    Studi Pengaruh Stabilisasi Tanah Lempung Lunak Menggunakan Kolom Kapur Terhadap Parameter Kecepatan Penurunan Tanah

    Soft clay is kind of problem in building and highway foundation design. This type of soils, have low coefficient consolidation (Cv) parameter. This condition will cause that soils have very long duration in consolidation process. Limes column stabilization method can be applicable to solve this problem.This research be conducted to analyzed coefficient consolidation behavior in limes column stabilization method. The change variety of coefficient consolidation w ill be observe due to variation of limes column diameter. The limes column stabilization method be wished to increase the value of coefficient consolidation so settlement process of the soil get more rapidly. This research was conducted through experimentalin laboratory, with box that have 40 cm in diameters and this height is 40 cm. Five various of diameters applied in this research and this affect to value of Cv would be examined. Those are 3 cm, 5 cm, 8 cm, 10 cm and 12 cm diameters The result of this research show that limes column could increasing the value of coefficient consolidation. The average change of Cv is 0,000051 (6,38 %) compare w i th Cv without limes column stabilization. However, increasing of limes column diameters have no significant affects to the value of coefficient consolidation

    The objective of the research was describing Pliocene-Pleistocene climatic changes in Bumiayu area based on palynology evidence. The applied method in this research was survey. For sediment sampling used surface sampling method. There are two phases in this research which are field and laboratory research. Thirty six analyzed samples took from Kalibiuk and Kaliglagah Formation in Cisaat river, Bumiayu. The relative age in Bumiayu area on Kalibiuk and Kaliglagah Formation is Late Pliocene-Pleistocene mark on last appearance Stenochlaenidites papuanus and followed by eight times climatic changes, which caused the changes of the flora and vegetation

    This research was aimed to know the influence of fly ash addition at paving block stress strength. Variation of fly ash was 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80% from weight of cement with water cement ratio 0,25. The speciment was hexagonal and cube with the comparison 1 cement : 6 sand. The result showed that the stress strength of hexagonal paving block at 56 days with fly ash 20%, 40%, 60% and 80% was increase to 37,166% (7,057 MPa), 18,248% (3,465 MPa), 8.110% (1,54 MPa), and 14,193% (2,695 MPa). The cubic paving block at 56 days with fly ash 20%, 40%, 60% and 80% was increase to 35,932% (5,969 MPa),15,135% (2,514 MPa), 9,534% (1,584 MPa), and 8,318% (1,382 MPa)

    This studi involve decresing method of harmonic current content in a radial distribution systems used single tuned passive filter. The distribution systems model consist of transformer 20/0,4 kV supplying groups of non linier loads that is represented by personal computer (PC) and fluorescent lamp 2x40 W as load harmonic current source. Passive filter was installed in PCC bus (0,4 kV) and analysis to be conducted according to IEEE std.1531-2003 and IEEE std. 519-1992. The reesult showed that insalation passive filter in PCC bus will decrease magnitut load harmonic current significantly.     Recently, new methods for calculating unit hydrograph are growing fast. Therefore, an idea to compare each methods is necessary needed to ensure which method fits the most to the caracteristic of a particular basin. These some Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (SUH) methods which are Nakayasu SUH, Snyder SUH (in HEC-HMS), and GAMA I SUH, compared with Unit Hydrograph calculation method Collins, which is based its formula on measured hydrograph data. By doing summary to the results, one conclusion is received that the hydrograph by Snyder SUH in HEC-HMS fits the most to the hydrograph by Collins.     The highest production in steel making process is the cost of melting in the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF). The higher the electricity cost , the higher the production cost would be. Some means have to be done , therefore, in the melting process, in order to achieve higher efficiency. One of them is by installing a water cooling panel system at the furnace’s wall and roof. Another way is by chemical reaction through oxygen injection into EAF. The combination of the two will result in tap voltage at higher current and long arc setting. By obtaining higher power factor and long arc, we can achieve higher productivity and electricity cost saving. Experience and data shows that the power factor and long arc obtained can save up to 1.9 Kwh per Nm3 oxygen . Using the data, if oxygen were increased until 30N m3/ton , the fixed production cost would increased approximately 5 % for every increase of Rp.100,-/Kwh in electricity cost. Therefore, in order to stabilize the production cost, energy transformation capacity should be increased to become 130 MVA which is combined with an adequate oxygen injection managemen

    The main problem of domestic wastewater treatment in term of bacterial removal using conventional septictank in many developed towns is lack of land to purify domestic sewage into 10 m minimum safety distance according to WHO regulation. It is necessary to develop new treatment system to ensure bacterial will be removed 100 percent less than 10 m distance. Channel System Filter Septictank (CSF Septictank) is designed to solve the problem above. CSF Septictank is a common septictank equipped with filter tank separated by several partition walls to shape channels. CSF will consist of three parts: initial storage tank, filter tank and final storage tank. The Filter tank is fully filled with fine sand as filter medium. Wastewater will flows from the initial storage tank then pass the filter tank and entering the final storage tank as product of CSF Septictank treatment. Dimensions of the filter tank are analyzed using Huisman formula. Performance of CSF Septictank is measured by comparing water quality between water in the initial storage tank and the final storage tank. Water quality test result shows significance effect in bacterial removal. The other parameters also show increasing of water quality. By using CSF Septictank, bacterial contents could be removed 99,15%, BOD5 contents decreases 27,24%, COD contents decreases 29,01% meanwhile DO contents increases 27,78
