USE OF FRESH TECHNIQUE IN TEACHING WRITING DESCRIPTIVE TEXT TO THE EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SMP PGRI SUKAMORO
Get PDFWriting is one of important skills to transfer knowledge between teacher and students. The objective of the study was to find out whether or not there was any significant differenceon writing achievement between the students who were taught by using FRESH technique in writing descriptive text and those who were not. The population of the study was the eighth grade students of SMP PGRI Sukamoro in academic year 2017/2018. The purposive sampling was used on this study. In conducting the study, the writers did experimental method by using quasi-experimental design to the two groups of students. Class VIII 1 became the experimental group and VIII 2 became the control group. The two classes were chosen because they had same level of competency in learning English. Instrument for collecting the data wastest.The result of the data showed that the mean score of post-test of experimental group was 74.11 and post-test of control group was 59.75.It means that there was a significant difference on writing achievement between the students who were taught by using FRESH technique in writing descriptive text and those who were not
IMPROVING STUDENT’S SPEAKING ACHIEVEMENT THROUGH SIX THINKING HAT STRATEGY AT SMA NEGERI 11 PALEMBANG
Get PDFThis study aimed for investigating: (1) whether or not Six Thinking Hat strategy significantly improved student’s speaking achievement, and (2) whether or not there was any significant difference in students’ speaking achievement between those who were taught by using Six Thinking Hats strategy and those who were not. A quasi experimental research design was administered. The samples were taken by using purposive sampling, consisting of 34 students for experimental group and 29 students for control group. Spoken test was used as data collection technique. To verify the hypotheses, the data from the pre-test and post-test from the two groups were analyzed by paired sample t-tst and independent sample t-test. Based on the results of the study, it was revealed that Six Thinking Hats strategy could significantly improve students’ speaking achievement. The result of paired sample t -test confirmed that there was a significant progress of students’ speaking achievement in giving opinion after they got the intervention of this strategy. Next, the result of Independent-sample t-test showed that there was a significant difference between students’ speaking achievement for both of groups. While the non-physical work environment is considered important because it has a direct influence on employees in carrying out and completing work. UPAYA PENINGKATAN SKALA PELAYANAN TAMAN INDAH MASKAREBET MELALUI PENGEMBANGAN INFRASTRUKTUR TAMAN
Get PDFPemerintah Kota Palembang berencana untuk mendorong Taman Indah Maskarebet (TIM) sebagai Taman Kota, meski memiliki luas lahan setara Taman Kecamatan, sehingga diperlukan upaya meningkatkan daya tarik kunjungan melalui pengembangan infrastruktur taman. Fokus penelitian untuk mengukur skala pelayanan TIM dan usulan pengembangan infrastruktur taman. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode penelitian survey, berlokasi di TIM. Menggunakan teknik sampel purpose. Metode distribusi frekuensi dan pengukuran horizontal distance digunakan untuk mengolah data, disajikan dalam bentuk gambar, tabel dan atau narasi dalam interpretasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan radius rata-rata pelayanan TIM ± 1,47 km dari center spot taman, dengan Pengunjung terbanyak berasal dari Kecamatan Alang-alang Lebar (82%). Rekomendasi komponen infrastruktur taman adalah: Tanaman Bunga (99%), 2) Tanaman Perdu (97%), 3) Kolam Retensi (92%) seluas ± 20.500 m2, 4) Lapangan Rumput Hijau (87%), 5)Pepohonan Besar (86%), 6) Arena dan Alat Bermain Anak (58%), 7) Bangku Taman (56%), 8) Pedestrian (53%), 9)Jogging Track (53%), 10) WC Umum (14,18%), 11) Ruang Parkir Kendaraan (14,18%), 12) Lampu-lampu Taman (14%), 13) Lapangan Olah Raga (13,43%), dan 14) Tempat Sampah (10,45%).Kata kunci: maskarebet, TIM, skala pelayanan taman, radius, domisili, infrastruktur tama

The method of testing conducted in this study using the method of tensile testing, metallography, and composition testing. Where prior to testing the reinforcing steel is first casted in the concrete after it is done combustion process with a temperature of 400 ° C, 600 ° C, 800 ° C and cooled with water and air cooling medium. After done all the testing process got result that is reinforcing steel which has the most optimal tensile stress occurred at temperature of 600 ° C with water cooling media which got value of tensile strength equal to 596,46 N / mm2. The culinary preferred to official events such as the wedding is one of the gado gado. The gado gado made with various mixtures ingredients like cucumber, carrots, cabbage and salad leaves. The process of cut carrots can be quite complex. Manually, the process of cutting carrots started with cut carrots into thin-thin, then cut extends so that the measuring length of approx. 7cm and thick 2-4 mm. For 5 kg of carrots, takes approximately 2 hours with 4 people of labor. By because it made the chopper engine carrots to help the culinary production to execution more efficient. The chopper engine carrots made dimension 900 mm x 530 mm x 400 mm, with motor power ½ Hp, and audible 1400 rpm. Cutting system using the rotary system namely the dish/stand eye cut the rotating while the position of the carrot is silent. The torque on the axis of the cutter 635,8325 Nmm. The research results show that to chop 1 kg carrot takes approximately 6-7 minutes. Now the results obtained are as much as 53,075% chopping results carrot is good or in accordance with the size of the expected, as much as 28,975 % showed good enough, 17,95 % less good. PENGARUH KOMUNIKASI, MOTIVASI DAN LINGKUNGAN KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN HOTEL HORISON ULTIMA PALEMBANG
Get PDFABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the effect of communication, motivation, and work environment on the employee performance of Palembang Horizon Ultima Hotel. Data used are primary data obtained from employees of Palembang Horison Ultima Hotel as big as 50 respondents. Based on multiple linear regression analysis Y = 0.031 + 0.875X1 + 0,375X2 + 0,061X3 that each increase in the influence of communication by 1 percent will result in an increase in employee performance by 0.875 percent. Increasing the influence of motivation by 1 percent will result in an increase in employee performance by 0.375 percent and each increase in the influence of the work environment by 1 percent will improve employee performance by 0.061 percent. Determination coefficient of adjusted R Square value of 0.951 (95.1%). This means that Communication, Motivation and Influential Work Environment Against Employee Work Performance of Ultima Horison Palembang Hotel is 0.951 or 95.1%, while the remaining 4.9% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Correlation coefficient of 0.977 explains that the influence of communication, motivation and work environment on performance is very strong. The data were analyzed by using logistic regression analysis model. There were five variables in this research. Dependen variabel was Stock of Return is proxied. Independen variabel in this research was Frequency of trading ,Price Book Value (PBV) as a proxy of the stock value, Return on Assets (ROA) as a proxy of profitability, Return on Equity (ROE) as a proxy of profitability and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) as a proxy capital stuctureThese results of logistic regression showed that the variabels Frequency of trading ,Price Book Value (PBV) as a proxy of the stock value, Return on Assets (ROA) as a proxy of profitability, Return on Equity (ROE) as a proxy of profitability and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) as a proxy capital structure variable has no effect on stock of return on Index Agri companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange 2015-2017. This research give due consideration to the company's management to consider the financial governance of the company to generate earnings and stock of return. For investors can raise the level of profitability as the main indicator in determining investment decisions to maximize income from dividends on shares held and capital again.
