    Perbedaan Konsep Diri Siswa SMK Ditinjau Berdasarkan Keutuhan Keluarga dan Jenis Kelamin

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena yang terjadi pada siswa yang tidak mampu memandang diri sendiri secara positif. Pembentukan konsep diri siswa dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, diantaranya orang tua dan jenis kelamin. Kehadiran orang tua mengajarkan bagaimana menilai diri sendiri serta kerangka dasar untuk membentuk konsep diri. Sama halnya perbedaan jenis kelamin mampu memberi pengaruh pada konsep diri siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji perbedaan konsep diri siswa ditinjau dari keutuhan keluarga dan jenis kelamin. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, jenis penelitian deskriptif komparatif dengan desain model faktorial. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Pengambilan data secara sampling dengan jumlah sampel 260 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Secara keseluruhan konsep diri siswa ditinjau dari keutuhan keluarga dan jenis kelamin berada pada kategori sedang (45,4%). (2) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara konsep diri siswa berdasarkan keutuhan keluarga. (3) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara konsep diri siswa berdasarkan jenis kelamin. (4) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara keutuhan keluarga dan jenis kelamin dalam menjelaskan konsep diri siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, konselor atau guru BK dapat menyediakan sarana untuk mengadakan pertemuan dengan orang tua siswa atau wali murid guna bekerja sama dalam mendukung pengembangan konsep diri siswa

This article explores the relationship between self-concept, family support, and marriage readiness. It is based on a literature review that analysed multiple sources and previous research, which are synthesized and presented here. Therefore, a positive correlation between an individual's self-concept and the support they receive from their family is crucial in determining their readiness to enter the marriage phase.     Keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal yang efektif adalah kunci keberhasilan peran konselor atau guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) dalam sebuah layanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal guru BK terhadap stakeholder di lingkungan sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam terhadap empat Guru BK SMA Laboratorium UM. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal guru BK berperan penting dalam membangun hubungan yang positif dan efektif dengan stakeholder, termasuk siswa, orang tua, dan staf sekolah. Guru BK yang memiliki keterampilan mendengarkan aktif, empati, dan kemampuan memfasilitasi diskusi yang terbuka cenderung berhasil dalam memahami kebutuhan dan masalah yang dihadapi oleh stakeholder, serta memberikan dukungan yang sesuai

    Social care needs to be enhanced to solve social problems that occur in students. The study described the level of social concern of students in the environment of Global Solar Independent SMK based on a gender survey. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The population in this study was all XI class students totaled 95 students. The sample used was 95 students, sampling technique using saturated samples. The data collection technique is carried out using the likert model scale instrument. The results of this study revealed that SMK Global Solar Independent students have a social concern for their surrounding environment in a moderate category. The data showed that 15.8% had a high social concern, 63.2% had a moderate student social care, and 21.1% had a low student social concern.     Penelitian ini mengkaji faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku merokok di kalangan siswa SMKN 5 Padang, mengingat tingginya prevalensi merokok di kalangan remaja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku merokok pada  siswa di SMKN 5 Padang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, sampel penelitian terdiri dari 201 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik proportional random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan skala perilaku merokok yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya (0,760) dan dianalisis menggunakan SPSS versi 29.0 dengan rumus Kolmogorov-Smirnov. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor peer attachment, stress, dan pola asuh orang tua masing-masing berada pada kategori tinggi, dengan persentase 50,75%, 70,15%, dan 69,15%. Ini menandakan bahwa perilaku merokok di kalangan siswa SMKN 5 Padang tergolong tinggi

    Relationship Between School Discipline Culture with Student Learning Motivation

    The study aims to discover and describe the cultural relationships of school disciplines with students’ learning motivations at school. The approach used in this study is computational research with Correlational descriptive methods. The population in the study was 164 students with a sample of 117 students. Sampling techniques are based on proportional random sampling. The instrument used is the likert model scale on the cultural variables of discipline and learning motivation. Data analysis techniques use Pearson product moment analysis using SPSS version 26.     Hubungan Pemahaman Lingkungan dengan Pengambilan Keputusan Karier Siswa SMK

    Fenomena permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh siswa SMK yaitu berhubungan dengan pengambilan keputusan karier. Pengambilan keputusan karier merupakan proses pemilihan karier yang sesuai dengan minat dan bakat yang dimiliki siswa. Siswa dapat mengambil keputusan karier apabila paham dengan lingkungan sekitarnya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu melihat gambaran pemahaman lingkungan dan pengambilan keputusan karier siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif korelasional. Adapun sampel sebanyak 232 siswa dan teknik pengambilan sampel Propotional Random Sampling. Hubungan kedua variabel dapat diketahui menggunakan rumus product moment. Hasil penelitian menemukan: 1) pemahaman lingkungan siswa pada kategori sedang 2) pengambilan keputusan karier siswa pada kategori rendah 3) terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara pemahaman lingkungan dengan pengambilan keputusan karier dengan rxy= 0,618 dan taraf signifikansi 0,000. Untuk itu dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan guru BK harus berperan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai karier melalui bimbingan karier, asesmen karier, dan mediator dalam pengambilan keputusan karir siswa

    The Learning Difficulties of International Students in Universitas Negeri Padang and Universitas Jambi and its Implication of the Role of Guidance and Counseling

    Learning difficulties is used to describe a variety of academic issues. It consists of poor academic performance and general learning deficiencies. International students who study abroad have learning difficulties adjusting to the Indonesia’s academic and social systems Learning difficulties of international students encompass the range of barriers that international students face while striving to succeed in their academic pursuits within the Indonesian higher education system. This research is a comparative descriptive type research with the quantitative method. The population of this research is international students from Universitas Negeri Padang and Universitas Jambi. The number of samples is 30 international selected using Total Sampling Method.The research instrument used was Google form survey questionnaire with Likert Scale type. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical technique and Mann-Whitney technique with the help of the SPSS 25 program. The results of the study revealed that (1) the learning difficulties of international students were in the very high category (2) language barrier aspect was in the high category whereas social barrier and dissatisfaction of lecturers were in the very high category, and (3) there was no significant difference between the learning difficulties faced by international students from Universitas Negeri Padang and Universitas Jambi. Based on the research findings, it is suggested to counseling teachers or counselors to be able to provide guidance and counseling services which are information services, individual counseling services, and group guidance services to international students, in order to help them overcome their learning difficulties

    Application of Happenstance Learning Theory (HLT) in new normal life after the COVID-19 pandemic

    During the COVID-19 period many individuals were unable to work because of this outbreak. This research was conducted to apply Happenstance Learning Theory (HLT) during the new normal period. Happenstance Learning Theory is conducted with the aim of assessing skills in using coincidences in developing career opportunities. The method in this research is quantitative descriptive, the samples used in this study were 88 respondents using multistage random sampling techniques. The results of this study indicate that the skills in using opportunities are in the very low category with a percentage of 56%. And seen from the 5 dimensions of Happenstance Learning Theory namely Optimism is in the very low category 39.8%; Flexibility is in the low category of 31.8%; Persistence is in the very low category of 28%; Curiosity; in the medium category 30.7%, and Risk Taking in the very low category 26.4%. Based on the results of this study it was found that there is a need for careful career planning carried out by individuals in making career choices especially during the COVID-19 pandemic

    This research was motivated by the phenomenon that some students have career interests are not in line with the major in which they live. The purpose of this study was to describe how the match between the choice of majors with career interests of students with descriptive method. The number of samples is 86 students of SMAN 1 Payakumbuh and 77 students of MAN 2 Payakumbuh. The sampling technique using Stratified Random Sampling techniques. The instrument of this research using questionnaires about career interests by using of Holland's theory. Data will be analyzed by classifying the type of personality that tends to lead to the kind personality for science majors and that tends to lead to the social science majors. The next one match majors choice with career interest seen by his personality type. The results of this study are 46.62% of the students have not had a match between the choice of majors with career interests while as many as 53.37% of the students already have a match between the choice of majors with career interests.
