa debit sedimen di muara sungai ogan adalah 2,6 x 10-5 m/s/m.Kata kunci: sedimen dasar, sedimentasi, sungai oga
PENGARUH ASAM SULFAT TERHADAP STABILITAS CAMPURAN ASPAL LASTON WEARING COURSE (AC-WC) DENGAN ALAT MARSHALL
Get PDFAsam Sulfat merupakan merupakan asam mineral (anorganik) yang kuat. Asam Sulfat sering digunakan dalam mencetak hasil perkebunan karet. Dengan maraknya penggunaan Asam Sulfat untuk pengolahan karet, besar kemungkinan ketika proses pengangkutan, Asam Sulfat tertumpah atau menetes ke atas permukaan jalan. Kondisi inilah yang selanjutnya mendorong untuk melakukan penelitian kondisi stabilitas suatu perkerasan jalan akibat pengaruh Asam Sulfat. Ada dua perlakuan yaitu pembuatan benda uji campuran normal, dan benda uji yang direndam Asam Sulfat. Untuk perlakuan benda uji yang direndam Asam Sulfat dilakukan perendaman dengan variasi konsentrasi Asam Sulfat 100 %, Asam Sulfat 75% + Air 25%, Asam Sulfat 50% + Air 50%, dan Asam Sulfat 25% + Air 75% serta variasi watu perendaman 1, 3 dan 5 menit diangkat, dicuci dan didiamkan untuk pengeringan air selama 24 jam sebelum diuji Marshall. Dari hasil pengujian campuran normal didapatkan nilai KAO 5,80 % dan nilai stabilitas 1610 kg. Secara keseluruhan nilai stabilitas menurun akibat perendaman Asam Sulfat. Penurunan terbesar terjadi ketika direndam dengan Asam Sulfat 100% dengan waktu 5 menit sebesar 555,31 kg. Penurunan stabilitas terkecil terjadi pada kondisi benda uji dicelupkan ke dalam larutan 25 % Asam Sulfat + 75 % air dengan waktu 1 menit sebesar 1504,48 kg. Semakin besar konsentrasi Asam Sulfat terhadap air dan semakin lama waktu pencelupan maka kondisi benda uji semakin jelek dan hancur nilai stabilitasnya.Kata kunci: campuran aspal, asam sulfat, marshal

Pada unit pembangkit PLTU Bukit Asam dan PLTGTalang Duku, pertambahan beban akan mendorong pertambahan bahan bakar per satuan waktu dan pada akhirnya akanmeningkatkan pertambahan biaya persatuan waktu, yang biasa disebut nput output pembangkit tenaga listrik. Inputpembangkit PLTU Bukit Asam dan PLTG Talang Duku merupakan kebutuhan energi panas dalam bentuk kkal/h danmmbtu/h sedangkan output merupakan daya keluaran yang memiliki batas-batas daya operasi yaitu daya minimum danmaksimum. PLTU Bukit Asam unit 3 dengan total energi yang dibangkitkan 819.300 Kw (819,3 MW) menggunakanbahan bakar batubara sebesar 609,630 ton sedangkan PLTG Talang Duku unit 1 dan 2 (LM2500+ dan TM2500) denganenergi total yang dibangkitkan 817.240 Kw (817,24 MW) menggunakan bahan bakar gas sebesar 95.910,9 m3 (3.401mmbtu) Biaya operasional per hari konsumsi batubara di PLTU Bukit Asam unit 3 adalah Rp 665.474.637.96 lebihmahal dibandingan dengan biaya operasional per hari konsumsi bahan bakar gas di PLTG Talang Duku unit 1 dan 2(LM2500+ dan TM2500) Rp 448.769.420,91.Kata kunci: biaya bahan bakar pembangkit, analisa biaya, batubara, gas alam, energ

ANALISA TEGANGAN POROS MOBIL LISTRIK TARSIUS X3 MENGGUNAKAN SOFTWARE
Get PDFThe development of the automotive industri in Indonesia that uses electrical energy sources is still a competition in the environment of college students. One of them is the Tarsius X3 electric car that has 2 kilowatts of power with a rear drive system that is used to transfer power from the electric motor to the wheels. Development, design and analysis of the drive shaft using software, aims to determine the surface tension and deformation that occurs on the shaft. Stress analysis uses the theory of energy distortion (von mises). Loading on the shaft is based on, electrical motor torsion, the weighing of car and stress of the shaft material permits by conducting tensile testing of the ASTM E-8 method as input for simulating CAD software (Inventor). The software simulation results show that the von mises maximum stress occurs at 162.463 MPa and the minimum stress occurs at 0.0011 MPa. The maximum deformation occurs at4.74 x 10-2mm and a minimum of 0 mm. The stress and deformation that occur is still at the safety factor limit of 3.83 at under static conditions. The primary data was the short story and the secondary data were from books periodicals, magazines, non-printed sources on internet then data are gathered, together analyzed and finally written in description method. May The Result`of the study shows that: 1) The elements of humanity values in Piece of String follows: (1) understanding, (2) bravery, (3) togetherness, (4) cooperative, (5) honesty, (6) patience, and (7) loyalty. 2) The result is the students thus may learn the use of the words they get themselves more effectively pedagogically.
