Harvesting Patterns of Merang Mushroom on Planting Media Empty Fruit Bunch
Empty fruit bunches (tankos) are a by-product, which is equal to the amount of CPO, which is 23%. Several attempts have been made to utilize tankos as a growing medium for mushroom, but these efforts have not been optimal. This is because they only take the edible mushroom product once, even though the waste still has the potential as a growing medium for the next mushroom, as well as the potential for compost. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of new EFB, EFB that have been used once, and twice (used EFB I and used EFB II) on the pattern and daily production of straw mushrooms on the pilot plant scale.Pilot plant scale research has been carried out at CV Lintang Agro Farm Raman Adji East Lampung with three treatments, namely new EFB, used EFB I, and second-hand boarding houses. The study was repeated two times. The raw materials used are EFB, lime, katul, mushroom seeds, second-hand tankos I and second-hand EFB. The stages of the research process began with the preparation of EFB, the process of making edible mushrooms and observing the results of the research. The results showed that (1) EFB could be used as a planting medium for straw mushrooms 3 times, (2) the most productive production of straw mushrooms with EFB media was carried out until day 20 of the inoculation process, and (3) planting straw mushrooms on EFB media was able to reduce cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin content significantly.

Beberapa upaya yang dilakukan untuk pemanfaatan tankos sebagai media tanam jamur merang, tetapi usaha tersebut belum optimal. Hal ini karena hanya mengambil produk jamur merang saja satu kali, padahal limbahnya masih berpotensi sebagai media tanam jamur merang berikutnya, demikian juga potensi komposnya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh tankos baru, tankos yang telah digunakan kali satu, dan kali dua (tankos bekas I dan tankos bekas II) terhadap pola dan produksi harian jamur merang pada skala pilot plant.Penelitian skala pilot plant telah dilaksanakan di CV Lintang Agro Farm Raman Adji Lampung Timur dengan tiga perlakuan yaitu tankos baru, tankos bekas I, dan ankos bekas II. Penelitian diulang kali dua. Bahan baku yang digunakan adalah tankos, kapur, katul, bibit jamur, tankos bekas I dan tankos bekas II. Tahapan proses penelitian dimulai dengan proses persiapan tankos, proses pembuatan jamur merang dan pengamatan hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) tankos dapat digunakan sebagai media tanam jamur merang sebanyak 3 kali, (2) produksi jamur merang bermedia tankos paling produkif dilakukan sampai hari ke 20 dari proses inokulasi, dan (3) penanaman jamur merang pada media tankos mampu menurunkan kandungan selulosa, hemiselulosa, dan lignin secara signifikan
Desain dan Analisis Performa Mesin Pemipil Jagung Portabel Berkapasitas Sedang
Corn shelling tools have developed in Indonesia ranging from very simple corn shellers to mechanical corn shellers. However, the maize sheller with a medium-scale capacity has not been well developed. The research objective was to design and analyze the performance of a medium-capacity portable corn sheller machine to meet the maize harvest processing process, which can increase productivity, the quality of maize shelled with medium-scale capacity and also develop a new shelling tool design. This research was conducted in 3 stages, namely field observation, design, and machine performance. The results showed a corn sheller machine with a 0.5 hp electric motor. The results of the work show that the speed of the shelling process is very influential on the results of the shelling. The higher the speed of the shelling process, which is 2400 rpm, the better or no leftover corn is shredded.Alat pemipil jagung telah berkembang di indonesia mulai dari alat pemipil jagung sangat sederhana sampai alat pemipil jagung mekanis. Namun alat pemipil jagung dengan kapasitas skala menengah belum begitu berkembang. Tujuan penelitian adalah mendesain dan menganalisis perfoma mesin pemipil jagung portabel berkapasitas sedang untuk memenuhi proses pengolahan panen jagung dimana dapat menambah produktifitas, kualitas hasil pipilan jagung dengan kapasitas skala menengah dan juga mengembangkan rancangan alat pemipil baru. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara 3 tahap yaitu observasi lapangan, desain, dan unjuk kerja mesin. Hasil penelitian didapat sebuah mesin pemipil jagung dengan pengeerak motor listrik berdaya 0.5 Hp. Hasil unjuk kerja menunjukkan bahwa kecepatan proses pemipilan sangat berpengaruh terhadap hasil pipilan. Semakin tinggi kecepatan proses pemipil yaitu 2400 rpm, maka akan menghasilkan jagung yang terpipil secara sempurna atau tidak bersisa
PEMBUATAN PUPUK PADAT DARI HASIL SAMPING BIOGAS DI GUNUNGKIDUL
Utilization of biogas by-products is expected to increase the beneficial aspects of the existence of a biogas reactor as a source of input for small-scale agriculture, despite the main function as a renewable energy supply. In this study, formulation of solid fertilizer from biogas solid waste and evaluation of formulation yields have been done. Solid (sludge) waste from the biogas reactor were separated and mixed with another biomass for further processing into fertilizer or nutrients for plants. Two formulations have been made (3 kg each) with treatments of one week fermentation with once back stirring (P1) and two weeks fermentation with twice back stirring (P2) aimed to identify the difference between the two samples based on the quality of solid fertilizers produced. The evaluation tests were pH, water content, C-organic, C/N ratio, by-products substance, NPK total, Fe total, and Zn total. The data were analyzed statistically using independent t-test Parametric Statistic for normally distributed and/or homogeny data and also Mann Whitney Non-Parametric Statistic for the opposite. The test results of the fertilizer formula showed a pH value of around 6-7 with water content value of 52-67%. C-Organic value resulted was 25.89±3.10 (P1) and 21.35±1.99 (P2). The resulting C/N ratio was 25,89±3.10 (P1) and 21.35±1.99 (P2). By-products substances, NPK total, Fe total, and Zn total parameter were in accordance with the quality standard of solid fertilizer. Further development efforts are needed to adjust the moisture content of the developed formulation. Moisture content was estimated to affect shelf life, in relation to the number of live microbes as a quality control.Pemanfaatan hasil samping biogas diharapkan dapat meningkatkan aspek manfaat dari keberadaan reaktor biogas. Selain aspek ketersediaan energi, keberadaan teknologi biogas menjadi solusi yang sesuai untuk memanfaatkan kotoran ternak menjadi sumber input pada pertanian skala kecil. Selain menghasilkan gas metan, reaktor biogas juga menghasilkan hasil samping berupa padatan dan cairan dari pipa keluaran sistem reaktor biogas. Pada kegiatan ini, dilakukan 2 fokus kegiatan yakni formulasi pupuk padat dari limbah padat biogas dan pelatihan formulasi pupuk limbah padat biogas kepada Kelompok Tani dan Ternak Sedyo Mulyo. Untuk formulasinya, limbah padat dan cair dari reaktor biogas tersebut dipisahkan untuk diproses lebih lanjut(slurry/sludge) menjadi pupuk atau nutrisi untuk tanaman. Pupuk padat dengan menggunakan limbah padat biogas dicampur dengan biomassa lain. Hasil pengujian formula pupuk menunjukkan nilai pH yakni sekitar 6-7. Untuk nilai kadar airnya yakni sebesar 52-67%. Perkembangan lebih lanjut diperlukan upaya untuk penyesuaian kadar air pada formulasi yang dikembangkan. Kadar air diperkirakan mempengaruhi umur simpan, kaitannya dengan jumlah mikroba hidup sebagai kontrol kualitas
The Kelayakan Finansial Dan Strategi Pengembangan Pabrik Mini Coklat (Kasus PT Perseroda PT. Aneka Usaha Laba Jaya Utama, Lampung) Financial Feasibility And Development Strategy Mini Chocolate Factory (Case Of Pt Perseroda Pt. Aneka Usaha Laba Jaya Utama, : (Kasus PT Perseroda PT. Aneka Usaha Laba Jaya Utama, Lampung)
The mini factory operated by PT Aneka Laba Jaya Utama (AULAJU) is the only mini factory in Lampung Province. However, the current business activities seem to be "running in place" and even chocolate production has stopped for almost a year. Therefore, a financial feasibility study was carried out as a basis for planning for the development of PT AULAJU's chocolate production business. The research was conducted at the Perseroda PT AULJU, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province. The analysis used in this study is testing the investment criteria, that are Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C), Gross Benefit Cost Ratio (Gross B/C), dan payback period (PP). The business development strategy was analyzed using SWOT analysis. The results of the discussion show that PT. AULAJU was declared eligible to be run and developed because NPV=27 billion >0 (positive), IRR=86%>BRI Bank interest rate 12%, Net B/C=1,01>1, Gross B/C=2,01>1, and PP=1,44 (Payback Period< maximum time/economic life of investment (10 years). On the other side, PT AULAJU must make improvements in the context of developing its business. The three main priority strategies are 1) Repair and rejuvenation of machinery and factory equipment that have been damaged or are no longer used, 2) Optimizing the management of BPOM and Halal production permits, etc., 3) Improving the management of BUMD management.Pabrik mini yang dioperasikan oleh PT Aneka Laba Jaya Utama (AULAJU) merupakan pabrik mini satu-satunya yang ada di Provinsi Lampung. Efisiensi Produksi Usahatani Ubi Kayu dengan Pendekatan Stockhastic Frontier di Provinsi Lampung
This study aims to analyze the efficiency of production and the factors that affect the technical efficiency of cassava in Lampung Province. This research was conducted in Central Lampung Regency as the center of cassava production in Lampung Province using a survey method. The number of samples was determined using stratified random sampling so that the total sample size was 100 farmers. Data were collected in August 2020. Farm income was analyzed using R / C and the level of production efficiency was analyzed by the stockhastic frontier production function. The results showed that cassava farming was not technically efficient, but was economically and costly efficient. The total cost of cassava farming income is Rp. 13,959,551.45 per ha with RC of 2.35, so that cassava farming is profitable for cultivation. There are three variables that have a significant effect on the technical efficiency of cassava farming, namely farming experience, age and participation in extension.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efisiensi produksi dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efisiensi teknis ubi kayu di Provinsi Lampung. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah sebagai sentra produksi ubi kayu di Provinsi Lampung dengan menggunakan metode survei. Penentuan jumlah sampel menggunakan stratified random sampling sehingga didapatkan jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 petani. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Agustus tahun 2020. Pendapatan usahatani dianalisis dengan menggunakan R/C dan tingkat efisiensi produksi dianalisis oleh fungsi produksi stockhastic frontier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa usahatani ubi kayu belum efisien secara teknis, namun telah sangat efisien secara ekonomis dan harga. Pendapatan usahatani ubi kayu atas biaya total adalah sebesar Rp13.959.551,45 per ha dengan RC 2,35 sehingga usahatani ubi kayu menguntungkan untuk dibudidayakan. Terdapat tiga variabel yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap efisiensi teknis usahatani ubi kayu yaitu pengalaman usahatani, umur dan keikutsertaan dalam penyuluhan
Karakterisasi Morfologi Tanaman Kopi Rakyat di Pulau Bangka
Coffee is a perennial plant planted on Bangka Island by farmers. Exploration of coffee plants was carried out to see several developed varieties that could be grown on Bangka Island. This study aims to determine the diverse morphological character, phenetic relationship, and variability of folk coffee plants in Bangka. This research was conducted in October 2021-April 2022 in Bangka, Central Bangka and South Bangka. This research was conducted using explorative and descriptive methods. Sampling is carried out randomly to determine the sampling location and data collection. The data from quantitative research were analyzed using variability, while phenetic relationships were analyzed using the UPGMA method (uneweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean) with the NTSYS-pc application (numerical taxonomy software and multivariate analysis system). The results of the analysis of phenetic relationships of qualitative characters resulted in a degree of similarity of coefficients at 53% within coffee of melabun, kota kapur, puput and paku. Analysis of quantitative and combined character phenetic relationships between coffee and puput resulted in a degree of co-efficiency similarity at 25% and 42%. Farmers’ Perceptions Of The Cultivation Of Porang Frog Seeds in Cilimus Village, Teluk Pandan District, Pesawaran
Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri), often known as iles-iles, is a plant that contains carbohydrates, fats, proteins, minerals, vitamins, and dietary fibre. The purpose of the study was to determine farmers' perceptions of the cultivation of porang frog seeds and the factors related to farmers' perceptions of the cultivation of porang frog seeds. The research was conducted in Cilimus Village, Teluk Pandan District, Pesawaran Regency. Data collection was carried out in March–April 2022. The respondents were 35 porang farmers, who were taken from all populations. Data collection was carried out using the census method. The data analysis methods used were descriptive analysis and Spearman Rank Correlation. The results showed that there was a respondent's perception that the production and farming of porang frog seeds were quite in line with market demand and local community habits. To get a good profit (financially) in the process of farming the porang frog seeds, it requires a long time and high costs. Porang frog seeds are not difficult to cultivate, quite easy to plant in any field, and the rules are easy to understand. Cultivating porang frog seeds is easier than other plants; it is easy to prepare tools and materials, and it is not difficult to find buyers. Trials and training on the cultivation of porang frog seeds have been carried out but have not fully received support from the government. The cultivation of porang frog seeds is easy to observe, and it is not difficult to get information about porang plants. Factors related to farmers' perceptions of the cultivation of porang frog seeds are social environment, motivation, and knowledge. The suggestion is to increase farmers' knowledge about porang plants so that other farmers are also interested in doing porang farming so that they can increase perception, production, and income, which of course also requires an important role from the related government in providing support by providing seeds for trials or training and PPL as a companion.Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri) atau yang sering dikenal iles-iles merupakan salah satu tanaman penghasil karbohidrat, lemak, protein, mineral, vitamin dan serat pangan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui persepsi petani terhadap budidaya bibit biji katak tanaman porang dan faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan persepsi petani terhadap budidaya bibit biji katak tanaman porang. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Cilimus Kecamatan Teluk Pandan Kabupaten Pesawaran. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Maret-April 2022. Responden berjumlah 35 orang petani porang yang diambil dari semua populasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode sensus. Metode analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dan Korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya persepsi responden bahwa produksi dan usahatani bibit biji katak tanaman porang cukup sesuai dengan permintaan pasar dan kebiasaan masyarakat setempat. Untuk mendapatkan keuntungan (finansial) yang baik/lebih dalam proses usahatani bibit biji katak tanaman porang memerlukan waktu yang lama dan usahatani memerlukan biaya yang tinggi. Bibit biji katak tanaman porang tidak sulit untuk dibudidayakan, cukup mudah di tanam di lahan mana saja, dan aturannya mudah dipahami. Budidaya bibit biji katak tanaman porang lebih mudah dari tanaman lain, mudah mempersiapkan alat dan bahan serta tidak sulit mencari pembeli. Uji coba/pelatihan budidaya bibit biji katak tanaman porang sudah pernah dilakukan dan belum sepenuhnya mendapatkan dukungan dari pemerintah. Budidaya bibit biji katak tanaman porang mudah diamati perkembangannya dan tidak sulit untuk mendapatkan informasi seputar tanaman porang. PENGUJIAN EFISIENSI DAN EFEKTIFITAS PENGGUNAAN PELARUT LEMAK UNTUK APLIKASI PELAKSANAAN PRAKTIKUM DAN PENELITIAN PENGUJIAN KADAR LEMAK MINYAK
Cara analisis kadar lemak dan minyak secara garis besar dibagi menjadi dua yaitu cara kering dan cara basah. Salah satu cara analisis lemak dengan cara kering yaitu menggunakan metode Ekstraksi Soxhlet. Penentuan kadar lemak menggunakan metode Soxhlet memerlukan waktu ekstraksi antara 4 sampai 6 jam untuk mencapai 5 - 6 sirkulasi. Alat ekstraksi yang digunakan di laboratorium Teknologi Hasil Pertanian Politeknik Negeri Lampung adalah Soxhlet merk Buchi dengan specifikasi Bichi 810buatan Swis, alat ini diproduksi tahun 1980an dan mulai dioperasikan sejak 1990, soxhlet ini terdiri dari enam set yang dirangkai menjadi satu perangkat unit (Soxhlet Fat Extraction Unit). Bagian-bagian penting dari soxhlet ini meliputi Steam Boiler sebagai penghasil uap panas, plat baja sebagai dudukan untuk cawan lemak, cawan lemak untuk menampung lemak dari hasil ekstraksi, labu ekstraksi sebagai tempat terjadinya proses ekstraksi, kondensor untuk mendinginkan pelarut sehingga pelarutterkondensasi dan tertampung pada labu ekstraksi, tangki penampung untuk menampung pelarut yang sudah dipisahkan dengan minyak atau lemak dan beberapa karet penyekat (seal) pada setiap sambungan kaca. Prinsip dari metode ekstraksi dengan pelarut (Solvent Extraction) ini adalah ekstraksi dengan melarutkan minyak dalam pelarut minyak dan lemak Pada pelaksanaan ekstraksi digunakan bahan pelarut lemak/minyak yang bersifat non polar. Beberapa jenis bahan pelarut lemak/minyak yang bersifat non polar antara lain Kloroform, Eter, Dietyl eter, Benzen, Petroleum Benzen, Normal Heksan dan Aceton. Proses ekstraksi berlangsung pada labu ekstraksi yang memiliki volume 200 ml, untuk mengekstrak satu sampel dari bahan yang diuji labu ekstraksi harus terisi pelarut lemak/minyak penuh, sekurang-kurangnya 200 ml.

PENINGKATAN KOMPETENSI CARA KERJA KAMERA KABEL SEDERHANA MELALUI METODE PRAKTIK REPRODUKSI DAN INSEMINASI BUATAN
Selama ini mahasiswa dalam praktikum Reproduksi dan Inseminasi buatan hanya sebagai user pada praktikum palpasi rektal. Mereka hanya sebatas memahami penggunaan palpasi rektal sehingga pemahaman cara prosedur kerja terhadap tahapan inseminasi Buatan (IB) sedikit terhambat secara komprehensif sangatlah kurang, akibatnya mahasiswa tidak mampu memahami trouble shooting yang terjadi pada praktikum reproduksi dan inseminasi buatan selama proses palpasi rektal. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan di atas, dibutuhkan metode pembelajaran yang efektif dan efisien untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa pada praktikum reproduksi dan inseminasi buatan. Peningkatan kompetensi tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan cara menerapkan metode praktik dengan bantuan kamera cabel sederhana dengan menggunakan bahan tambahan disen selang elastis padakamera cabel sehingga mahasiswa secara langsung dapat dengan mudah menemukan cervic sendiri karena di sambungkan dengan software dan smartphone yang terhubung dengan kabel USB yang dapat diuji coba pada praktikum reproduksi dan inseminasi buatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman dan kompetensi cara kerja kamera kabel sederhana, menambah wawasan dalam mendisen kamera cabel sederhan agar dapat di pergunakan bagi dosen, PLP, mahasiswa, dan masyarakat secara umum, serta meningkatkan minat mahasiswa dalam praktikum reproduksi dan inseminasi buatan. Penelitian ini mampu meningkatkan kompetensi cara kerja kamera cabel sederhana yang dilakukan mahasiswa meskipun hasil dari modifikasi ini belum sempurna.

PENERAPAN TEKNOLOGI SAMBUNG SAMPING UNTUK REHABILITASI TANAMAN KOPI DI DESA MUARA BARU LAMPUNG BARAT
The majority of Berkah Jaya farmer group community partnership program members work as coffee farmers. The production of coffee from farmers' gardens in recent years has continued to decline. This is because the age of the coffee plants in Muara Baru Village is more than ten years old. If prevention is not carried out, coffee production in Muara Baru Village in the next ten years will not be sufficient for the family's economic needs. This is because the cultivated coffee plants have exceeded the productive age limit of coffee plants. The partner's biggest wish is to make his or her garden return to high production every time the harvest season arrives. If production is high, it will have an impact on increasing the welfare of the village community. Therefore, community service activities (PKM) were carried out in the form of transfer of knowledge of side grafting technology to support the rehabilitation of coffee plants in Muara Baru village. Side grafting technology is needed for coffee plant rejuvenation in Muara Baru Village. Because if planting is done using new plants, a problem will arise in the form of a void in the production period. The vacancy during the production period results in no farmer's income for a certain period. Farmers need to get side grafting technology transfer because the members of the farmer group have never done side grafting as an effort to rejuvenate their coffee plants. The team has designed a method that is implemented by means of counseling, demonstrations, training, consultation and guidance, as well as evaluation. When the side grafting technology was transferred, all participants were enthusiastic to know how to do side grafting. At the end of the activity, the members of the farmer group were very satisfied with the success of the connection that had been made. An increase in understanding and technology by 100% after counseling was carried out, the application that was applied was 80% and the average increase in farmer's knowledge was 87.50%.Keywords: durian, grafting, superior seed
