No full textOne of the most important economic activities in the country is flower production, its annual income contributes significantly to the value of the GDP and for years it has had an exponential growth depending on the size of the industry, machinery, investment and labor. It is a highly competitive market with high demand in the months of consumption and mass holidays such as Valentine is Day and Mother is Day. For a business of this type to be successful, it needs to be developed from a market study and pre-feasibility, to take the best strategies, both economic and advertising, to position itself within the existing market. This business plan addresses these issues with an innovative approach and strategies focused on customer benefit and satisfaction. The Cayambe sector is one of the main rose producers in the country and several neighboring communities are dedicated to this activity, for this reason the pre-feasibility and market study was carried out in the largest commune in the San Agustín de Callo area, to know the acceptance by the population of a new floriculture. This project analyzes the profitability of a company that focuses on producing and exporting uvillas from Ecuador to the United States. For which, certain economic, social, political and technological variables have been determined that influence its development, both in Ecuador and in the United States; however, the variables in favor of the project have allowed us to deduce that the environment in which it is planned to be developed is the ideal one to obtain favorable results from it, and that it may be profitable in the future. Information was obtained that allowed us to appreciate that the project has great acceptance in the target market since the current offer does not cover the needs of customers who are looking for healthy food options. Allowing us to analyze that the business opportunity of this project lies in the possibility of offering a product with exotic qualities, in a market that is actively searching for this type of goods. Taking into account the financial results, favorable numbers were obtained that ensure the profitability of the project even in a projection of 5 years, implying it is a project in which it turns out to invest and expect positive results in the short and medium term. There are also several exponents within it, such as Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Nicky Jam, etc; one of the most important today is J Balvin, who has contributed to the growth of the genre in terms of composition and production of songs, more than anything, it allowed Medellín Colombia to become in the most important cities of urban music production. The objective of this research is to analyze the mixing resources focused on the equalization and compression of the rhythm section in terms of the bass lines and the dembow that is used in the songs of artist J Balvin to apply them in two original songs. The carrer, together with the quality of the mix of its themes, are the reasons why the subjects Yo te lo dije and Ambiente of singer J Balvin were chosen as the object of study. Inside there songs, the quality and work that urban gender has today and how its work has greatly contributed to its growth same. No full textThe following degree project proposes an interior design intervention for a residence, a hostelry and a cultural art center (Tekove). Through this project, the aim is to promote culture in all Ecuadorians, through art. So the abstraction of the most authentic of Ecuador was taken as a concept; the contrast and integration that exists with the country's diversity. Within the project this contrast and continuous integration of these four elements is made: modern architecture, rustic architecture, art, and vegetation. Tekove, whose name means art is life, is a complex aimed mainly at young people. It is located in the parish of Puembo, on Julio Tobar Donoso street. The project has a land of approximately 2 hectares and 1000m2 of construction, of which only 1 hectare of gardens and 800m2 of construction were intervened. Recreational areas were created both indoors and outdoors. The areas that the hostel has are the following, reception, waiting room, restaurant, gallery, exercise room, work room, bar and game room, swimming pool, rooms, and outdoor recreation areas such as the lagoons, and the River. The design sought to maintain the rusticity of the original construction, combining it with modern finishes and extensions. Nature as well as art are an element of integration in each space. This project is the drop that will imbue each young person who visits the place with culture, making Ecuador an authentic place valued by its inhabitants and visitors. No full textThe objective of this study was to establish a strategic proposal for the implementation of the restaurant service at the Hotel Maesjhu, located in the city of Atacames. In order to comply with it, the exploratory and descriptive method was used as a research methodology, using techniques such as the survey, the interview and the literature review. The first chapter, developed the theoretical framework regarding the hotel sector in Ecuador, as well as the importance of the restaurant service within a hotel, and the existing ways to evaluate the quality of it, so that it generates positive impacts on the establishment. In the second chapter, the situational analysis of the company was carried out, where its infrastructure and organizational structure were described, establishing its strengths and weaknesses. The analysis of the external environment was also carried out using the PESTEL tool; the analysis of the industry with Porter's Five Forces; that of the competition with Benchmarking; A survey was applied to a sample of customers to identify their expectations regarding restaurant service. Based on this information, the SWOT analysis was carried out. In the third chapter, a condensation of the information collected above was carried out, identifying those aspects required by the guests regarding the restaurant service to be implemented in the Hotel Maesjhu, determining valuable information regarding the infrastructure, menu and willingness to pay the clients. In the fourth chapter, based on the results obtained above, we proceeded with the creation of the proposal, which is made up of nine strategic objectives, defining for each of them, strategies, actions, responsible, measurement indicators and a budget.El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo establecer una propuesta estratégica para la implementación del servicio de restaurante en el Hotel Maesjhu, ubicado en la ciudad de Atacames. Para dar cumplimiento al mismo, se empleó como metodología de investigación el método exploratorio y descriptivo, haciendo uso de técnicas como la encuesta, la entrevista y la revisión bibliográfica. El primer capítulo, se desarrolló el marco teórico respecto al sector hotelero en el Ecuador, así como de la importancia del restaurante dentro de un hotel, y las formas existentes para evaluar la calidad del mismo, a fin de que este genere impactos positivos en el establecimiento. En el segundo capítulo, se realizó el análisis situacional de la empresa, donde se procedió a describir su infraestructura y estructura organizacional, estableciéndose sus fortalezas y debilidades. También se llevó a cabo el análisis del entorno externo haciendo uso de la herramienta PESTEL; el análisis de la industria con las Cinco Fuerzas de Porter; el de la competencia con el Benchmarking; se aplicó una encuesta a una muestra de los clientes para identificar sus expectativas respecto al servicio de restaurantes. Con base en esta información, se efectuó el análisis FODA. En el tercer capítulo, se realizó una condensación de la información recopilada anteriormente, identificándose aquellos aspectos requeridos por los huéspedes respecto al servicio de restaurante a implementarse en el Hotel Maesjhu, determinándose información valiosa en cuanto a la infraestructura, el menú y disposición a pagar de los clientes. En el cuarto capítulo, con base en los resultados obtenidos anteriormente, se procedió con la creación de la propuesta, misma que se encuentra conformada por nueve objetivos estratégicos, definiéndose para cada uno de ellos, estrategias, acciones, responsables, indicadores de medición y un presupuesto

No full textIn the city of Quito, there is currently no supermarket with 24-7 operation and the complementary home delivery service, it is for this reason that the need arises within potential consumers for the existence of such companies. The trend of home service in Quito has been generated since 2010, and even more with the use of digital platforms and social networks, which facilitate access to companies to review information on products and services as promotions existing, places to access these and payment facilities. For these reasons there is a business opportunity to implement this type of project. Once the analysis of the environments, the industry, the analysis of the client could be determined that there is an unsatisfied demand of people who need to have a supermarket that works 24-7 and that additionally has a complementary home delivery service. It was identified that this project has the economic, operational and financial feasibility because the results of the financial evaluation of the project are NPV of 32,154.27 dollars, IRR of 29.41 percent and an IR of 1.70 dollar. No full textThe purpose of this research work is to show that jazz and hip hop are two genres that, despite being born at different times, have the purpose of communicating social and personal problems such as: injustices, feelings, struggles and desires that many times cannot be said simply with words, but through music. Also, a guide will be created to achieve the sound of the band Los Petit Fellas by analyzing various elements of the two genres already mentioned, which is why, in this work, a compilation of various elements such as: rhythm, Harmony, form and structure of the Los Petit Fellas band reflecting the particular sound of jazz added to the performance of a rap singer, which are elements rarely fused due to the historical background of each of the genres. It should be mentioned that, in this thesis, three songs by the band Los Petit Fellas will be analyzed: Suspense, Los Verbos and 11:50 P.M. and in this way, the work seeks to indicate that human experiences can be expressed through the use of elements of rap with the instrumentation and musicality of jazz. Therefore, it is intended to create a methodology by which the elements of the genres are brought together: Jazz and Hip Hop. Finally, the product of this thesis will be a composition based on the elements compiled by studying the aforementioned topics in order to get as close as possible to the sound of the album Noise of the band in question.El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como fin demostrar que el jazz y el hip hop son dos géneros que, pese a nacer en distintas épocas, tienen como propósito comunicar problemas sociales y personales como: injusticias, sentimientos, luchas y anhelos que muchas veces no pueden decirse simplemente con palabras, sino a través de la música. También, se creará una guía para conseguir el sonido de la banda Los Petit Fellas mediante el análisis de varios elementos de los dos géneros ya mencionados.
Es por ello que, en este trabajo, se hará una recopilación de varios elementos como: el ritmo, armonía, forma y estructura de la banda Los Petit Fellas a manera de reflejar el sonido particular del jazz sumado a la interpretación de un cantante de rap, que son elementos rara vez fusionados debido al trasfondo histórico de cada uno de los géneros. Se ha de mencionar que, en esta tesis se analizarán tres temas de la banda Los Petit Fellas: Suspense, Los Verbos y 11:50P.M. y de esta manera, el trabajo busca indicar que las vivencias del ser humano pueden ser expresadas mediante el uso de elementos del rap con la instrumentación y musicalidad del jazz. Por consiguiente, se pretende crear una metodología mediante la cual se juntan los elementos de los géneros: Jazz y Hip Hop. Finalmente, el producto de esta tesis será una composición basada en los elementos recopilados al estudiar los temas ya mencionados para así acercarnos lo más que se pueda a la sonoridad del disco Ruido de la banda en cuestión

No full textAccording to studies about Animal Care in Ecuador, there is no until now, any proof of the influence from the psychological state of the guide to the animal, who is down their control. Therefore, the point of this investigation project is to determine any relationship between depression, anxiety or stress levels that has the guide and the level of wellness that the canine has. The study was made in “Unidad Canina Metropolitana de Apoyo a la Comunidad” from the Metropolitan Police, it was made according to some criteria of inclusion and exclusion, a checklist of points to determine the well-being from the animal and an individual evaluation protocol called “Shelter Quality” to the 60 canines that belongs to the organization mentioned before. In addition, it was made also a psychological test named “DASS 21” to evaluate any clue of depression, stress or anxiety, to 35 metropolitan agents, who have down their charge these canines. To determine the wellness levels, there was applied basic statistics, where only could be taked that the animal wellness was in medium level. However, I could determine that the 21.43 per cent of canines who have patrolling duties and the other 18.18 per cent of canines who have other duties like show present stereotypes. However, through the same statistics method was defined that, depression and stress are in normal levels in contradiction to, anxiety that was found in down levels. Finally, with the use of Chi Square, a complex mathematical method of statistics was determined that, there is not any relationship or influence between the animal well being and depression, anxiety or stress levels, as well as from the metropolitan agents.En el Ecuador, se han realizado estudios sobre bienestar animal, pero, hasta la actualidad no se ha definido si existe influencia del estado psicológico del guía sobre el grado de bienestar que poseen los cánidos o animales que estos tengan bajo su cuidado; por lo cual, el objetivo principal del presente proyecto de investigación es determinar si existe correlación alguna entre el nivel de depresión, ansiedad o estrés que posean los guías y el grado de bienestar que presenten los cánidos. El estudio fue realizado en la Unidad Canina Metropolitana de Apoyo a la Comunidad perteneciente a la Policía Metropolitana, se ejecutó un checklist de bienestar animal bajo criterios de inclusión y exclusión, junto con el protocolo de evaluación individual “Shelter Quality” a los 60 canes que pertenecen a la unidad antes mencionada. Además, se realizó un test psicológico denominado DASS 21 a los 35 agentes metropolitanos que tienen bajo su tutela a estos canes para valorar la presencia de depresión, estrés y ansiedad. Para el análisis de resultados se aplicó estadística básica para determinar el nivel de bienestar, donde se obtuvo que únicamente el bienestar mental se encuentra alterado a nivel medio, como punto adicional a esta evaluación se determinó que el 21,43 por ciento de los canes que tienen labores de patrullaje y el 18,18 por ciento de los canes de show presenta estereotipas. Por otro lado, mediante el mismo método estadístico se definió que el nivel de depresión y estrés se encuentran en niveles normales, a diferencia del nivel de ansiedad que se encuentra en nivel leve. Finalmente, con el uso de la prueba estadística de Chi cuadrado se estableció que no existe relación o influencia entre el grado de bienestar animal de los cánidos y el nivel de depresión, ansiedad o estrés de los agentes metropolitanos

No full textToday, one of the main challenges in the area of wastewater treatment is the successful design and complex operation of the treatment processes, which must guarantee high treatment efficiencies to meet the quality criteria of the effluents. . Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is used to predict the behavior and interactions between the various treatment processes so that the design helps meet the intended objectives. In the present study, the simulation of the hydraulic behavior of the preliminary phase of the Udlapark Wastewater Pilot Plant was carried out, which is composed of a parshall gutter and horizontal flow desander, using the OpenFoam free access software using the “interFoam solver ”. The geometry of the cases was defined according to the specifications of these existing units. Subsequently, for the refinement of the mesh, the “snappyHexMesh” tool was used, which helps in the stability and in the resolution of the solution algorithms. In addition, the boundary conditions were specified based on the characteristics of each of the cases.
