Kandungan β-Karoten dan Produksi Plasma Nutfah Ubi Jalar Lokal Lampung pada Umur Panen yang Berbeda: β-Carotene Content and Germplasm Production of Local Sweet Potatoes in Lampung at Different Harvest Ages
Sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) with orange flesh enriched with β-carotene andvitamin A can help combat vitamin A deficiency and malnutrition, especially forcommunities in developing countries. The purpose of this study is to select local sweetpotatoes from Lampung which contain β-carotene and to determine an appropriate harvestage to obtain high β-carotene content and production. The study was conducted at theLampung State Polytechnic using a randomized block design (RAK) repeated 2 times.The treatments consisted of 30 genotypes of sweet potato germplasm and 2 harvest ages(3 months after planting and 4 months after planting). The 30 genotypes were selectedbased on flesh color (yellow to dark orange), then tested for β-carotene content andproduction at 3 months and 4 months of harvest. The results showed that from 30genotypes, there were 16 genotypes that had yellow to dark orange flesh color. Thecontent of β-carotene, tuber weight per plant, and number of tubers per plant were higherat 4 months harvest than 3 months harvest. The LPG-01 genotype (Local Lampung) at 3months of harvest had a higher β-carotene content than the other genotypes, which was1,902 µg /100g, while at 4 months the β-carotene content was almost equivalent to theBeta-1 genotype, but higher when compared with other genotypes with 40,493 µg /100g.Genotype of LPG 01 had tuber weight (1,191.90 g per plant) and the number of tubers(5.63 bulbs per plant) higher than the other genotypes. Ubi jalar (Ipomoea batatas L.) berdaging oranye banyak mengandung β-karoten,makanan kaya vitamin A yang dapat membantu memerangi kekurangan vitamin A dankekurangan gizi terutama pada masyarakat di negara berkembang. Tujuan penelitian inimenyeleksi ubi jalar lokal Lampung yang memiliki kandungan β-karoten dan mengetahuiumur panen yang tepat untuk mendapatkan kandungan β-karoten dan produksi yangtinggi. Penelitian dilakukan di lahan Politeknik Negeri Lampung menggunakanrancangan acak kelompok (RAK) diulang 2 kali. Perlakuan terdiri dari 30 genotipeplasma nutfah ubi jalar dan 2 waktu umur panen (3 bulan setelah tanam dan 4 bulansetelah tanam). 30 genotipe tersebut dilakukan seleksi berdasarkan warna daging (kuningsampai oranye tua), selanjutnya di uji kandungan β-karoten dan produksinya pada umurpanen panen 3 bulan dan panen 4 bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 30genotipe, terdapat 16 genotipe yang memiliki warna daging kuning sampai oranye tua.Kandungan β-karoten, berat umbi per tanaman, dan jumlah umbi per tanaman lebih tinggipada panen 4 bulan dibandingkan panen 3 bulan. Genotipe LPG-01 (lokal Lampung) padapanen 3 bulan memiliki kandungan β-karoten lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan genotipelainnya yakni 1.902 µg/100g, sedangkan pada umur 4 bulan memiliki kandungan βkaroten
hampir setara dengan genotipe Beta-1, namun lebih tinggi jika dibandingkandengan genotipe lainnya, yakni 40.493 µg/100g. Genotipe LPG 01 memiliki berat umbi(1.191,90 g per tanaman), dan jumlah umbi (5,63 umbi per tanaman) lebih tinggidibandingkan dengan genotipe lainnya. Implementation of Naive Bayes Classifier (N.B.C.) on Chicken Egg Classification
Egg quality has a significant impact on sales; However, many poultry farmers are still not paying attention to the effects of egg quality. This study aims to predict the quality of broiler eggs worth selling or not—classified by the Naive Bayes algorithm with the input variable (X). These factors affect the quality of chicken eggs in the form of 5 variables X and Y in chicken egg sales conditions. The data used are 215 data. The results show that the Naive Bayes model produces an accuracy of 86,7%
Detection landslide vulnerable zones of West Lampung Regency using the geographic information system approach
West Lampung Regency is one of the regencies in Lampung Province that is vulnerable to landslides. Quoted from the official website of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), it is stated that 50% of sub-districts in the West Lampung Regency are areas prone to landslides. This study detects landslide-prone zones in West Lampung Regency with a GIS spatial analysis approach. The results showed some sub-districts in West Lampung Regency that are at high to very high risk of landslide hazards with a percentage of 40.66% of the district's area
The Diversity and Dominance of Weeds in Various Population Proportions of Intercropping Soybeans With Corn
Soybean is an important food crop for Indonesia after rice and corn. Soybean productivity in Indonesia is still low because most farmers use monoculture cropping patterns which has many weaknesses. Intercropping is an alternative to increase soybean productivity because it has many advantages. Soybeans can be intercropped with corn because the two plants have different physical characteristics, physiology and growth patterns. This research aimed to obtain information about the diversity and abundance of weeds in soybean and corn intercropping. The study was conducted using a single factor treatment design which will be arranged in a single plot field design, using Grobogan variety soybean and Bisma variety corn. The treatment was the proportion of soybean and corn populations which consisted of 4 proportions, i.e. 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, and 5:1, and monoculture soybeans were also planted as a control. Observations on weeds were carried out at the age of 2, 8, and 12 weeks after planting (before harvest) with vegetation analysis. The size of each sample is 0.5 m x 0.5 m with 15 sample plots/plots. The results showed that based on the summed dominance ratio (SDR) in the research area, 16 species of weeds were dominated by broadleaf weeds, with the dominant types of weeds being Phyllanthus urinaria L., Eleusine indica L., and Oryza sativa L. Weeds growing on soybean intercropping with corn and soybean monoculture have a medium diversity index (H').Kedelai merupakan tanaman pangan penting bagi Indonesia setelah padi dan jagung. Produktivitas kedelai di Indonesia masih rendah, karena sebagian besar petani menggunakan pola tanam monokultur yang memiliki banyak kelemahan. Tumpang sari merupakan salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan produktivitas kedelai karena memiliki banyak keunggulan. Kedelai dapat ditumpangsarikan dengan jagung karena kedua tanaman tersebut memiliki karakteristik fisik, fisiologi dan pola pertumbuhan yang berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang keanekaragaman dan kelimpahan gulma pada tumpangsari kedelai dan jagung. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan rancangan perlakuan faktor tunggal yang akan disusun dalam rancangan petak tunggal lapang, menggunakan kedelai varietas Grobogan dan jagung varietas Bisma. Perlakuannya adalah proporsi populasi kedelai dan jagung yang terdiri dari 4 proporsi yaitu 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, dan 5:1, serta kedelai monokultur sebagai kontrol. Pengamatan gulma dilakukan pada umur 2, 8, dan 12 minggu setelah tanam (sebelum panen) dengan analisis vegetasi. Ukuran masing-masing sampel 0,5 m x 0,5 m dengan 15 petak/petak sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan Summed Dominance Ratio (SDR) di daerah penelitian terdapat 16 jenis gulma yang didominasi oleh gulma berdaun lebar, dengan jenis gulma yang dominan adalah Phyllanthus urinaria L., Eleusine indica L., dan Oryza. sativa L. Gulma yang tumbuh pada pertanaman kedelai tumpangsari dengan jagung dan kedelai monokultur mempunyai indeks keragaman (H’) yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang

However, in reality the maintenance of ducks often experiences problems with the length ofharvest and the quality of meat that contains a lot of cholesterol, and the mortality of livestock is veryhigh so that the use of banana peels is expected to increase the intestinal microflora and immunity ofducks and can reduce cholesterol levels of duck meat, so that productivity increases. The purpose ofthe community service program engaged in agriculture-food using banana peels is to pioneer theformation of SMEs engaged in the production of low-cholesterol ducks, develop a pilot business forlow-cholesterol duck products using banana peels, and apply various innovations and findings relatedto the use of banana peels. so that it can be more easily applied by society and industry. Potensi Ekstrak Ubi Gadung (Dioscorea hispida Dennst.) dan Ekstrak Gulma Babadotan (Ageratum conyzoides L.) untuk Pengendalian Hama Penghisap Buah Kakao (Helopeltis spp.) di Laboratorium
Cocoa pod sucking (Helopeltis spp.) is one of the pests that causes a productivity decrease of cocoa pod in Indonesia. In terms of control, many farmers in Indonesia are still using synthetic insecticides that are not environmentally friendly, so intoxicating yam (Dioscorea hispida Dennts) and tropical whiteweed (Ageratum conyzoides L.) are used as botanical insecticide that are environmentally friendly. The objective of this research is to determine the effect of botanical insecticide that made of intoxicating yam extract, tropical whiteweed extract, and mixed extract of intoxicating yam and tropical whiteweed on the mortality of cocoa pod sucking pests. This research was carried out from November 2020 to February 2021, at the Plant Laboratory II Estate Crop Department, Politeknik Negeri Lampung. The research used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of four treatments, namely: P0 (control), P1 (intoxicating yam extract), P2 (tropical whiteweed extract), and P3 (combination of both extracts), which were repeated six times. The highest mortality of cocoa pod sucking pests was found in treatment P1 (72.73%). The mortality of cocoa pod sucking pest was caused by extract of intoxicating yam which contains the active ingredients of saponins, alkaloids, flavonoids, and cyanide which enter the digestive system of the cocoa pod sucking pest as stomach poisons, resulting in the death of the cocoa pod sucking pest. Respons Pertumbuhan Kedelai (Glycine max L. Merr.) terhadap Seed Treatment Matriconditioning dan Aplikasi Pemupukan yang Berbeda: Response of Soybean Growth (Glycine max L. Merr.) Under Seed Treatment Matriconditioning and Different Fertilizing Applications
One of the essential factors in crop production is the use of quality seeds. The availability of quality seeds affects the quality and yield. Currently, in the field is that soybean seeds sold by seed stores are seeds that have deteriorated and are stored in unfavorable conditions, causing the quality of the seeds to decline. To continue planting, a technique for improving the performance of soybean seeds is required through matrix conditioning and fertilization. This study aimed to determine the effect of matrix conditioning and fertilization treatment on increasing the growth of soybean seeds stored for two months. This study used a two-factor completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications. The first factor was matrix conditioning media (without matrix conditioning, sawdust, and husk charcoal). The second factor was fertilization (without organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizers), 100% organic fertilizers, 100% inorganic fertilizers, and 100% organic fertilizers + 50% inorganic fertilizers). The data were tested by using 5% BNT. Variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf dry weight, stem dry weight, root dry weight, and number of root nodules. The results showed that there was an interaction effect between matrix conditioning and fertilization media on the observed variables of plant height, leaf dry weight, and single matrix conditioning treatment that affected the observed variables of root dry weight and number of root nodules in improving seed quality and growth.

Ketersediaan benih bermutu berpengaruh terhadap kualitas dan produksi yang dihasilkan. Kenyataan di lapangan diketahui bahwa benih kedelai yang dijual oleh toko-toko penyalur benih adalah benih-benih yang telah melewati masa simpan dan disimpan pada kondisi tempat yang tidak baik sehingga menyebabkan mutu benih menurun. Agar tetap dapat digunakan untuk pertanaman diperlukan suatu teknik peningkatan performa benih kedelai melalui matriconditioning dan pemupukan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan matriconditioning dan pemupukan terhadap peningkatkan pertumbuhan benih kedelai yang telah disimpan selama dua bulan. Penelitian ini menggunkan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dua faktor dengan 3 ulangan, faktor pertama media matriconditioning (tanpa matriconditioning, serbuk gergaji dan arang sekam) dan faktor kedua pemupukan (tanpa aplikasi pupuk organik dan pupuk anorganik), 100% pupuk organik, 100% pupuk anorganik, serta 100% pupuk organik + 50% pupuk anorganik). Data selanjutnya diuji lanjut menggunakan BNT 5%. Variabel pengamatan yang dilakukan yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, bobot kering daun, bobot kering batang, bobot kering akar dan jumlah bintil akar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh interaksi antara media matriconditioning dan pemupukan terhadap variabel pengamatan tinggi tanaman, bobot kering daun, perlakuan matriconditioning tunggal memberikan pengaruh terhadap variabel pengamatan bobot kering akar dan jumlah bintil akar dalam peningkatan mutu dan pertumbuhan benih.

Kadar Fenol Dan Antidiabetes Minuman Fungsional Kombinasi Teh Hitam Dan Singkil (Premna serrafolia)
Diabetes is a degenerative disease that can arise due to unhealthy lifestyles. Until now there is no cure for this disease, but this disease can be minimized or prevented by consuming healthy food or functional food. Tea-based functional drinks have long been recognized and developed for their potential as an antidiabetic agent. One of them is by combining it with other ingredients like herbal plants. This study processed a black tea-based functional beverage combined with singkil leaves and stems. The purpose of this study was to determine the inhibitory enzymes and phenol content of black tea products combined with single leaf tea, and stem. Based on the analysis, all samples, both consisting of one composition or from the combination, generally have varying phenol levels. The highest inhibitory ability is possessed by tea samples which are categorized as strong, while the lowest inhibitory value is on black tea and singkil tea (THS2) with an IC50 value of 106,236. Based on the parameters of the observation of phenol levels, samples that have the highest phenol content are black tea (182,586 µg GEA / 100 g sample) while the sample with the lowest phenol content is tea (6,413 µg GEA / 100 g sample). All samples showed the ability to inhibit the alpha-glucosidase enzyme with a range between medium to strong. Phenol content is the only parameter used in this study. The overall sample showed the higher phenol levels have the enzyme inhibitory ability which tends to decrease. There may be a role from other indigenous secondary metabolite compounds that are not yet known from this study apart from compounds that arise due to the effects of the processing, such as. The results of the correlation test analysis showed a strong relationship between phenol contains and enzyme inhibitory properties (R = 0,765).

Hingga saat ini belum ada obat yang pasti dapat menyembuhkan penyakit ini, namun demikian penyakit ini dapat diminimalsir atau dicegah dengan mengkonsumsi pangan sehat atau pangan fungsional. Minuman fungsional berbasis teh telah lama dikenal potensinya sebagai antidibates. Banyak yang telah dikembangkan salah satunya dengan mengkombinasikannya dengan bahan-bahan lain. Dalam penelitian ini diolah minuman fungsional berbasis teh hitam yang dikombinasikan dengan daun singkil dan batang . Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana potensi antidiabetes dan kadar fenol teh yang dihasilkan. Beragam sampel baik yang terdiri dari satu komposisi maupun merupakan kombinasi, secara umum memiliki kadar fenol yang bervariasi. Kemampuan hambat tertinggi dimiliki oleh sampel teh yang masuk kategori kuat, sedangkan nilai penghambatan terendah pada teh hitam daun singkil (THS2) dengan nilai IC50 106,236 µg/mL. Berdasarkan parameter pengamatan terhadap kadar fenol, diperoleh sampel yang memiliki kadar fenol tertinggi adalah teh hitam (182,586 µg GEA/100 g sampel) sedangkan sampel dengan kadar fenol terendah adalah teh (6,413 µg GEA/100 g sampel). Semua sampel menunjukkan kemampuan penghambatan enzim α- glukosidase dengan rentang antara medium hingga kuat. Kadar fenol menjadi satu parameter yang digunakan pada penelitian ini. Keseluruhan sampel menunjukkan semakin tinggi kadar fenol, kemampuan hambat yang cenderung menurun terhadap enzim α- glukosidase. Kemungkinan ada peran dari senyawa metabolit sekunder indigenous lain yang belum diketahui dari penelitian ini selain yang muncul karena efek proses pengolahan, seperti contoh pada hasil uji hambat enzim dari . Hasil analisa uji korelasi antara kadar fenol dan kemampuan hambat enzim menunjukkan keterkaitan yang sangat kuat dari keduanya (R = 0,765).

Analisis Ekonomi Pemeliharaan Broiler dengan Pemberian Tepung Daun Mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L.)
Alternative feed ingredients that can replace commercial feed ingredients such as corn namely noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) leaf which has a high enough metabolic energy content. This study aims to analyze the economics of the application Morinda citrifolia L. in broiler feed. This research was conducted in the broiler cage at Lampung State Polytechnic. In this study, there were four treatments that are T1 application Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) leaf 0%, T2 application Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) leaf 2%, T3 application Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) leaf 4% and.T4 application Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) leaf 6%.
