No full textThe city of Cayambe is famous for the production of dairy products, and in addition to an important event that has been held since 2010, which is the National Cheese Fair that takes place in August, visitors from all parts of the country and foreigners come to the event to promote new products. This was an important point for the following thesis proposal of the Alpina-Kiosko group. The project is located on Restauración and Argentina streets, in the city center, and it has an area of 634.93 square meters. The interior design proposal tries to carry out a flagship store, with the aim of standing the brand in this part of the country, to offer its customers a new shopping experience, making the entire product portfolio available and not just a simple purchase, and matching the goal of this type of trade, which is to build customer loyalty towards the brand. Knowing that these are the most representative stores of the brand and the architecture and interior design are very important; to meet the objective, contemporary style was chosen, using modern and noble materials such as wood, granite, and giving importance to lighting, that is vital in these spaces. This space will be integrated with a corporate area, which will be the place for new alliances as well as an area for workers and for conferences, chats, training and working spaces for visitors.La ciudad de Cayambe es famosa por la producción de lácteos, y además de un evento importante que realiza desde el 2010 que es la Feria Nacional Del Queso que se realiza en el mes de agosto, al evento llegan visitadores de todas las partes del país y extranjeros a promocionar nuevos productos, este fue un factor importante para la siguiente propuesta de tesis del grupo Alpina- Kiosko. El proyecto está ubicado en las calles Restauración y Argentina, centro de la ciudad y el cual tiene una superficie de 634.93 metros cuadrados. La propuesta interiorista trata implementar una flagship store, con el objetivo de posicionar a la marca en esta parte del país, para ofertar a sus clientes una experiencia nueva de compra, poniendo a disposición todo el portafolio de productos haciendo que no sea una simple compra, y cumpliendo la función de este tipo de comercio que es fidelizar a los clientes hacia la marca. Dado que estas son las tiendas más representativas de una marca y la arquitectura y diseño interior son muy importantes, para cumplir este objetivo se optó por un estilo contemporáneo, el cual utiliza materiales modernos y nobles como maderas, granitos, y la iluminación que es muy importante en esto espacios. En este mismo espacio se complementará con un área corporativa, la cual sirve de conexión para nuevas alianzas y tiene áreas para trabajadores de planta y áreas para conferencias, charlas, capacitaciones y espacios de trabajo para visitantes

No full textThe following work seeks to evaluate the influence of active and passive noise control techniques on sound landscapes by evaluating the coffee is taste aspects. A quantitative survey was designed based on the different aspects to be qualified, to demonstrate the influence of noise on the gustatory perception of the human being, which was answered by an experimental group. The participants rated aspects such as: sweetness, bitterness, intensity, price, sound while listening to the sound landscape and tasting a sample of coffee that was specially chosen for this research. The acoustic and psycho-acoustic parameters of the different sound landscapes recorded in the city of Quito were also analyzed. With the results of the surveys, the data were analyzed using Wilcoxom and Anova Multivariant signed rank tests to find the difference of means or medians. The results showed that noise affects taste aspects that were evaluated except for temperature and sweetness that did not show significant statistical differences.El siguiente trabajo busca evaluar la influencia de las técnicas de control activo y pasivo de ruido en paisajes sonoros evaluando los aspectos gustativos del café. No full textThe study of animal welfare in zoos is a very important issue, since species in captivity suffer from constant stress, which causes behavioural problems, because the environment in which they live in wildlife is very different from that of the enclosures they reside in. For this reason, a systematic bibliographic review was carried out, in order to analyze the state of research dealing with environmental enrichment in spectacled bears held in zoos. Later, a proposal for an environmental enrichment plan was made, based on the success of the articles reviewed. The document search was conducted in: SCOPUS, ScienceDirect, Academia, ResearchGate, Pubmed, databases to which a thesis from the repository of the Universidad San Francisco de Quito was added. We found scientific articles about spectacled bears Tremarctos ornatus held in zoos around the world, as well as articles studying their behavior in their natural habitat. In principle 57 articles were identified, applying the PRISMA methodology only 12 were selected and approved, excluding 35 articles, either by year of publication prior to 2006, by title unrelated to the topic or for being articles already found in another database repeated. Most of the studies evaluated were found in SCOPUS, and most of them were identified as coming from South America. Environmental fortifications were also evaluated in the corresponding studies, identifying those whose results were positive for the animal. Finally, based on the review, a proposal for a practical environmental enrichment plan for spectacled bears Tremarctos ornatus living in zoos was developed.El estudio de bienestar animal en zoológicos es un tema de suma importancia, ya que las especies en cautiverio sufren de estrés constante, lo cual causa problemas en el comportamiento, debido a que el entorno en el que habitan en vida salvaje es muy distinto al de los recintos que residen

The healthy lifestyle in the European population means that these types of products are accepted for their composition and variety. The main objective of this project is to determine the viability of the implementation of a company for the manufacture and export of coconut breadcrumbs with chillangua. The product has organic characteristics which facilitates export to the European country. This business plan is covers an analysis of external environments with determination of opportunities and threats, as well as the evaluation of competition. The consumer is investigated and their needs are better understood, as well as the level of acceptance of the product to be made. With these analyzes it is possible to determine the business opportunity for the project. Likewise, it has been possible to identify the marketing strategy that best aligns with the consumer and their needs. The four components of the marketing mix are covered, such as product, price, place and promotion. The organizational structure of the company is developed, as well as the production and export processes. Finally, through the analysis of financial indicators it is possible to establish that the project is offering an appropriate profitability and is considered viable.Holanda es uno de los principales consumidores de coco y de sus derivados, así como el principal destino de productos de molinería de origen vegetal. El estilo de vida saludable en la población europea hace que este tipo de productos sean aceptados por su composición y por su variedad. El principal objetivo de este proyecto es determinar la viabilidad de la implementación de una empresa para la fabricación y exportación de apanadura de coco con chillangua. El producto cuenta con características orgánicas lo que facilita la exportación al país europeo. El presente plan de negocios está comprendido por un análisis de entornos externos con determinación de oportunidades y amenazas, así como la evaluación de la competencia. Se investiga al consumidor y se logra entender de mejor manera sus necesidades, así como el nivel de aceptación del producto a elaborar. Con estos análisis se logra determinar la oportunidad de negocio para el proyecto. Así mismo, se ha logrado identificar la estrategia de marketing que mejor se alinea al consumidor y a sus necesidades. Se cubren los cuatro componentes del mix de marketing como son producto, precio, plaza y promoción. Se desarrolla la estructura organizacional de la empresa, así como los procesos de producción y exportación con tiempos. Propuesta interiorista en Tempo Design para adecuación de un centro creativo universitario
No full textThis work addresses the interior design intervention at one of the two industrial sheds of Tempo Design, located in Granados Avenue E14- 748, to build a University Creative Center. There has been a high demand to create an improved location focused on college students to carry out their activities in an alternative environment. Its location is strategical because it is nearby three different campuses of the “Universidad de Las Américas”, motivating the establishment of partnerships with this higher education institution so they could offer better services to their students. This project seeks to satisfy the students’ needs, taking into consideration their accessibility to parking lot (for bikes and motorcycles included), and the integration between bus stops and indispensable shops for students (like pharmacies, coffee shops, stationeries, and restaurants). Likewise, the project encourages planning future university residencies in the shed next to the Creative Center, which will create a University citadel eventually. This interior design proposal intends to improve group and individual workspaces, closed and opened areas with natural and artificial light, with plants or without them, based on the new concept of co-working. The purpose is to create diverse usable spaces, to generate flexibility and dynamism inside each environment so that every user can find their favorite spot.
The goal of this project is to allow each student to take possession of the architecture itself and its environment and be able to relax, focus, and feel inspired in any area of the building.El presente trabajo de titulación se basa en la intervención interiorista en un solo galpón del actual local Tempo Design ubicado en la Av. de los Granados E14-748, para adecuar un Centro Creativo Universitario. Se ha visto la necesidad de crear un espacio independiente para los estudiantes universitarios, en donde puedan realizar sus actividades en un ambiente diferente. Su ubicación es estratégica ya que se encuentra cercana a diferentes sedes de la Universidad de Las Américas, motivando a la asociación con dicha institución para brindar un servicio a sus estudiantes. El proyecto busca satisfacer las necesidades de los mismos, teniendo en cuenta la accesibilidad a parqueaderos, estacionamiento para bicicletas y motos, integración de paradas de buses y cercanía a locales indispensables para estudiantes, como farmacias, cafeterías, papelerías y restaurantes. Asimismo, el proyecto incentiva a proponer futuras residencias universitarias en el galpón aledaño del Centro Creativo Universitario, para que, a partir de allí, se cree una Ciudadela Universitaria. La propuesta interiorista busca mejorar los espacios de trabajo, siendo estos grupales, individuales, cerrados, abiertos, con iluminación natural, iluminación artificial, con vegetación o sin ella, basándose en el nuevo concepto de “Co-working”. La intención es crear espacios habitables y diferentes entre sí, para generar flexibilidad y dinamismo dentro del ambiente, y que así, cada usuario pueda encontrar su lugar favorito. El objetivo de este proyecto es que el estudiante pueda adueñarse de la arquitectura y su entorno, y sea capaz de relajarse, concentrarse e inspirarse en cada rincón de la edificación

No full textOBJECTIVE: To compare the effectiveness of static stretching techniques and neurodynamic techniques in athletes with hamstring retraction. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A systematic review was conducted on the following databases: Google Search, Science Direct, Springer, ProQuest, Taylor & Francis and Scopus. We included randomized controlled studies (RCTs) that used static stretching and/or neurodynamic techniques in sports patients with hamstring retraction as intervention methodologies and that fulfilled the methodological quality parameters rated by the PEDro Scale. RESULTS: Out of 55 initially registered articles we selected by the inclusion criteria, 15 RCTs (n=711 participants), additional 3 systematic reviews were analyzed (n=55 articles). All articles compared static stretching, neural sliding, dynamic stretching and manual neural mobilization techniques, which aimed to improve hamstring extensibility. 7 articles showed statistically significant results when applying neural mobilizations and slides; in contrast 2 articles mentioned improvement when applying static stretches with statistically significant results. CONCLUSIONS: This systematic review shows that neurodynamic mobilizations and slides are effective in increasing the extensibility of the hamstrings in athletes, compared to static and dynamic stretching. From the statistical analysis we conclude that the increase of flexibility, extensibility or muscular power are not totally related to the time or technique of intervention in athletes with short hamstring syndrome. No full textThe incorrect disposal of solid waste due to lack of organization and assistance by municipal authorities has triggered in an arbitrary location, altering natural sites that are potentially sensitive. The purpose of this test is to carry out a prioritization model for closure and rehabilitation based on a process of analytical hierarchy to analyze sites that have been used illegally and anti-technical for the deposit of rubble over time. This prioritization is developed through the specification of eight factors of the sites such as the characteristic geology of the land, the surrounding hydrology of the area, as well as social factors in terms of its proximity to the surrounding population and the time that has remained within reach of the people, in addition to the technical factors regarding the operation of the landfill and intervention alternatives by the competent authorities, finally the physical factors such as their volume and visibility. Each factor is considered from highest to lowest in order of importance according to its interaction with the site and a weight of 8 to 1 is given. These factors which we will call attributes were classified according to the quantities or characteristics found to assign a sensitivity index to each of the classifications since this allows the total assessment of the attribute in terms of its interaction and its sensitivity to the environment.La incorrecta disposición de residuos sólidos por falta de organización y asistencia por parte de las autoridades municipales ha desencadenado en una ubicación arbitraria, alterando sitios naturales que son potencialmente sensibles. La presente tesis tiene como objetivo la realización de un modelo de priorización para cierre y rehabilitación basado en un proceso de jerarquía analítica para analizar sitios que durante tiempo han sido usados de manera ilegal y anti técnica para el depósito de escombros. Esta priorización está desarrollada mediante la consideración de ocho factores propios de los sitios como la geología característica del terreno, la hidrología circundante de la zona, así como también factores sociales en cuanto a su cercanía a la población aledaña y el tiempo que ha permanecido al alcance de las personas, además factores técnicos en cuanto a operatividad del vertedero y alternativas de intervención por parte de las autoridades competentes, finalmente considerando factores físicos como su volumen y visibilidad. Cada factor está considerado de mayor a menor en orden de importancia según su interacción con el sitio y se otorga un peso de 8 a 1. Estos factores a los cuales los llamaremos atributos fueron clasificados según las cantidades o características encontradas para asignar un índice de sensibilidad a cada una de las clasificaciones puesto que esto permite la valoración total del atributo en cuanto a su interacción y su sensibilidad con el medio

No full textThe project Cemetery and mortuary in El Batán zone is located in the city of Quito-Ecuador and is part of a funeral facilities’ network that, despite being foreign to the current vocation of the area, they represent a great symbolic importance as an indispensable necessity for the metropolitan district. This project is located inside the El Batán Cemetery and fulfills the function of housing nearly 55,000 future deaths projected for 15 years in the future. Through an exhaustive analysis and different conceptual investigations, the project is proposed in 2 parts: a cemetery park and a mortuary that is in charge of both housing remains and carrying out the previous actions of treatment and vigil. The second part is to bury most of the project in a way that emulates the ancient and even current traditions of burying a body. Through technological and structural solutions, some processes are presented to the problems that may arise from burying 12 meters underground. The project as a whole is an architectural work that aims to provide practical and, in some cases, technological solutions to modify the customs of the treatment of death in Ecuadorian culture, rescuing some cultural elements that make the cemetery and mortuary unique.El proyecto del Cementerio y tanatorio en el sector El Batán está localizado en la ciudad de Quito-Ecuador y forma parte de una red de equipamientos funerarios que, a pesar de ser ajenos a la vocación actual de la zona, representan una gran importancia simbólica como una necesidad indispensable para el distrito metropolitano. Dicho proyecto se encuentra emplazado al interior del Cementerio El Batán y cumple la función de albergar cerca de 55,000 futuros muertos proyectados para después de 15 años. A través de un exhaustivo análisis y diferentes investigaciones conceptuales, se plantea al proyecto en 2 partes: un parque cementerio y un tanatorio que se encargue tanto de alojar restos como realizar las acciones previas de tratamiento y velación. La segunda parte consiste en enterrar la mayor parte del proyecto de modo que emula las tradiciones ancestrales e incluso actuales de enterrar un cuerpo. Mediante procesos tecnológicas y estructurales se presentan algunas soluciones a los problemas que pueda presentar el enterrarse 12 metros bajo tierra. El proyecto en conjunto es una obra arquitectónica que pretende brindar soluciones prácticas y, en algunos casos, tecnológicas para modificar las costumbres del trato a la muerte en la cultura ecuatoriana, rescatando algunos elementos culturales que hacen al cementerio y tanatorio únicos

No full textThe literature shows that the teacher is the most important factor provided by the school and that it has great influence on the academic and personal level on the students, because they share around 6 hours a day inside an school environment. Using the results of the standardized evaluations Ser Bachiller 2017-2018 and Ser Maestro 2016, looking to find the relation between the performance of teachers, measured in their knowledge, with the performance of students in their High School Senior Year of Public Institutions in Ecuador. By estimating a Multilevel Linear Hierarchical Model, it was found that, for each additional standard deviation (SD) in the average per school of the Ser Maestro test, student learning results increase by 0,10 SD, which means, that, If the average score of the Ser Maestro test per school increases by 10 points, the students will increase 2,6 points out of a thousand in the Ser Bachiller test. These results are consistent with research applied in other countries, which shows that a quality teacher has favorable effects on the cognitive abilities of students.La literatura muestra que el docente es el factor más importante provisto por la escuela y que éste tiene gran influencia a nivel académico como personal en los estudiantes, debido a que comparten alrededor de 6 horas diarias en un ambiente escolar. Utilizando los resultados de las evaluaciones estandarizadas Ser Bachiller 2017-2018 y Ser Maestro 2016, se busca hallar la relación del desempeño de los docentes, medido en sus saberes, con el rendimiento de los estudiantes de Tercero de Bachillerato de Instituciones Fiscales en Ecuador. Mediante la estimación de un Modelo Jerárquico Lineal Multinivel se encontró que, por cada desviación estándar (SD) adicional en el promedio por escuela de la prueba Ser Maestro, los resultados de aprendizaje de los estudiantes incrementan en 0,10 SD, esto quiere decir que, si aumenta en 10 puntos el promedio de la prueba Ser Maestro por escuela, los alumnos aumentarán 2,6 puntos sobre mil en la prueba Ser Bachiller. Estos hallazgos son consistentes con los resultados de investigaciones aplicadas en otros países, en las cuales se evidencia que un docente de calidad tiene efectos favorables en las habilidades cognitivas de los estudiantes
