The Analysis of Student’s Exam Anxiety and Its Effects on Psychological Reaction
Exams are a common activity at school, and students commonly experience anxiety related to exams. This study attempts to provide a general understanding of exam anxiety. This kind of study use quantitative descriptive research techniques and a test anxiety questionnaire as a tool for gathering data. The study's participants were SMAN 13 Padang students. Simple random sampling was used to select the subjects. This study combines descriptive analysis with data analysis tools. The findings of this study suggest that exam anxiety has a variety of manifestations. Each aspect has a different percentage; the emotional reaction aspect, which is the largest, falls into the high category, with a percentage of 38.9%; the cognitive reaction aspect, which is the highest, has a percentage of 53.7%; and the physiological reaction aspect, which is the largest, falls into the medium category, with a percentage of 37.9%. These findings suggest that many respondents struggle with exam anxiety. Critical Analysis of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy Approaches: Ethics and Values in Counseling
This article will begin with an overview of REBT theory before moving on to a discussion of the ethics governing the field of psychology. This paper will try to answer the question whether Ellis's (1955) REBT theory can be used independently during therapy sessions, or whether it requires a combination of ethics and values to provide the best service to clients or not. Ethical considerations must be applied to the application of theory to improve it and make it more useful in therapy sessions, therefore it is important to determine how well theory can function on its own while still meeting the needs of its clients
Effect of Task Aversiveness and Student Academic Procrastination
This study is objective to describe the task aversiveness and procrastination of academics, to analyze the influences between task aversiveness to procrastination of academics and to analyze the relationship between task aversiveness to procrastination of academics. This research uses descriptive quantitative research methods. Identification of the problem in the study, there is a correlation between procrastination and task aversiveness separately strong and stable. The Purpose of study is test of connection task aversiveness student with procrastination academic. In this study, researchers use a quantitative method with a descriptive correlative approach. The population in their study were 575 students.Amount sample in this study was 236 students which was taken by using Slovin formula. The Sample was taken from each different class, then the Proportional Stratified Random Sampling technique was used. On this research, there are two types of variables. They are variable free (independent) and variable bound (dependent). As for the free variable or the independent variablein this study is task aversiveness, while the bound variable or the dependent variable is academic procrastination. In this study, the data used is interval data. As for variable in this study is task aversiveness and procrastination academic. The research instrument used is a questionnaire using Likert Scale. The results of this research show 64.41 % of students have high task aversiveness. This shows that students who perceive task aversion bothered or are not comfortable with duty are in the high category. On procrastination academic shows 60.59 % have high academic procrastination behavior. This shows the behavior of procrastination academic student high category because many procrastinating students do academic duty in the period of time you want. From the hypothesis it is found that task aversion influences significantly to the procrastination of academics. We conclude that they are connection task aversiveness significantly to academic procrastination behavior . That is, the more and more high task aversiveness, then the behavior of academic procrastination will also increase, and vice versa
The Implementation of the Potensia Apps for Online Psychological Assessment during the Pandemic for Highschool Students in West Sumatra
Psychological assessment is an essential aspect of the implementation of counseling services. However, efforts to study needs by school counselors have yet to be optimal. The impact is the preparation of counseling service programs, and the level of accuracy in disclosing the psychological conditions of students and clients decreases. The process of downstream and disseminating the results of this research was carried out through community service activities to increase the distribution and utilization of research results for guidance and counseling teachers in Indonesia. This activity was carried out within two years. The method used is advanced training for school counselors in all districts/cities in West Sumatra with a focus on several schools appointed by partners, upgrading applications based on FGDs, improving application management, and commercializing the POTENSIA Android application. So far, the achievements and progress of program implementation have been the implementation of activities by presenting more than 60 school counselors from all over West Sumatra using the workshop method

Keterbatasan penglihatan pada tunanetra berdampak pada kehilangan informasi tentang apapun yang bersifat visual seperti ketidakmampuan dalam membaca buku-buku biasa atau buku-buku dengan tulisan awas. Printer Penerjemah Teks ke Audio-Braille atau PRIPEN TAB dirancang untuk dapat membantu tunanetra dalam memperoleh informasi melalui buku-buku dengan tulisan awas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development. Model pengembangan yang digunakan ialah Model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Dengan adanya PRIPEN TAB akan sangat membantu tunanetra dalam memperoleh informasi melalui buku-buku dengan tulisan awas tanpa bantuan orang lain, membantu guru dalam membuat bahan ajar braille demi menunjang pembelajaran tunanetra di sekolah
Self-Directed Learning dan Self-Regulated Learning terhadap Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Mahasiswa Tadris Matematika IAIN Kerinci
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi hubungan antara Self-Directed Learning (SDL) dan Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) dengan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa program studi Tadris Matematika IAIN Kerinci. Desain penelitian ini adalah korelasional, menggunakan sampel sebanyak 46 mahasiswa semester 2 dan 4. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi kuesioner SDL, SRL, dan tes keterampilan berpikir kritis, yang masing-masing diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis regresi berganda, didahului dengan uji asumsi klasik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa SDL dan SRL memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis, dengan nilai koefisien regresi sebesar 0,432 (p = 0,002) untuk SDL dan 0,356 (p = 0,007) untuk SRL. Penelitian ini memperkuat pentingnya pengembangan SDL dan SRL dalam konteks pendidikan matematika untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Temuan ini relevan untuk merancang intervensi pendidikan yang lebih efektif, mendorong kemandirian dan regulasi diri dalam proses pembelajaran
Korelasi Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Dan Pemahaman Konsep Materi Sistem Peredaran Darah Manusia Dalam Pembelajaran Biologi
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi hubungan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar pada materi sistem peredaran darah manusia. Studi korelasional dilakukan di SMA Negeri di Sungai Penuh pada Agustus 2020, melibatkan 57 siswa kelas XI yang dipilih melalui cluster random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes esai untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis berdasarkan lima indikator Ennis (elementary clarification, basic support, inferring, advanced clarification, strategies and tactics) dan tes pilihan ganda hasil belajar berbasis Taksonomi Bloom revisi Anderson dan Krathwohl. Validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen diuji dengan Anates 4.0, memperoleh koefisien reliabilitas 0.79 dan 0.73. Analisis data menggunakan SPSS 23 meliputi uji normalitas Kolmogorov-Smirnov, uji linearitas, korelasi Pearson, dan regresi sederhana. Hasil uji prasyarat menunjukkan data terdistribusi normal (p > 0.05) dan hubungan linear signifikan (p = 0.785). Analisis korelasi menunjukkan koefisien 0.67 (p = 0.002), menandakan hubungan positif signifikan. Hasil regresi sederhana menunjukkan nilai R sebesar 0.667 dan R Square 0.763, berarti 76.3% variasi hasil belajar dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan berpikir kritis. Persamaan regresi Y = 15.321 + 0.742X mengindikasikan pengaruh signifikan berpikir kritis terhadap hasil belajar. Kesimpulannya, kemampuan berpikir kritis memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung pemahaman konsep siswa. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan perlunya strategi pembelajaran yang menekankan pengembangan berpikir kritis, seperti pendekatan berbasis inkuiri dan pemecahan masalah, untuk meningkatkan kualitas hasil belaja
Differences in the Level of Career Aspirations of High School Students with Minangkabau and Chinese Cultural Backgrounds
Career aspiration is one of the factors that influence one's career maturity. Career aspirations direct individual behavior to achieve the career that is their hopes or dreams. Career aspirations can help students choose a secondary school that matches the abilities and potentials of the individual. The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in career aspirations of high school students with Minangkabau and Chinese cultural backgrounds. This research uses a comparative descriptive quantitative approach. The population in this study were students of class XI and XII who have Minangkabau and Chinese cultural backgrounds at SMA Negeri 1 Padang and SMA Don Bosco Padang. The research sample was 295 students consisting of 173 Minangkabau students (79 male & 94 female) and 122 Chinese students (64 male and 58 female). The instrument used was the Career Aspiration Level Entry List (DITAK). The measuring instrument used is valid and the reliability coefficient of DITAK is 0.86. Based on the results of the study, there are differences in the level of career aspirations of high school students with Minangkabau and Chinese cultural backgrounds, where the level of career aspirations of Chinese students is higher than that of Minangkabau students. The implication of the results of this study is as discussion material and input for the school in making guidance and counseling service programs, especially in the field of career development
Kontribusi latar belakang sosial ekonomi orang tua di masa Covid-19 terhadap perkembangan sains anak (survei pada anak taman kanak-kanak di Kecamatan Bukik Barisan)
Education is one of those affected by Covid-19, so students carry out the learning process from home and the role of parents is demanded more so that they can develop science in children. The socioeconomic status of parents is very important in supporting facilities for learning and developing children's science. This study aims to describe the contribution of parents' socioeconomic background during the Covid-19 period to children's scientific development. This study uses a descriptive correlational quantitative method with 94 respondents as parents of children in Kindergarten, Bukik Barisan District. Data analysis was performed using the regression method using dummy variables with SPSS 26 software. The instrument was validated using expert judgment techniques and the reliability test showed Cronbach's Alpha 0.872. The research findings show that learning outcomes based on (1) parental occupation and income are in the good category, (2) the contribution of parents' work to the development of science is 3.7%, (3) the contribution of parents' income to the development of science is 9.3%, (4) the contribution of work and income of parents to the development of science is 14.7%, (5) overall, work and income contribute to the development of children's science
The Needs Analysis of the Android-based Online Psychological Assessment Applications Usage for School Counselors in West Sumatra
Psychological assessment for students is one of the activities that cannot be separated from counseling services. Psychological attributes obtained from the implementation of the assessment can be used by school counselors to intervene and develop counseling programs. However, conditions in the field indicate that school counselors still have not carried out a comprehensive assessment of the condition of students, so this has an impact on the effectiveness of counseling services. This research and community service aims to provide training and skills for school counselors in conducting psychological assessments using an Android application called Potential. The urgency of using this application has increased since the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic, where students and school counselors cannot meet face-to-face. This community service is carried out in stages in a series of workshops and independent training. School counselors are provided with a Potential account that can be used at their school. The results of community service activities show that students' psychological conditions are generally mapped through applications and assist school counselors in planning and developing effective programs
