Типология как теоретическая и практическая проблема библиотековедения
Get PDFThe article is devoted to the problem of development of typology in library science. There are presented the basic meanings of the “type” concept. There exist two approaches to its understanding: practical (pragmatic, ontological) that is often used in everyday life, and scientific (theoretical, logical), more legitimate in professional practice and science. In library science “classification” and “typology” concepts are used in parallel, sometimes considered to be equivalent synonyms, but there is a substantial difference between them. There is analyzed and presented in a table correlation between “typology” and “classification” concepts. There is discussed the development of problem of library typology in the national and foreign library science. There are presented parameters of library activities proposed by the library scientists to be the type forming criteria. Development of electronic libraries, that has become commonplace today, led to the problem of finding place for them in typological schemes or creating their own typology. There are highlighted two key parameters (criteria of classification): sphere of servicing, maintained social activities and area of interaction with the user. It is justified importance of the development of the problem of library typo-logy for the theory and practice of librarianship. Development of criteria for grouping and structuring the libraries will help the orientation in library and information space, improvement of the requirements and approaches to the management of library institutions, training of experts in different library and information areas

Get PDFThe article introduces into scientific circulation the two manuscripts of the famous monument of the Old Russian literature “Alexandria Serbian” - translation of the medieval novel about the life and exploits of Alexander the Great, King of Macedonia. Both manuscripts - in the Russian State Library (the first third of the 17th century) and in the State Literary Museum (the first third of the 19th century) - contain original additions to the text made by unknown Old Russian scribes. The most interesting of them is inserted in the story of the death and burial of the great commander the lengthy Plach (Lamentation) of his wife Queen Roxanne. The study of this text demonstrates not only its closeness to the traditional Russian funeral widow Crying and Prichitaniya (Wailing), including Plach (Lamentation) of the widow of Tsar Fedor Ivanovich - Tsaritsa Irina, but also the semantic parallels with the quite famous laments of the wife of the eminent commander of the Time of Troubles in Russia Prince Mikhail Skopin-Shuisky - Princess Alexandra Vasilievna and his mother Princess Elena Petrovna, included in the several literary monuments of the early 17th century, where the central place is occupied by the description of his sudden death at the feast, that immediately gave rise to the story of his poisoning. To the Time of Troubles in Russia pointed the original epilogue written to Alexandria in the both manuscripts.В научный оборот вводятся две рукописные книги с текстом известного памятника древнерусской литературы, так называемой «Александрии Сербской» - переводного средневекового романа о жизни и подвигах Александра Македонского. Обе рукописи, хранящиеся в Российской государственной библиотеке (первой трети XVII в.) и в Государственном литературном музее (первой трети XIX в.), содержат оригинальные дополнения текста, сделанные неизвестными древнерусскими книжниками. Наибольший интерес из них представляет вставленный в рассказ о смерти и погребении великого полководца пространный плач его жены - царицы Роксаны. Исследование этого текста показало не только его близость к традиционным русским похоронным вдовьим плачам и причитаниям, в том числе к плачу вдовы царя Федора Ивановича - царицы Ирины, но и смысловые параллели с получившими большую известность плачами жены выдающегося полководца эпохи Смуты в России князя Михаила Скопина-Шуйского - княгини Александры Васильевны и его матери - княгини Елены Петровны, вошедшими в несколько памятников литературы начала XVII в., в которых одно из центральных мест занимают описания неожиданной смерти князя на пиру, породившей версию о его отравлении. На эпоху Смутного времени в России указывает и оригинальное послесловие текста «Александрии» в данных рукописях

Members of IFLA’s Public Libraries Standing Committee and their colleagues have joined together to collect some examples and stories of the role public libraries are playing in the refugee crisis, particularly in Europe. The resulting document is not meant to be exhaustive but is more of a starting point for shared experience and inspiration and demonstrates the power of libraries to make a difference in people’s lives. Подготовка кадров в библиотечно-информационной сфере (опыт Санкт-Петербургского государственного института культуры)
Get PDFIt is analyzed the current status and problems of Library and Information Science Education. The major problems are highlighted: vocational work with applicants and students, the responsibility of employers for targeted training, the employment of graduates, frequent changes of Federal Education Standards, absence of professional standard for “Library and Information Specialist”, the ratio of activities and competences of secondary and higher education levels, regeneration of scientific-pedagogical staff, organization of professional development training for culture university professors and librarians, etc. The ways of solutions are shown, using the example of St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture (SPbGIK). Strengths are highlighted: the reputation of SPbGIK as the oldest university in the area of culture; the availability of scientific and pedagogical schools, providing substantive training for different types of libraries; active vocational work, aimed at involving professors and students in St. Petersburg’s professional community library life; research activities of faculty members and students; project work; volunteer activities; international activities, organization of “BiblioFest” Student Festival and other student initiatives.Анализируется современное состояние и проблемы подготовки кадров по направлению «Библиотечно-информационная деятельность». Выделяются основные проблемы: профориентационная работа с абитуриентами и студентами, ответственность работодателей за целевую подготовку, трудоустройство выпускников, частая смена образовательных стандартов, отсутствие профессионального стандарта «Специалист библиотечно-информационной деятельности», соотношение видов деятельности и компетенций среднего и высшего уровней образования, воспроизводство научно-педагогических кадров, организация повышения квалификации преподавателей вузов культуры и сотрудников библиотек и др. Предлагаются пути их решения на примере деятельности Санкт-Петербургского государственного института культуры (СПбГИК). Выделяются сильные стороны: репутация института как старейшего вуза культуры; наличие научно-педагогических школ, обеспечивающих профильную подготовку кадров для библиотек разных типов; активная профориентационная работа, направленная на вовлечение преподавателей и студентов в профессиональную жизнь библиотечного сообщества Санкт-Петербурга; научно-исследовательская деятельность преподавателей и студентов; проектная работа; волонтерская деятельность; международная деятельность, организация студенческого фестиваля «БиблиоФест» и другие студенческие инициативы

Get PDFIt is important to emphasize the professionals who contributed to the collecting, study and introducing into scientific use the editions of the Department of rare books of the V.I. Lenin State Library of the USSR (GBL, nowadays - the Russian State Library). Successful work of the Department from 1935 to 1949 was largely attributed to its Head - Nikolay Osipovich Kutchmenko. He worked in GBL from March 15, 1935 as chief librarian of the Department of rare and early printed books, performing the duties of Head of the Department, from July 15, 1935 - Head of the Department of rare books; from the end of June, 1941 also headed the Department of manuscripts, and from March 3, 1949 he was chief librarian of the Department of rare books. He was released from work in GBL on October 25, 1954. Under the leadership of N.O. Kutchmenko the collections of the Department were prepared to move to new premises; he conducted competent personnel policy in the Department; there were held exhibitions (including the war years). On his initiative were organized various publications of research studies of the employees of GBL Department of rare books, there was published “Inventory of Incunabula” (1939), and were prepared editions of A.F. Korostin “Beginning of Lithography in Russia” (1943) and A.S. Zernovaya “Beginning of Book Printing in Moscow and Ukraine” (1947). He led evacuation of the Department collections in 1941, and in 1944 - re-evacuation of book collections with check of state of collections composition, allocation in collections, and preparation for use. N.O. Kutchmenko showed himself as knowledgeable person, great organizer, able to work with people.Важно отметить специалистов, трудом которых собраны, изучены и введены в научный оборот издания отдела редких книг Государственной библиотеки СССР им. В.И. Ленина (ГБЛ, ныне - Российская государственная библиотека). Успех работы отдела с 1935 по 1949 г. был во многом обеспечен его руководителем - Николаем Осиповичем Кучменко. Он работал в ГБЛ с 15 марта 1935 г. главным библиотекарем отдела редких и старопечатных книг с исполнением обязанностей заведующего отделом, с 15 июля 1935 г. - заведующим отделом редких книг, с конца июня 1941 г. также возглавлял отдел рукописей, а с 3 марта 1949 г. находился на должности главного библиотекаря отдела редких книг. Был освобожден от работы в ГБЛ 25 октября 1954 года. Под руководством Н.О. Кучменко фонды отдела были подготовлены к переезду в новые помещения, проведена грамотная кадровая политика отдела, проводились выставки (в том числе в годы Великой Отечественной войны). По его инициативе были организованы различные публикации исследований сотрудников отдела редких книг ГБЛ, вышел в свет «Инвентарь инкунабулов» (1939), подготовлены издания А.Ф. Коростина «Начало литографии в России» (1943) и А.С. Зерновой «Начало книгопечатания в Москве и на Украине» (1947). Он возглавлял эвакуацию фондов отдела в 1941 г., а в 1944 г. - реэвакуацию книжных собраний с проверкой состояния состава фондов, распределением по коллекциям, подготовкой к использованию. Н.О.
